School's Out

Loki infiltrates Patty's school. Nuff said.

Also THANK YOU SO MUCH FENRISSONOFLOKI! I was totally going to pull in multiverse Loki's and Spiders! And maybe even the TVA! But I'm planning on doing that a lot later. You're my first review and I love you forever!

So here we go…

Patty POV:

It was the beginning of a normal day at school. Meaning that I forgot my lunch and was shoved into a locker by Flash.

I sighed, extracted myself and went on to my first class: Economics.

I hate econ. Soooooooooooo muuuuuuuuuchhhhhhhh….

Anyway, there I was, minding my own business, when I saw Mr. Loki.

Dressed like a teacher.

Holding an economics book.

Oh boy…

" Uh, Mr. Loki? Are you impersonating a teacher?"

"Yes."

"Oh. OK."

There really didn't seem to be much to say after that. I like Mr. Loki a lot, but I knew now that he does what he wants, and simple pleading is not going to change his mind.

But I perked up. He'd probably give me easy homework!

The class was fine, actually, and no one but me seemed to notice the absence of our regular teacher. Gotta love magic.

After the class was over I lingered.

"Well, that was incredibly boring. Why do mortal schools not teach something entertains, like knife throwing?"

He snapped his fingers and the white board was immediately erased.

"Wow! That was neat!"

"Truly?"

"Of course it was! Magic's so cool!"

He smiled. Mr. Loki apparently didn't get a lot of respect or awe for his magic. Which is weird, it's amazing!

He shrugged and his clothes changed to jeans, a green T-shirt, and white Nikes.

"But that was even neater."

A student ID appeared out of nowhere. OK, that was never going to work.

"Uh, Mr. Loki, you don't really look like a teenager."

As soon as I said that he…de-aged. Suddenly he looked like a teenager. Which was really weird, enough for me to get an existential crisis, almost.

"That is equal parts cool and weird."

Loki POV:

How on Midgard could she stand being cooped up in this wretched place five days a week? The smell alone! Allfather.

But she is far too nice and kind a person to be troubled by such things. And even if she was she would never show it, for fear of causing someone trouble.

The mead hall, or rather cafeteria, even beat Asgard for disgustingness. I was appalled. And I have seen a lot.

Patty POV:

I should have seen it coming. Really, I should have. But my Spidersense doesn't always go off unless I'm in actual physical danger. So I got hit in the face by some mashed potatoes.

I sighed and wiped it off. Flash again. Why is it always Flash? Doesn't he have something better to do, like make a corny livestream? Mr. Loki was staring at him in a way that I did not like at all. My Spidersense began to tingle.

Oh dear.

"What're you looking at, dork?" Flash scoffed.

Mr. Loki blinked innocently. "Just wondering what you'd look like as a corpse."

Not good. Not good at all. It got less good when Mr. Loki punched him in the face.

It took all my super strength to pull them apart.

"It's OK, Mr. Loki he does stuff like that all the time! It's fine!" Mr. Loki stared at me. "You mean that lout torments you on a regular basis?" He was this close to blasting Flash into another galaxy when school security arrived.

And that's when I found myself in the Principle's office. I could feel myself blushing. Flash whimpered a bit. Crud, his face looked messed up.

The Principle sighed. "All students should know that I do nod tolerate physical altercations of any kind whatsoever, and"

"SILENCE MORTAL!" Mr. Loki yelled, jumping up and slamming his hands on the desk.

"YOU DARE TO LAY HANDS ON ME, LOKI, A PRINCE OF TWO REALMS? YOU DARE TO PERMIT THIS WORM TO EXIST IN MY PRESENCE? YOU DARE TO ALLOW THE ABUSE OF ONE OF MY FAVORED ONES?"

He gestured dramatically at me. I wanted to die.

"YOU SHALL ALL BURN!"

Flames exploded all around the room.

This was it. I was gonna die. I could never come back here again. I should just run away to Chile. And dig ditches. Change my name. Get plastic surgery.

Abruptly, Mr. Loki left, and I followed him, not knowing what else to do.

"I am so screwed." I whispered. Mr. Loki smirked. "Not at all. None of those people shall remember what happened in there. But Flash will stay away from you for a while."

Oh. OK, not going to have to move to Chile after all.

But I had one last question on my mind.

"Why did you come today, Mr. Loki?"

"I was bored."

Oh. OK.

Loki POV:

That was not the whole answer.

I also came because I had heard she was bullied.

And also because I missed her.

But I'd rather be tortured in Helheim than to ever admit that to anyone.

So yay!
