Chapter 26: Welcome to the Underground

It's been about few weeks since the incident at the border of Russia. And the new building to Global was finally built. Anna was running the building while Sean runs the main building. Right now, Spawn was flung across the city while a demon was charge at him, but it was stopped by Cerberus sword/whip. She cracked it to wrapped it around the demon's legs. Spawn rosed back up and shook his head.

"What took you so long?" Spawn asked.

"Sorry, traffic." Cerberus said.

Spawn unsheathed his sword as he charged at the beast. He pierce the monster's skin as it roar out in pain. Spawn jumped back as did Cerberus. The monster rosed back up to its feet. The beast started to roar to unleashed a barrage of shards at the both of them, but Guardian appeared in front of them as he shielded them and the people.

"I'm here to help." Guardian said

The monster was roaring in rage but Wraith came in riding on his motorcycle. He was zipping through the traffic until he used one of the cars as a spring ramp to launch himself towards the monster. He used his daggers to slice the monster in the eye. The monster roar out in pain as it was stumbling around. It was about to stomped on a civilian, but she was saved by Raven who used her magic to levitated girl out of the way.

Terra came in on a floating rock as she used her powers to pulled up shards of rock and hurled it at the monster. The monster used its tail to knocked Terra out of the sky. She screamed as Spawn used his chains to catch Terra.

"My hero." Terra said.

"Funny." Spawn said.

Spawn landed with Terra who was still holding onto him.

"Uh you can let go now." Spawn said.

"Oh right." Terra said.

She was blushing as the rest of the group started to convert to Spawn's and Terra's location. The monster roar at the all of them as blood was leaking from the monster's right eye. Cerberus was looking at Spawn.

"What's the plan here, boss?" Cerberus asked.

"I'm thinking. Got it. Cerberus, you and Wraith take out the legs. Guardian, Pride, you two are with me. Terra and Raven, I gonna need some platforms for the three of us." Spawn said.

"Right." Raven and Terra said.

Terra grunt and raised her hands to the sky as severals earth platforms started to rise up into the air. Raven used her magic to make a soldier black platforms. Wraith and Cerberus were charging at the monster from two sides. They both channeled their power into their weapons and cut their way through the monster's legs. Spawn, Guardian and Pride running towards the platforms and jumped from each other.

The monster fell to the ground while Spawn, Pride, and Guardian were getting higher. The three of them had their weapons ready. Spawn was looking at the both of them.

"You two ready to carb up some demon?" Spawn said.

"Ready." Guardian and Pride said.

They all jumped from the platforms and headed towards the monster. Their weapon collided with the monster until their was great light. The monster head was rolling on the ground. Spawn and his allies were looking walking as the both of the demon's head and body turned to ash. Then news reporters started to head towards the group.

"Spawn, what is your intention for this new group of heroes?"

"Are they part of a new elite team that will rival the Justice League?"

Every reporter asked a lot of questions which Spawn and the others were looking at each other and nodded their heads in agreement. They all started to disappeared along with Raven used her magic to teleport her and Terra away from the reporters.

=== Global Tech ===

Spawn and the others arrived at Global Tech as they transformed back to their normal forms. Alvin sat down in a chair and let out a long sighed as he looked up at his teammates.

"That fight was so intense. I can't take these more demon attacks." Alvin said.

"Well, this is the life of a Hell-spawns Renegades. We have to look over our shoulder to keep an eye out for Malebolgia's minions." Jason said.

"I agree with Jason." David said.

Then the door slide opened as Sean came in and stood next to Cierra who was drinking a bottle of water.

"Well, we I know that we are starting to form a team, but we need a place of our own beside using Global Tech. No offense, Sean." Alvin said.

"None taken. And that's why I am here. I got a place for you guys." Sean said.

The five of them were looking at Sean who was smiling from ear to ear.

=== Few minutes later ===

Alvin and the others were all piled in the truck. Sean was in the driver seat and he was driving like he was carefree. Alvin was looking at his best friend.

"Alright Sean, where are you taking us?" Alvin asked.

"Nuh uh. it's a surprise." Sean said.

Alvin groaned in defeat because Sean kenw that Alvin was impatience. Sean came across and overpass until he pressed a button on the steering wheel. Then the truck disappeared underneath the overpass. Alvin and the others were looking around to see that they were in a tunnel.

When they came out of the tunnel, there was a bunch of lights that was being turn on through motion sensors. They were looking around to see that they were in an underground cavern that was filled with high-tech. Cierra was looking over to see a tall building.

"Whoa!" Everyone said.

"Everyone, welcome to your new home away from home." Sean said.

He park the truck and everyone came out of it and looked around to see the place. Alvin was walking towards the large computer screen, David was walking around to see a large training room, Jason walked into a large hanger bay, Cierra was a large building that was used for housing, and Heinrik was walking into a large garage that would be fill more vehicles. Then they all started to meet up.

"This place is amazing." Cierra said.

"Talk about awesome. We can fill this place with stuff for us." Jason said.

"I agree." Heinrik said.

"This place is amazing dude. But how did get this place fix up for us?" Alvin asked.

"That's simple, this place was once used a long time ago during that Superman attack." Sean said. "A lot folks had lost their home during that attack."

"I see. So, does anyone else knows about this place?" Alvin asked.

"Nope. This place is well hidden after that incident. And now I give to you guys and your future Hellspawn members." Sean said.

"We might need to come up a name for this place." Heinrik suggested.

"Well, how about the Underground." Sean suggested.

"The Underground?"

"Yeah, the underground is a perfect name since you guys are Hellspawns that came from Hell." Sean mentioned.

"I like the name." Alvin said.

"Yeah, easy to remember." Cierra said.

"And it's a perfect hide away." David said.

"I agree." Heinrik said.

"As do I." Jason said.

"Hey maybe we could bring Cagliostro here." Cierra said.

"That's a great idea, but we don't know where he is and that man like to cover his tracks." Jason said.

Alvin placed his hand on his chin until it hit him.

"I might know where he is now." Alvin said.

=== Detroit ===

Cagliostro was sitting at chair as he was reading a book and he closed the book as he sense a presence. He stood up and ready himself. He walked up to the door and open it to see that it was a hooded woman which he quickly let her in.

"We're you follow?" Cagliostro asked.

"No."

The woman removed her hood to reveal a light brown skin woman with long black hair wrapped in ponytail. She had green eyes and Cagliostro was walking towards a chest.

"I am sorry to call you all the way here, Inza. Despite the feud with your husband and the Hellspawn." Cagliostro said.

"He's my ex-husband." Inza said.

"Oh sorry to hear." Cagliostro said.

He was gathering a small chest that was wrapped in chains. He walked over to her and hand this over to her.

"What is this?" Inza said.

"Something that will keep all the other Hellspawn safe." Cagliostro said. "But the successor has been chosen." Cagliostro said.

"But why give it to me?" Inza said.

"I can't trust this anyone else. Fate has been hunting for this for years. And now I feel that the Legion has gotten wind of it as well. Soon, they'll be coming for it." Cagliostro said.

Before Inza could say anything, the candles started to go out. Cagliostro sense the presences of Hellspawns.

"They're here. You must go." Cagliostro said.

Inza put her hood back and on and grabbed the small chest and left the room. SHe was heading out the back of the building and Cagliostro used his magic to seal the doors. He was grabbing a book and sat down. Then suddenly the doors blew open as the legion walked inside.

"This is Ironic to see a Hellspawn taking refuge in a church."

Cagliostro looked up to see the group before he closed the book.

"So, the new Legion. I hope you all are ready to die." Cagliostro said.
