Numbuh 60 slowly woke up, still a bit drowsy from his sleep, the boy looked around and then saw Numbuh 86 sleeping right next to him, his first reaction was to back away, he looked at the Decommissioning head officer sleeping peacefully and blinked several times in confusion, then it came to him what happened just about six hours ago, Numbuh 86 and him were a couple now "Still doesn't feel real…" Numbuh 60 placed his hand on top of Numbuh 86's head and started stroking her hair
Numbuh 86 chuckled with her eyes still closed "I know what you mean…" The girl slowly opened her eyes to look at Patton, she smiled at him and then kissed the boy, the girl yawned and sat on his bed "Much better… How much did we sleep?"
"Hmmm…. Six hours" Patton sat on his bed right behind the girl and hugged her from behind "You going back to Moonbase?"
"No… Today is practically a long weekend since everyone will be too full of candy to work… I'm going to fool around a little bit" She said then felt a shiver down her spine as Patton kissed her neck from behind
"You? fooling around? Right" He chuckled then left the bed then crouched under the bed only to bring back about eight bags full of candy "These are yours" Numbuh 60 handed the girl her candy from last night
"Much obliged… Sorry again, I just now realized I kind of made you carry all this stuff" Numbuh 86 scratched the back of her head a bit embarrassed
"Pfft… Don't worry, my ship was parked nearby" Patton grabbed a caramel and ate it "Anyway, I was meaning to ask you something"
"Out with it" Numbuh 86 said while unwrapping a lollipop from her bag
"Should we… you know… go public?" Patton asked
"Bad idea" Fanny sighed "Nothing against you, it's just the fact that my dad would go crazy if he heard about it" The girl said a bit sadly "My mom would probably adore you though, she always wanted me to get a boyfriend" The girl chuckled
"Your father is overprotective or something?" Patton asked
"Something like that" Numbuh 86 nodded "He would probably come crashing down on moonbase if he ever learns about us" Fanny rolled her eyes a bit annoyed as she threw the lollipop stick away after finishing it then grabbed a handful of candy and shoved in her mouth "Why are you asking though? You care about going public?" she asked while her mouth was full of candy
"I wanted to take you on a date or something like that" Patton sighed a bit disappointed
Fanny blushed after hearing this then swallowed all the candy "W-We can try going to someplace where people don't know us…" The girl scratched the back of her head embarrassed by his suggestion
"Don't worry too much about this, it was a stupid question" Patton hugged the girl and then laid on the bed with her
Numbuh 86 smiled at the boy then kissed him "You know… Now that I see you up close like that, you're pretty good-looking for a boy" She laughed
"Tell me about it, the cadet girls are always sending me letters" Numbuh 60 groaned
Numbuh 86 raised an eyebrow at his remark a bit angry frowning at the boy
"Kidding, Just kidding" He smiled at her a bit nervous
"Suuuure… I may need to reconsider the no going public thing if this "kidding" continues" Numbuh 86 sighed
Numbuh 60 laughed "Come on, I'm not that weak, besides, I can't date anyone who can't match me in a fight" the boy said grinning at the girl
"Fair point" Numbuh 86 was grinning at the boy too then burst out laughing "Alright, I'm not going to be that kind of girlfriend" she said while whipping a tear off her eye then grabbed him by the shirt "As long as you keep them away yourself" she said with a threatening tone to her voice
"Wouldn't have it any other way" The boy laughed in a light-hearted way then kissed the girl, Patton then sat right next to her, the couple kept eating candies for a while after that "By the way, where is your communicator?" Patton pointed at her wrist
"I think I forgot it at moonbase, I left in a hurry, Numbuh 362 wanted to make put on a dress, I love you but not thaaaat much" Numbuh 86 chuckled
"That's new to me, Numbuh 362 knows?" Patton raised an eyebrow
"Oh yeah, right, I forgot to tell you what happened after the punch from yesterday" Numbuh 86 laughed a bit embarrassed "Truth is…" Numbuh 86 went on to explain how she was crying in her office and how Numbuh 362 and Numbuh 3 helped her prepare to talk to him
"Numbuh 362 is fine but… Can we trust Numbuh 3?" Patton asked a bit worried
"Eh, don't worry, I don't think people will believe her if she blurts it out" Numbuh 86 laughed
"If you're saying…" Patton grabbed his communicator and fidgeted with it for a bit
"What are you looking at?" The girl asked now curious about the sudden interest of the boy in his communicator
"This thing has been buzzing for a while, someone is sending me tons of messages…" Patton kept fidgeting with it "Hm?" Patton raised an eyebrow upon seeing something on his communicator
"What?" Numbuh 86 asked
"Just a sec…" the boy kept fidgeting with his communicator, he then squinted his eyes while reading a message "No fu%$#%$ way!" Patton looked at his communicator with fire in his eyes
"Hey!" Numbuh 86 punched the boy on the shoulder angrily at the boy "You kiss me with that mouth?!"
Patton grabbed a remote controller that sat right next to the bed and turned on his television
Numbuh 86 turned her attention to the television then understood why the boy looked so angry "Oh…"
A photo of both operatives sleeping together hugging each other was being displayed on tv, the header said "Numbuh 86 and Numbuh 60 dating: Sleeping together at Arctic Base after Halloween"
"But… How?" Numbuh 86 looked at the tv in disbelief at what she was seeing
Numbuh 60 squinted at the television then sighed "Top right corner of the photo" he pointed at the screen
Numbuh 86 also squinted noticing something was written in the spot Patton was pointing at, the girl immediately frowned as her eyes turned into pure fire "Photo Taken by Numbuh 10!" Numbuh 86 was grinding her teeth together while crushing a handful of candy with her other hand "That little &%$#$ When I get my hands on her I will %$&# %$ murder her!"
Patton punched the girl still looking at the tv angry at the news
"Ow! What is that for?" Numbuh 86 looked at the boy confused
"Gee, you kiss me with that mouth?" Numbuh 60 asked while rubbing his shoulder which still hurt quite a bit from her punch
"Oh, Sorry, My bad" The girl scratched the back of her head a little bit embarrassed but smiling at his reaction but it soon turned back into a frown as she turned her attention back to the television "How the hell did she get in here?"
The news soon changed to Numbuh 10 who was giving an interview to another reporter "It was easy, I went to Arctic to do an interview with Numbuh 60 since he is one of the top candy hoarders from the top offices in knd, I knocked on his door but he didn't answer, that was when I noticed it was unlocked, like the good journalist I am I decided to investigate and… well… I caught those two sleeping together, aren't they the cutest?" The girl laughed
Numbuh 86 turned her attention to Patton as she frowned at him
"Don't look at me, you're the one who forgot to lock the door after entering the room" Patton said crossing his arms
Fanny sighed "No use in arguing over this" She said then got up from his bed "I'm going to smash Numbuh 10's head against the armored glass in moonbase you wanna tag along?"
"I'm in" Patton got up from his bed then followed Fanny outside his room, as the two walked around arctic base heading for the ship hangar several operatives looked at the two and whispered, giggles could be also heard "Yeah, this is uncomfortable"
"Just ignore them, After I make an example of Numbuh 10 they won't be whispering that much" Numbuh 86 cracked her knuckles smiling to herself, the couple arrived in the hangar soon after that where two agents already opened the hangar for their departure
"Congratulations Sir" one of the boys saluted Patton while he got in the ship with Numbuh 86
"Uhhhh… Thanks" Patton thanked the boy then left for Arctic base "Sorry, I know you didn't want to make it public…"
"Hm? What are you talking about? There is no denying that photo" Numbuh 86 said while piloting the ship heading towards the moon "If anything I'm happy you aren't embarrassed by me or something"
"Why would I be embarrassed about you?" Numbuh 60 raised an eyebrow a bit confused
"Well… I'm not the most popular agent if you get my meaning" Numbuh 86 sighed "I don't hate it but it comes with its own problems"
"Good thing I'm not worried about being popular then" Numbuh 60 laughed then sat right next to the girl
Numbuh 86 smiled a bit embarrassed by Patton's comment "Trying to be wholesome like that won't earn you any points with me just so you know" she lowered her head trying to conceal her blushing
Patton chuckled "That's fine by me" He said then kissed the girl on the cheek
Fanny laughed flustered by his kiss "I'm trying to focus on piloting here… we can kiss once we reach moonbase" She said while unable to hide the fact she was happy by his attitude
Once the couple arrived at moonbase the whispering started once again, several operatives talked behind their backs, Fanny and Patton walked toward the global command room but were stopped by a reporter in the middle of the way with a camera "Is it true Numbuh 60 is dating the boy hating Numbuh 86?"
"Now listen here you…" Patton frowned at the boy ready to punch him but was stopped by Numbuh 86
"Yes, we are dating" Fanny said "Make sure to write a good article about that" the girl patted the boy on the shoulder then continued walking
"Alright… that was weird" Patton said
"What? We are dating and I really hate boys" Fanny said then paused for a moment and blushed "Well, except for you"
"Thank, I guess" Patton chuckled while his girlfriend tried to ignore him grinning at her
The two finally arrived at the global command room where Numbuh 362 was sitting on her chair eating a bowl filled with caramels "Alright, where is she?"
"Behind my chair" Rachel said while grabbing a handful of caramels then throwing some of them up then catching then with her mouth
"Traitor!" Numbuh 10 said
"What? You just appeared here without saying a thing then hid behind my chair" Rachel shrugged then continued eating her caramels "By the way, I was meaning to give you a call to know how it went but I guess I don't need to do it anymore" The girl chuckled "Congratulations to you two, I'm happy for you guys" She said smiling at the two
Fanny blushed "I… Thanks, really wanted to talk about this with you in another way" Numbuh 86 smiled at Rachel
"You can give me the details later" Rachel said
"That will be nice…" She said then frowned "Ahem, Sir? I need to teach Numbuh 10 a lesson"
"I'm not getting involved on this one, Just don't kill her" Rachel said "Is it okay If I stay in my chair? I really don't wanna get up, Post Halloween is one of the only times in the year when I don't need to worry about work because everyone is too lazy to ask me for anything"
"Doon't worry, it will be quick" Numbuh 86 rolled up her sleeves then started smacking her fist into her palm as she approached Numbuh 10 who started to run away
"If you ask me I did you a favor, you two would probably try to keep it a secret and act like two weirdos all the time!" Numbuh 10 said while running away as Numbuh 86 ran after her
"Let me see… Invading my privacy, taking photos of mine without my consent while I sleep, entering my boyfriend's room without his permission, you want me to continue?" Numbuh 86 corned the girl against a wall
While Numbuh 86 beat some sense into Numbuh 10, Patton talked with Rachel "So, I guess I have you to thank for all of this?" He said
"Pfft" Rachel scoffed "No way, I just told her to not punch you"
"It's Numbuh 86 we are talking about, that's big" Patton laughed
Rachel laughed "Fair enough, So? How are you going to deal with Daddy?"
"I'm going to figure something out, don't worry" Patton said in a carefree way
"I'm not too confident about that" Rachel said while unwrapping a lollipop "Hmm… " Rachel showed her blue tongue to Patton
"These are good? May I?" Patton said pointing at Rachel's candy bag
"No way, I heard you got quite the haul yesterday with her" Rachel chuckled then slapped Patton's hand
"Ow! Fine…" Patton turned his attention back to Fanny who was hanging Numbuh 10 upside down using a lamp post that decorated the global command room "I kinda feel sorry for her, should we stop them?"
"Let her have her fun" Rachel said laughing at Numbuh 10's predicament, suddenly an explosion hit the global command causing a small tremor around the global command room "Kids Next Door Battle stations!" Numbuh 362 grabbed a weapon from inside her candy bag and aimed it toward the explosion, she suddenly saw a figure leaving the smoke
"Alright where is the brat that is deceiving my daughter?!" Mr boss surged from the smoke carrying a laser gun disguised as a briefcase
"Daddy?!" Fanny looked at her father who looked around the room searching for Patton
Numbuh 362 sighed then stored her weapon back inside her candy bag
"What are you doing? He is right there" Numbuh 60 said
"Hey, you decided to be part of his family the moment you started dating her, I'm not getting involved" Rachel shrugged then went back to eating her candies
Fanny released Numbuh 10 making the girl fall on the floor still tied "What are you doing here?"
Her Dad chuckled evily "Well that's simple, you see…"
A few hours earlier Numbuh 85 and his brother Shaunie were playing yipper in his room while KNN aired in the background "Three sixty-fives for five caramels"
"Give me one of those coconut ones we got from yesterday and you have a deal, also I wanna trade two of my eight sixes for all your licorice" Shaunie said
Numbuh 85 handed him the cards plus the coconut chocolate "Hmmm… I can trade you for half, I didn't get the chance to eat it yet, make it only one of your eight sixes" Numbuh 86 said
"Deal, that's pretty good" Shaunie handed his yipper card to his older brother "You think sis will trade something with us?"
"You live under the same roof as I do? She always keeps all the candy to herself" Numbuh 85 laughed, suddenly their card exchange was interrupted by a song coming from television
"Breaking news!" A feminine voice from KNN news said
"Great, what is it this time? Another candy-gathering record?" Numbuh 85 laughed
"Numbuh 60 and Numbuh 86 caught sleeping together at Arctic base, everything indicates those two are officially a thing" Numbuh 10 announced with a photo of the couple hugging themselves on their sleep being displayed for all to see
Shaunie and Paddy froze up instantly after hearing that, both boys grabbed the controller and turned off the television as fast as they could "If Dad knows…." Shaunie grabbed his older brother by the shirt
"He won't, no way Dad listens to Kids Next Door official news channels" Paddy smiled at his brother trying to calm him down "If anything it's a good chance to get some of her candy if you ask me, that and Dad won't kill anyone"
"Why would I kill anyone? You two got in trouble?" Mr Boss appeared by the door frowning at his two sons
"Uhhhhh… you won't kill anyone if we don't go bad in the school play next month?" Shaunie smiled at his father trembling a bit scared
"Oh, don't worry, that teacher of yours will be sent on some nice vacations in Alaska if I notice he didn't rehearse with you two properly, Macbeth is my favorite play, he can't just simply get it wrong" their father laughed then hugged his two sons then walked with them laughing to the living room "You two are great" suddenly Mr Boss took out a KND universal controller from his pocket
Both boys turned blank "Uhhhh… Dad?"
"What?" Mr boss looked at the two boys confused by their expression
"T-This is the remote controller for my room's television" Paddy said, the boy was sweating like never before while Shaunie tried to leave the couch silently
"The controller for this damn television always gets lot, I saw this one in your room before leaving and wanted to take the opportunity, now come on, nothing like some television time with your old man" Mr Boss laughed then turned on the television
"And now further news on the Numbuh 86 and Numbuh 60 story with Numbuh 20" An anchorman from KNN said
"Thanks, those two were so cute together" An image displaying the two operatives sleeping together was being displayed as Numbuh 10 went on to explain how she found the couple in Patton's room
Paddy looked at his side and saw his dad looking at the television with murderous intent
"School play huh?" Mr boss said looking at his son
"Well… you know…" Paddy smiled at his dad nervously
"Oh, we got breaking news, it seems Numbuh 86 and Numbuh 60 are heading to moonbase right now to get their revenge on Numbuh 10 according to our sources at Arctic Base" The anchorman said
"What?!" Mr Boss and Numbuh 10 said at the same time
"I'm getting out of here" Numbuh 10 dashed away from the studio
"I'm going after that snotty boy, if he thinks he can put his hands on my daughter and get away with it he is sorely mistaken" Mr boss said as he left his home carrying his briefcase
"Numbuh 60 is doomed" Paddy sighed "You can stop hiding Shaunie"
"Should we warn Sis?" Shaunie asked
"Tried to call her earlier, I think she isn't with her communicator"
Back to the present Mr Boss finished explaining, the adult villain was shooting at Patton the entire time
"My brothers are idiots" Fanny placed her hand against her face as she shook her head in dismal
"At least they tried" Rachel chuckled
"Shouldn't you two get involved?" Patton asked while dodging a laser beam boss shot at him
"Family Dispute, not getting involved" Rachel said
"Hey we are not family… yet" she smiled to herself
Boss let out a scream in anger and started shooting faster at Patton
"Not helping!" Patton hid behind a few consoles "Are you sure I can't attack him?" Patton turned his attention to Fanny
"What kind of guy attacks their girlfriend's dad? Stop being fussy, he can't shoot at you forever" Fanny said a little angry at the boy
"That's where you are wrong Fanny" Mr Boss laughed "I made sure to pack extra batteries for today" He said
"Wait, your name is Fanny?" Patton chuckled at her
"Careful, I'm about to join Daddy if you say anything more" Numbuh 86 lifted her shirt a bit showing a 2x4 pistol she had
"Hey, you really like this boy?" Mr Boss asked while still shooting Patton
"He has his charms" Numbuh 86 said smiling at her dad
"I really don't understand you kids" Mr Boss shook his head
"Just to be clear, she was the one who confessed first" Patton said before lowering his head to doge a laser beam
"Coward! That is only the more reason for me to kill you right here" Mr Boss said
"Well yeah but technically you kissed me out of the blue, you confessed first" Numbuh 86 pointed out
Mr Boss screamed again and started shooting even more at Patton
"Again, not helping!" Patton said while leaving his cover which was destroyed by Mr Boss
Suddenly a loud sound of static was heard around the command room, it was coming from a giant screen "Alright who is using the main communication channel?" Rachel asked a bit annoyed
Suddenly the screen cleared out, it was Numbuh 86's mom smiling at all the kids "Oh, how precious, Fanny why didn't you tell me you had so many friends?"
"Because she doesn-" an unsuspecting agent in the room was about to say something when Numbuh 60 and Mr Boss shoot at the boy shutting him up
"Your brothers were so suspicious a few minutes ago, but some soda and popcorn managed to get them talking, I'm so happy for you" Her mom then looked at Patton "He looks like such a good boy, please have dinner with us today, you won't regret it" She then turned her attention to her husband frowning at him "Dear, I hope you aren't trying to attack that boy… You wouldn't want to sleep in the couch for the rest of the month would you"
"No! Everything but the couch, my back hurt for a whole month after that" Mr Boss dropped his briefcase "I just… wanted to congratulate this boy… you know… have some man-to-man talk'" he laughed clearly nervous while patting Patton on the back trying to hug the boy
"So now you wanna be friends? Fat chance" Patton whispered to Mr Boss
"I remember seeing the ready-for-combat Rainbow Monkey in your room, don't test me!" Fanny whispered at the boy with a menacing intent
Patton paused for a moment then smiled at Mr Boss "He is such a great guy, No wonder Numbuh 86 is so nice to everyone" Patton said while patting the adult villain on the back smiling at Fanny's mother
"That's so wonderful, you aren't allergic to Lobster are you dear?" She asked Patton
"Uhhh… No Ma'am, Lobster is fine" He said smiling at the woman still a bit nervous
"Dinner is 9 PM, don't get too late" She waved him goodbye then closed the transmission
"My sons are idiots" Mr Boss sighed then pushed Patton away
"Are we on good terms now?" Patton Raised an eyebrow
"No, be glad my wife stopped me, I will never accept you!" He yelled at the boy then was caught by a ship parked near the base that was waiting for him
Patton sighed then walked up to Numbuh 10 who was still tied on the floor, he stared at the girl then patted her on the shoulder "I'm signing you up for some training at Arctic after this dinner thing is done" Patton said then returned to his girlfriend "Went better than I expected"
"How can you say something like that?! It's the worst-case scenario, my mom just invited you to my house" Fanny yelled at him
"Your mom seems okay" Patton shrugged
"She is probably the only thing keeping my father away from you, but she has her own problems" Numbuh 86 blushed then covered her face as she groaned
"Can't be that bad, so… Fanny huh?" Numbuh 60 grinned
"Any problem with that?!" Numbuh 86 grabbed him by the shirt while showing her fist to him
Patton laughed at her reation "It's a beautiful name, don't worry"
"Oh…" Fanny blushed then released him "Thanks" she said "Let's… Let's go back to Arctic, you know, rest a bit before dinner" Fanny said
"Right behind you" Numbuh 60 said as he followed the girl outside the command room
Numbuh 362 sighed in relief "Finally some peace and quiet…" She said while grabbing more candy.
