An Asian girl about sixteen years old with black hair long hair tied into a ponytail wearing green was looking at her phone smiling while waiting for her date in front of a karaoke place when a stranger approached her
"Hey babe, what is a pretty girl like you doing all alone in a place like this huh?" the stranger said smiling at her ogling her
The girl smiled at the stranger "Hii, I'm waiting for my boyfriend, we arranged to meet here, I arrived a bit early but that's fine, thanks for worrying about me" She said
"Does this boyfriend really like you that much? leaving you here all alone… I don't know… don't you wanna go sing a bit with me instead" the stranger tried to grab her shoulder but before he could do that a hand grabbed his arm from behind
"Kuki, you should really take a hint, this idiot is trying to hit on you" From behind him a blonde short boy sixteen years old wearing an orange checkered shirt with a white t-shirt below it, he was wearing jeans shorts "Alright friend show is over go hit on another one nothing to see here" the boy smirked
"Wait, this midget is your boyfriend?" The stranger started laughing while pointing at the boy "Go away brat, she is way out of your league" the guy proceeded to push the boy in the floor
"Wally" Kuki looked at her boyfriend who was smiling on the floor "Don't kill him"
"Noted" Wally immediately did a kip-up and got back on his feet while taking a fight instance
"Is this a joke?" The guy laughed at him and took a fighting stance jokingly "Does shorty wanna fight?" the stranger tried punching Wally only for Wally to dodge it and land a Punch right against his jaw knocking the stranger out as he fell on some trash that was nearby
"Fucking clown" Wally said as he spits in the stranger's face
"I'm happy you are trying to suppress your anger, usually you would keep punching him after knocking him out" Kuki clapped her hands and kissed him on the cheek "Not only that but you're right on time" she giggled
"This has to be a new record, the date didn't even begin and Wally already got in a fight" a girl said, a couple approached them from across the street, the girl had blonde long hair and used a orange jacket with a aqua t-shirt below it with orange cargo pants the boy used a red t-shirt with a black blazer above it with black jeans pants
"Hi guys!" Kuki waved at the couple "Rachel let's sing lots today as well" she giggled
"Nigel check this one out" Wally looked at the stranger in the floor who had just woken up "Bozo here tried to hit on Kuki, when I told him to piss off genius here pushed me on the floor" the stranger was looking at Numbuh 4 scared
"Impressive, you didn't disfigure him" Numbuh 1 looked at the stranger and crouched next to him "Tough luck mate, you tried to fight a boxing prodigy" Nigel gave the guy a few light taps on his cheek "Don't even try filing for assault" Nigel pointed at a camera in front of the karaoke place as the guy got up and left scared of them
The stranger bumped in a couple on his way out of there, a Redhead girl with frizzy hair wearing a green sweater and orange pants hugging a boy with black hair military cut wearing a green jacket with a white shirt below it he was also wearing black cargo pants "Sorry" the boy said
"Hey guys" the redhead girl waved at them smiling
Kuki approached the girl and hugged her "Fanny!"
Fanny hugged her back smiling "Are we late? We could have arrived in time if we didn't have to search Patton's cellphone"
"No, you guys are right on time, Hoagie and Abby are the only ones remaining now" Wally said looking at the couple while Kuki returned to his side
"Are you sure about that girl?" A black girl using a red cap tapped Kuki's shoulder, she was wearing a blue baggy shirt with distressed mid-rise shorts "Sup"
"Actually we were the first ones here, we were waiting for everyone to arrive" Hoagie pointed to a dark blue old sedan across the street, he was wearing a blue shirt with beige cargo pants and a brown cap
"No way!" The other boys said while they approached his car "This mechanic job of yours is finally paying off" Numbuh 4 said
"Ehhh… not really, it's a bit of a beater to be honest, but the folk at the workshop helped me paint and wax it, the parts to fix it came from my pocket though… Can you guys pay the entry in the karaoke for the next few months for me pleeeease?" Hoagie looked at them smiling a bit embarrassed
"You do know Abby here can pay for your stuff right?" Numbuh 5 pulled a credit card from her pocket showing it to him
"You know this would hurt my pride…" Hoagie looked at her smiling sadly
"Don't be a brat, come on we have songs to sing, stuff to eat and things to discuss" Numbuh 5 pulled his ear leading him to the karaoke while the others followed the couple
After paying for their usual room and getting inside Numbuh 3 immediately started singing rainbow monkey songs while the other cheered for her and ordered drinks
After a few minutes they heard a song coming from the lamp on their room's ceiling, the lamp was easily removed and from the hole in the ceiling a boy resembling Hoagie but wearing a black hat and a mask jumped in the room "Hey guys" he waved at the teens it was Tommy Numbuh 2's younger brother, he then noticed Kuki was still singing ignoring him "Huhh… should i brief you guys only or does she…"
"We tell her the details when she snaps out of it, how are you doing Tommy?" Rachel patted him on the head and smiled at him
"Huhhh…" Tommy blushed while looking at her "Supreme leader Lee wanted to talk to you guys…" Tommy was a private contractor that operated outside of KND jurisdiction and also worked for Teens and Adults at times being able to make a reputation for himself, he is mainly an outside cell of the KND though
"Alright, patch us through" Rachel smiled at him while the others watched him in silence except for Numbuh 3 who didn't even notice the boy yet
Tommy pulled out of his pocket a hologram device, upon pressing it the image of an Asian boy wearing a black and orange samurai outfit playing with a yoyo appeared as a hologram "Sup" Lee gave the teens a peace sign smiling at them
"It has been a few months since you needed to talk to us Lee, good thing we always go to the same place" Rachel looked at the boy smiling
"That certainly makes things a bit easier…I will go straight to the point so I don't interrupt your… teenager stuff" he looked at Numbuh 3 raising an eyebrow "There seems to be a plan from the teen ninjas that involves attacking moonbase… pretty basic stuff just them trying to steal some information from us… since some of you guys are acting as spy cells inside it I just want some information on how they will attack, if you guys are recruited to take part in this you know the drill just commit some minor mistakes to facilitate our job your cover is more important than the mission by itself though so don't risk it too much" Lee smiled at the TND operatives "Oh, one more thing Tommy? Nacho and Cheese Yipper Night is postponed, Sonya wants to take me to a Dinner date, sorry about that…" Lee tried looking away from the team a bit embarrassed
Tommy looked at him angrily but then before he could say anything he sighed "Fine… give me some cases so at least I have something to do on Saturday" he looked at his friend sadly
"Sure… sorry about that, Numbuh 84 signing off" the hologram transmission then ended
The team looked at Tommy a bit concerned "Can't you just hang out with my brothers? It's not like they want anything to do with me since I joined the teen ninjas and I can't say to them I'm still technically knd" Fanny crossed her arms and looked at Tommy
"I'm not exactly close to them… don't worry about me, It's not like he just has a few days on his schedule where he can hang out and he chooses to go with his stupid girlfriend every time he gets the chance" Tommy stomped out of the room and jumped back to the hole in the ceiling as he put the lamp back where it was
"Sorry about that…" Numbuh 2 scratched the back of his head
"The boy is in a tough spot, usually you have tons of kids to hang out in the KND so it's never lonely but since he can't return to the organization and choose to be a private contractor… must be lonely" Patton looked at the ceiling
"Can't you set him up with Mushi Numbuh 3?" Rachel looked at Kuki who stopped singing for a second to hear her friend
"Huhhh… is this about the usual problem? Tommy not making any friends besides Sonya and Lee?" Numbuh 3 smiled awkwardly at her team who nodded their heads "Huhhh… you guys do know that Mushi is a major supervillain for the KND right now riiight?"
The team looked at Kuki in disbelief except for Wally "I wish I didn't" Wally said crossing his arms "The brat kept pestering me in a mission recently" he said
"Well… maybe Tommy can make her see her mistakes…" Hoagie said before bursting out laughing with the others including Kuki
Tommy was flying in his 2x4 personal vehicle the D.E.T.E.C.T.I.V.E ( DEFT ELUSIVE TRANSPORT EAGLE CATCHES TARGET VERY EFFICIENTLY) the ship was in autopilot while Tommy banged his head against the ship's console "Nacho cheese yipper night… right… stupid idea… no distractions… catching bad guys… maybe getting some money from the villains in the process…" Tommy slapped himself and proceeded to patrol the city at night, after about an hour he noticed a bandit entering a KND deposit "Alright… time to set myself up with some rewards from the KND…" he smiled while jumping out of his ship as his cape made him glide in the thief's direction he managed to kick the bandit away from the skylight it was trying to enter "Alright… you can turn yourself in and make things easier for me or make things harder for yourself" he looked at the thief
The thief was wearing a white and red rainbow monkey mask with a purple kimono, she also used two candy canes as weapons, That was when Tommy recognized the girl it was Lady Lemur, a kid super villain that usually stole KND property "Hi Tommy" the girl waved at him
"Mushi… I just met with your sister, she didn't talk much with me though" The boy focused on the girl trying to not get fooled by her innocent voice "You really get on my nerves you know that?"
"Why is that?" she laid on her belly in the roof and looked at him in a cute way "Elucidate me"
"You are the sister of one of the most respected operatives along with my brother, you could be big in the organization but instead you chose to be a thief…" He looked at her sadly
"Well… you are a mercenary so… I think you aren't the best person to be judging me" she giggled as she approached Tommy "Funny… I thought today was Nacho and Cheese yipper night with Lee… My plan was perfect. I've been planning to steal some candies and plushies from this storage for weeks" she crossed her arms smiling at him "Did Lee pull a Hoes before Bros on you again?" she snickered
"Alright that's it, turn around I'm taking you to arctic" Before Tommy could approach her Mushi did a backflip and threw some smoke bombs and vanished from sight
"If you truly wanna talk about it, visit me some time you know my home address, preferably when you cool your head off and notice that those two jerks you call friends don't care about you even for a second" Tommy could hear her voice but didn't quite know where she went
Tommy sighed as he pressed some buttons on his watch and went aboard his ship with a grappling hook
Mushi was actually inside the storage in a blind spot, she stole bags and more bags of candy along with a limited edition Rainbow monkey that night and returned to her home a few hours later, she passed Numbuh 3 who had returned from karaoke with her friends, the two sisters gave each other a silent nod and went their separate ways, the two sisters had agreed to not fight each other just so things on their home could be peaceful but this night was different
After Mushi went to her room she proceeded to hug her new Rainbow monkey while rolling on her bed giggling. That was when Kuki opened her door "Dinner's ready?" she asked her sister in a monotone way
"No… I wanna talk about what you did today.." Kuki crossed her arms smiling at her younger sister
"Didn't we agree not to talk about this kind of stuff at home?" Mushi was clearly annoyed at her older sister
"Yeah… but a guy from the teen ninjas told me you talked with Tommy earlier while you were stealing from KND, Hoagie told me to thank you, even though you probably didn't help him in any way. He needs someone to talk right now" she smiled at her sister
Mushi sighed "Say to him he is welcome" she looked at her new Rainbow Monkey "Good thing he can't join Kids next door, if his friends do this kind of stuff with him I can only imagine the kind of stuff the other operatives would do" Mushi threw her new rainbow monkey against the wall in a fit of rage
Kuki giggled "Don't you lie to me silly, I know you would abandon everything just to be together with him" Numbuh 3 smiled at her sister
"We already had this talk…" Mushi looked at the ceiling "If I could wish for something, anything, it would be for him to confess to me and abandon the private contractor thing, I would give up on this Lady Lemur thing in a flash if he did that"
"I still can't believe you turned into a super-villain just to be able to talk to a boy" Kuki sat next to her on her bed
"Well… the candies and limited edition Rainbow monkeys are a nice bonus hehe…" she snickered and looked away from her sister "But yeah, I started this whole thing just to get closer to him, It's nice… but I want more" she sighed
Suddenly a knock in her window could be heard, Mushi raised an eyebrow and lifted it In front of her there it was Tommy covering his face with his hat but Mushi could clearly see him blushing "Hey… I don't wanna quit the private contractor thing but… I could accept the part where you said I confessed"
Mushi instantly blushed, she looked at her back, and there it was Kuki waving her goodbye smiling at her while closing the door "Did she put you up to it?"
"No… When I heard you stole the storage I decided to go in your house and get back the things you stole.." Tommy lowered his head "Then I heard you two talking and well…"
"Oh…" Mushi paused for a second "Get inside.." she pulled away from the window and picked up the Rainbow monkey she stole early "Here…" she handed him the Monkey while trying to avert her gaze
"You can keep it!" Tommy blushed "I'm not in the mood for it right now" he sat on her bed and sighed "You are kinda childish you know that?"
"Says the boy who walks around the city in a superhero costume" she giggled "But yeah… I am kinda childish "
"I think you see Lee and Sonya in the wrong way though… I mean you would probably do the same if you had the amount of job he has and only a few days a month to get with his girlfriend" Tommy said
Mushi sighed "Maybe I exaggerated a bit, still, you should find someone to hang out besides those two jerks"
Tommy smiled at her "Yeah… I think you're right…" Tommy approached her and kissed her on the lips "Do you… wanna go out or something like that?" Tommy was scratching the back of his head while trying to avert her gaze
Mushi was also blushing but she was smiling radiantly "I would love to" she giggled and kissed him back
"All's well that ends well" Numbuh 2 said looking at a notebook with a camera displaying Mushi's room, He and the rest of his friends were outside the Sanban residence inside Numbuh 2's car "Thanks for putting it there Numbuh 3, I'm glad we decided to go along with the plan" Numbuh 2 said
"I should be the one thanking you silly, It's so good to see her finally being truly happy" Numbuh 3 whipped a tear out of her eye
