That morning, Marinette brushed her kitty's hair but carefully since his cat ears were on top of his head. His half-human side really made him grow from a kitten to a catman for years along with nine lives.
"Just be grateful you don't have fur on your body. Can you imagine yourself with fur that will one day shed a lot nonstop?" Marinette asked while brushing his hair.
"I do and at least I don't have to lick my fur to cough hairballs. The tail and ears have black fur along with the black fur line on my back spine area" Adrien relaxed a bit.
"Yeah, that's lucky. Though you enjoy fish very much too" Marinette said.
"And milk too. But I really hate eating mice whenever I see one. It drives my cat mode into a frenzy and I still have my pigeon allergies from my human side" Adrien said, hating the fact when he sees a pigeon, it still makes his Cat tendencies hyper.
Marinette giggled at the last time he tried to eat a pigeon, he sneezed a lot, "Well, it was a little funny you had a sneeze fit"
"Ha-ha. So funny" Adrien laughed sarcastically before he had his tail wrapped around her waist.
Marinette chuckled and petted his tail, "Come on, with nine lives you still have your human lifespan" Marinette finished brushing his hair.
"I better keep my nine lives safe" Adrien closed his eyes purring.
"And your cute little claws too. Everyone always thinks you have soft paws rather than feral claws" Marinette held his hands.
"Meow" Adrien pretends to act like a cat, "To them, I'm always a wild cat"
"Heh, yeah" Marinette felt him nuzzle on her.
"Do you ever get tired of how adorable I am?" Adrien purred.
"Nope, you're the cutest boy there is," Marinette said.
"Thanks, Milady," Adrien said.
"You know how many times I took care of you as my kitty?" Marinette scratched his chin.
"A million times" Adrien chuckled.
"And that's what I love about you, kitty," Marinette said.
"I love your kind nature, Princess" Adrien touched her cheek.
"And I love yours, my kitty," Marinette said.
Adrien then held her close, "For so many years of being badasses, I think we are the puuuuurrrrrrrfect duo"
"Indeed we are, Kitty" Marinette kissed him.
"Now let's investigate where a child was last taken," Adrien said before putting on his shirt.
"Of course" Marinette loads her crossbow.
"And be prepared with claws" Adrien extracts his claws and fangs.
"Let's go" Marinette puts on her red jacket with black spots.
"Heh, always your favorite jacket when it comes to being good luck while I'm the bad luck" Adrien chuckled before grabbing his guns.
"We're basically Yin and Yang," Marinette said.
"Exactly. Those witches always get me pissed off by calling me a beast" Adrien said before putting on his black leather jacket.
"Well I'm your ladybug so you have luck on your side" Marinette headed into the woods.
"Meow, that is if you have lady-like manners, my lovely lady" Adrien chuckled.
"Oh, kitty kitty" Marinette shook her head.
Adrien began to sniff for a scent that was left behind and it led to the tree where a child's doll was on the ground.
He picked it up and could smell the child's scent on the doll, "A girl child, possibly 6 or 7 years old, and a little spoiled brat" Adrien described from the scent.
"Oh boy" Marinette didn't like that.
"And the dark spells we faced are definitely a bewitching type to lure a child here without a parent keeping an eye on their child," Adrien said, noticing the tracks that looked like an abduction.
"No kidding" Marinette said.
"We gotta tell the mayor to make sure the parents and adult supervisions pay attention to their kids," Adrien said before taking the doll, "Especially protection too. Rumors have been going around that there are barely any white witches with white magic. It's been rare these past few years, milady"
"Right you are, Adrien," Marinette said.
His ears flicked at the faint noise far away in the woods, "Wait, it's just a deer. Werecat's favorite meal like a wolf"
"Focus on our mission, Kitty" Marinette said.
"I am. Just doing that flight or fight thing to get it together. I hunt witches" Adrien said before getting himself straight with his human instincts instead and trying to focus on investigating with her.
They went deeper into the woods. It wasn't gonna be easy because witches were not interested in grownups like adults but were more interested in hunting defenseless children. Adrien starts crawling on all fours like a cat to be sneaky. Marinette rolled her eyes at how much he does that to become stealthy like panthers and other big cats, it's no wonder his cat tendencies gave him stamina and flexibility.
"You're gonna get dirt on your bare paws," Marinette said.
"I know" Adrien replied.
"Such a poser" Marinette rolled her eyes.
"And adorable like a kitten" He climbed up the tree to get a better view.
He looks around using his night vision in the darkness of the woods. Nothing but critters roaming around at this time of day.
"Nope, nothing yet" He climbs down.
"Oh well" Marinette takes her binoculars out, "It's too predictable, kitty. They know what we are to do next"
"Yes, ambush," Adrien said.
"Are you sure you can't pick up their scent?" Marinette asked.
"Wait, I sense something!" Adrien's cat ears perked.
"It's probably birds or animals you're hearing everywhere," Marinette said, knowing how his hearing he adapted to gets him a little paranoid.
"Damn it!" Adrien scowled.
"Let's head back to town. It's obvious they are wandering around in plain sight. Witches are humans and they are not part monsters but to us they are monsters" Marinette said, knowing that witchcraft was made by humans to learn potions from chemistry, and magic from the gods and then it became witchcraft.
"Ok, Bugaboo," Adrien said.
"Besides, you always enjoy a glass of milk at noon," Marinette said.
"I do" Adrien held her hand.

At the cafe outside, they were chilling, hoping to see if women were trying to sneak up on kids.
"Any second now, Kitty" Marinette quietly sips her tea.
Adrien simply laps milk from his cup like a cat. His green eyes look at both ways as he observes the area, "They are probably putting a spell on themselves to block their scents from me"
"Yeah, the Mayor wasn't kidding," Marinette said, eating a croissant.
"It's rare for them to look normal while hiding their ugly selves," Adrien said before finishing his milk.
"There are many types of witches," Marinette said.
"Those who do voodoos and elements. It's like god powers but they all think it came from the devil himself" Adrien said before munching on fish.
"Yes, and voodoo magic can use corpses like puppets," Marinette said.
"Last time a witch used voodoo magic, it was beyond ugly," Adrien said.
"I still have nightmares about it," Marinette said.
"A witch! Witch! She's taking a child!" The citizens screamed in panic.
"Time for some action, Kitty!" Marinette jumped up from her seat and ran.
"Slow down!" Adrien ran on all fours like a cat.
A shadowy witch that can spook children with shadows moving on its own.
"Get ready" Marinette looks around.
"There! I can hear a child screaming! We need lots of blind light to draw the shadows away!" Adrien ran in that direction.
"Yes!" Marinette ran after him.
"Hey bitch!" Adrien caught the witch's attention, "Let the child go! Now! Before this cat gets really angry!"
"You!" The witch hissed.
"Yeah, all your sisters wanted me as their black cat. Not today but today your ass will be mine!" Adrien said before the child made a run for it due to the witch being distracted.
"You will pay with your life!" The witch then drew her wand.
"Smile!" Marinette cane with a mirror to reflect the sunlight to the witch since shadows can't appear in bright light.
The witch hissed and tried to escape. Adrien jumped on her before wrapping his legs around her neck to immobilize her.
"Now milady!" He tightens his grip.
"Locked and loaded!" Marinette aims at the witch.
The sunlight beam reflecting from the mirror burned the shadowy witch since bright light weakened her shadowy figure.
"I got her now!" Marinette prepares to fire.
She shoots the witch to terminate it and once she's weakened, Adrien holds out a role to tie around her neck and makes a great jump to use the lamppost to hang the witch. Using all his strength he pulled until the witch could no longer breathe.
"Another life to add 10 lives" Adrien smirked.
"Good job, Kitty" Marinette smiled.
"Child saved, witch terminated, and again we are badasses," Adrien said.
"Heh, pound it!" They both fist-bumped.
"Let's get ourselves some cookies and sweets for dessert" Marinette suggested.
"Yeah, or some macaroons" Adrien suggested.
"Good idea, Adrien" Marinette agreed.
"I'm so craving for one, milady," Adrien said before burning the witch to get rid of it, telling everyone to stand back.
They watched as her corpse burst into flames. They all cheered for their heroes for saving another kid.
