Reille was crying all night. She missed her father and her people. Especially her friends.
"Stop that incessant crying!" Bakugo threw open the door. "When you so eagerly agreed to come and work for me, I assumed you wouldn't miss your family quite so much."
"I made my sacrifice for them. Of-of course I miss them, you beast!" Reille growled back.
"Yes, yes, of course." Bakugo waved her off. "But the crying must stop. Night after night! It's making it very difficult for me to work out. You know, I do my best thinking then." He held up a soft pillow. "Perhaps this'll help?"
"For me?" Reille said, touched.
"Not quite so beastly now, am I?"
"Thank you." Reille said warmly. "Maybe now I can actually get some sleep."
Bakugo laughed unkindly. "No, no, no. It's not to help you sleep, dearie. It's to muffle the cries so I can get back to work!"
There was a pounding and the sound of footsteps in the castle. Bakugo's ears twitched.
Reille stood, and the two raced to catch the intruder.
"Bakugo you foul beast!" Deku shouted. "You shall die by my hand!"
He smashed forward and grabbed Reiko, then turned his fists towards Bakugo.
Reille was trapped, but Bakugo was firm and still.
"Bakugo!" Reille cried desperately as Deku tightened his grip.
Furious, Bakugo leapt forward and grabbed her.
The hero, realizing he had almost destroyed an innocent woman, stayed his attack.
Bakugo blasted the hero with his explosive power. "How DARE you lay your filthy hands on my woman!"
Reille didn't know whether to be flattered or terrified.
"You have a lot of bluster, hero, but you are a mere thief." Bakugo growled. "Give me back what's mine."
"NEVER!" Deku snapped.
Bakugo grinned. "Are you sure you wanna do this, hero?" He whispered to Reiko, "Watch this, bookworm."
Deku put his hero cowl on and retrieved his bow from his back. "Pretty sure."
"If you don't know how to use that wand, it can do nasty things to you." Bakugo advised.
"Well, then... I'll stick to what I know works. Do you know what this arrow can do to you?" Deku aimed at him.
Bakugo grinned. "Has to hit me first." He blasted up into the air, avoiding the hero.
Deku smiled darkly. "Shouldn't be a problem. An arrow fired from this bow always finds its target. Don't you just love magic?" Deku fired the arrow, and Bakugo used his quirk to avoid it but the magic worked and he was hit.
"I know I do." Deku grinned.
Bakugo smiled back with all his teeth and said. "As do I!" AS he pulled the arrow out of his chest, laughin. "But don't you know? All magic comes with a price! And in your case, that's me."
And he blasted the vigilante to hell.
