Rachel woke up that morning radiant, she left her room and went straight to the kitchen to eat breakfast with her family "Good morning" she kissed her parents on the cheek before sitting for breakfast
"Someone is happy" her mother said while pouring orange juice and pancakes for her humming
"I… have lots of plans for today… it's just that" she smiled a bit nervous
"I'm sure you have, my sweet supreme leader" her mother kissed her cheek and left to wake up her brother
Her father was reading the news while that "Just don't tire yourself too much" her father patted her in the head before leaving for work "And be careful with that boy, the sunglasses at night still bug me" he said while closing the door
After finishing her breakfast Rachel entered her personal Roadstar and went to Sector V's treehouse, upon sitting on her chair a few operatives started handing her documents regarding repair efforts all over the world, after managing to resolve most of the problems, Nigel approached her
"Numbuh 362 Sir" Numbuh 1 saluted her "You requested my presence?"
"Yes, I would like you to try finding a photo of your dad as a kid, it would make for a nice statue in the new moonbase" Rachel said while reading a file "Also could you come closer to see this?" she smiled at him while pointing at a paper in her hands
"Of course" Nigel approached her and looked at what she was pointing at, he then noticed it was a blank sheet of paper "Sir?"
Rachel then kissed him on the cheek "Sorry, couldn't help myself"
A few operatives looked at the scene and couldn't believe her eyes, whispering was soon followed by money and candies being handed out for bets
Fanny entered the room soon after and was visibly annoyed at all the whispering, she then grabbed Numbuh 35 who was nearby and questioned him "What is all this whispering for? did something happen that I don't know?"
"Numbuh 362 was just spotted giving Numbuh 1 a kiss on the cheek, the rumors are spreading like wildfire now" Numbuh 35 said
Numbuh 86 immediately perked up "Today is a good day" she smiled looking at the window, she then saw Numbuh 1 passing by her leaving the main hall, he was smiling as if he could work for a hundred hours without rest, Fanny rushed to Rachel who was reading some files now, she was also radiant which was weird for someone reading documents "Sir? Did something good happen?" Fanny grinned at her friend
"Better than good… amazing… phenomenal" Rachel started letting her dumb smile escape all of a sudden while hugging a folder and zoning out looking in the distance
"Wow…" Fanny couldn't help but laugh a bit at her friend "That good? Can you tell me everything or are you too busy?"
"There is always time for some gossip between friends" she said leaving her chair and going outside to the catwalk with Fanny
"I was a bit depressed yesterday with everything going on… I told Numbuh 5 about it and she told Nigel when he returned from his fishing" Rachel said while drinking soda with Fanny both leaning over the catwalk
"You should have told me…" Fanny looked down seeing Nigel's house below her feet
"Sorry about that" Rachel patter her on the back "After learning I was feeling depressed he rushed to my home with his Roadstar"
"So romantic… What happened then?" she said gushing at her friend
"I was lucky to get thirsty and leave my room, he was talking to my Mom at the front door when I saw him, I rushed to the front door grabbed his hand and brought him to a park near home I was so ready to punch him" she laughed
"What made you not punch him?" Fanny asked
"When he said he heard I was depressed" she smiled looking over the horizon "Then i kind of got everything off my chest… how I was angry that he did a better job than I to stop grandfather and stuff and how people were talking about it behind my back… and then I confessed… he must have had to change his clothes later with how much I cried on his shoulder while doing it" she blushed and chuckled a little
Fanny didn't say a word she just listened amused to her friend, she was smiling with satisfaction
"Aaaan then Mom and Dad saw us kissing when he brought me back home" Rachel then lowered her head in shame
Fanny laughed "How was it? Did they like him?
"Mom loved him, Dad was a bit sad but he just said he was worried for him wearing sunglasses at night… which I kind of agree" she laughed
"Lucky you… Daddy would try killing Patton if he ever knew…" Fanny laughed with her
"He also saw me in my Doctor time space and the continuums…" she blushed
"Are you serious?" Fanny smiled at her incredulous "I told you those were horrible, If he accepted you while you were wearing that its true love, don't even worry about it" Fanny laughed at her friend
"They are comfy!" she said losing her breath from laughing so much
After finishing their gossip time Fanny reported about the disassembly of the moonbase, she left the treehouse soon after to resume her duty of overseeing the disassembly
Rachel had another long day, after leaving a reunion with folk responsible for rebuilding moonbase and approving a ton of requisitions she was finally free for the day, Nigel was also in the reunion and left the room right next to her "Thank god this is over" she said while stretching her arms
"Are you going home for today?" Numbuh 1 asked her
"I guess so…" she then perked up as if she thought of something "You wanna come home for dinner?"
"What? Like today? Shouldn't I prepare myself or something?" Numbuh 1 said a little nervous
"My parents are more on the embarrassing side of things than the strict one" Rachel laughed
"Alright, I believe in you" he smiled at her "Race or I drive you?"
"Race!" she said while running with him to the main hangar
The other operatives looked at the couple still amazed the two were dating, Numbuh 5 was smiling at the two, Numbuh two was snickering at them but happy for his friend and Numbuhs 3 and 4 didn't care too much since they were too focused on each other but they were glad they would not be the center of attention now
Rachel won their race to her home, her Roadstar was faster after all, Numbuh 1 tried to fix his shirt a bit before going in but Rachel just opened the door, grabbed his hand and took him inside "Mom, I brought Nigel today for Dinner alright?"
Her mother rushed to the front door clearly very excited to talk to her daughter's boyfriend " It's so nice to see you again young man" Rachel's mother pinched his cheek
Numbuh 1 blushed "It's a pleasure to meet you ma'am" Nigel shaked her hand
"So polite!" was delighted by Nigel and hugged him tight
"MOM!" Rachel pulled Numbuh 1 out of her mom's crushing hug as Numbuh 1 let out a huge breath after feeling his lungs were just crushed
"Sorry Rachie, you know I can't help myself sometimes" her Mother chuckled as she patted her daughter's head "Why don't you two wait? Your father hasn't arrived from his job either I'm sure he will want to meet this fine young man as well, go watch some cartoon on your room while that" she said while heading to the kitchen
"Sorry about her" Rachel said while taking Nigel to her room
"It's okay, all moms are like that" Numbuh 1 said as he entered her room and looked around, it had a few posters from doctor time space and the continuums, the walls were light blue, she had a television on the wall right next to her bed which had two rainbow monkeys on top of it, one was red and the other was aqua-colored, she also had a desk with a 2x4 computer nearby
"D-don't look too much at it" Rachel said while turning on her tv
"It's a nice room" Numbuh 1 said while picking the aqua rainbow monkey "Didn't know you liked them?"
Rachel turned around to see what Numbuh 1 was talking about, she then saw him holding her rainbow monkey, she jumped across her bed and took it out of his hands "E-Every girl likes them a bit alright?!" she looked at him blushing
Numbuh 1 laughed "it's okay calm down, there is nothing embarrassing about it" he said while sitting on her bed
"Thanks, sorry for the outburst" she said while sitting on the bed with him
"It's totally fine" he said, he then felt something he was sitting on "Hm?"
"What is it?" Rachel looked at him confused
"Something I'm sitting on…" Numbuh 1 felt what was on top of him with his hand, it was some kind of cloth, he proceeded to unfold it while taking it out, in front of Rachel there it was a pair of white panties white orange stars around it
Rachel just moved her hand on instinct alone and slapped him on the face hard, she then blushed while looking at Numbuh 1 holding his face with both hands in pain still with her panties on one of his hands Oh God! Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!" she said while looking closely at his face "It's my fault, I left it there this morning and forgot"
"I-It's okay, Here take them" he handed her panties to Rachel while rubbing his face with his other hand
"
"T-Thanks, let me see if it left a mark" she said while putting her pair of panties in a drawer nearby "Oh, thank god it's just slightly red" she sighed in relief "Sorry, It was by instinct, I know it wasn't on purpose"
"It's fine… I was kinda happy to look at them to be honest " Numbuh 1 blushed
Rachel blushed a deep shade of red and tried to avert her gaze "D-Don't be a weirdo" she laughed it off and gave him a light punch on his shoulder a bit shaken up by his sincerity, she then laid on the bed and started watching television to try to forget about what just happened, Nigel did the same, they watched television on her room together until dinner time
"You two up there, it's time for dinner come to the dining room" her mother yelled from the stairs
Numbuh 1 sat right next to Rachel, her father was in one end of the table while her mother was on the other end, her brother was sitting across them from the table "It's a pleasure to meet you Sir"
"Thanks boy, I feel the same, sooo… what is with the sunglasses at night?" Her father just scratched his chin looking at Nigel kinda curious
"Dad!" Rachel said a bit embarrassed
"No it's okay, they are prescription Sir" Numbuh 1 then took off his glasses and started squinting at him
"Oh, I thought they were for looking cool, my deepest apologies" her father said a bit embarrassed
"Well they are also for that, so it's fine" Numbuh 1 chuckled
as he put his sunglasses back on, they proceeded to eat dinner had prepared
A few minutes into the dinner Numbuh 363 looked at Numbuh 1 a bit annoyed, Nigel tried to just ignore the boy, the boy also knew better not to anger her sister since she was looking at him with a scary look he had never seen before after noticing his gaze at Numbuh 1
"Nigel are you on the Kids Next Door with our Rachie?"
her mother commented
"Y-Yeah! She is a great Leader" he looked a bit nervous
"We were so proud when she turned supreme Leader, a shame we couldn't attend the inauguration since we are adults, but the photos were amazing" Her father said
"I didn't actually tell you guys… they heard by him" she looked at Harvey a bit angry
Harvey didn't respond and just averted his gaze and threw a pea on Rachel for which Rachel ignored and proceeded with the dinner, Numbuh 1 noticed then that the girl was eating the spinach without a problem
"Spinach?" Numbuh 1 said a bit grossed oui
"I know…" Harvey said also grossed out
"I try to keep it a secret to not set a bad example but yeah… I like spinach" she said ashamed
"I-It's okay" Numbuh 1 said a bit surprised
After Dinner was done Rachel's dad was responsible today for cleaning the dishes and invited Nigel to help him "Thanks for the help little buddy"
"N-No problem Sir" Numbuh 1 was very nervous to be alone with her father now
"Are you feeling alright? You are a little pale young one" He said while putting his hand on his forehead "Your body temperature is normal, is everything alright"
"I'm okay, thanks Sir, just a bit nervous" Numbuh 1 said
Rachel's Father laughed at him "No need to be, I can recognize a bad person when I see one and you aren't one, plus my little Rachie is a smart girl I trust her judgement" he said while patting Numbuh 1 on the back still laughing "Are you staying the night?"
"I… have to call my parents but yeah I'm pretty sure I will" Numbuh 1 said
"No funny business you hear me?" Her father said laughing patting him on the back after being done with the dishes
"W-Wouldn't dream of it Sir" Numbuh 1 said blushing quite a bit
"Why is that? She is not good enough for you?" Her father asked him in a serious tone
"N-NO! Sir I Mean…I….." Numbuh 1 started tripping on his words and stuttering
Her father burst out laughing and patted him on the back "I'm Joking calm down you are red as a tomato, she would be mad with me if you passed out because of me" he said while wiping a tear off his eye "Just be responsible" he said while leaving the kitchen still laughing a bit
Numbuh 1 was a bit weirded out by her father but was glad he didn't get in trouble, after calling home and saying he would stay the night Nigel returned to Rachel's room, the supreme leader was in her pajamas typing something on her computer, Numbuh 1 just laid on the bed and watched television
Rachel was finished sending some last-minute orders, she then approached her boyfriend on the bed and kissed him "Was everything alright with Dad?"
"He tried to embarrass me more than scare to be honest with you, said no funny business while sleeping with you" he blushed and laughed
Rachel blushed and groaned "He is like that, sorry about him"
"It's okay, better than he disliking" Numbuh 1 said smiling as he kissed her back
"Yeah you're right" she chuckled as she kissed him again, she stood there kissing him for a few seconds, in the middle of it she opened her eyes and saw her door was not fully closed, her mother was peeking at them through it, Rachel's eyes widened in embarrassment she stopped kissing Numbuh 1 and threw one of her rainbow monkeys at the door "MOM!"
"Sorry sweetie, I will leave you two alone" her mother giggled and closed the door
Rachel sighed "I can't believe her" she crossed her arms blowing on her bangs
"You want to sleep already?" Numbuh 1 asked her a bit worried
"Hmmm… maybe a few more minutes" she chuckled and kissed him again as they both chuckled at each other while hugging on the bed
