It was early in the morning, it was Valentine's day most operatives were sleeping but not Rachel, she was inside the Moonbase kitchen reading books and comparing mold shapes while a bowl of chocolate chips and another bowl with heavy cream rested in front of her "Alright… let's do it" Rachel proceeded to turn on the stove and melt together the chocolate chips with the heavy cream, while she waited for the mixture to get a nice consistency she heard the kitchen door opening It was Numbuh 3
The two girls looked at each other in silence, Numbuh 3 was carrying a bag, she sat at the kitchen table and placed the contents inside her bag, Rachel noticed they were chocolate making ingredients and utensils just like hers, Numbuh 3 stood in silence reading a book
Rachel decided to leave the girl alone and proceeded to pay attention to her own valentine's day treat, when the ganache was ready she poured it in a bowl, she then pulled out a 2x4 gun from below the table and set it to room température, she shot the ganache filling
Numbuh 3 heard the sound and took a second to see what Rachel was doing, she saw the supreme leader starting to spoon the chocolate molds with melted regular chocolate and spreading it inside to serve as the mold for her valentine's day chocolate, Numbuh 3 was in front of the microwave watching three bowls each with one flavor strawberry "candy melts", chocolate bars and white chocolate bars inside and stirring them every 30 seconds while peanut butter melted in three separate frying pans she placed on the stove
The door opened again, it was Numbuh 23 she was also carrying a bag, you could see chocolate bars poking out of it, the girls looked at each other and once again they decided to leave each other alone
Rachel was filling the molds with Ganache, she placed chocolate "candy melts" inside it after she was done filling it with the Ganache, she placed the molds inside a freezer and let it rest "Done and done" she whipped sweat out of her forehead and looked at the other girls smiling at them
Numbuh 3 was taking out three big zip bags from the plastic bag she brought, she filled each with one of the flavors she had in the microwave and cut the tip, she started filling the heart silicone molds she had with a smidge of each flavor, then she started spreading the flavors around the molds with a spoon, after making the molds she filled each mold with peanut butter and closed it with more of each flavor, she placed all molds in the freezer after that "That should be enough" she giggled looking at Rachel who was sitting in a chair smiling at Numbuh 3, Kuki picked a chair and sat next to her "I think everyone had the same idea" she chuckled looking at Rachel
"Yeah…" Rachel looked at Virginia who was melting her chocolate bars, she had a chocolate bar mold instead of a heart mold "Hey she is doing something interesting…"
Virginia took out a couple of strawberries and proceeded to cut them into heart shapes craftily when her chocolate was properly melted she poured it inside three chocolate bar molds, in the first one she placed the heart-shaped strawberries with crushed dried red fruits, for the second one she crushed some pretzels and placed them over the mold, for the third one she cut out some marshmallows with a scissor and made hearts and stars shapes, she placed them over the third chocolate mold and placed everything inside the freezer "Little bit simpler than what I was planning but I think Bartie will be happy with it" Virginia covered her mouth remembering she wasn't alone
"It's okay, we are all girls here, your secret is safe with us" Rachel gave Numbuh 23 a sympathetic smile
"Let's make it fair, the chocolates you two were making are for who?" Numbuh 23 crossed her arms looking at the two girls
"Well I did say we are all girls here… mine is for Numbuh 1 from Sector V" Rachel said blushing
"Mine is for Wally" Kuki smiled at Virginia
Numbuh 23 sighed "Alright I feel less embarrassed now…" she picked a chair and sat with the girls, a few minutes later the door opened again, It was Fanny and Sonya, the three girls waved at them smiling, the two girls waved back and started doing their stuff
Fanny melted some chocolate on the microwave then put on plastic gloves and covered them in butter, she then picked the melted chocolate and started to make them into small chocolate balls after making several of them she picked a little package full of heart sprinkles and rolled the little chocolate balls around the sprinkles until they were fully covered in hearts, she picked a pink bag with a white lace around it and placed the chocolate balls inside of it, she tied the bag and put it inside the fridge "Easier than I thought…" she said
Sonya was sitting in front of the table, the three girls that had already finished their treats were looking at the girl worried, she wasn't reading a book of recipes or was doing anything with the candies she had brought
"Should we help her?" Numbuh 23 whispered to Rachel
"I don't know…" Rachel whispered back to her
Fanny approached the girl after putting her valentine's day treats on the fridge "Sorry for the delay, so? what do we have here?"
"Well… Lee likes pretty much any chocolate, whatever we do I'm sure it will make him happy"
"Uh-huh, and is this Love Chocolate or Friendship Chocolate?" Fanny asked Sonya crossing her arms while looking at the ingredients the girl brought
"Can it be both?" Sonya gave Numbuh 86 an awkward smile
"No" Fanny said
"It's… Love" Sonya gazed at the floor looking defeated for having to confess she liked Lee in front of everyone
"Great, now we can work this out" Fanny put her hand on her own chin and started thinking for a second. She then looked at the ingredients Numbuh 23 left on the table and smiled "Which one of you used these strawberries?"
Numbuh 23 raised her hand "Me, why is that?"
"Is it okay if I use the rest of them?" Fanny asked
"Sure, My Chocolate is already done, what are you planning to do?" Virginia looked at Fanny with a curious look
"I think I will dip the strawberries in melted chocolate… maybe add some white chocolate heart drawings on top of them… who used this melted white chocolate?" Fanny pointed at Numbuh 3's stuff
"It was me" Kuki raised her hand "You can use it as much as you like" she smiled at Fanny
"Alright… Sonya it won't be your love chocolate if I do it with my own hands, follow my rules and I can assure you Lee will be happy" Numbuh 86 said sitting on a chair
"Alright!" Sonya smiled looking at Fanny "I mean… Yes Sir!" she saluted
"First of all, the chocolate you bought, pour all of it in a glass bowl and put it in the microwave, put it in there for 30 seconds when it stops you will shake them around the bowl and continue doing this until they are fully melted"
Sonya followed Fanny to every step, after a few minutes the chocolate was fully melted
"Alright, hold the strawberries by the green thingy and dip them into the chocolate" Fanny was drinking a can of soda while guiding Sonya through the steps
Sonya took care to not dirt her hand with the chocolate as she dipped each strawberry inside the bowl and put them in a glass tray "How does it look?"
"So far so good" Fanny picked a 2x4 weapon and set it to fridge temp "Stand back" Fanny pointed the weapon at the strawberries, in a matter of seconds the chocolate had hardened but not so much so it was still moist "Perfect, now…" Fanny grabbed Numbuh 3's melted white chocolate inside the zip bag and gave it to Sonya "Just draw some hearts or XOXO in the strawberries"
Sonya struggled a bit so her hearts weren't exactly perfect but the strawberries still looked beautiful and that was what mattered "I think it's done"
"Great, put it on the fridge and come drink a soda with the other girls" Fanny said while placing a chair next to Rachel
Numbuh 86 handed a bottle to Sonya who grabbed a chair and sat together with the other girls "The operatives who work in the kitchen must be on their way, shouldn't we leave?" the youngest operative asked
"I gave them a break" Rachel said while drinking a bottle of root beer "It's a common custom for the supreme leader to give the kitchen staff here at moonbase a break during Valentine's day and White day"
"White day?" Sonya looked at Rachel confused
"It's a thing the operatives from Asia used to do, it was so popular everyone does it now, if you gift a chocolate on valentine's day so the man has to gift you with chocolate as well a month from here" Numbuh 23 said while she opened a bottle of cola
"Lee giving me chocolate?" Sonya held both her cheeks blushing
The other girls laughed at her reaction "It's fine, most boys can't do candy like most of us, so they always buy store ones, they take a Scamper or a Coolbus to japan and buy something there, It's hilarious to see KND sky traffic during White day" Numbuh 86 said while drinking a can of soda
"Numbuh 2 knows how to make chocolate though" Numbuh 3 snickered "He always makes Numbuh 5 so embarrassed because the ones he makes are like really good ones, I watched him doing one sometimes, we have nothing on him" Kuki said also drinking a can of soda
"How good?" Sonya asked while drinking her bottle of soda
"Like premium expensive store good" Kuki said smiling at Sonya "Numbuh 5 just buys him a chocolate bar every year and says he shouldn't make this kind of stuff for her" Numbuh 3 giggles
Soon the doors opened again, this time it was female operatives they didn't quite know from other countries, they were carrying bags of ingredients. the five girls watched the different recipes the girls were doing while they drank their sodas from the other side of the kitchen
A few hours later the kitchen was starting to empty out, Rachel and the other girls except for Fanny who already had her valentine's day chocolate ready took their treats out of the fridge and proceeded to put them in packages of their preference
"Rachel's package was a brown medium-sized square package decorated with red laces on the corners, the brown package was engraved with golden and brown hearts all over it, she carefully put each chocolate on the box with utmost care after she was done she threw a kiss inside the box and closed it "That will do, I hope he likes it"
Kuki's box was a Rainbow monkey themed one it was a medium-sized box, it had different rainbow monkeys all over it, she threw her homemade chocolates inside it after it was all done, she followed suit and threw a kiss inside the box as she proceeded to close it, the box cover had the same design of the box but it had a rainbow lace on top of it "I can already hear he saying "stupid rainbow monkeys" so cute" she giggled
Numbuh 23 picked a rectangular black and purple box, it had little cats and hearts drawn all over it she then placed each bar inside of it, they fit perfectly, she threw a kiss inside the box and closed it as well "If he doesn't like it I'm killing him" she smiled confidently in her abilities
Sonya grabbed a pink bag with hearts all over it and threw the strawberries inside, just like her friends she threw a kiss inside the bag and closed it with a red lace "I hope Lee likes it…" she looked worried at the bag
Fanny grabbed Sonya's shoulder "It will be fine, don't go worrying about this stuff" she said
"I called Nigel Saying it's an important package that only I can deliver to him. What about Wally? Did you think up a plan to make him come up here?" Rachel asked Numbuh 3, the girls were walking around Moonbase talking to each other
"I just asked him if we could hang out around moonbase today" She said smiling at Rachel
"Sounds good, hey we are near Numbuh 35 station, you wanna peek at Virginia giving the chocolate to him?" Rachel asked
"I wanna see this" Kuki chuckled and followed Rachel to Numbuh 35's post
They arrived just in time to see Virginia handing the chocolate box to Bartie "Hey… I did some homemade chocolate for you…" Numbuh 23 looked at Numbuh 35 blushing at the boy
Bartie opened the cover "Woah…" Bartie blushed "Thanks Vi, They seem difficult to make, you wanna eat them now with me? I can't eat three bars all alone" he smiled at her still blushing
"I would love to…" she smiled at him, she unconsciously grabbed his hand and sat on his desk, they ate the chocolate bars together while doing small talk laughing and enjoying the moment
"They are so cute together" Kuki said
"Yes they are…" Rachel looked at the couple smiling "You wanna look into Sonya? I know where she hangs out with Lee here on the moonbase" Rachel asked Numbuh 3
"I don't know if I can take the cuteness those two will provide, but I'm willing to try" Kuki giggled as she was led by Rachel to a very isolated spot in the moonbase, it had a giant window that overlooked the earth, there they could see Lee and Sonya laying on a bean bag chair, Lee was playing with his yoyo happily while Sonya held her chocolates behind her back
"Ehhh… Lee?" Sonya looked the boy a bit nervous
"What 's up?" Lee smiled at her, his face was shining with the light coming from the window, Sonya could feel her heartthrob in that instant
"I… these are for you…" she handed him the bag and covered her face in embarrassment
Lee opened the bag and took out a chocolate-covered Strawberry from it. He analyzed the fruit for a few seconds before eating one in a single bite "Hmmmm… that's amazing, did you buy it?"
"Noo… the girls helped make it for you" Sonya blushed uncovering her face, that was when Lee saw she was red as a tomato
"Oh…" Lee blushed along with her "Well… you wanna eat it together or what?" he picked another strawberry and handed it to her
Sonya didn't know why she did it but instead of picking it out of his hands she ate it straight out of his hand, it took her a few seconds to realize what she had done "S-Sorry!" before she could run away Lee grabbed her by the back of her coat
"Calm down, it's cool, but I wanna eat it like that too, come on take one" He smiled at her blushing
"Okay…" Sonya grabbed one strawberry and showed it right in front of Lee who proceeded to eat it right out of her hand
"That's really good… I'm happy you did that" he smiled at her
Sonya giggled as they both kept eating their strawberries like that while watching earth from the moonbase, they were also laughing and talking about random stuff having a good time together
"So bold…" Kuki covered her eyes but letting spaces between her fingers to watch the two
"I think it's cute" Rachel said as both girls left the two alone "It's about time Sector V arrives, I hope Numbuh 4 likes it" she smiled at Kuki
"Nigel will love your chocolates don't be nervous" Kuki smiled back at her "See you later" she waved Rachel goodbye while heading to the main hangar to wait for Numbuh 4's arrival, a few minutes later Numbuh 4 came out of a Coolbus and greeted Numbuh 3 who was waiting in a bench near the hangar
"Hey, Numbuh 3 you said you had something important to tell me, what is it?"Numbuh 4 asked her a bit curious
"Here" she handed him the rainbow monkey themed chocolate box
Numbuh 4 groaned as he opened the box "Stupid Rainbow Monkeys, don't tell me it's another stupid one you thought it looked like me…" Numbuh 4 opened the box and pulled a chocolate out of it "Hmmm…" Numbuh 4 ate the chocolate and smiled after swallowing it "This is good, who made it?"
"It was me silly, it's valentine's day chocolate" she giggled as she grabbed his hand
Numbuh 4 blushed after remembering today was February 14th "Oh… They taste great Kooks, I can't eat this all alone though, Numbuh 2 lent me the Bus, you wanna come inside?" Numbuh 4 pointed
"It would be my pleasure" she giggled as Numbuh 4 led her inside the Coolbus they ate the chocolates while lying next to each other in one of the seats, they laughed about stupid things and talked enjoying each other's company when suddenly in the heat of the moment Kuki stole a kiss from Wally "Sorry… I got carried away"
"It's fine…" Numbuh 4 kissed her back
"I love you…" she smiled at him
"M-Me too!" he said as they both kissed again
In central command tons of operatives gave each other friendship chocolate and some even gave love chocolate for their love interests, Rachel saw Numbuh 10 walking around with a pushcart full of chocolate bars she waved at the news reporter while sitting on her chair in the middle of central command
Patton approached Rachel and gave her a white decorated bag with smiles around it "Here is some friendship chocolate Sir" Rachel noticed Patton was also carrying the bag of chocolates Fanny made
"Thanks, who gave this to you?" Rachel pointed at the pink bag full of chocolates
"I don't know…" Patton glanced at Fanny who was trying to hide the fact she was constantly looking at him "This bag appeared in my desk earlier all of a sudden, I have no idea who gave it to me" he glanced at Fanny again
"Invite her to eat it with you, she will like it" Rachel whispered to him
"Yeah… I will probably do it, but I wanna tease her a bit more before I do that" Patton whispered to her smiling as he left to talk to Fanny "Hey, did you see who left this in my desk?" Patton looked at the bag faking a weirded out look
"N-No! And even if I saw what good that would do? It's probably another one of your groupies from Arctic" Fanny looked at him in her usual angry tone but she was blushing a bit "Do you even like this stuff?" she asked him, Patton could feel a hint of nervousness in her tone
"They taste great if that's what you wanna know" he smiled at her "You wanna eat it with me?" he blushed a bit while holding the bag in front of her
"The girl who gave it to you won't feel bad about it?" Fanny smiled at him
"Ehhh… I think she will understand" Patton led Fanny out of central command room as they both laughed together eating the chocolates Fanny made
Rachel watched the two love birds cheering for their success "Now it's my time to shine…" Rachel sat in her chair waiting for Numbuh 1 for several more minutes, she was starting to get a bit melancholic thinking maybe Numbuh 1 wasn't showing up, that all changed when she saw the Sector V leader entering the Central command Room and approaching her, the relief was clear on her face
"Numbuh 362 Sir, I've come to receive a package of utmost importance from you Sir" Nigel saluted
Rachel laughed "Rest easy soldier, here" Rachel handed him the package with her valentine's day chocolates
Numbuh 1 opened the package and his eyes widened upon seeing what this was all about "Oh… Rachel these look beautiful, Thanks" he smiled at her
"They are supposed to taste beautiful as well" Rachel got up from her chair and grabbed his hand "Let's eat those in a more private spot" she said while leading him outside of the central command room and into her office
Numbuh 1 grabbed a chair nearby for himself and placed it beside Rachel's office chair, he proceeded to grab one of her homemade chocolates and eat it "Hmmm… taste great, are these homemade?"
"Yeah, how did you know?" Rachel smiled at him
"Just a wild guess" he smiled at her "Are they friendship or…"
"You will have to figure it out as you eat them" she grinned at him while grabbing one of her chocolates and eating it
Nigel grabbed another chocolate, he tasted it slowly this time "Yeah… It's love"
"That's your final guess?" Rachel blushed while smiling at him
"I guess so, was I correct?" He blushed while swallowing the chocolate
"Congratulations" Rachel approached Nigel even more and kissed him on the lips "Hmmm… they taste like my chocolate" she chuckled
"I…" Nigel was speechless
"We can talk about this later, for now let's just keep eati-" before she could finish Nigel kissed her as well, she then held him close as they both took turns kissing each other and takings small breaks from time to time to eat the chocolate
