In the midst of Cyberspace, in the middle of all the hustle and bustle was Control Central, the home of the benevolent ruler…
Motherboard…
Today, in Control Central, Dr. Marbles, her technician was there with her, alongside her best friend Digit.
Digit looked at Dr. Marbles, with concern in his eyes.
"How is she, Doc?" He asked as Dr. Marbles now came out from underneath Motherboard's podium.
Dr. Marbles got up and smiled.
"The program is coming along smoothly, Digit. Soon, a new legacy will be born and there's nothing that Hacker can do to stop this." He said as he placed the tools that he used to look at Motherboard's parental circuits back into his toolbox.
Digit then looked from Dr. Marbles to Motherboard.
"How are you feeling, Motherboard?" He asked, his eyes showing concern to her.
"I… I feel…" Motherboard said as she fritzed and waved a little on the screen.
It just hit her.
She now knew why the Slime Core was disrupted.
"Digit…" Motherboard began to say as she fritzed a little on the screen, before coming back on the screen.
Digit looked at her.
"Motherboard, what is it?" He asked, now really concerned for her as she was fritzing in and out, on the screen.
Motherboard remained in control as she fought to get back on the screen.
"I… I think I might know why the Slime Core disrupted!" She said, in realization as Dr. Marbles was about to leave the room.
It then hit Digit about that day when he and the Cyber Squad had to help Ollie and Abby on Ecotopia.
"That was a doozy adventure, Motherboard. Especially since it's making my head feel dizzy…" He said, while clutching onto his head, with one of his wings as he was propelling right next to Motherboard.
Motherboard giggled.
"Digit, get a grip. This is no time to…" She began to say as she was fritzing again.
Digit straightened up.
"Sorry, Motherboard." He said, apologizing to her for his dizziness.
Motherboard smiled.
"Go lay down and relax, Digit. I'll contact the Cyber Squad. We should tell them the news." She said as Digit now began to propel slowly away from her.
"R… Right." Digit said as he now began to fly away from her.
After Digit left the room, Motherboard sighed.
She knew that she had a lot to explain to the Cyber Squad…
