(A/N: Alright, we're here, the final chapter. It's short but sweet, but that's sort of what you can expect from an epilogue. Really don't know what else to say except that I hope everyone enjoyed this, especially you, Grandma. So now that we've got that out of the way, let's wrap things up here. Before we get into it though, that's no to the Guest user who is still asking, this fic would not be PG-13 for blood and violence. There are several Disney, movies with a PG or even a G rating that have a little blood and/or violence, like Ursula getting impaled, Gaston stabbing the Beast in the back, Maleficent getting a sword thrown into her heart, Kocoum getting shot, Clayton being hanged, etc. Anything in this story is tame compared to those things. So now that we've got that out of the way, let's wrap things up here.)

Disclaimer: I own nothing.

Epilogue

Time was a constant thing. It was always on the move, always marching forward, and soon enough, the holiday season had come. It had been years since Tramp had last celebrated Christmas with family.

So many things had changed for him. After the whole incident with the intruder, Lady's parents had taken him in, even having paid off any legal fees from his years on the streets. He'd even been cleared of any possible charges for manslaughter for the intruder since the man had been an escaped convict on death row who had been committing an attempted kidnapping, the whole incident being written off as self-defense.

While Lady's Aunt Sarah had been against it, her mother had been entirely in favor of fostering Tramp. They moved him into one of the spare bedrooms, treating him as if he were one of the family. And while they had made several strict but fair ground rules, neither of Lady's parents had any issues with him courting their daughter.

Tramp had very mixed feelings of being part of a family again, and it taken him time to open up. Lady had been there with him, helping to ease him into things. Her parents had been very kind and patient with him, treating him as if he really were their son. And when he finally revealed to them what had happened with his own family, they had been shocked and appalled, swearing to him that he would always have a home with them. And despite his initial trepidations, he believed them. He had forgotten how good it felt to be part of a family, and was very happy and grateful that they had taken him in.

There had been some concern about what having Tramp around would do to Lady's already tarnished reputation, but as a pleasant surprise, it had actually changed everyone's opinions. While she was at first considered a harlot, once the story of how Tramp had fought off the intruder to save her and Jim Jr. had spread, along with how Lady had chased down the police car, public opinion of her had completely flipped. What was once considered a scandal was now considered a romantic story of bravery and true love.

Even now, rumors were circulating that the two of them were already engaged, or at least unofficially promised to each other. Tramp did nothing to dispel these rumors, seemingly finding them humorous, while Lady would embarrassingly deny them. Even so, she would get a happy thrill whenever the subject was brought up.

But their family had grown beyond Tramp. Jim had apparently been serious about getting a dog. And one day, they all went down to the dog pound to adopt one. Much to Lady and Tramp's surprise, they actually found the very same Cocker Spaniel and Schnauzer-Airedale Terrier that they had seen in the park the night they had had their unofficial date.

Unable to bear separating the two of them, Lady had begged her parents if they could adopt them both. They had eventually agreed, and so they went home with two dogs instead of one. And from the way the two behaved around each other, it would surprise no one if they ended up with some puppies soon.

And so, with their new family, they sat in front of the Christmas tree as Lady's father tried to get the much bigger Jim Jr. to look at the camera long enough to take a picture.

"Hold it," he said when the baby finally looked at him.

He snapped the picture. The room filled with smoke, and he quickly rushed to the window, fanning it outside while commenting that he had used too much. And that's when he spotted someone coming up the road.

"Uh oh," he said jokingly. "Darling, visitors."

"Visitor?" Elizabeth asked, joining him at the window. A smile broke out as she saw who it was. "Why, it's Jacque and Trusty."

Lady's face lit up at the mention of her friends, and she joined her parents at the window. Jacque was dressed in her best Christmas dress beneath her winter coat as Trusty limped after her, a cast over his leg and a cane to help him walk.

"Careful," his sister told him as she looked back at him in concern. "It's a little slippery."

It seemed she jinxed herself though, because as she turned around, she slipped and fell. Trusty somehow managed to catch her while still keeping his own balance.

"Yes, I can see that," he said with a smile.

After the accident, Trusty had been taken to the hospital. He'd been very lucky. Over all, he mostly had some sever bruising. The worst of his injuries was to his leg. It had been a pretty bad break, and he was going to be in a cast for quite some time, and the recovery process after it would finally be removed would take even longer, but he should eventually make a full recovery.

Lady had felt terrible for being so reckless and causing him to get hurt. Trusty had assured her that he wasn't upset and had even considered it a blessing in disguise. He may have returned from his time in the army, but he'd still had four years of inactive duty, where he could still be called to war. And with all the issues going on with the nations of the world, it looked like a major war was on the horizon. But with his leg hurt and a long recovery process to look forward to, he had been completely dismissed from duty, much to his relief and Jacque's joy, and both ended up actually thanking Lady for indirectly causing his injury.

But all thoughts of war and past mistakes were far from the minds of everyone in the Brown house, and at the sound of Jacque's yelp from when she slipped on the ice, both dogs rushed to the door and began barking excitedly as they recognized the voice of who it belonged to.

"Alright, we'll let them in," Jim told them, and went to open the door. "Merry Christmas. Please, come in."

"Thank you, Mr. Brown," Jacque greeted as she stepped inside, followed by Trusty, who offered up his own greetings. The dogs began hopping around them excitedly, and she reached out to scratch behind their ears. "Hey, watch the dress, you two."

Jim chuckled and glanced at his wife as she, Lady, and Tramp entered the room. "Darling, where's that box of dog treats? You know, the one that Aunt Sarah sent."

"In the kitchen, dear."

A smile grazed Lady's face as her father went off to get the box in question. It had been a surprising gesture on her aunt's part, especially since she was a cat person. Despite her initial objection to her parents taking in Tramp, Aunt Sarah had warmed up to him over time, though she was still against the two of them living under the same roof, especially in light of their relationship status. But she had mellowed out over the past several months, though she still had a stick up her rear, and she was still highly old-fashioned.

Surprisingly, she hadn't been the only one who mellowed out. Ever since Si and Am had met Tramp, the twins no longer gave Lady any trouble. She suspected that they were intimidated by him, which suited her just fine; anything to get them off her back.

"There's the happy couple," Jacque exclaimed when she spotted Lady and Tramp. "Sneak any kisses under the mistletoe?"

"Jacque!" Lady exclaimed, turning red.

Tramp smirked and wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close. "We don't need any mistletoe for that."

"Mmm-hmm," Jacque muttered knowingly as Lady turned a darker shade of red. Her eyes ran up and down Tramp, taking in his Christmas attire, and she smiled in approval. "Still hard to believe that you clean up so nicely."

Tramp chuckled bashfully. "Yup. Who would have thought that there was a real gentleman under all that?"

Jacque scoffed. Both she and Trusty had really come around to Tramp once they set aside their initial dislike. Now Lady could say that the four of them were the best of friends, though Jacque and Tramp still liked to push each other's buttons. According to both of them though, that was simply a sign of their friendship.

"A real gentleman, right," Jacque teased. You're still a mongrel."

Just then, Jim Jr. came crawling over, and Jacque's eyes lit up at the sight of him. She scooped him up off the floor and began bouncing him in her arms.

"And how are you doing, little one?" she asked as Jim Jr. giggled as he was bounced, shaking his rattle in her face. "Are you enjoying your first Christmas?"

Lady's mother walked over. "Longer than he should have. Come on, young man, you're going to take a nap. We're all going to Tony's later."

Jacque reluctantly handed him over before glancing at her friends and smiling. "So, how many are you two planning on having, and when?"

Lady blushed again, and even Tramp's cheeks turned a shade of red. "W-Why are you talking about that?" she asked in embarrassment. "I mean, we're not even married yet."

Raising an eyebrow, Jacque smirked. "Yet?"

Trusty made his way over and dropped down into a chair. "Jacque, stop teasing them. You know they're just going to pay you back when you meet someone."

"They wouldn't dare," his sister retorted. "Especially since I'll have my big, strong, military brother to protect me."

Trusty rolled his eyes. "I don't think so. I'm done with all that. It was time well spent." Smirking, he mimed throwing some punches. "But if you want, I could show you some of the moves I learned in training."

Jacque scoffed and flipped her hair back. "Certainly not. I'm a lady. And Lulu's got Homer. He'll take care of anyone who messes with her, just like he took care of that kidnapper."

"And I'd do it again too," Tramp said, pressing a kiss to Lady's hair. "No one messes with my lady."

She giggled and leaned into him. "And no one messes with my tramp."

THE END

(A/N: And that's a wrap. I did say it would be shorter since it was an epilogue, but there wasn't much left to go over. And so concludes this adaptation. It was interesting rewriting characters as humans. Can't say it's something I'll do again, but who knows. I hope you liked it, Grandma, and I hope everyone else enjoyed it too. I'll be starting a new story next week, so I hope you'll check it out. Hope to see you then.)
