It was early in the morning, the moonbase gym was empty except for two operatives, Numbuh 4 who was doing bench presses and Numbuh 86 who was running the, the two operatives didn't like each other that much so they kept to themselves
Numbuh 4 sat up after some time and grabbed a towel, he whipped sweat off his face then looked at Numbuh 86 who kept running the treadmill "The treadmill is soaked with sweat, you are going to slip" Numbuh 4 said while pointing
Numbuh 86 blushed then snorted laughing at him "As if something ridiculous like that would even happen to-" Before she could continue her phrase Numbuh 86 slipped on the treadmill and was launched back only to be caught by Numbuh 4 before she fell on the floor
"Would it kill you to listen to a boy one time in your life?" Numbuh 4 said a bit annoyed
Numbuh 86 pushed him away and grabbed a towel, she proceeded to whip the treadmill clean "As if you hear what girls say" she said looking at him angry
"Serves me right for trying to help you" Numbuh 4 stuck his tongue out at her then proceeded to leave to the dressing room, a few minutes later he was leaving the Gym when Numbuh 86 stopped him grabbing him by the shoulder
"Wait" Numbuh 86 sighed "Thanks… You wanna grab something to eat? I pay" she said
Numbuh 4 looked at Numbuh 86 terrified "What are you planning?" He asked while backing away
Numbuh 86 groaned in annoyance "Nothing, You helped me so I'm paying you back, that's all" she said
"Alright… " Numbuh 4 still looked at her a bit wary "I'm having grilled ham and cheese then" he said while walking with her to the cafeteria
They both sat at a table in the corner of the cafeteria with their lunch in hand, Numbuh 86 grabbed a grilled chicken sandwich and proceeded to eat with Numbuh 4 "So, why are you exercising in Moonbase?"
Numbuh 4 groaned while eating his grilled ham and cheese "Numbuh 3 decided to pester me today as soon as I woke up for my morning training to go to that stupid new rainbow monkey theme park" Numbuh 4 said
"Careful with what you say about Rainbow Monkeys near me, you are the only boy that knows after all" she chuckled "You haven't…" she looked at him with an inquisitive look
"No, I haven't told the others" he said "I couldn't care less about that nightmare you call bedroom and it is not worth the headache it would give me with you just for laughing" He said while putting ketchup on his sandwich
"Great" She sighed in relief "About Numbuh 3 though, you like her, why don't you go?" Numbuh 86 asked
Numbuh 4 choked on his food and coughed a bit, he drank some water then looked at Numbuh 86 "What makes you think I like her?" He asked in a low tone
"You are kidding, right? Everyone except her knows" Numbuh 86 said as she started drinking a bottle of soda
"How can you be so comfortable saying stuff like this? You like me as well don't you?" He said
Numbuh 86 almost spat her drink "Where did you get this idea?" she covered her mouth a bit shocked
"You called me cute when I was about to get decommissioned, don't you remember?" Numbuh 4 said
"Yeah, I think Rainbow Monkeys are cute as well, I don't wanna date them because of that, besides, I like another boy now" Numbuh 86 laughed
"Somehow this offends me even more, don't ever compare me to a Rainbow monkey again" Numbuh 4 said "Anyway, What could I accomplish in a stupid rainbow monkey theme park? She would keep looking at them the whole time" he said
A few meters from there two figures behind a trash can using binoculars were watching the two agents who were chatting between laughs "I know he got mad at me for interrupting his training but… the park is so nice…" Numbuh 3 said feeling a bit sad
"Why don't you invite him to a normal theme park?" Patton was watching Numbuh 86 with his binoculars "I feel stupid, it makes us look like we are jealous"
"Aren't we?" Numbuh 3 looked at him confused
"Forget it…" Numbuh 60 sighed
"So, who is the "Lucky"guy?" Numbuh 4 laughed
"Why should I tell you?" Numbuh 86 looked at him in her usual sternway
"I can start calling you by your name whenever I see you in moonbase from now on" Numbuh 4 grinned
Numbuh 86 sighed "It's Numbuh 60" she whispered
"The two most obnoxious uptight and loud people I know?" Numbuh 4 laughed
"Shut up…" Numbuh 86 blushed annoyed at him "He only yells when talking to cadets" she crossed her arms
"Any ideas?" Numbuh 60 looked at Kuki
"Yeah…" Numbuh 3 giggled "Follow me" Numbuh 3 grabbed some food and led Patton to a table
"What is the big idea?" Numbuh 60 asked
"So? Why don't you confess, you two are kindred souls" Numbuh 3 asked while laughing
Patton sighed "I'd rather not receive an "Ewww" from her" He then crossed his arms "What about you? It is clear to me you two like each other"
"He would reject me on sight" Numbuh 3 said a bit sad
Patton chuckled "You are pretty dense for a girl" he laughed
"Now that's an odd pairing" Numbuh 86 frowned while looking at Numbuh 3 and Numbuh 60 chatting
"Huh?" Numbuh 4 had finished his sandwich then turned around only to see Numbuh 3 giggling and blushing while talking with Patton who was laughing "You have got to be kidding me…" Numbuh 4 cracked his knuckles ready to jump at Patton when Numbuh 86 grabbed his hand
"Don't worry, don't be a jealous fool" Fanny said while finishing her sandwich then getting up "Let's join up" She and Numbuh 4 walked up to the two agents "Wait don't tell me, a military rainbow monkey is coming out?" Numbuh 86 asked
"You know it isn't silly…" Numbuh 3 giggled "I asked Numbuh 60 to grab an extra sandwich for me since he was way ahead of me in the line" Numbuh 3 lied as easily as she breathed
"What does she mean you know?" Numbuh 60 looked at Fanny a bit confused
"Nothing!" Numbuh 86 blushed then sat right next to Patton while looking at Numbuh 3 with threatening eyes
"It's pretty weird to see you guys talking to each other as well, what happened?" Numbuh 60 asked
"She was about to slip in moonbase gym and I helped her" Numbuh 4 said "She paid me with a sandwich" He sat right next to Numbuh 3
"Sorry…" Numbuh 3 said blushing at him smiling
"Nah… It's okay, I overreacted" Numbuh 4 scratched the back of his head a bit embarrassed "We can go in the stupid park… If you want to…" he blushed
"I… Is it okay if we go to a normal amusement park?" She asked
Numbuh 4 sighed in relief "Thank you…" They got up "See you two later" He said before leaving the cafeteria with Numbuh 3
"Do you think they will confess to each other this time?" Numbuh 86 asked
"Your guess is as good as mine" Numbuh 60 said
An awkward silence loomed over them for a couple of minutes while Numbuh 60 ate until Numbuh 86 coughed trying to break the silence "Do you have any plans for today?" She asked feeling a bit uncomfortable
"My schedule is free… You?" Numbuh 60 asked while finishing his sandwich
"Yeah, I'm free… Listen… there is this observation deck that no one goes near here… Would you like to…" Numbuh 86 twirled her hair blushing and smiling a bit
"I would love to!" Patton raised his voice, a few operatives looked at him then snickered among themselves, he blushed
Numbuh 86 laughed still blushing, they both left the cafeteria and went to the observation deck the head of decommissioning mentioned "How are things in arctic?" Numbuh 86 rested her back on the observation deck smiling at Patton
"Eh, same old, a few guys flunked the final exam a few days ago, makes me a bit sad" Patton said blushing at her before he leaned on the observation deck looking at the stars
"Were they good?" Numbuh 86 asked him
"Nah, terrible" He laughed "Still makes me sad, What about you?"
"I don't like talking about decommissioning" Numbuh 86 sighed "It is a pretty depressing place" She said
"Hey Numbuh 86… Do you like…" Numbuh 60 started talking
"YES!" Numbuh 86 looked at him smiling ecstatic
"Seriously? You of all people?" Numbuh 60 chuckled
"I mean… is it a problem?" Numbuh 86 asked him blushing
"Of course not, I just don't see you liking Rainbow Monkeys" Numbuh 60 laughed
"I love t- Wait what?" Numbuh 86 looked at him in shock
"Yeah I mean, I was wondering what Numbuh 3 had said earlier then I decided to ask you" Numbuh 60 said
"Idiot" Numbuh 86 pushed then sighed "Yeah, I like them" she crossed her arms in frustration
"That's cool" Numbuh 60 laughed in a friendly tone "I promise to not tell anyone"
"You better not!" She grabbed him by his shirt and gave him a threatening look "You like them?" she rolled her eyes a bit embarrassed
"I watch the movies, they are pretty fun if you don't expect action or anything, but I'm not into the plushies" Numbuh 60 said "I'm more into soldier toys and water guns" he said smiling
Numbuh 86 laughed "Sounds like the type of stuff you would have in your room"
"By the way I know it is a touchy subject, is it true your father is an Adult Villain?" Numbuh 60 looked at her a bit curious
"All true, he is an enemy of Sector V" Numbuh 86 sighed "He is a nice father though" she chuckled
"Must be harsh…" Numbuh 60 said
Numbuh 86 laughed "Nah, the only thing he would be mad about was if I…" Numbuh 86 stopped upon realizing what she was about to say
"If you what?" Numbuh 60 raised an eyebrow a bit confused and curious now
"If I… got a boyfriend…" Numbuh 86 trying avoiding looking at Numbuh 60 while saying it
Numbuh 60 paused for a second, a million thoughts running through his head "That's a shame…" he sighed
Numbuh 86 lowered her head as tears started swelling up from her eyes
"I mean… I love you and stuff… Didn't really want to fight my in-law" he sighed scratching the back of his head while blushing
Numbuh 86 raised her head then looked at him "Jerk…" she mumbled to herself then hugged him "How long?"
Numbuh 60 was hugging her as well now while she buried her head on his shirt "Saw you crying in here about a year ago after you decommissioned someone… changed my view of you" he blushed while stroking her hair
"Can't really remember which one it was…" she sniffled
"What about you?" Numbuh 60 asked
"You will laugh…" she chuckled
"I will try not to…" He said
"I… thought it was pretty cool when you defeated Rachel as a zombie" she laughed
"No way… she gave me a beating a few days later just to prove she was stronger than me in normal conditions" He laughed "It was lame as hell" He said
Numbuh 86 laughed then looked at him smiling "Hey… are we… dating now?" Fanny asked
"I guess… Why you ask?" Numbuh 60 asked a bit embarrassed by the whole situation but happy
"Well… This is pretty much a date so… is it alright if we kiss?" Numbuh 86 asked blushing a bright tone of red
"You don't need to ask permission for that you know?" he laughed then pulled her into a kiss, they stood there kissing next to the observation deck window for a couple of seconds between chuckles "How was it?" he asked her smiling
"Don't know…" she grinned at him biting her lip "Need to test it again" She pulled him into another kiss "I will get addicted to this…" she giggled
"Are you giggling?" Numbuh 60 chuckled
"Don't get used to it!" she smiled while punching him on the shoulder "You wanna stay a bit more?" she asked him
Numbuh 60 grabbed his communicator and turned it off "I don't need to return to arctic base today…" He smiled at her then kissed the girl again
"Great…" Numbuh 86 grabbed her communicator and did the same "Because, I just heard no one is calling me for emergency decommissioning someone today" She laughed
Numbuh 3 and Numbuh 4 had just arrived at the amusement park "Where do you wanna go first?" Numbuh 3 smiled while looking at Numbuh 4
"Rollercoaster would be nice…" Numbuh 4 rolled his eyes, he then felt Numbuh 3 grabbing his hand and looked at her blushing in surprise
Numbuh 3 was blushing as well "It would be bad if we got lost" she had her usual smile but her cheeks were certainly red while she looked at Numbuh 4
"Y-Yeah…" Numbuh 4 tried to avoid her gaze and walked with her around the amusement park until they arrived at the roller coaster. They were waiting in line, it wasn't a busy day to their luck "Sorry about the rainbow monkey amusement park…"
"There is always next time" Numbuh 3 smiled at him
Numbuh 4 sighed "I will go with you next time, I will even try to not call them stupid" He said feeling internal pain
"Will you hug the giant Rainbow monkey they have over there as well?" she asked him smiling
"Don't push it" He said crossing his arms while Numbuh 3 giggled at him, after two or three minutes they were allowed on the roller coaster, Numbuh 4 would use 2x4 technology to bypass height requirements on rides
"These 2x4 stilts Numbuh 2 built for you are really useful" Numbuh 3 looked at Numbuh 4 who had the same height as her while they walked towards the roller coaster car
"Yeah but they are a pain in the ass to walk with…" Numbuh 4 said as he slowly got small again and entered the roller coaster "By the way did you know Numbuh 1 is afraid of these?" Numbuh 4 asked Kuki laughing
"If I know? I saw him vomiting once!" she laughed with Numbuh 4 as the Roller coasters started "Are you afraid of them though?" She grinned at him approaching his face
"Funny I was about to ask you the same thing" they grinned at each other as the roller coaster started ascending to its summit"
They noticed how close their faces were to each other and backed away "S-Sorry…" Numbuh 3 tried laughing it off
"N-No problem" Numbuh 4 tried not making eye contact
"Hey Numbuh…"Both said before being interrupted by the roller coaster descending from the summit at high speed, Numbuh 3 raised her arms and started laughing as her hair flew like mad
Numbuh 4 also had his arms raised as he screamed but with a smile on his face "Faster!" he yelled while laughing
After the ride both operatives left with smiles on their faces, Numbuh 3 hair was a mess as well as Numbuh 4's, they sat on a bench "Here let me help you" Numbuh 3 grabbed a comb from her pocket and started fixing Numbuh 4's hair
"Why do you have a comb in your pocket?" Numbuh 4 asked a bit weirded out and embarrassed as Numbuh 3 fixed his hair
"Why wouldn't I?" she asked him giggling "There we go" Numbuh 3 said then started fixing her hair
Numbuh 4 placed his hand on his hair and smiled "Thank god, I thought you would do something crazy with it" he sighed in relief
"I would never do something like that" Numbuh 3 giggled, after fixing her hair then went for the teacups, they both sat in one of the teacups, Numbuh 4 felt a bit ridiculous while Numbuh 3 smiled at him "These are a bit more chill than the previous one but…" Numbuh 3 grabbed the wheel in the center of the ride and spun it with all her might
Numbuh 4 laughed as the teacup spun in highspeed "Let's see…" he grinned at her then started spinning the teacup like mad
Both of them laughed like mad then were asked to leave by the ride operator who didn't look even a bit happy with what they were doing, they were very dizzy as they left the ride, suddenly Numbuh 3 lost her balance and fell on top of Numbuh 4, they both shook their heads and looked at each other "I… I…" Numbuh 3 quickly got up she was blushing bright red "Sorry…" she smiled to herself a bit embarrassed
"No... It's okay" Numbuh 4 was taking the dirt off his clothes very flustered, he then turned to Numbuh 3
The rest of their day at the amusement park went without further problems, they went on a number of rides after that and ate tons of corn dogs, they ended their day at the park at the Ferris Wheel "Today was great…" Numbuh 3 giggled while their cabin reached the top of the Ferris wheel, she leaned over it looking at the sunset
"Yeah… it started a bit bad though… Sorry again for overreacting earlier" He said blushing, he wal leaning on the cabin right next to her
"I'm the one who keeps asking you to go in Rainbow monkey stuff with me even though I know you hate them… Sorry" She said
They stood silent for a few seconds, a million thoughts running through their heads as blood slowly started going up and their faces got redder "Hey…" They both said at the same time, Numbuh 4 looked at her surprised "You first…"
"Numbuh 4 are you… seeing someone… You know like… dating and.. stuff" she looked away from him smiling very flustered
"No… Are you?" Numbuh 4 asked very embarrassed at the situation
"No…" she giggled
What followed was a painful silence that didn't last for long, both agents opened their mouths "I love you" They said at the same time then turned their heads to each other "You do?" they said a bit surprised
Numbuh 3 took the first step and pulled him into a kiss "Sorry for not saying it sooner…" she smiled at him
"I'm the one who should be saying sorry" he said then kissed her back, the newly formed couple left the Ferris wheel a few minutes later holding hands "Was this a date?" Numbuh 4 asked her as they left the amusement park holding hands
"I mean… Yeah" she giggled "At least the Ferris wheel was" she said "Are you really going with me to The Rainbow Monkey amusement park?"
"Don't ruin the moment Numbuh 3…" Numbuh 4 groaned
Numbuh 3 approached him and kissed him right on the lips, they stayed like that for a few more seconds "Better?" she chuckled
Numbuh 4 smiled "Yeah… Thanks" he said then returned the kiss, they returned to the Treehouse holding hands the whole team looked at them incredulous
"Are you two…" Numbuh 2 looked at them shocked
"Who confessed first?" Numbuh 5 asked smiling at them
Numbuh 4 and Numbuh 3 pointed at each other
"She" Numbuh 4 said
"He" Numbuh 3 said
"It was about time" Numbuh 1 smiled at them "You missed all missions today though, you are cleaning the hangar for a week, congratulations" He said as he walked out of the room
