"Amanda have you seen anna" peter asked walking out of the courtroom

"Yeah i saw her walking out with liv" amanda said peter made his way to the elevator but mccoy stepped in front of him.

"My office now stone" he said "what were you thinking" he asked as they walked into mccoys office. "You didn't think to tell me how the girl you put on the stand is a girl you have a romantic relationship with." he asked walking behind his desk

"It wasn't a relationship, it was one kiss before I came to New york. I haven't seen her since." Peter said standing across from mccoy.

"Peter, you still should have disclosed it." mccoy said "i should take you off this case. But i'm not going to but you can't reveal anything to anna" he said

"Understood sir." Peter said before walking out of the office.

When Peter walked into the brownstone it was quiet. Peter got used to having two people in the house so it was weird how quiet it was. He walked in and it was clear Anna wasn't there. He pulled out his phone but i went right to voicemail so he tried calling liv

"Hey Peter, what's up." liv asked answering at a whisper

"Hey liv, do you have Anna with you." peter asked

"Yeah, I think she is going to stay with me tonight. Peter today was a lot and she doesn't want to go back to your place right now." liv said that sentence made peters heart sink

"Liv she.. She needs to come back, we need to talk about everything." The second Peter said that their feelings were silly. He regretted it but he knew it would help the jury.

"I just dont think it is a good idea right now. Get some rest peter" liv said before hanging up the phone except Peter couldn't sleep that night. Not knowing the anna wasn't in his house. Not knowing he couldn't protect her. Even though she was with liv he needed her in his house.

The next morning Peter went to annas office but she wasn't there he found out she took the day off to recover from the trial. Peter couldn't focus at all so while he normally stayed late he left right at 5:30 and headed home. As he walked up to his brownstone he could see that the lights were on inside he walked in and saw a couple duffles resting outside Anna's door. "Anna is that you." Peter said, walking into the living room, Anna popped out of her room looking at him. She clearly didn't expect him to be home so early.

"Yeah im just packing my stuff im gonna stay with liv until i find a place." anna said walking back into her room

"What the hell no anna you are staying here" Peter said as Anna picked up the bags and threw them over her shoulder. As she walked past him she looked at him

"Well I wouldn't want my silly feelings changing anything." she said with slight tears in her eyes. While she tried to continue to walk, Peter put his arm out wrapping it around the front of her torso.

"That's not what i meant and you know it" he whispered his face close enough to hers that he could feel her breath on his face.

"And still I look like the young girl who fell for her boss and kissed him. When you know you kissed me that night." and said trying to continue walking but peter continued to hold her

"Anna dont go.." Peter begged as he watched her breath.

"Peter i cant i look ridiculous and i can't stay here.''she said finally pushing threw his arm. As she walked down the steps of peters brownstone peter followed her out. It had started raining since they were in the house. "ANNA STOP THIS." He said yelling half so she could hear him over the rain and half because he was getting upset.

"No peter i can't do this.'' Anna said, turning around walking back up the stairs. As she walked past him he tried to grab her but she ended up slipping on the wet stairs hitting her forehead on the top step.

"ANNA" Peter said, grabbing her instantly grabbing her off the ground he pulled her into his arms. Her forehead was cracked and she wasn't responding to him. Knowing he could get her to the hospital faster he loaded her into his car driving way too fast to the hospital around the corno. "PLEASE SHE NEEDS HELP"Peter yelled carrying her limp body into the doors. Nurses quickly took Anna from his arms.

"Tell me what happened" the male nurse said standing next to peter

"We.. we were outside and she slipped on the stairs." Peter said running his hands threw his now wet hair. "She hasn't woken up since." he continued. The doctor stood in between Peter and Anna's room.

"Okay sir we are gonna need you to stay out here while we work on ." the nurse said before leaving Peter in the waiting room.
