With one last blow, Yang finished off the last of the Grimm. It had been a tireless yet thrilling day of slaying monsters at Beacon Academy. With a satisfied grin, Yang knocked her gauntlets together in victory. Team RWBY had slayed the most monsters, there for winning the last of the games. The award for the winning team is that they have the rest of the weekend free.
Ruby planned on teaching Swy, her pet dog, how to roll at incredible speeds while she fires with her weapon. Creating blasts of light to see if she could stop Swy. Wise was excited to complete a delicate replica of her sister as an ice statue, also so she could practise on her ability to manipulate ice and solid objects. Blake, as predicted, wanted to simply eat fish and read her novels. Enjoying the hot sun on the rooftops, her ears twitching at the vast verities of sounds in the towns area. Yang on the other hand, wanted to make the weekend memorable. She had heard of a rumour that there was a deadly Grimm in the forest, reaching over twelve feet with the most frightening display of claws and teeth. Yang was not scared at the least, in fact, she was ecstatic to catch the creature and show her friends what a great huntress she was.
With a new start of a free weekend, Yang set off to find the monster in the forest. She had her gauntlets at the ready when she ventured further into the trees. She had been to the forest plenty of times, either battling other Grimm or practising with Ruby. After an hour or so Yang heard a rustle to the left. She balanced out her stance, getting ready for a fight. Only, what appeared wasn't the dangerous Grimm, yet merely a hunter like her. With an aggravated sigh, Yang straightened and approached the other hunter. ''Hey! What are you doing? I'm on an important mission here and I can't have you scaring away my prey.'' Yang said with annoyance. The hunter merely looked at her, as if he couldn't care less about what she was doing. ''And who says that what your doing is more important?'' He said, giving her a pointed yet blank look. Yang retracted, surprised at his attitude and authority. Intrigued at his mysterious demeanour, Yang looked him over. She noted his cut short, almost black hair that reached towards his ear line. His piercing eyes betrayed no emotion yet stayed cool and composed, with a deep depth of gold in them. He wore a black duster that reached below the knees, probably covering up a variety of weapons, Yang assumed. She also saw that his long grey pants were a bit scratched and that his boots were smeared with mud. Her eyes met his again, she was wasting daylight and she new that the deadly Grimm would soon leave to hunt. With a grin, Yang jokingly saluted the hunter, taking some steps backwards. ''Sorry to cut this sort, pal. But I am a skilled huntress who is on a crazy hunt.'' With a quick spin around, Yang proceeded towards the north.
After several hours later, Yang finally spotted some massive footprints. A huge smile escaped her, knowing she found the beasts trail would make the hunt much faster. She ran forward, following the monsters tracks until she could hear a faint growling up ahead. Yang pulled her weapon at the ready and jumped through the trees into a clearing. What she saw only did her excitement for a second, because there, getting ready to battle with the blood thirsty Grimm, was the hunter she met before. That jerk is stealing my glory! Yang thought. With an angry yell, she leaped forward and blasted the creatures right arm. It growled in fury and moved a couple feet to the side. It's injured arm limp and now useless. Yang ended up next to the hunters side. ''What's your deal? This is my hunt''. Yang didn't take her eyes off of the Grimm, but spoke to her opponent. ''Not just one person can dibs a Grimm as their own.'' He said calmly, a bit of ammusent was in his voice. Yang looked towards him, noting his weapon as a dangerous fire gun that looked as if it was made to cut down the largest of creatures. ''Just try not to get In my way!''. Yang yelled before blasting towards the now angry Grimm. The hunter huffed in amusement before joining her in the fight. They both fought the huge Grimm while it swiped and charged towards them. It hit Yang on her side and was about to crush her underneath it's massive paws, but the hunter swooped in and picked up Yang. He leaped out of dangers way and they regained their stances. After many hits and blows from both of them, the monster layed at their feet, defeated.
Yang smiled and fist bumped the air above her. "Now that's what I call an awesome fight." She turned towards the hunter with her hands on her hips. "But what was the reason for you being here?" Yang asked, curious to see if he was a student at the Academy. He positioned his weapon in its latch on his back. Placing his hands in his pockets while leaning on one foot. Complete stance of indifference. He gestured to the dead Grimm next to his feet. " I was merely out for a kill" He said. Yang arched an eye brow and crossed her arms. Seeming not convinced. "Are you a student at Beacon Academy?" The side of his mouth twitched, as if amused she would assume that. " No, I'm not from around here." Yang shrugged, now bored with the conversation and looked down at her defeated Grimm. She reached downwards and grabbed one of its stiff feet, slinging it over her shoulder to carry back home. With a mischievous grin, Yang looked back at the hunter. " Hey, maybe you should consider joining. It would be a great opportunity to beat you in a real match." The idea thrilled her. For the first time the hunter smiled, nodding his head." I just might, though I doubt it would be that hard to win against you." He teased. "Ha! Your on. I'm Yang." She extended her free hand towards him. He took it with his, intertwining their fingers together. " My name's Ying."
