13 years ago, in the warm embrace of daylight, a serene park served as the backdrop for a heart-wrenching scene.
Inko, a young girl with vibrant green hair, stood there, terror etched across her face. Tears streamed down like cascading raindrops.
As she shivered, she found herself standing in front of another boy, the boy who was hurt by a group of kids,
"T-t-that's m-mean, d-don't hurt h-him," she stammered, her voice barely escaping her lips, her entire frame trembling like a delicate leaf in the wind.
The trio of children surrounding them, with expressions hardened, seemed unfazed by Inko's pleas
The ringleader, a boy with a mop of unruly hair, sneered at Inko.
"Oh, look who's playing the hero. Think you can stop us?"
Inko stood her ground, shielding the vulnerable boy behind her. "I-I won't let you b-bully him. I-it's not right."
"Oi!" The kids heard someone scream as they spotted another kid closing in
A determined ash-blonde girl with fiery red eyes stepped forward, her presence commanding attention.
"What are you doing to them, huh?" she stated, glaring at the trio with a fierce intensity that sent shivers down their spines.
The ringleader, with his mop of unruly hair, scoffed, "Oh, look who's here, another do-gooder. Mind your own business, Red Eyes."
The ash-blonde girl squared her shoulders, undeterred by their dismissive tone. "It is my business!, Now, back off."
The ash-blonde girl took a step forward, her gaze unwavering as she raised her fist, "Or would you rather have things get ugly."
The ringleader, realizing the tide had turned, reluctantly signaled to his companions, and they slinked away
The girl turned towards Inko, who was in the process of wiping away the tears that adorned her face like glistening jewels.
"Geez, for a crybaby, you sure have guts, huh?" The girl remarked, a smirk playing on her lips.
"I-I... am sorry," Inko stammered, her voice still fragile from the recent confrontation.
"Woah, you don't need to apologize," She reassured, her gaze shifting behind Inko to find that the once-vulnerable boy had disappeared.
"Hey!! You could've said thanks!" She yelled into the emptiness with irritation
Returning her focus to Inko, Mitsuki's expression softened.
"Anyway, what's your name? Mine's Mitsuki, Mitsuki Bakugo," she declared with a happy grin, her ash-blonde hair framing her determined face.
"I-Inko... Inko Midoriya," Inko replied, a sense of relief washing over her
When I was four I truly thought all men were created equal...But it wasn't until that very day when I faced reality...
And since then, it was my first and only setback...
"Huh?!, What do you mean you don't want to be a hero?" Mitsuki-san asked as the blonde stepped on a puddle through the street
This all started in China, in Qingqing City.
"W-well, I've seen fights before, a-and it's frightening to consider facing such villains," I explained nervously
When there was news that a baby had gave off light when he was born.
"Huh? Come on, Inko-chan, don't you get it? It's the thrill of battle, the urge, the determination to fight for what's right!" Mitsuki-san exclaimed with enthusiasm.
And ever since then, superpowers/abilities were discovered in more than one place as time passed without the cause being identified.
"It's n-no doubt that heroes fight for justice and the safety of everyone, but it's not right for me. Besides, my quirk isn't reall—" I began.
And before anyone knew it, the supernatural became normal, and dreams became started to become a reality
"Nope! Don't even start! You know what I said about going down on yourself because of your quirk," Mitsuki-san interrupted firmly.
The world has become a superhuman society, and about 80% of the world's population now has some kind of unique trait
"Oh, yeah...sorry…but still, it's not for me," I insisted.
"Well damn, it seems we won't be seeing much of each other in high school, huh?" Mitsuki-san remarked, causing my face to form a frown.
"Oh, Don't give me that frown; it'll only make me feel worse. Besides, it won't mean we won't be friends anymore. You know that," Mitsuki-san reassured.
In this world swirling with evil, the one profession that everyone once dreamed about and admired came into the limelight.
[BOOOM!]
The explosion echoed in our ears, and the screams of bystanders filled the air.
The noise emanated from a nearby bank, where smoke billowed.
A villain, with a rocky greyish-blue body and two extra arms on his back, dashed out, wearing a black mask.
Along with the superpowers came an massive increase in crime.
"Ha! You idiots really have to beef up your security!" The villain taunted, shoving people aside.
As the country was stuck in the slow process of drastic law reforms, courageous people started performing heroic acts out of comic books.
Soon, bamboo shot out from behind him, forming a cage that trapped him.
"What the?" The villain struggled to escape, but the bamboo held firm.
"Don't try to escape; you already lost," a man declared as he approached the captured villain.
Guarding against superpowers and defending against evil.
Heroes were soon accepted by the public, and it was established as an official position.
The spiky-blond hero, with two vertically cut half-bamboo stalks over his ears, brown fingerless gloves, and two bamboo stalks crossed over his back, walked up confidently.
Based on their performance, they are paid by the government and gain renown among the masses.
His green jacket featured fur cuffs and shoulder pads, and he wore a black top underneath.
"Woah, it's a..."
"Hero! Yeah! I was going to lose my mind if someone hadn't got the bastard!" Mitsuki-san interrupted.
I watched in awe as the hero confronted the villain…
- [Unmei Junior High] -
[A/N: Aka "Fate" junior High]
At our junior high, the room buzzed with chatter as the teacher struggled to quiet the students.
"Please settle down; I have some important things to discuss, and you need to listen," The teacher said, holding a stack of papers.
As she began, "As you all know, you're in your third year, and it's time for you to make decisions about your future."
"Come on, teach, everyone in this damn school wants to be a hero," Mitsuki-san interrupted, and the class erupted in agreement, showcasing their quirks.
"Yes, I know, but remember, you can't use your quirks at school; it's against the rules," the teacher reminded them.
"And now, if I remember correctly, Bakugo, you wanted to go to UA, right?" she asked.
"UA? The national school?"
"It was in the top 0.2% this year, you know!."
"Their acceptance rate is always really low, too!" a few students chimed in.
"So what? That's exactly why I'm going! My quirk may make me look hot, but it doesn't mean I can't kick a villain's ass!" Mitsuki-san declared.
"Yes, yes, we're aware," the teacher responded, glancing through some student profiles. One caught her eye.
"Interesting…Midoriya. You're apparently the only one not deciding to be a hero," the teacher stated, causing students to lock their eyes on me in confusion.
…I put my head down, surrounding my head with my arms
"What? That's a first!"
"Seriously? I never expected the smart kid to say such a thing."
"Did you get hit in the head or something?" a few students joked.
"As expected from the weakest in this school," a certain crimson-haired student (Enji Todoroki) remarked.
I winced at the comment
Mitsuki-san's face turned into one of anger. "The hell you say, you blood-haired bastard!" she exclaimed.
"Todoroki, please refrain from insulting your classmates," the teacher instructed.
The future number 2 hero scoffed, "We're all thinking the same thing; she'll never become a hero," he finished…
And at the time……i believed it
- [12:02 p.m - The Same City] -
In the afternoon, elsewhere in the city, a woman found herself on her knees, having fallen victim to a speed-quirked Villain.
"Aah! Thief! Someone!" a man exclaimed as he rushed out of a nearby building.
"Catch me if you can, but this cash is mine!" the robber taunted, zipping through the streets.
"Huh? Why is there no hero around?" a concerned civilian questioned.
"Normally someone would come right away to help," another person stated as a black-haired woman approached from behind them.
"This guy's taking advantage of the chaos from this morning," One observed as the woman started to levitate.
"There are tons of people around who don't know what to do with their quirks."
"There's no end to them," Two others commented.
"There just so happens to be an end," The levitating woman declared.
"Huh? Ahh!" the two individuals gasped, turning around to face her.
"You know why?" the woman asked as she dashed towards the villain.
"Hm? Ahh!" The Villain reacted as he turned to see the unknown hero.
"Because I am here!" the woman declared with a smile.
- [Unmei Junior High - End Of The Day] -
After class at Aldera Junior High, I stayed seated while Mitsuki-san checked her phone.
"Damn, the incident this morning is all over the internet. Wonder when they're going to catch him," Mitsuki-san stated.
She noticed my lingering frown, "Hey now, you still thinking about what that brute said to you?"
"N-no… well, yes. It's just… I'm not cut out to be a hero, and I'm sure of that. It really hurt my feelings. Like he thinks I'm useless because of it," I confessed, my frown deepening.
"Hey!! Don't let what he said get to you! Just like my father said to me, 'You don't take shit from others!' So, you do the same!" Mitsuki-san exclaimed.
"S-sure, I won't," I replied.
"Good. Now, what do you want to do? We might as well live a little until we see each other less after graduation," Mitsuki-san suggested.
"I'm sorry, Mitsuki-san. I was planning on doing some work from math class," I said, hoping I didn't upset her.
"Oh, come on, Inko. You know grades don't mean jack shit when it comes to junior high," Mitsuki-san remarked.
"I'm sorry x2, It's just I really want to get into the school I wish to attend," I explained.
"Geez, still want to be a lawyer?" Mitsuki-san asked, and I nodded my head.
"Y-yeah, it's the closest I'll get to being a hero without having to fight," I admitted.
"Damn, you and the Midoriya's strong sense of justice," Mitsuki-san muttered.
"Well, whatever you want to be, Inko-chan, I'll be with you every step of the way," she said with a reassuring smile.
"Thank you, Mitsuki-san," I replied as we both started packing up to leave our school.
Passing my old elementary school, something came to mind…
- [Flashback] -
[A/N: The following is based on a post by plusultraaa on tumblr, i just added and changed a few things, and perhaps you should check them out :)]
At the end of another day of elementary school, parents strolled alongside their children.
However, amidst the crowd, a third-year nervously searched for something, unaware she had strayed from her parents.
"W-where is it?" the girl stuttered, scanning the area.
"Hey! Are you lost, young lady? It's gonna alright!" a woman declared, approaching the green-haired child
"You see, I'm a hero... but I'm also a mom," she said with a reassuring smile.
"Oh, no, I'm okay. It's just… I dropped my favorite hair tie somewhere, and I can't seem to find it, so it's probably lost." The young girl explained with a frown
"Lost your favorite hair tie? Well, we certainly can't have that," the black-haired woman responded.
She gracefully untied her own hair, pulling out a hair tie. "Here you go," she offered to the kindergartener.
"This is my favorite hair tie, but you know what? I'd be even happier if it became your new favorite," the woman said, maintaining her warm smile.
"Ah, but it's so pretty… much prettier than my old one. Is it really okay?" The young girl hesitated,
"Of course it is!" the woman exclaimed, witnessing the greenette's frown transform into a wide smile.
"Thank you so much, miss hero! I'll treasure it forever," the girl stated with gratitude.
"My! I couldn't ask for more. Take care, young lady," the woman expressed as she walked away, observing the girl's family arriving and leaving a young, happy girl behind.
The girl waved goodbye as a hand rested on her shoulder. "Inko, where were you?!" The man with black hair asked, his hair seemingly moving ever so slightly on its own.
Inko stammered a bit as she apologized, "I-I'm sorry," tears welling up.
"Ah, no, no, don't cry, sweetie. I'm not mad. Just make sure you stay nearby. We wouldn't want a villain kidnapping you, would we?" he joked.
"N-no, dad," Inko replied, her father smiling at her.
"Good. Now What were you doing here?" he asked again.
"I-i was looking for my hair tie since I dropped it. I couldn't find it, but a nice hero lady gave me hers!" Inko explained, showcasing the hairtie.
"Wow! What a nice lady. Let's put it on, shall we?" he suggested, delicately tying her hair with it.
"Would you look at that? You're as gorgeous as your mother, the spitting image of her," her dad complimented, and Inko giggled.
"Now, let's go home. Your mother is making my favorite today, katsudon!" her father announced as Inko giggled, recalling her father's fondness for the meal…
- [Present] -
Walking home from junior high school, it had been a while since I'd seen the hero. I couldn't help but wonder how she was doing.
As my thoughts meandered, I found myself contemplating the hazards of heroism in the vibrant yet threatening city.
'My quirk is so weak; I can hardly defend myself, let alone others,' I muttered, unknowingly vocalizing my concerns
The idea of becoming a lawyer crossed my mind as a more practical way to help those in need.
Continuing my usual route, the distant echoes of a commotion reached my ears.
Reluctantly, I turned to witness chaos unfolding.
A villain, with dark purple skin and a hot pink mask, unleashed a colorless gas, corroding everything in its path as heroes attempted to subdue the behemoth.
The air thickened with the colorless gas emanating from its every pore, corroding metal structures in its path.
A trio of heroes, determined and undeterred, confronted the villain.
Captain Steelheart, clad in gleaming armor, stepped forward with a defiant stance. "This ends now!" he declared, his voice cutting through the ominous hiss of the gas.
Silent as shadows, blaze the fire welding heroine, dash towards the villain's side, aiming to sear the malevolent force.
However, the villain reacts with unexpected agility, effortlessly evading her flames
Simultaneously, Techmind, the brilliant inventor-hero, analyzes the gas's composition.
"It's breaking down molecular structures! We need to neutralize it," she exclaims, deploying a high-tech gadget designed to disperse an antidote.
Enraged by the heroes' interference, the villain swings massive limbs towards Captain Steelheart.
The clash of steel and purple skin reverberates through the desolation as Steelheart grunts, struggling to hold his ground.
Blaze intensifies her assault, creating a fiery barrier to shield her comrades.
However, the seemingly unaffected villain retaliates with a surge of corrosive gas, forcing Blaze to retreat momentarily.
Unsettled, I attempt to distance myself from the confrontation, not fond of fighting, let alone villains.
…But my future had other plans as the villain's malicious gaze falls upon me.
Panic surged as he lunged towards me with an evil smirk, the ominous sound of his rapid footsteps echoing in my ears.
Tears welled up, but just as despair seemed inevitable, another hero appeared in the nick of time.
With a powerful punch to the villain's head, she thwarted the impending danger.
…its was my idol, the floating hero "Skyward,"
As relief washed over me, the intensity of the moment overwhelmed my senses…
And I passed out….
.
.
.
"Can you repeat that, Doc?" my father asked hesitantly.
"I said that your daughter does indeed have a Quirk... it's just that it's a significantly weaker version of yours. All she can do is attract small objects towards her, and it'll remain that way."
My younger mind went blank as I absorbed the news. My father's head dropped a few centimeters, as if he was disappointed.
"I-it's okay, Dad. I-i don't want to be a hero anyway. I want to be a nurse!." I tried to cheer him up.
"I know, but I kinda imagined you'd get a Quirk stronger than me or your mother's, or a combo of both that attracts plants!" My father exclaimed, taking a sudden 180 before apologizing
"Ah, sorry, but I don't care what you choose to do. We'll follow you every step of the way!" my father stated with a smile, and I smiled back at him.
.
.
.
"Hey, you there? Wake up!" I heard suddenly as someone shook my shoulder.
"What... what just happened?" I asked myself and the one that woke me up.
"Don't know, but I'll say you passed out; you're soaked in tears, young lady," the stranger stated as I quickly noticed who it was.
"Skyward?!" I exclaimed in confusion and excitement all at once.
"In the flesh," she stated with her iconic smile.
'When I first meet her, she wasn't the most popular nor stronger, but she did get popular and stronger as I got older'
'She had a relatively weak quirk like mine, but as time went on she got stronger, taking out villain's and saving people left and right'
'…is this what you can do with a weak quirk?, can you get stronger?'
'…can you be a hero?'
"Well it's nice meeting you again young lady, you sure have grown." Skyward stated
"But evil never sleeps!, See you!." She said before getting ready to float away
'…no…I still something to ask'
'I've always been made fun if cause of my quirk, being called weak or I might as well be quirkless'
'…But maybe she was treated the same?, maybe she had the will to get stronger…become a hero'
"Can I still become a hero even with a weak quirk?" I blurt out loudly, the heros body levitating just a centimeter off the ground, She turns her head
"I-i'm just a normal girl with such a quirk. Can someone like me ever hope to become someone like you?"
…this was the second time I meet her In person, but she became an even bigger idol than before, I've idolized her for years
I didn't realize it at the time, but that encounter will changed what my future had instore for me…

And end...
This is just a sort of "Test" to see if This'll do good or not I don't really plan on doing a follow up or a show serious for this
But I do hope you enjoyed it!
