Charlie's heart swelled with pride as she surveyed the bustling activity within the newly renovated Hazbin Hotel. With the help of her friends and even her father, Lucifer, they had transformed the once dilapidated building into a vibrant sanctuary for souls seeking redemption. Every resident had contributed their own unique touch, making the hotel feel more alive than ever before.
"Isn't it amazing, Vaggie?" Charlie exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "I can't believe how much better it looks now!"
Vaggie smiled in agreement, her arm wrapped around Charlie's waist as they observed the lively scene before them. "It's definitely come a long way since we first started. I'm so proud of what we've accomplished together."
Charlie turned to her girlfriend, her face flushed with pride. "You're the best, Vaggie. I love you."
Vaggie's smile widened, and she leaned in to give Charlie a tender kiss.
As they walked through the bustling crowd, Charlie couldn't help but overhear snippets of conversation about the recent battle with the exterminators. Her friends were reminiscing about the victory, offering congratulations to Niffty for delivering the final blow to Adam, the lead exterminator.
"Niffty, you were amazing out there! You really showed that misogynistic asshole who's boss!" Angel Dust exclaimed, giving Niffty a playful wink.
Niffty giggled, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Aw, thanks, Angel! It was so much fun stabbing him over and over again!"
Alastor chuckled, patting Niffty on the head. He couldn't help but feel a sense of pride towards his little friend. After all, it wasn't every day that you saw a small demon defeat such a powerful opponent.
"Yes, indeed! What a magnificent battle it was! I haven't had this much fun in ages! The bloodshed, the violence, the death... it was truly a spectacle to behold!" He declared, his grin widening at the thought.
"It's a shame you didn't die in it," Husk grumbled to himself, hoping that Alastor had kicked the bucket so he would be free of his contract. Unfortunately, he knew that wasn't going to happen any time soon.
A warm hand gripped the cat demon's shoulder, causing him to look up to see a smiling Charlie. "Don't be like that, Husk! We won, and that's all that matters. Besides, I think I speak for everyone when I say that we're just happy you're okay." She reassured him with a smile.
Husk grumbled under his breath, but a small smile crept onto his face. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. I'm glad you're okay too, kid." He replied, giving Charlie a friendly punch in the shoulder.
"It's a shame Pentious had to die though. I totally would've smashed him," said Cherri, the hotel's explosive new resident who also assisted in the holy battle with the exorcists.
Charlie sighed, her eyes downcast. "Yeah, I know. He made a big sacrifice to save all of us. I'll never forget what he did for us."
The conversation shifted towards the topic of their fallen ally, Pentious. Charlie had grown attached to him back when he was a resident of the hotel. Despite his eccentric nature and his villainous past, he had proven to be a valuable ally to the group. His death left a hole in Charlie's heart, as she had come to consider him a friend.
"I'm gonna miss him," Angel Dust said, his voice barely above a whisper. "He was a weirdo, but he was our weirdo.
Charlie nodded, tears welling up in her eyes. "Yeah, he was. I wish he could've seen the hotel like this. He would've loved it."
"We'll never forget him," Vaggie said, squeezing Charlie's hand reassuringly.
With the mood dampened, Charlie decided it was time to change the subject. "Well, I don't know about you guys, but I'm starving! Why don't we grab some food and take a break?" She suggested.
"Food? Why that won't be a problem my dear! I'll make some jambalaya!" Alastor exclaimed, clapping his hands together.
"Did somebody say food?!" an enthusiastic voice called out. Everyone turned to see Lucifer theatrically make his entrance. "Not to worry Char Char, papa's got it covered." He points to himself, a proud grin on his face.
The king of Hell, dressed in his usual ringleader attire, sashayed over to the group. He took in the sight of his daughter and her friends, a look of satisfaction on his face.
All the residents were impressed. Everyone except Alastor that is.
"Oh, I forgot you were still here! You are so short, I barely noticed!" the radio demon laughed.
Lucifer glared at the demon, his eyes narrowing in contempt. He opened his mouth to retort, but thought better of it and simply shrugged his shoulders. He was determined to remain positive despite the radio demon's taunts.
"Anyways, made lunch for the crew! Who is hungry!" Lucifer asked.
Charlie admired her father's kind gesture. She was happy that he made an effort to support her dreams and to help out at the hotel.
Niffty raised her hand, jumping up and down. "Ooh! I am! I'm starving!"
As she flew towards Lucifer with lightning speed, she effortlessly scaled his suit and reached his face, a devious grin spread across her face. Her sinister chuckle sent shivers down his spine, causing him to break out in a nervous sweat.
With a fierce glint in her eye, the tiny creature spoke in a menacing tone, her words laced with aggression, "I hope you're on the menu, handsome~"
Lucifer's awkward laughter was a failed attempt to ease the tension between them. "Y-You're joking right?" He shoots a concerned look at his daughter. "She's joking right?"
Charlie tried to put his nerves at ease, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Of course she is dad. Maybe..."
She honestly wasn't sure herself, with how chaotic and unpredictable Niffty could be.
Alastor laughed and plucked Niffty off of Lucifer. "Now now dearie, save your appetite for lunch. Besides, I doubt Lucifer tastes any good. He's too small and skinny. He'd be like chewing on a toothpick."
Lucifer pouted and crossed his arms. "I'll have you know, I taste just fine! I'm actually quite delicious." He then blushed, realizing what he had just said.
"Anyways, let's eat! I'm starving!" Lucifer declared, leading everyone to the dining room. Just as Charlie and Vaggie were about to follow the others, they heard a knock on the door. Charlie's eyes lit up with excitement.
"Ooh, maybe it's a new guest!" With a hopeful smile, Charlie turned to Vaggie as they walked over to the door. "I really hope that 666 News report brings in some new customers. I have a good feeling about it."
Vaggie nodded in agreement, her expression cautious. "Let's just hope that with Adam gone, we won't have to deal with any more exterminations."
"Yeah Vaggie, I'm just happy that jerk Adam is gone for good- Oh..." As Charlie swung open the doors to the hotel, she came face-to-face with someone she never expected to see again. Though with a more demonic appearance, it was unmistakably him.
"Ehe~ Sup, Charlraptor?" Adam greeted awkwardly, fiddling with his hands as his face flushed with embarrassment.
Charlie almost immediately slammed the door in his face, pinning her back against the door. "Aha... I'm seeing that pig's ghost already," Charlie nervously chuckled, her heart racing. She was still in disbelief at what she had just seen. There was no way it was possible.
"Charlie? Are you okay?" Vaggie asked, her expression filled with concern.
"Well... I... um..." Charlie struggled to find the words to describe what she had just witnessed. "It's... Adam."
Vaggie's eyes widened, her heart sinking. "What?! I thought Niffty killed him! Did he somehow survive?!" She exclaimed.
Charlie shook her head. "I don't know, Vaggie. I really don't know." She sighed, her voice trembling. "He's really here though... and he looks different. Like, really different."
"He's here?! After everything he did?!" Vaggie exclaimed, her fists clenching in anger. "We're not letting him in. No fucking way!"
Charlie could understand Vaggie's frustration, but she couldn't help but feel a twinge of sympathy for Adam. "I don't know, Vaggie. He just looked so... scared. And lonely. I think we should at least hear him out."
"Charlie look, I love that you want see the good in everyone. It's what I love about you, but... are you really considering letting that monster in after what he did to us?" Vaggie questioned.
Charlie said nothing. She just stood there and gave Vaggie an all too familiar look that meant she had made up her mind and wasn't going to change it.
Vaggie sighed in defeat. "Alright... but if he does anything, and I mean anything to hurt you or anyone here, I'm gonna stab him right in his stupid face."
"I'm still out here you know!" Adam called from outside the door, his voice muffled. "Can you let me in before I get fucking stabbed or something?"
Charlie and Vaggie exchanged a glance before opening the door and letting Adam inside. They get a good look at his new demonic form.
"So... I guess you fell, huh?" Charlie stated.
Adam nodded, his expression sheepish. "I guess... I don't know. I just woke up like this after the battle. I have no fucking clue how it happened."
Vaggie scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Figures. You got what you deserved."
Adam shot Vaggie a glare, his eyes narrowing. "You're still as bitchy as ever, huh?"
"And you're still an asshole. Nothing's changed." Vaggie retorted, crossing her arms.
"Okay, that's enough!" Charlie interjected, stepping in between the two. "We can't let our personal feelings get in the way of helping people. I'm willing to put aside my differences with Adam and give him a chance. He needs our help, and I'm not going to turn him away because of what happened in the past."
Adam was surprised by Charlie's kindness and willingness to help him, though he didn't show it. "Whatever, I just came here because I need a place to stay, that's it," he lied.
"Of course, and you're more than welcome to stay here," Charlie said, her voice sincere.
"Well, on one condition," Vaggie added, her arms crossed. "You have to try to redeem yourself, and I mean actually make an effort to be a better person. No more trying to kill demons for your own selfish reasons."
Adam's face twisted in disgust at the thought of being redeemed. "You've got to be kidding me. Do you think I would ever want to become one of you fucking sinners?! No fucking way. I'm not a demon, I'm a fucking angel." He declared, pointing to himself with his thumb.
Vaggie looked at him up and down, raising an eyebrow. "Doesn't really seem like it," she remarked.
Adam sighed in frustration. "Look, I know I look like a sinner, but I'm not. I'm just... temporarily stuck like this, that's all. It'll wear off soon."
Charlie felt a twinge of sadness for Adam. She knew what it was like to feel lost and alone, and she couldn't help but feel bad for him. "Adam... I know it must be hard for you to adjust to this new reality. But if you're willing to give redemption a shot, I promise I'll do everything I can to help you."
Adam huffed, looking away from Charlie. He was getting tired of her goody-two shoes act. "Fine. Whatever. I'll do it. Now can you fucking feed me? I'm starving."
Charlie nodded, her smile returning. "Of course! We were just about to eat lunch. You can join us if you'd like."
Adam rolled his eyes and reluctantly followed Charlie and Vaggie to the dining room. He wasn't thrilled about eating with the demons he had spent his entire life trying to kill, but he didn't have much of a choice.
As they walked into the dining room, all conversation stopped as everyone's eyes landed on Adam.
"Hey everyone!" Charlie greeted cheerfully, trying to ease the tension. "Looks like we have a new resident joining us for lunch. Everyone, this is Adam. He's... um... well, I guess he's a new sinner now."
All the residents were in shock, staring at Adam as if he had just grown a second head.
"What the fuck? How the fuck is he still alive?" Husk asked, his voice filled with disbelief.
"How the tables have turned. It's ironic really." Alastor laughed, his grin widening.
"So wait, lemme get this straight princess. This prick is a demon now, and the first thing you do is invite him to stay here? Are you fucking kidding me? He's the one that killed Pentious!" Angel exclaimed.
Charlie sighed, rubbing the back of her neck. She knew that Angel had a point, but she didn't want to turn Adam away. "I know it's a lot to ask, but I really think he needs our help. He's a sinner now, just like all of you. And I believe in second chances. Besides, he's promised to make an effort to redeem himself."
Lucifer looked at him in stunned silence, his mouth agape. He never thought he'd see his former rival in Hell, and certainly not as a sinner.
Adam said nothing, crossing his arms and looking away. He was embarrassed, humiliated. He knew that the demons were mocking him, that they were enjoying seeing him in this state. He tried to ignore their jeering laughter and taunting words.
"It's kind of hilarious isn't it? The mighty exterminator has fallen," Lucifer chuckled, his grin widening.
"Shut up! Just shut the fuck up!" Adam roared, losing his temper.
"Calm down, Adam," Charlie said, trying to diffuse the situation.
"If you hadn't taken Lilith from me, if you hadn't given Eve that damn fruit! This place wouldn't exist, none of this would be happening right now! We would be living in fucking paradise on earth! But no! You had to fuck everything up! You selfish piece of shit!" Adam yelled, pointing his finger accusingly at Lucifer.
"Woah, lots of pent up aggression. Yeesh," Lucifer commented, taken aback by Adam's outburst. "I will admit, that was my mistake. I gave humans freewill and well... here we are. But... I believe in Charlie's vision of redemption. It's worth a shot, right?"
Adam scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Whatever. Can we just eat now?"
Charlie nodded, leading everyone to the table. As they all sat down, Adam felt a strange sense of discomfort. He was sitting with the very demons he had been trying to destroy for centuries. He knew that he didn't belong here, that he didn't deserve to be here. But he had nowhere else to go.
As everyone started eating, Adam could feel their eyes on him. He knew that they were still wary of him, that they still didn't trust him. But he didn't care. All he cared about was getting through this meal so he could finally be alone and figure out his next move.
The rest of lunch was relatively quiet, with the occasional awkward silence. As everyone finished eating, Adam was relieved to finally leave the dining room and find someplace quiet to be alone. He couldn't stand being around the demons any longer.
As he walked down the hallway, he caught a glimpse of a familiar face in the corner of his eye. He turned to see the short demon staring at him from a distance.
It was Niffty, the crazy cleaning lady who stabbed him. Her one red eye stared at him intensely. She looked like she was contemplating something, like she was deciding whether or not to kill him again.
"You're not gonna stab me again, right? Because that shit really hurt," Adam called out to her, his voice filled with uncertainty.
Niffty didn't reply. She just stood there and continued to stare at him. It made him nervous.
"Alright, I'm gonna go now," Adam said, continuing on his way. "Don't stab me in my sleep or anything, okay? That would be pretty fucked up."
Niffty didn't say a word. She just continued to watch him until he was out of sight. Adam shook his head, unsure of what to make of the creepy little demon. He'd have to keep an eye on her, just in case.
As Adam wandered the halls of the hotel, he tried to keep his mind off of the fact that he had just fallen into Hell and that he was now a demon. He tried to convince himself that he would get out of this and that things would go back to normal.
As he made his way to the common room, he spotted Charlie and Vaggie sitting on a couch together. They appeared to be in a deep discussion about something.
Adam scoffed, rolling his eyes. "What are they talking about? Probably the weather. Or maybe how much they love each other or something."
He was about to walk away when he overheard a bit of their conversation.
"Think about it Vaggie. If we can redeem a fallen angel, then it stands to reason that we can redeem anyone!" Charlie said excitedly.
Vaggie sighed, her expression filled with concern. "I don't know Charlie. I mean, he did try to kill us. I don't know if we can really trust him."
Charlie put a reassuring hand on Vaggie's shoulder. "I know, but we have to give him a chance. He deserves a second chance, just like all sinners do. Besides, I think he's just scared and lonely."
"Well... I guess we could give him a shot. But I'm keeping an eye on him, just in case," Vaggie replied, her expression softening.
Charlie smiled and pulled Vaggie into a tight embrace. "Thank you, Vaggie. I knew you'd come around. You're the best!"
"Yeah yeah, whatever. Just don't expect me to like him. I'm doing this for you," Vaggie grumbled, her cheeks blushing.
Charlie laughed and gave Vaggie a quick kiss on the cheek. "That's all I ask," she said with a smile.
Adam decided he had seen enough and walked away, but just as he was about to turn the corner, he was stopped by a familiar face.
"Adam, hey." Lucifer greeted, approaching him.
Adam jumped, surprised by his presence. "Shit! What the fuck do you want?" He exclaimed.
Lucifer rolled his eyes, unfazed by Adam's rude behavior. "Look, I know we've had our differences in the past, but I want you to know that I'm glad you're here. And I'm willing to put our differences aside if you are."
Adam sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Fine. Whatever. It's not like I have any choice in the matter. I'm stuck here, in fucking Hell, with a bunch of demons. So I guess we might as well get along."
Lucifer smiled and extended his hand. "Glad to hear it. And just so you know..."
His expression changed, his eyes narrowing in a threatening manner.
"If you ever hurt my daughter again, I'll kill you."
Adam laughed nervously, shaking Lucifer's hand. "Noted."
And with that, the two former rivals went their separate ways. But Adam couldn't help but feel that this was just the beginning of his new life in Hell.
