Hey guys. The 3rd dragneel, returning with another guest character for Mortal Kombat 1.
Sorry I forgot to update a new character for the list, but I just got really lazy with January. Mostly because work was very busy that month and I just wanted some rest. But now that I'm back, hopefully we can finish this first pack.
I'm still open to taking requests for some new characters for the future, but I'd rather not have any that are very odd, like Simba from Lion King. Let's try and stick with logical characters, if that makes any sense.
But enough about that. Let's introduce our fourth character! Last time, we had the copycat ninja Kakashi Hatake.
Ladies and gentlemen… Corvo Attano.
Kameo fighter: Meat
If character gets knocked back: Corvo uses his Fold Blade to protect himself as the opponent knocks him back. Getting on one knee, Corvo fixes his mask's optics before they clear up.
If character knocks the opponent back: Corvo pushes the opponent back before hitting them with a Wind Blast. After the opponent recovers, Corvo is seen holding his Fold Blade in a reverse grip while clenching his left hand, showing off his Mark of the Outsider as it glowed.
Kameo fighter entrance: Bloody human parts slowly come together, forming Meat as he raises his fists.
Vs Ashrah
Corvo: Are you associated with Delilah?
Ashrah: No. But I have heard of her crimes.
2nd
Corvo: I know you stare at me with cold eyes.
Ashrah: The mark on your hand seeps with darkness.
3rd
Ashrah: How many have you slain for your Empress?
Corvo: Enough to drag me to hell.
4th
Ashrah: There is much darkness in Dunwall.
Corvo: Hopefully, Emily will bring the light back.
Vs Baraka
Corvo: Your illness reminds me of the Rat Plague.
Baraka: And just like the Tarkatans, your people lock them away to die.
2nd
Corvo: Would you prefer it if I ended your suffering?
Baraka: Were it so simple, I would have joined my family years ago.
3rd
Baraka: Why do you call those affected by the Plague Weepers?
Corvo: Because the Plague causes them pain. Something I would not wish on anyone.

Baraka: Your mask resembles a demon.
Corvo: That was the point. To make others fear.
Vs Corvo Attano
Corvo: What kind of sorcery is this?!
Corvo: The kind that will haunt you.

Corvo: Why are you here?
Corvo: To take your place by Emily's side.

Corvo: You never traveled to Dunwall…
Corvo: No. I am a loyal subject of Serkonos.

Corvo: You didn't save Emily?!
Corvo: The Empire was too rotten. She lost her way.
Vs General Shao
Corvo: Men like you are a plague to society.
General Shao: Without me, Outworld would've fallen ten times over!

Corvo: Even the Outsider will show you no mercy.
General Shao: Do I seem concerned, Attano?

General Shao: Assassins. You're all cowards.
Corvo: Before I dawned this mask, I too was a soldier.

General Shao: Dunwall needs new leadership.
Corvo: You are as much of a snake as Burrows was.
Vs Geras
Corvo: Is there a timeline where Jessamine was spared?
Geras: I cannot disclose that information.

Corvo: How have you not lost your sanity after living so many lives?
Geras: After centuries, the pain has dulled.

Geras: Your choices affect the future of Dunwall.
Corvo: I am aware, Geras.

Geras: The Outsider's Brand continues to grow.
Corvo: His followers must be stopped at all cost.
Vs Havik
Corvo: What sort of demon are you?
Havik: The kind who had broken his eternal shackles!

Corvo: Havelock believed in freedom as well.
Havik: Unlike that gutless fool, I will succeed.

Havik: Why stay loyal to Dunwall after everything that's happened?
Corvo: Jessamine would want me to honor her memory.

Havik: Hehehehe. You too have a monstrous face.
Corvo: Yet I still retain some honor.

Corvo: Why should I enter this 'Cage Con?'
Johnny: Are you kidding? That mask alone'll sell like hotcakes!

Kitana: That remains to be seen, Earthrealmer.

Corvo: Your mother's treatment of Tarkat will only lead to destruction.
Kitana: She has done what she needs to do.

Kitana: If only more Outworlders were as loyal as you.
Corvo: There may still be hope, princess.

Corvo: Were I given the choice you had, leaving Jessamine would be difficult.
Liu Kang: I still regret leaving Kitana.

Mileena: I will not allow another disease to harm my people.

Corvo: She's done well. But I will continue to protect her.

Corvo: I am a bodyguard, not an assassin for hire.
Vs Nitara
Corvo: And here I assumed the Brigmore Witches were terrible.
Nitara: My magic is far deadlier than those pretenders.

Corvo: Were you cursed by the Outsider as well?
Nitara: Vaternians are born superior to humans.
3rd
Nitara: The blood in your city is tainted.
Corvo: It seems the reports of a winged monster are true.

Nitara: Give me your power!
Corvo: I would rather be eaten my rats than allow them.
Vs Omni-Man
Corvo: I could never harm Emily the way you harmed your son.
Omni-Man: Then your resolve is as weak as your body.

Corvo: All these years, you've never once fallen in love?
Omni-Man: I have. But if I held onto it, Thragg could use her to his advantage.
3rd
Omni-Man: Your world needs real leadership.
Corvo: From a compassionate empress. Not a tyrannical monster.

Omni-Man: Hahahaha. That toothpick won't hurt me.
Corvo: Then I will feed you to the rats.
Vs Quan Chi
Corvo: Even the rats in Dunwall are cleaner than you.
Quan Chi: Your loyalty blinds you.

Corvo: Had we found you as a child-
Quan Chi: Your soul would have been mine.

Quan Chi: Jessamine begs for you.
Corvo: Why do you have her soul? TELL ME!

Quan Chi: My magic far outclasses yours.

Corvo: But the corruption runs deep. Even I cannot stop it all.

Corvo: Your eyes remind me of Daud.
Rain: Is that pity or anger in your voice?

Corvo: Why would you associate yourself with a rat like Shang Tsung?
Rain: I truly thought he was doing what was best for the princess.
3rd
Rain: So, the Empress sends an assassin after me?
Corvo: Empress Mileena didn't. Empress Emily wishes to help you.

Rain: I know my crimes. And I want only to repent.
Corvo: Prove it then.
Vs Reiko
Corvo: I had heard of warriors like you in the east.
Reiko: Unlike you humans, Outworlders are far more superior.
2nd
Corvo: While I respect your loyalty to Shao, you are blind to his tyranny.
Reiko: Remind me, who spent a year locked away while weaklings ruled their kingdom?
3rd
Reiko: Show me the strength of the masked killer.
Corvo: Don't beg for your life when my blade touches your throat.

Reiko: An old man like you should retire.
Corvo: This 'old man' will end your life.
Vs Reptile
Corvo: I shall hunt Shang Tsung for your family.
Reptile: We shall hunt him together, Attano.

Corvo: Your ability is so… different.
Reptile: Says the man who can summon a swarm of rats and teleport in the blink of an eye.
3rd
Reptile: If your Empress prefers it, the Zatarian can help reduce the number of rats in your city.
Corvo: I would rather not lose you to the Plague, Syzath.

Reptile: Besides commanding rats, do you-
Corvo: No. I don't transform into a rat, Syzoth.
Vs Scorpion
Corvo: Betrayal is never easy.
Scorpion: You know this more than anyone, I take it?

Corvo: Allow me to test my blade against yours.
Scorpion: It would be my honor, friend.

Scorpion: Do you have any advice on how to care for Hanzo?
Corvo: Train him, but do not forget to show him compassion.

Scorpion: I encountered a man with similar powers to yours.
Corvo: Hmmm. It seems Daud has reemerged.
Vs Shang Tsung
Corvo: You are truly the scum of this world.
Shang Tsung: Yet you are the one the people fear the most.

Corvo: How many lies will you tell before the truth comes out?
Shang Tsung: Hahahaha. Too many.

Shang Tsung: Researching the Outsider might provide some interesting discoveries.
Corvo: The only thing you will discover is a curse.

Shang Tsung: Would you like to see Jessamine's face one last time?
Corvo: Do not use her for your own benefit, sorcerer.
Vs Sindel
Corvo: Locking away those affected by Tarkat only breeds chaos.
Sindel: Yet your people did the same for the Plague.

Corvo: As a father, I understand the need to protect Mileena.
Sindel: You're fortunate Emily hadn't been infected.

Sindel: Can your daughter truly live up to Jessamine's vision?
Corvo: I will ensure she follows her heart, not greed.

Corvo: Then we must work together to prevent any more fatalities.
Vs Smoke
Corvo: Truthfully, I envy your ability to transform.
Smoke: You can freeze time! That's more impressive.

Corvo: If you are to help lead the Shirai Ryu, you need to improve.
Smoke: I'm not a new initiate, you know.
3rd
Smoke: You disappeared in a blink! How?
Corvo: The mark on my hand has its uses.
4th
Smoke: Could I… wear your mask?
Corvo: I'd rather you not damage it, Tomas.
Vs Sub-Zero
Corvo: Your arrogance knows no bounds.
Sub-Zero: Is that jealousy I hear in your voice?

Corvo: The Lin Kuei are not welcome in Dunwall.
Sub-Zero: If the Whalers could infiltrate your city, the Lin Kuei won't have any issue.
3rd
Sub-Zero: Killing Kaldwin will boost the Lin Kuei's reputation.
Corvo: I promise you that you won't lay a finger on Emily.
4th
Sub-Zero: You're nothing but a beaten down rat.
Corvo: At least I know where my loyalties land.
Vs Tanya
Corvo: Thank you for training Emily.
Tanya: She must learn to protect herself.
2nd
Corvo: No matter what, never leave Empress Mileena's side.
Tanya: I would lay down my life for her.
3rd
Tanya: I had heard tales of the Brigmore Witches.
Corvo: Delilah may be gone, but don't let your guard down.

Tanya: Your black magic will not harm the Empress.
Corvo: Mine or yours, Tanya?
Vs Wolverine
Corvo: You've lived for so many years…
Wolverine: And lost just as many people.
2nd
Corvo: No one is unkillable.
Wolverine: You've never fought a mutant before.
3rd
Wolverine: Know a jackass named Slackjaw? He owes me a cigar.
Corvo: You need better friends, Logan.
4th
Wolverine: Thought you were a teleporter like the elf.
Corvo: My mark does more than allow me to teleport.
After Titan saves the character from the evil Kombat kids
Corvo: Your help is most appreciated, Kitana.
After Liu Kang's "And they called me the Chosen One" speech
Corvo: The battle is far from over. We must end this armageddon.
Fatal Blow(Tanya): Corvo's mark begins to glow brightly before he uses Blink, appearing behind the opponent before stabbing them through the back and pushing them forward. Meat walks in and grabs the opponent by the shoulder and headbutts them, causing the opponent to fall on the ground. Meat jumps in the air and body slams the opponent, shattering their ribs as they're forced back up. Corvo takes out his crossbow and fires five shots, two of which pierce through the opponent's eyes. Using Blink, Corvo appears behind them before stabbing his Fold Blade into the side of their neck, destroying their jugular before he kicks them away.
Victory pose: Corvo spins his sword as it folds back into the handle. Clenching his left hand as the mark of the Outsider glows, Corvo disappears via Blink. Meat reaches into his chest and pulls out his heart before crushing it, blood splattering on him.
Fatalities
Don't feed the rats(Liu Kang): Corvo draws out his pistol before firing two shots, taking out the opponent's knees. Once they fall on their back, Corvo uses his mark and summons a swarm of rats. The rodents rush towards the opponent, eating their flesh as they scream in agony. Tearing the opponent's stomach open, one of the rats climbs inside, causing the opponent to gag before the same rodent bursts out of their face.
Blink of an eye(Kitana): Corvo uses his Mark to freeze time. Using Blink, Corvo teleported around, firing multiple bolts from his crossbow at the opponent. Time returns to normal as the opponent is pierced by the bolts, with two of them skewering their eyes. They scream in pain before Corvo cuts off their head, blasting it in the air with Windblast. As the head falls down, Corvo draws his pistol and blows up the head with an explosive bullet.
Kameo fatality(Meat)
Stomach problem(Havik): Corvo steps to the side as Meat marches toward the opponent, tearing off a piece of his stomach. Forcing the opponent's mouth open, Meat shoved the discarded part of him inside. The opponent gags, holding their stomach in pain. Soon, their stomach explodes, with their entrails spilling on the ground before the opponent falls down.
Ending
"I always assumed the Rat Plague and Delilah's coupe were the worst things to happen to Dunwall. To me. To Emily. But then a strange gate appeared in front of me, forcing me away from my daughter." *Shows Corvo being dragged into one of Shang Tsung's portals, with multiple skeletons grabbing onto him as Emily calls out to her father.* "I believed it was another tyrant, using some strange magic to rule Dunwall once again. But it was much, much stranger."
*The next scene shows Corvo clashing blades with an evil version of Kenshi.* "Fighting a large battle is nothing new to me, but knocking that Emily was left all alone… I had to return home. After shedding so much blood, I was able to find a way back to Dunwall. Only… Shang Tsung's forces had already invaded."
*The last scene shows Corvo and Emily fighting side by side with Liu Kang's Champions in the streets of Dunwall against several possessed Weepers.* "Fortunately, Liu Kang sought to help me and Emily defend our home. It has already been destroyed twice. For my daughter and memory of her mother, I will make sure to bring Shang Tsung's head to Emily. No one will take anything from my family again."
Man, writing this chapter makes me wanna go back to playing Dishonored and even continue the sequel. We REALLY need a third game to finish off the trilogy(I don't really count the Death of the Outsider).
Fun fact: in college, I was actually writing down an idea for a Dishonored live action TV show. Obviously, I doubt it could be made. But with how successful video game adaptations have gotten over the last few years, maybe I should give it a shot.
Before you guys go off in the reviews, I was considering having Daud or Emily as the Kameo fighter. But I honestly felt they should become fully fledged fighters, hence why they were cut. And I didn't choose Delilah cause… no.
As for why I chose Meat… just cause. He is a really weird character and I thought it would be fun to include him.
