Patton was in Arctic Base with Fanny, they were both getting ready for Dinner at her house "Your mother seems to like me, this may not be as hard" Patton said while tying his shoes
"Trust me, with the amount of embarrassing stuff she can say… I doubt that" Numbuh 86 rolled her eyes a bit annoyed then smiled at him getting ready while she ate a few more candies "You should be fine"
"What if she asks me if I wanna marry and have children with you?" Patton asked while fixing his hair looking at a mirror
Numbuh 86 choked on her candy after hearing his question "HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW?! DON'T ASK ME THIS KIND OF RIDICULOUS QUESTION!" The Head of Decommissioning was blushing a bright shade of red as she threw a pillow at him in anger, she then turned away from him to hide her smile while still blushing
"Calm down, it was a joke" Patton chuckled "By the way, can I sleep in your house?"
"What? Why?" Numbuh 86 looked at him slightly confused
"I can't?" Numbuh 60 asked
"It's not that… er… are your parents okay with it?" Numbuh 86 asked now slightly embarrassed
"My mom and dad actually watch the KND channel from time to time… trust me, they are fine with it, actually they wanna meet you one of these days" Patton sighed "So?"
"I have to ask mom and dad but… sure, it's fine by me" Numbuh 86 blushed then approached him looking at her boyfriend in the mirror, he was wearing a casual shirt with jeans "You look good, you sure you don't wanna wear the usual though?"
"That's for military training, wouldn't be nice to show up in that, I guess I will be fine if your father doesn't try shooting me again" Patton laughed a bit
"As long as mom is nearby you can relax, Daddy doesn't do anything bad near her" Fanny sighed shaking her head then smiled at Patton "You will do fine" she kissed the boy "now get out"
"What? Why?" Patton asked
"I need to dress up for dinner as well" Numbuh 86 said
"Not fair, you say me in my undies" Numbuh 60 pointed out
"The military camouflage print is very nice by the way, it matches you" Numbuh 86 chuckled then kicked Patton out of the room frowning at the boy "But it's different for girls, maybe another time" she winked at him then closed the door
Patton then blushed a bit flustered by her final remark, he sat right in front of the room waiting for his girlfriend to get ready after that, after a few hours of waiting Numbuh 86 finally left his room, the girl had her hair tied into a ponytail and wore a dark green short-sleeved shirt with orange pants and a pair of sandals "Wow…" Patton smiled at her
"I bought these… wasn't really planning to wear them any time soon but…" She blushed while scratching the back of her head trying to avoid looking at him slightly embarrassed
"You look amazing" Patton got closer to his girlfriend and kissed her
Fanny was silent for a moment then sighed a bit annoyed "Let's just leave this base already, this place is freezing" She said
"Well… It's Arctic after all" Patton followed her around Arctic Base, he noticed a few whispers from operatives but this time the focus of gossip was solely on Numbuh 86, the operatives weren't used to seeing the decommissioning officer dressed like that
"You know… I wouldn't try hitting it for all the candy in the world but… Numbuh 86 is pretty good-looking when she is not yelling at us" An male operative whispered
Numbuh 86 and Numbuh 60 managed to hear that, Fanny stayed silent and just lowered her head blushing a bit while Patton chuckled at her reaction amused by the situation, they soon left for her house
Arriving at the Fulbright residence Patton looked around searching for traps or anything that Mr Boss could've set up to attack them, Numbuh 86 noticed that and nudged the boy in the ribs "Would you calm down? Daddy wouldn't dare fiddle with mom's front yard" Fanny sighed as she opened the door, suddenly she was surprised by a white flash "Wha?!"
"Oh aren't you two the cutest" Mrs Fulbright had her camera in hands while smiling at the couple
"Mooooom!" Fanny groaned as she went inside the house with Patton
"Ohh…" her mother chuckled "let me record these moments, I was so happy to hear you actually got a boyfriend" Her mother hugged Fanny who squirmed trying to break free
"Let's go Patton" Fanny grabbed his hand and went to the living room, the girl was blushing, she sat on the couch with Patton, her two brothers were on the floor still trading candy, Fanny frowned at the two "Good job you two, couldn't even keep a secret" Numbuh 86 said
"It wasn't our fault, how should I know he was going to grab the controller? You're the ones who couldn't lock a door" Paddy said
"Now you little…" Numbuh 86 started pulling up her sleeves but was stopped by Patton
"Calm down, he is right and you know it" Patton sighed
Numbuh 86 sat back on the couch murmuring something angry to herself crossing her arms
"Sorry about that, your mom is giving her a hard time" Patton said smiling at both boys
"She is like that" Shaunie laughed "Aren't you worried about Daddy?"
"Hey, I'm sure behind all that anger there is a heart" Patton scoffed as the two brothers looked at him in terror "He is right behind me?" Patton asked to which both brothers nodded, Patton calmly turned to see Mr Boss looking annoyed by his presence
"My heart only works for my kids, you just have my full anger" Mr Boss said then sat on his armchair
"Now don't be like that, he is a very nice boy from what I can tell" His wife appeared in the living room and pinched Patton's cheek giggling at her husband
"Hands off" Numbuh 86 pulled Numbuh 60 closer pouting at her mother
Her mother giggled then went to the kitchen "Dinner will be ready soon" Mrs Fulbright was humming a song happily from the kitchen
Patton was a bit embarrassed "She is nice"
"Too clingy for my tastes" Fanny said a bit annoyed
"Patton, wanna trade?" Shaunie showed the boy some of his yipper cards
Numbuh 60 paused for a moment then grabbed a small box from his pocket "I can't eat candy, she said she is going to kill me if I eat candy before dinner" Patton pointed at Fanny grinning at the boys
"It's bad enough Dad hates you, if Mom hates you because you ate before dinner I don't know what I'm gonna do with you" Fanny frowned at them
"You two have any two hundred?" Patton showed a glowing card to them "I can trade for this three hundred thirty-three, I got two from a cadet last week"
"Woah… It really glows…" Paddy approached the card with glowing eyes "Two hundred… Shaunie…"
"But I wanted to sell it!" Shaunie said
"Come on… you know I always wanted the three hundred thirty tree…" Numbuh 85 said
Shaunie sighed "Fair point, here" Shaunie handed his card to Patton who gave his card to Shaunie
"Alright. hand it over" Paddy smiled at Shaunie
"Sure, Pay up" Shaunie extends his hand over to his older brother
"But…" Paddy looked at his brother feeling betrayed
"The card was his" Patton shrugged as he stored his new car smiling to himself
"You are really bad at negotiation huh?" Numbuh 86 sighed then smiled at her boyfriend "Didn't know you collected those" Fanny scoffed
"Too nerdy?" Patton chuckled
"Nah, all boys like these stupid cards" Fanny grinned at him "Just never saw you with them"
"You would be surprised by the amount of these cadets give me trying to bribe me to avoid training" Patton chuckled "Of course I keep the cards before kicking them out of Arctic base, but sometimes I just like to trade with them, It's good for morale" Patton said "By the way, I liked your attitude, wanna visit Arctic one of these days?" Patton asked Shaunie
"You aren't recruiting my son for that organization filled with brats and losers!" Mr Boss finally spoke up
"Hey!" Paddy and Fanny took offense by Mr Boss remark about Kids Next Door
"Of course you two are the exception" Mr Boss laughed at the two then aimed his laser briefcase at Patton
"Good thing I got this ready" Patton grabbed something from his pocket
"Hey! I said no weapons before leaving" Numbuh 86 frowned at Patton
"It's not a weapon" Patton said
"Oh, good" Fanny sighed in relief
"It's a shield" Patton smiled at her then with a quick motion of his arm a 2x4 shield made of hard candy was formed "Bring it on" Patton said grinning at Mr Boss while the adult villain smiled at the boy with fire in his eyes
"OH NO YOU DON'T!" Fanny and Mrs Fulbright who heard the commotion from the kitchen said at the same time Fanny looked at his mother a bit surprised but then turned her attention back to Patton, both women grabbed their respective others by the ear and brought them in for a talk "I saw you break the nose of an adult with a shield once!"
"Was it really that bad?" Patton said
Fanny took the shield from her boyfriend "This stays with me for the rest of the night!"
While that upstairs "A laser briefcase, that's just like you!" Mrs Fulbright took the briefcase from her husband
"But dear he was trying to recruit Shaunie for those stupid Kids Next Door!" Mr Boss said a little bit angry but trying to contain himself
"That's marvelous, Shaunie is spending too much time inside the house playing with Paddy, it was about time he got into their little club" His wife said happily then frowned "No weapons!" Mrs Fulbright threw her husband's briefcase and then saw her daughter throwing Patton's shield inside her room
"Boys" The girl sighed in annoyance
"I know right?" Her mother laughed while her husband went downstairs
Numbuh 86 blinked while looking at her mother for a second "Look… You embarrass me a lot but… thanks, it could have ended much worse back there" Numbuh 86 smiled at her mother feeling a bit embarrassed
"Patton is such a good boy, I'm glad you've chosen well" Her mother said "Don't worry dear, as long as I'm around those two won't be fighting each other any time soon" Her mother said smiling at her daughter "Who wants dinner? I made liver with brussel sprouts today" She said as a few groans could be heard from downstairs
"Aaaand you ruined it" Numbuh 86 was at the table right next to Patton looking at her plate slightly grossed out "I'm so sorry" Numbuh 86 said turning her attention to Patton slightly worried
"What?" Patton asked while shoving a spoonful of brussel sprouts and liver down his mouth looking at his girlfriend a bit confused
Fanny's mom and dad looked at the boy incredulously "Y-You like Brussel sprouts?!" Mrs Fulbright asked shocked
"It's pretty bad but it beats KND-issued military rations" Patton shivered in disgust as he resumed eating
"How can you not like him?!" Mrs Fulbright whispered to her husband
"She could bring jesus christ himself here, I would hate him just the same!" Her husband said
His wife frowned at him but recomposed herself "So… how did you two get together?" Mrs Fulbright asked
"Well the truth is… Rachel ditched me from the very beginning, I went trick or treating all alone" Fanny sighed
"Oh dear, you know lying is bad, I'm glad nothing bad happened" Her mom said looking at her daughter a bit worried
"Yeah… about that…" Fanny went on to explain how the teenagers ambushed her
"I'M GONNA MURDER THEM!" Mr Boss got up from the table, the adult villain's face was bright red with anger
"Don 't worry, I beat them up pretty badly, they must've woke up this morning" Patton chuckled
"As I was saying… after they started kicking me on the floor Patton heard the commotion and beat the living hell out of them, we trick or treated and well… by the end of the night he kissed me" Numbuh 86 blushed a bit happy
"Oh dear, that's so romantic" Her mom said smiling at her daughter delighted by her story
"And then you punched me in the face and left crying" Patton said
"Aha! So that's why she was crying, I'm getting the briefcase!" Mr Boss got up but was stopped by his wife who made him sit back down
"Well… It just came up naturally so I regretted doing it, I decided to apologize to him in the morning and well… one thing led to another and we ended up deciding to date" Fanny blushed smiling unconsciously just from reminding it then gave Patton a quick kiss on his cheek a bit embarrassed
"Eeeew…" Her brothers said grossed out
Their mother laughed at their reaction "You two will know what she means once you find a beautiful girl in the future" She said
"Yeah, but it's all good now" Fanny said more relaxed
"So when are you getting married and having kids?" Her mom asked
Numbuh 86 and Mr Boss spat the water they were just drinking, Fanny looked at her mother in shock "MOOOOM!"
"Told ya" Patton whispered grinning at his girlfriend "Well… I'm sure there are other things to focus right now but a few years from now would be nice"
"So polite, That's great, I would love to see her in my old wedding dress" Mrs Fulbright said delighted by the boy
After dinner, Patton got up but was stopped by Fanny "You are doing the dishes" she grinned at him
"Fine by me" Patton shrugged then went to the kitchen, suddenly Mr boss appeared right next to him "Planning to attack me again?"
Mr Boss grunted a bit annoyed by his question"I wish, the woman asked me to help you with the dishes"
"Sure, I clean and you dry" Patton said while cleaning a dirty plate and then handing it to Mr Boss who started scrubbing it with a rag
It went on like that for a few minutes until Mr Boss finally spoke up "Listen… thanks brat"
Patton paused for a second "For what?"
"As far as I can tell she could have gotten seriously hurt yesterday if it weren't for you so… thanks, I mean it" Mr Boss said
"It was nothing ,she beat most of them anyway" Patton shrugged as he finished washing the last plate
"Doesn't change the fact that I hate you" Mr Boss said
Patton sighed "I figured that one out" He said as he left the kitchen and went to sit right next to his girlfriend "Your father is a pretty nice guy" Patton said quietly to his girlfriend
"Of course he is" Fanny laughed "By the way, he is sleeping here today, is that alright? His parents gave the okay"
"Of course, you have your pajamas?" Mrs Fulbright asked
"Yeah I have them, don't worry" Patton said
"You can sleep in her room if you want" Her mom said
"I can't trust this boy in the bed with Fanny" Mr Boss pointed at the boy yelling at him
"To be honest we already slept in the same bed and the only problem was his snoring" Fanny groaned
"I don't snore" Patton said while going upstairs with his girlfriend
"Don't worry dear, he looks like a responsible young boy" Mrs fulbright said chuckling at the couple as they left
"Alright look… there is something I wanted to talk" Fanny was right in front of the door to her room
"Look… it's okay if you don't wanna kiss or anything while we are here, I understand" Patton said
"What? No!" Fanny pulled him into a kiss "Idiot… look, promise me you won't laugh once you enter my room" She said looking a bit worried at him
Patton was a bit confused "Sure, don't know exactly what you mean but I promise not to laugh" Patton smiled at her
"Alright…" Fanny slowly opened the door to her room and turned on the lights, her room was of course filled with Rainbow Monkeys from the bed to the floor and walls
"Huh, I wondered why you recognized the ready-for-combat rainbow monkey in my room" Patton said "Don't know why you were so worried, girls like rainbow monkeys don't they?"
"Yeah but… well you know… I'm all strong and stuff" Fanny shrugged a bit embarrassed but smiling at her boyfriend happy that he didn't laugh at her
"I mean… Yeah, it doesn't suit the way you treat others but I don't think that's important, it's funny but I wouldn't say it's anything to be worried about" Patton approached her and hugged the girl
"I need to get ready to sleep…" Fanny blushed
"Yeah me too…" Patton sighed then grabbed a small device "These really come in handy in a time like this" Patton pressed a button and a pajama in camouflage colors jumped out of it
"That's new…" Fanny smiled at him
Patton took out his shirt and pants and started putting on his pajamas "Alright, done, pretty comfy for military-issued ones" Patton said then headed for the door
"Where are you going?" Fanny looked at him a bit confused
"Aren't you going to put on your pajamas?" Patton raised an eyebrow
"I was thinking about letting you stay but with Daddy nearby it wouldn't be safe if he-" Fanny was suddenly surprised by the loud sound of snoring "You two have more in common than you imagine you know that?" Fanny immediately started undressing
"Please, don't, I'm not turning into an adult villain when I grow up, at worst a teen villain" Patton was blushing while looking at Fanny putting on her rainbow monkey nightdress
"You sell yourself too short" the girl approached him and kissed the boy then jumped on her bed followed by Patton "Good night" Numbuh 86 clapped her hands turning off the light
"Good night" Patton kissed the girl one last time then closed his eyes and sighed "To think that this started because you got ditched at Halloween by Rachel"
"I have to thank her one of these days for it" Numbuh 86 chuckled then ended up sleeping shortly after.
