Numbuh 1 was sitting at a table, Numbuh 2, Numbuh 3 and Numbuh 4 were crying while looking at him, Numbuh 86 was looking at him a bit sad waiting in front of the decommissioning chamber "Come on you guys, stop crying for a bit" Numbuh 1 said
"B-But… Who will tell me to not read comics now?" Numbuh 4 asked then started bawling
"I can do it for you don't worry" Numbuh 3 said while patting Numbuh 4 on the back
Numbuh 1 looked around "Hey, Patton isn't around?"
"Said he couldn't go, something about a meeting with high command about defending some of our positions" Numbuh 86 sighed then looked at a clock "Go ahead, do your speech"
"My fellow kids next door, it has been an honor fighting adult tyranny by your side, I may not have been the easiest agent to deal with sometimes because of my methods but… I want to thank all of you for the best years of my life, that includes Numbuh 5 who turned into a teen a few months ago and introduced me to kids next door, I will miss you guys in a way even though I won't remember a thing, I guess at least I will be able to get together with Rachel if I'm lucky…" Numbuh 1 smiled to himself then nodded his head to Numbuh 86, the boy walked to the decommissioning chamber then a red light sparked as Numbuh 1 screamed from inside the members of his team lowered their heads crying trying to avoid the bright light, from out of the chamber a confused Nigel looked around "Hey… Does anyone know where my cellphone is?"
Sector V looked amongst themselves trying to decide who was going to take Nigel back home until Patton showed "If you don't mind… I think it would be too painful for you guys" Numbuh 60 smiled at Nigel's former teammates
"Weren't you in a meeting?" Numbuh 86 crossed her arms looking at him with suspicion
"Oh, it was just some minor talk about equipment" Patton said while leading Nigel out of the room patting the confused boy on the head, he walked the corridors of Moonbase heading for the hangar while Numbuh 1 looked around still confused
"Weird… this place looks so familiar" Numbuh 1 said
"Oh yeah, you had one of your birthdays here when you were just a kid dude" Numbuh 60 laughed nervously then stopped near his ship "Just let me check the engine on this thing…" Patton groaned then opened a panel in the ship
"No… This is… Moonbase…?" Numbuh 1 placed his hand on his head feeling a strong headache
Numbuh 60 sighed "She said it was supposed to be five minutes before the effect wore off" Patton rolled his eyes then grabbed a Splanker from inside his ship
"Wait… I know you… Patton, what is happening?" Numbuh 1 looked around but his trail of thought was cut off as he heard a loud sound followed by a sharp pain, Numbuh 60 grabbed an unconscious Numbuh 1 and put him inside the ship
"Heeey Patton, why don't you become Supreme Leader? It will be nice. I promise I will help you." Numbuh 86 chuckled "Last time I'm taking advice from Fanny" Numbuh 60 shook his head
"And what exactly is that supposed to mean?!" Numbuh 86 was behind Patton frowning at the boy with her arms crossed
"Secret kids next door stuff, not meant for you" Patton said a bit annoyed as he tied Numbuh 1
"Not even for your girlfriend?" Numbuh 86 grinned at him still angry tapping her feet
"Not even for my girlfriend" Patton sighed "Look, this is just standard stuff for secret ops, I just happened to be the one chosen for it today" Patton suddenly heard the sound of footsteps approaching the Hangar "Are you kidding me? The engine won't work" Patton said as he turned the key and looked at one of the entrances to the hangar
"Well… I can help you with it… but only if you tell me" Numbuh 86 grinned
"Alright, Look, I changed the configs in the decommissioning chamber for temporary only, we have a teen spy cell in the ninjas and Numbuh 1 has been chosen as one of them, there, happy?" Patton said
"Good enough, let's talk about it once you return" Numbuh 86 kissed Patton then slapped him on the face "Don't hide this kind of stuff from me again" She smiled at him then headed for one of the entrances and started yelling at a few operatives
Patton sighed while rubbing his cheek "She is amazing…" Finally the Supreme Leader managed to turn on his ship and leave Moonbase. he then headed to earth where he stopped at a local chain fast food's drive-thru
"What is your order?" Asked a voice coming from an intercom
"Yeah, I would like all your stock of kids' meal" Patton smiled as an elevator took his ship to the underground of the store, after the elevator stopped Patton got out of the ship
"Hey, Boss" Numbuh 5 was waiting for Patton near the entrance to a huge lit-up building, laughing and yelling could be heard from the inside
"Don't call me that, it feels weird, is she in there?" Patton asked
"She is on a mission, should be back soon enough, let me see him" Numbuh 5 said
Patton opened the back of the ship revealing Numbuh 1 tied up angrily trying to free himself
"Heeeey, Numbuh 1, how is it going?" Numbuh 5 chuckled while looking at her former sector leader
"Numbuh 5? What is going on?!" Numbuh 1 looked around and noticed he wasn't at Moonbase anymore "Where am I?"
Numbuh 5 looked at Patton "Don't look at me, you are the teenager here" The supreme leader said "Oh yeah, Numbuh 86 now knows, put her in the VIP list" Patton said before handing a tied Numbuh 1 to Numbuh 5 then leaving the underground
"Numbuh 5?" Numbuh 1 looked the operative in the eyes with a serious look
"Yeah?" Numbuh 5 smiled at her former sector leader and friend
"I don't mean to be rude but would it be too much trouble if you uhh… UNTIE ME RIGHT NOW!" Numbuh 1 thrashed around while trying to free himself from his bindings
"Oh, right" Numbuh 5 chuckled then cut the ropes with her laser glove making the boy fall from her arms "So, from the start?"
"Preferably…" Numbuh 1 got up as he cleaned the dust off his clothes
Alright, it will be better if I show you" Numbuh 5 led Numbuh 1 inside the building
One Nigel entered inside the building Numbuh 1 couldn't believe his eyes, it was a giant pub serving soda among other things to the kids or better saying, teenagers, Numbuh 1 recognized most of the people inside the pub from Kids next door "I think I'm starting to understand…"
"Heey, Finally here with us huh?" Maurice was sitting on a stool drinking cola while talking to a few girls who giggled at him
Numbuh 5 went to a quieter spot in the bar with Numbuh 1 "Alright where to start… Oh yeah, right, Kids Next Door has a Spy Cell in the teen ninjas"
"Right…" Numbuh 1 nodded in understanding
"The members of this spy cell are a select few chosen agents around the world" Numbuh 5 said
"Yeah, I noticed some of the more distinct operatives are here…" Numbuh 1 looked at a few boys laughing with a barman
"These agents get a temporary decommissioning and then we send them here to get acquainted with the other spies" Numbuh 5 said before a bartender handed them two mugs full of soda
"What part of this involves getting a splanker on the head?" Numbuh 1 rubbed his head still feeling a bump then took a sip from the soda
"Numbuh 60's methods, not mine" Numbuh 5 shrugged smiling at the boy "So? You in? We can decommission you for real if you want" Numbuh 5 chuckled
"Are you kidding?" Numbuh 1 laughed "Of course I'm, It's the best news I've ever heard" The boy raised his mug then toasted with Numbuh 5 who seemed pleased with his response, they both drank the rest of their sodas but then something dawned on Numbuh 1's mind "Hey… Numbuh 5?" The boy placed the empty mug on the table and now seemed a bit nervous
"Yeah?" Numbuh 5 said while looking at the bottom of her mug which was now empty
"Is Rach-" Before Numbuh 1 could finish the loud sound of someone kicking open the door to the bar was heard across the place, Numbuh 1 switched his attention to the direction of the sound immediately
"Where is he?!" A tall girl with long blonde hair wearing a baggy orange shirt and a pair of jeans looked around, she then found Numbuh 1 and smiled at the boy "Nigel…"
"Does that answer your question Romeo" Numbuh 5 laughed her ass off
Numbuh 1 got up from his table and walked to Rachel. The girl did the same until the two finally kissed each other then hugged "Would it have hurt you to tell me?" Numbuh 1 laughed
"Not like I didn't give you a few hints" Rachel chuckled then kissed the boy again "Besides, It wouldn't make a difference since we wouldn't be able to meet up together outside of missions"
"You take your so seriously… that's why I love you" Numbuh 1 said then kissed his girlfriend again
"I do my best" Rachel hugged Numbuh 1's arm then brought him over to a nearby table "So? Liking the place?" She asked
"Yeah… It's nice in here, where were you?" Numbuh 1 asked while drinking another mug of soda Rachel had just ordered
"Oh, I was in a mission with the teen ninjas, something about cutting a soda smuggling route from kids next door" Rachel said before drinking an entire mug of soda then burping, the girl covered her mouth then blushed "Sorry…"
"It's okay, so… you are a teen ninja?" Numbuh 1 raised an eyebrow
"Yeah, our job as spies is only to inform high command and sometimes save kids next door operatives as long as it doesn't blow our cover, aside from that we just do everything teen ninjas do" Rachel said
"I don't know If I will be able to adapt…" Numbuh 1 lowered his head a bit put off
"Don't worry, It was hard for me too at the beginning, nowadays I beat kids next door operatives three times a week" Rachel laughed
"If you say so… just go easy on me alright?" Numbuh 1 said
Rachel chuckled "Don't worry, you'll feel just like home" After Rachel said that the door to the bar was opened again this time a blonde operative in a football uniform arrived
Chad sat near the counter then rested his head against it "One beer please…"
"You know we don't sell alcohol here dude" The barkeeper said then gave Chad a mug of Root Beer "Rough day?"
"Some brats exploded my bike in a mission yesterday… My mom drove me here" The teenager groaned then took a sip from the Root Beer "Hmmm… You put ice cream on it?" Chad smiled then proceeded to drink the rest of it, he then noticed someone was pointing a gun in his direction, he turned to his side only to see Numbuh 1 frowning at him "Just to be clear, I was against recruiting you into TND"
"No you were not, You defended him, I was there" Rachel crossed her arms smiling at Chad
"Shhhh… I thought I told you to keep your mouth shut about that" Chad looked at Rachel with an embarrassed look while ignoring the laser gun pointed at him
"You are with… Us?" Numbuh 1 looked at him now quite confused
"Aaaaactually he is our leader" Rachel grabbed the laser pistol Numbuh 1 had snatched from her "If you forget about Numbuh 60 that is" Rachel laughed
"So? I take it that you are still mad about the decommissioning stuff?" Chad said while trying to scoop the rest of ice cream from his mug
"You almost destroyed my entire Sector along with their memories, and you are indirectly responsible for the Grandfather crisis, so yeah, I'm still pretty mad about it" Numbuh 1 frowned at Chad pointing his finger at him
"Suck it up, not like you weren't the hero both these times" Chad laughed at the boy "Anyway, Wanna join the football team? It's a good chance for you to enter the ninjas and start going undercover"
"Why would I join your team?" Numbuh 1 asked still wary of the former supreme leader
"Do you know how to play an instrument?" Chad asked
"No" Numbuh 1 answered
"Are you good at math or at any nerdy subject at all?" Rachel asked
"No..." Numbuh 1 answered again lowering his head
"See you at training" Chad patted Numbuh 1 on the back then left to talk with a few operatives at a nearby table
Numbuh 1 groaned "Is he really our leader?"
"Try to ignore the times he tried to kill you and just think as if you are with Numbuh 274, Chad is a bit of a jerk but he is no Cree" Rachel said then got up "Come on, I managed to get a few tickets for a movie, I missed going out with you…" Rachel said
Numbuh 1 sighed then smiled at his girlfriend "Alright, it will be nice to go out after so much time" Nigel and Rachel left the secret base and headed for the movies, the girl had chosen a Romantic movie, the room was mostly empty "Didn't know you liked this kind of movie"
"I never had the chance to watch one of these with you back when we were kids" Rachel chuckled as she felt Numbuh 1 wrapping his arm around her shoulder "Smooth…" She grinned at him then noticed some rustling a few chairs behind them "Don't look now… but I guess you will have your chance to know how to beat brats veery soon"
"What is that supposed to mean?" Numbuh 1 raised an eyebrow while looking at Rachel slightly confused
"Four rows behind us, with popcorn flying" Rachel said while paying full attention to the movies
Numbuh 1 slightly turned his head and saw a group of three heads poking out of the chairs watching him from afar "You have got to be kidding me…" Numbuh 1 shook his head
"Hey, don't pretend as if you didn't do this before with Maurice" Rachel grinned at him then pulled him into a kiss, she chuckled as she heard a few grossed-out sounds from behind
Numbuh 1 sighed "Who is there?"
"No… No one" Numbuh 4 answered
"Idiot!" Numbuh 2 said
"Should I…" Numbuh 1 whispered
"I can take Numbuh 3 if you want" Rachel kissed Numbuh 1 on the cheek
"Alright… It will be good practice for them anyway, just let me get in character…" Numbuh 1 cracked his knuckles "Ahem… Alright I know there are brats in this room, come out right now!" Numbuh 1 said
Silence soon followed but it was cut short by Numbuh 4 who jumped in his direction "Alright come at me teenager!"
Numbuh 1 grabbed Numbuh 4's leg then threw him back at his friends, the boy ended up falling on top of Numbuh 2, Nigel crouched near the duo "Who are you guys?"
"Just some brats from Kids Next Door, don't worry about them" Rachel was holding Numbuh 3's leg hanging the girl upside down as she struggled trying to break free
"The movie was kinda boring anyway" Numbuh 1 shrugged while placing his foot on top of his two friends and smiling at his girlfriend
"No way, it was getting good" Rachel had just finished tying Numbuh 3 as she approached Numbuh 1 and kissed him, Numbuh 1 proceeded to tie the rest of the members of his former sector and went back to watch the movie with Rachel
"Why aren't you this romantic with me?" Numbuh 3 asked while watching the movie
"Not the time!" Numbuh 4 yelled at his girlfriend.
"You know what? I could get used to this" Numbuh 1 whispered to his girlfriend
"Told you" Rachel chuckled then kissed him as the movie ended.
