Well, RGQC here, and I am back with another chapter for you all to enjoy! Now, after this chapter, this story will take a different term. But let us just say that things will get...
Interesting.
That is all I will say, my dear readers. :)
BrimazKing: Ikr! I loved writing the fluff involving them, with almost everyone seeing their clear attraction no matter how much they wanted to deny it. As for Bianca, her role will be different, is all I will say.
Singular Ash: Ha! That's new, and yeah, kind of a r/confidentlyincorrect moment you have. Trust me, I was baffled by the strange ass biology Faunus seemed to have. If only RT would explain it further. I'll consider your words, and my grammar is sometimes poor. I'll do my best to make future chapters run better!
Fenrir's Fang96: What would a mother be if she's not trying to find ways to embarrass her child? Oh, don't worry. Jade will be the best brother he can be to his adorable little sister! It's a shame about her disabilities, but not like that should hold her back. And… I suggest you keep reading to see Jade's progress.
RealSteal: Thanks! I'm happy you're enjoying it, and I will provide more!
Chrome Fate: Huh… That is an interesting idea for Jade's weaponry. I'll write it down in my notes.
DragonL0RD: Thanks!
Now with the comments out of the way, let's get this chapter on the road! I think you'll like what I have in stall for you all.
As with all my other stories, I do not own RWBY. Only my OCs are in this story, while the rest of RWBY belongs to Rooster Teeth.
Also, sensitive stuff near the end of this chapter. So reader discretion is advised!
"No! Stop it, mummy!" Jade moaned with his hands over his ears while hiding underneath his blanket while his mother giggled not too far from him. It had only been a few hours since he returned home and witnessed his little sister for the first time, and some semblance of normalcy had returned during that time.
Well… as much normalcy as one can get while in the middle of a teasing session.
While Amranth had only recently learned from Kali what had happened in the morning, it did not take long for her to tease her adorable kitten over it. After all, how could she not after seeing several photos from Kali of her adorable kitten sleeping comfortably while hugging Blake with a smile?
They look so cute together, and it has become something of a topic of discussion in Kou Kanna. Yes. Throughout the years, there has been a talking point among Amranth's friends or patients about her kitten's apparent closeness to the Chieftain's daughter. Some even suggest that from how they were rarely if never, seen apart, it only makes sense that they liked each other.
Of course, it's an entirely different story when it comes to asking them about their relationship, as they would deny it and only say that they were best friends. But as expected, not many believed their words as their actions say otherwise.
Even with building evidence that they're attracted to one another.
"But after you've done last night? I could not think otherwise?" Amranth smiles while giggling at her kitten, letting out another groan while still underneath his blanket. "You look so happy with her in your arms. Do you know that, Jade? If I were to look at this from an outsider's perspective, I would have thought you are in a romantic relationship with her."
Jade's mother pauses for a second. "Not that I disapprove of it. In fact, I would support it!" Amranth chuckles at the sight of Jade whining again.
"Noooo…"
"Now, dear, I believe it is best to leave our kitten alone. I think he has enough teasing for now." Melo appears through a door with little Bianca sleeping in his arms while wrapped up in a red blanket.
"Aww… Can't I have more time to have fun with our kitten? I mean, how can I not when he was sleeping with Blake like this?" Amranth points out before showing the photo of their son sleeping with their friend's daughter on her scroll. "Kali caught them doing this in the morning if you were wondering."
"Oh." Melo found himself at a loss of words as he peeked behind his dear wife to see his son peeking out of his blanket with his eyes begging him to make it stop. "That explains it. But are you trying to push for them to get together?" As if she had the gall to do that, Amranth gave her husband a sheepish grin.
"Maybe?" Melo instantly sighs while shaking his head. Though he still has a smile on his lips.
"I won't lie. Knowing how close they were, I can see why you're pushing for them to get together. It's a bit early for my taste, but I understand. They do look quite perfect for each other." Melo admits before their son cries out.
"Mom! Dad! I'm right here!" Jade says in despair before Amranth gently takes Bianca from her husband and holds her close.
"I'll take over watching Bianca, dear. I need to feed her again. It's been hours since she was fed hours ago. After that…" She yawns. "I think I'll take a nap. I still haven't fully recovered after giving birth to her, and some sleep does sound nice to have."
"Fair enough." Melo shrugs as Amranth leaves the room with little Bianca in hand.
"I wonder how your friend is doing?" He wonders out as Jade's cheeks blush.
Meanwhile…
"Mom! Cut it out, please!"
Blake cried out while hiding underneath her blanket and on her bed, just like Jade. While her mother was sitting on the side of it, openly giggling at her. "Why would I? You look so cute with him holding you in his arms! And from your smile, having someone hugging you like that must have felt good. Am I right?"
Kali asks with the slyest grin she has ever given while her daughter groans again. "Ughhhh…" Blake buries her face into her bed, though it strikes her that she's at the corner of her where Jade slept due to his scent entering her nose. Yet, she cannot deny that there isn't any truth to her mother's words.
As much as she denies it, there was this sense of attraction she had for Jade. Blake couldn't help but think how she had known him all her life, and neither was seen away from the other unless certain situations prevented them, just like her numerous overseas trips to the other kingdoms beyond her home.
And how both she and he missed one another constantly should either one be missing for whatever reason.
Blake remembers the event in the morning, and the thought alone reddened her cheeks. She remembered how happy and comfortable she was in Jade's arms. Even denying it did nothing to hide that she enjoyed having her best friend's arm wrapped around her. Then again, Jade was nice to snuggle against with his unnatural warmth against the cold breeze last night.
"You're thinking of him, are you?" Blake's ears perked when she heard her mother's words, which sounded more like a statement than a question. "There's no harm in thinking of him like that, dear. Even if you think it's gross for whatever reason. And now that I think about it, I never told you how I met your father." Kali hums as her daughter slowly turns towards her while still clinging to her blanket tightly.
Her smile was on her face as Kali reminisced about her youth with Ghira. "Yes... How about I tell you about how I met him?" Kali asked as all she got was a slight nod from her daughter, through her eyes showing interest despite her reluctance. With her hand, she beckons her daughter to come close, and she does as Blake sits next to her mother without uttering a sound.
With a smile, Kali tells how she met Ghira in her youth as her daughter sits quietly and listens.
Jade POV
"Hah… I'm tired." I couldn't help but groan as my best friend agreed with a simple nod and tired look after another round of training by my father. It had been a week since my little sister Bianca was born and… I didn't have good sleep. She kept crying every four hours after mummy fed her! She would even start crying in the middle of the night and waking up everyone in the house.
Yes, mummy did what she could, and Bianca usually fell asleep after she was attended to.
But that still didn't change the fact that it ruined my sleep, and at one point, her crying made me unable to sleep for the whole night. It… is stressful and takes time to get used to my little sister's crying. But even so, she's so cute! I even got to hold her that once and see her red eyes looking at me. I think they are pretty, but she began crying instantly when she saw me.
I thought for a moment she disliked me, but Mummy quickly assured me that my little sister did not recognise me with her eyes still developing, and I was still a stranger at this point. I, uh, felt a bit stupid because, for a moment, I thought my sister didn't like me.
And she is only a week old!
"You did well for today, both of you." My father says as Blake and I brought our weapons down from our spar. It was intense because he ordered us to keep fighting for minutes straight, and I'm so tired now! I just wanna go home, take a shower and sleep!
At the same time, I noticed my best friend has been giving me strange looks since we… slept together on her bed last week. But occasionally, whenever I looked at her, I would catch her glancing at me before turning her head away with her cheeks red. It did not help that I would notice that she would bite her lips.
As if she was nervous over something.
But whenever I asked her what was wrong, she would give me no proper answer.
Strange…
"Thanks, Daddy," I mutter as we walk towards where we keep all our wooden weapons. "I'm tired." I groan out next before my father nods his head.
"I get you kiddo. You and Blake have been putting in the effort, and I simply wish to do as much as possible before we leave to see your mother's mother in three weeks." My father explains while I nod my head. I think I understand why he's pushing us harder. From the corner of my eye, Blake seemed to pause momentarily as if something hit her.
Her ears were also facing the side and twitching.
I wonder what she is thinking right now.
"Well then, I'll leave you two to handle yourself. I got to check on your mother and sister. See you at home." And with that, my father departed, leaving Blake and me alongside a crowd that quickly dispersed. With our lessons over, I glanced at my best friend as her eyes faced mine. They appeared to shine with the sunset behind her, and the sea breeze blew her hair.
And I felt myself in awe at the scene involving my best friend. Was she always this pretty, or is it just me?
"Jade?" Blake called out to me. Oh no! I think I just lost myself for a moment! I felt my cheeks burning as I glanced away from her! What's going on within me, and what's with this feeling in my heart? Is that the feeling of love mummy told me before? But I see Blake more like a best friend! Not that! I blame Aunt Kali for putting both of us in the same bed and making me feel weird around her!
"Jade? Are you alright?" I heard my best friend calling out to me again, this time with concern, her hand resting on my shoulder.
"I'm fine. Just… tried." I say while turning to see her eyes again. "Daddy pushed us hard, yeah?"
I watch as my best friend gives me a raised eyebrow before she agrees with me. Diversion success! "Yes. I think we're both tired. How about we get juice first?" Oh juice! Mmm… oh, I know what will be nice to have.
"Papaya milk?" I suggest as my best friend perks up from my suggestion.
"Yeah! Good idea!" I couldn't help but giggle at my best friend's enthusiasm as she blushed in response.
And so Blake and I left the training field to buy some papaya milk and find a spot to rest as the sun set over the horizon. To think that in a few weeks, I, too, will learn what lies beyond Kou Kanna. Yes, I had heard of Blake's and Velvet's experience with the kingdoms overseas, but the coming weeks will be the first time I will see them with my own eyes and not through someone's words.
I can't wait for it!
Yet… there's this sense of longing I'm feeling…
It's hard to explain, but that same part of me that made me who I am and is likely responsible for my flashbacks and intelligence wants to see the world beyond Menagerie, which I learned years back that it was called that because of what humans feel about us named this continent reservation for us.
What a bunch of meanies.
"Where do you think you are going to go?" My best friend asks me as my ears perk at her voice before glancing at her. Where am I going? Now that I think about it, I never asked where we would see my grandmother.
Huh… I should really ask her when I get the chance. I think later I'll do it.
Feeling heat gathering on my cheeks over my failure to check exactly where my grandma stays with mummy, I glance to the side before looking at my best friend in her eyes. "Uh… I don't know?" I felt my body shrink at her baffled gaze as I continued. "I didn't ask mummy where grandma stays at…"
And I know! I should have asked her that as soon as she told me a week ago!
But instead of remaining silent at my confession, Blake simply giggled before I felt her ruffling my hair and her fingers touching my ears.
Eh?! Blake?
"Hehehe! You're so cute when you're acting like this!" She giggles even more while I feel myself frozen by her words. Did she call me cute? As in cute cute? Uh… uhm… Well… I mean, I… uh… Mummy did call me cute before, and I can't help but wonder if my best friend called me cute in the friend way or the lovey-dovey cute kind of way.
I mean… I wouldn't mind it at all, but… I should say something.
"You think I'm cute?"
No! That's not what I wanted to say to her!
Stupid me!
I felt my body tense as Blake realised what she said to me and blushed. "I… well… uh… I mean…" I could only simply watch as my best friend stumbles through her words as she glances aside with her ear twitching occasionally. Even then, I feel my throat tighten as the scene of her acting like this makes me giggle and blurt out.
"Hehe… I think you're cute too."
"Uh oh." I felt my cheeks beginning to burn while Blake froze in stunned silence and wasn't any better than me as we found ourselves staring into each other's eyes while still holding our papaya milk. I don't know how long we stared at each other's eyes as the sea breeze blew against us, but I was the first to break off after being distracted by her.
"I… uhm… I think we're just tired. Right?" I blinked after breaking away from her.
"Yeah. I think so… I think we should finish this up and go to sleep."
…
…
"Jade. Do you really mean it?" I heard my best friend ask me as I looked at her. Should I say that she's cute again? I don't wanna affect how we see each other and stuff, but… Is that what I want? I… I don't know, to be honest.
Gah! Emotions are annoying to deal with!
"I do. I really think you are cute to me." I found myself saying out again as her cheeks turned red again. As if to hide myself from my embarrassment, I closed my eyes for a moment. I… what am I even doing anymore?! It feels like I'm digging a deeper hole for myself to be in…
Thoughts of all kinds ran through my head as I tried to come up with something. It's just something to remove my thoughts from how I see Blake. But they were interrupted when I felt her lips against my cheek! She's kissing me again! Like that other time! I blink in surprise as I feel my heart pumping even faster, and I think it's about to explode at this rate!
Blake sat closer to me with a smile as she suddenly wrapped her arms around my body! Ah! Blake! What are you doing?! Are… Is she hugging me like this? What am I to do? I can feel her head resting and nuzzling against my arm.
It's strange that this hug feels nice…
and different…
"Nnn… I had a talk with mummy a while back." Uh… Blake? Where is this going?
As if knowing what I was thinking of, she continues. "She told me how she met my Daddy and their adventures together at our age." Aunt Kali and Uncle Ghira? I never knew their background at all besides them ruling over Kou Kanna as Chieftess and Chieftain. Now, I'm curious what they were like in their youth.
"What kind of adventures?" I couldn't help but ask as Blake stopped hugging me. Though… strangely, a part of me longs for her hug again. I don't understand, but I am unsure if I can get used to this feeling…
Blake simply smiles with her eyes sparkling from the sunset. "They both were born here but travelled the world together! They've been to the dry sands of Sanus to see the kingdom of Vacuo and the lush lands of Vale! They have even been to the lands of Anima and seen trees that bloom in pink flowers! Oh oh! They have even been to Argus with buildings that tower to the skies!"
I felt a gentle smile creep onto my face as I watched Blake tell tales of her parents' adventure overseas. I still don't understand, but her smile makes me feel fuzzy inside. And if I could wish for something, I want this moment to last forever. Just me and Blake enjoying life together, yeah?
Sure, I've heard horrible things from the tales told by my best friend of the outside world and the discrimination against us by humans. But… a part of me wants to believe that not everyone is bad and that we can build a better future without all this hatred over who we are!
Just as everyone here in Kou Kanna works together to live peacefully!
Yes… A dream worth reaching for!
The next three weeks pass like a calming breeze, but as it is with life, everything moves on. Jade has finally learned that he is headed to a town in the Kingdom of Mistral called Mugunghwa. It is a predominantly human-run society with the occasional Faunus residents living in it.
(RGQC here just to add some stuff in. Mugunghwa's scientific name is Hibiscus syriacus, which, fun fact, is also the national flower of South Korea. One more thing, it is pronounced Mu-gung-hwa. Okay, bye!)
Another thing was that the Mugunghwa was located north of Anima, which meant that it would be cold up there compared to the tropical region Jade was used to. He cannot lie. He had always wondered what snow was like, and this trip would be exciting to see for the first time! Of course, Blake was slightly jealous of her best friend and definitely not a crush, and had the chance to see snow for the first time, unlike her.
But Blake knows that there will always be the same chance to see snow in the future.
And speaking of Blake crushing on Jade after the recent talk that resulted in both of them calling each other cute, both cat Faunuses have begun to act even closer than before behind closed doors. Still, being the mothers of both of them, Amranth and Kali immediately picked up the signs that something changed between the two of them.
Though both kittens have kept their mouths shut and swore never to say a word, a mother's intuition over their child proves enough to predict what had recently happened between the two of them. And, of course, Kali laid claim that her actions to get both children to sleep in the same bed caused this sudden change in their relationship. As for Amranth, she's happy about the change but has been busy tending to Bianca most of the time while still on maternity leave.
The little bird Faunus has earned quite the attention of everyone in Kou Kanna, and many have visited her and Amranth. Most were simply curious about the rumours of a white single-winged bird Faunus recently born by Amranth. Of course, once confirmed to be true, many of them offered their sympathies to Amranth and her daughter. Some bird Faunuses even volunteer to help her in their spare time, which she accepts.
Others point out how uncanny Bianca looks due to her pure white hair, which reminds many of the Schnees in Atlas and their poor treatment of their people as employees. Which Amranth offer no comments on. Her daughter is no Schnee and just has a few 'quirks' as she calls them.
Even more so, the superstitious amongst them call Bianca's white and one-winged nature an omen that something terrible will eventually happen to the Grayson family in the future. As expected, Amranth was offended by them calling her baby girl a bad omen since the very idea that Bianca was born as a symbol of bad luck was absurd.
And many agreed with her.
Nevertheless, the day has come when the Grayson family will depart for Mugunghwa, which will take a week or so to reach by sea, followed by a day's worth of travel by airship. Of course, Melo, Amranth, Jade, and little Bianca were dressed up for the occasion and ready to leave in the afternoon. But before that happens, they decide to visit the Belladonnas at Kali and Blake's insistence before they leave for their trip.
And so, everyone had a wonderful meal of rice, vegetables and fish while Blake looked like she wanted to say something to Jade, who sat beside her. "Jade?" Blake whispers as her best friend looks at her with his ears perked up.
"Yeah, Blake? Need something?"
Knowing she now had his attention, the little cat Faunus could only scratch her head while glancing to the side as if she wasn't sure how to say it. Understandably, this didn't go unnoticed by the adults in the room, who softened their talking to see what they would do next.
Except for Kali and Amranth.
Both mothers had a sly grin growing before Blake finally spoke while adorably tapping her index fingers together. "I uhm… I want to give you something before you go." She mutters adorably while Jade simply tilts his head with interest. What is it that she wants to give him now?
"Uh… let me go get it!" Blake zipped off from the dining while Jade sat still and blinked at his best friend's sudden action while Kali and Amranth giggled softly in the background. However, Jade picked it up, dryly turned his head, and stared at his mother and Aunt Kali.
"It's part of their plan again. Isn't it?" The little cat Faunus thought before Blake returned with a purple scarf wrapped in a nice bundle.
"Here!" Blake says as she sits beside Jade and presents the scarf to him. Overall, it is a handmade scarf made out of wool and coloured mostly in purple with gold and white woven into patterns that Jade couldn't help but admire.
"Where… where did you get this… It's beautiful." Jade could only utter in awe while slowly unravelling the silk scarf to its full length. As for Blake, she felt stunned to hear Jade indirectly complimenting her work and felt her heart shoot up. Yes, in less than a month, Blake had worked hard with her mother to create something for Jade, and while it did take numerous tries, she managed to get the hang of it and complete it in the nick of time.
"I made it," Blake shyly admits as Jade's eyes widen in surprise. Funny, throughout her life with him, this is one of the few times he has ever shown surprise over something. It turns out Jade was not one to show his surprise reactions unless it really caught him off guard, which Blake learned while growing up with him. "Well… mummy helped me as well." She admits with her eyes on her mother, who gives her a thumbs up while everyone else glances at her.
Also, Bianca is there in Amranth's arms and doing what newborn babies do best, which is sleeping all the time.
"Oh… I mean… Wow… This is… Thank you. I'll cherish this." Jade, for the most part, was speechless about this gift. To create such a scarf in less than a month is impressive for her. But how can he thank her for this gift? But then, an idea reached his thoughts, but the very idea of doing it here turned his cheeks red.
"I mean… I'm sure she wouldn't mind it, but…" Jade glanced at everyone else on the dining table, and it was clear that everyone was expecting some sort of reaction from him. Even then, there's a part of him who wants to be more with her than just friends. Sure, their relationship has grown since he and Blake admitted to finding the other cute, but they haven't gone beyond that.
Though…
He would likely give his mother and Aunt Kali more fuel for their teasing if he did this, but it's the only thing that Jade could think of as a good way to pay back Blake for giving him a well-made scarf. Knowing that he'd probably regret this later, Jade took a breath of air before leaning in and planting a kiss on his best friend's forehead, and the reaction he got was instant.
Both Kali and Amranth gasped at the sheer audacity Jade had done, while Ghira and Melo blinked in surprise at what they had just witnessed. As for Blake, she froze still when she felt Jade kissing her on the forehead, and for a moment, she wanted to scold him for doing this in front of everyone. Yet, she instead felt the same feeling she's been feeling for a while now.
Love.
It feels like a foreign word on her tongue.
Yet this is the very emotion her mother taught her was what they were weeks back, and now it's back with a vengeance that threatens to overwhelm her actions. Blake's vision begins to blur except for Jade in the epicentre of it, giving her a gentle smile while holding onto her work.
That proves to be the final push needed to make Blake realise what she wants.
She wants to be something more to Jade. She wants to see her relationship with him develop into something more special beyond just best friends. But most importantly. She wants to be with Jade for the rest of her life.
And thus, she makes a decision.
Without any second to spare, Blake pounced on her best friend and planted her lips onto his to the utter shock of everyone. Compared to earlier, now Amranth, Melo, Kali, and Ghira were all actively gawking with their jaws dropping from the sight before them.
Even Jade was stunned by Blake's sudden reaction, but it didn't last long as he felt consumed by this kiss he shared with her with his arms wrapping around her back.
"I didn't expect this…" Kali softly admits as she glances at her husband and her friends, who are still gawking. But it didn't take long before Amranth mutters her thoughts out.
"Neither did I… But I think it is about time they realise their feelings." She smiles.
It did not take long for both cat Faunuses to break away from their kiss before the realisation hit them both. They did this in front of their parents! "Oh no." Jade could only utter as he and Blake turned to see their parents watching them with various emotions. Yet, Blake couldn't care about what the others thought as she grabbed Jade again with a giggle and hugged him.
"I think I love you, Jade." She admits that while Jade freezes again at Blake hugging him, it does not take long before he eventually melts into her hug.
"Yeah… I think I love you too…"
Amranth and Kali couldn't help but coo softly at what had happened, and Kali even took the chance to take out her scroll to take a shot of her daughter with her friend. As for Melo and Ghira, they simply glance at each other, with Ghira grunting while Melo shrugs back with an amused look on his face.
Thus, an hour passed, and it was finally time for the Grayson family to depart Kou Kanna after a celebration to commemorate the official relationship between Jade and Blake. They were understandably embarrassed, but neither could deny how happy they felt for one another, even if it took years before they realised this after denying it so many times.
But before Jade officially departs, Blake can't help but pull him into a hug. "Jade, I'll be waiting here until you come back." She declares as he chuckles.
"You know it will be a month or so till I return here, right?" Jade points out, yet Blake simply giggles in response.
"I know. But I just want you to know that I will be waiting here until you come back."
"Then I'll hold you up to that promise." Jade gave a smile before their hug was broken by Melo calling him.
"Jade! Come on! The ship's going to leave!"
"Okay, Daddy!"
And so, with a final goodbye to one another, Jade departs to join his family as they board the ship. All the while, the Belladonnas send their friend off with a wave.
Little did the two children realise. The next time they meet again, it would not be a welcoming return for the two newly made lovers.
But as strangers with their blades at each other's throats.
Elsewhere…
In the office in the middle of the night, a woman in her sixties sat alone on her chair as she scribbled down notes on a piece of paper. Wearing what could be considered a luxurious dress with exotic patterns, her hair was a shade of purple and tied up in a bun. Her face had subtle wrinkles, though many would still think she was youthful for her age.
"Mother." Her eyes of purple look up to see a man in his late thirties walking into her office. He had the same purple hair and was wearing a formal suit with a letter in his hand. "A letter from my half-sister to you." He visibly spat as her eyes narrowed.
"What does it say?"
"She is on her way here now. What's the point of inviting her back again?" He asks once he is in front of his mother's desk. "You're not intending to pass over the mayorship of Mugunghwa to her, are you?"
"No." She answers firmly before resting her hands on the table. "I recently picked up that she sired a child. I simply wish to look at them and see how they are doing before sending them off again." She answers softly, only for her son to snap at her.
"Why would you bring that filth over here? Could you just leave her back where she belongs?! You purposely let her run away from us easily, and now you want to see her again only after decades because you heard that she now has a child?! Are you kidding me?!"
"No! That is not the case, and enough with this!" She bangs the table as she snaps back at her son. Her eyes pierced into her son's. "She may be a Faunus, but she is of our blood and your half-sister!"
"That animal is NOT my sister and never will be! I can never accept her after she came out of you after those animals have their way with you, Mother!" He snarled. "You were raped, Mother! Raped! How can you forgive those animals that stay here in our town so easily after one had their way with you at your moment of weakness?!"
"Because I cannot condemn a child for their father's sins even if I wanted to! That man has been rotting in jail for years already for his crimes against me! So why can't you let it go? Why can't you simply accept what has happened and move on?" She questions her son while on her feet now.
"Because animals will be animals, and if you aren't going to do anything about them, then I will do everything in my power to protect everyone from her, even if I have to go against you." He snarled before turning to leave the office, only to be yelled at from behind.
"Don't you DARE do anything to Amranth or her family! I know for sure that she and her family are innocent! For goodness' sake! I have regretted how I had treated her poorly in her youth! And I know now that after all these years, she doesn't deserve it! She didn't all the abuse we all gave her! I'm only trying to make things right here."
She calmed down for a second before speaking again. "You better hear my words, boy, if I catch you threatening her or doing anything to her family while they are here. I will ensure you will be punished severely for it."
…
"You do not presume to order me around anymore… Mother."
The office became silent again as she slumped down on her chair with a hand rubbing against her forehead. "I've made many mistakes against you, my dear… I hope I can write the wrong once we see each other again." She could only mutter softly as the shattered moon loomed through the office windows.
Dun Dun DUNNN!
Now, this is where things get interesting. Very interesting.
So, what do you guys think of this chapter as a whole? There is nothing like both Faunus children advancing their relationship before one leaves for a family visit. And I should mention this, but this is where the fluffiness focus part of the story will change.
That is all I can say.
And at the end is a glimpse of Armranth's mother and half-brother. I will shed more details about them in the next chapter, where things begin to change. Whether for better or for worse, I leave it to your imagination.
Well, I'm done talking. If you enjoy this story and wish to show your support for more in the future, Follow and Favourite this story. And while you're at it, leave a review about your thoughts. I want to know what you think of this chapter before I pause my writing for Chinese New Year over the weekends.
With that, I'll see you all in the next chapter. Please let me know what you think of this one!
RGQC out!
