AN: So someone asked me in DM about Oberon, Habetrot, and Tonelico. I only have to say that the next Anomaly also involved more Arthurian Legends (Proto-Arthurian-ish.) Anyway, enjoy the chapter.

Ch 28 An Unforeseen Situation

The next Day, Ritsuka and Naofumi along with their Party continued their way to Faubrey. They've encountered some Demonic Beasts, a common encounter from the last time, unlike Melromarc.

"Saber!" Ritsuka held his hand out, staring at the Demonic Beasts in front of them.

"Right!" The Grand Saber rushed forward, calling forth a Sword from his Shadow and striking the Demonic Beast.

The Demonic Beast cried its dying breath before dropping to the ground. The blonde Servant dismissed his Sword, turning to his master. "Alright, I'm pretty sure that's every Demonic Beasts here." The Grand Saber said.

Arthur dismissed his Excalibur, sensing no hostile Enemies. "Yes, the Demonic Beast is all taken care of." He turns to Naofumi's side, "Sir Naofumi, Lady Raphtalia what about your side?"

Raphtalia rid the blood of the Demonic Beasts she slew. Looking one last time, she turns to the King of Knights answering his question, "Yes, Saber-san. We've cleared our area,"

Melty, riding Filo confirms what the Pseudo-Servant said. "Yes, there are no Monsters we could see," The violet-haired Princess said,

"Filo could sense there's no more Monsters, Saber-chan!" Filo added, using her senses to check her surroundings.

Naofumi sighs, rolling back his shoulders after the Battle. "Is it me or are the Monsters getting a little tougher?" He asked around, wanting to make sure he wasn't getting weaker.

Castoria took a moment to analyze the Demonic Beast with Da Vinci as they disappeared. "Strange, these Demonic Beasts are much stronger than before." The Lostbelt Servant said, getting up from the ground. "You sense it too, right Da Vinci?"

"Yes, the Magical Energy within the ones we fought than the ones before is stronger." Da Vinci continued, evaluating her Data to the ones they fought. "It's almost like someone is influencing them to become stronger."

"Well, we all know who's behind this mess," Naofumi said, naming the obvious who's behind it all.

Everyone agreed, having the same Person in their mind. "Saber of Melromarc," Ritsuka said before looking up at the sky as they proceeded back on their travel.

Despite the minor details, they manage to make their way to Faubrey. Barghest, who was holding onto the reins gazes up, seeing the familiar Castle of Faubrey. "Everyone," The Blackdog called out to everyone, gaining their attention.

Ritsuka and some others peer through the tarp, hearing the Fairy Knight's voice. "We've arrived at Faubrey Castle," Barghest informed everyone,

"Great, and not a moment too soon," Ritsuka said, looking at the entrance of the Castle Town.

Standing at the Gates was Rider of Bermuda Commanding a few of Faubrey and Melromarc's troops, ready to depart at a moment's notice. "There's Rider with the Soldiers at the Gate." Melty pointed to the maroon-haired Hero.

"Filo, take us right beside them," Barghest spoke to the Filoial pulling the Carriage.

"Hai, I'm on it," Filo responded to the Fairy Knight's request, hasting her speed.

Near the Gates of Faubrey, Rider of Bermuda was preparing to set out to aid Rider of the Heroes Partisans further down South. "Prepare to leave-"

"Oi! Rider!" The maroon-haired Servant paused, turning around and seeing Ritsuka calling out to him from the Carriage.

The Carriage approached the Counter Force Servant and his troops, Ritsuka, Naofumi, Da Vinci, and Arthur stepped out of the Carriage, meeting with him.

"Lord Fujimaru, Sir Naofumi what do I owe this pleasure of you visiting Faubrey?" The Rider asked, looking at the other Servants and Party Members, greeting them also with a nod.

"You're going down South, to the Amazon Tribes, right?" Ritsuka asked the maroon-haired Servant.

Rider of Bermuda paused, looking at Da Vinci and the Second Princess being the only ones who could tell them about their workings. Seeing they're working towards the same goals, it's not a problem. "Yes, we received a request for back-up from Rider of the Heroes Partisans. I was tasked to assist her."

"The Amazon Tribes lived up to the Myth in our World if the other Rider is having trouble there," Naofumi commented, knowing the Myths about the Amazons.

Da Vinci nodded, "Yes, during my time in Faubrey I did a little research about the Tribe. There's a lot of similarities between the Amazons from Proper Human History to this History." The Caster said, informing the master of Chaldea and Shield Hero.

"There are?" Arthur asked the Technical Advisor, "How so?"

The brunette Caster smiles, going into an explanation. "For example, Faubrey's Industrial Boom using Steam as power and Rifles." Da Vinci explains, looking at the others. "This goes for the same for the other Nations,"

"Then what about the Amazon Tribe? What similarities do they have from our History?" Naofumi asked the Renaissance Woman, curious what the similarities.

Da Vinci looks at the Pseudo-Servant, "As the Name suggests, the Amazon Tribes are comprised of Warrior Women much in Greek Mythology." The Caster explains to the black-haired Hero. "The Amazon Tribe in this World is also comprised of Warrior Women, and their Leader or Queen is also led by a famous Amazon Queen from our History. Her Name is…"

The maroon-haired Rider looks at the Chaldean master and Naofumi. "Thalestris, the last Queen of the Amazons back in Proper Human History." Rider of Bermuda informed the group.

"Thalestris…if I remember correctly, Thalestris is the Last Queen of the Amazon in Greek Mythology. She led the Amazons through countless Battles and eventually met Alexender the Great." Ritsuka said, remembering the information from the Chaldean Records and Iskandar's stories. "Thalestris recognized the strength, Iskandar has and believed if she were to be Pregnant with his Children then they'd make a more superior race of Humans/Warriors." The Magus said,

"I'm not well versed in Greek Mythology; I know of Alexander the Great. (Who doesn't) but did they succeed?" Naofumi asked Ritsuka, knowing he's a History Buff,

Da Vinci shrugs, "Many Legends depict that Thalestris slept with Iskandar for Thirteen Days and conceived a Child. But also many Legends depict that Thalestris left Alexandria and returned to leading her Tribe without successfully conceiving a Child."

Arthur crossed his arms, hearing the summarized tale of the King of Conquerors and the Last Amazon Queen. "So it's whatever you believe is the true Legends." The Saber said, "Am I assuming that Thalestris is also a Servant?"

"No, Thalestris has been around for a few Years now; the same Age as Her Majesty." Rider of Bermuda said, seeing for someone who's been around to be a Servant.

"Yes, this Phenomenon I call Proper Human History Convergence; a Phenomenon where similar events from Proper Human History's Timeline sometimes converge into a Timeline with a completely different History with a few minor differences." Da Vinci explains to the group.

Naofumi nodded, getting the gist. "I see…so does that mean Alexender the Great is here too?" The Shielder asked, basing his question on the Phenomenon. "You said Thalestris is known for conceiving or not Alexander's Child…"

Rider of Bermuda turns to one of Melromarc's Soldiers, asking him something. "Gladion, have you ever heard of Alexander the Great or Alexander of Macedonia? Better yet, Iskandar?" The Rider asked the Human Soldier.

The Soldier shook his head, answering the Group Leader. "No, I haven't Sir. That Name doesn't ring any Bells, but Thalestris the Great is familiar." He responded, looking around at his fellow Knights. "Almost everyone knows about the Queen of the Amazon Tribe."

"Thalestris the Great?" Ritsuka questions how the Soldiers spoke to the Amazon Queen like she was Iskandar.

"Yes, Lord Fujimaru. Thalestris the Great is said to be one of the Greatest of the previous Amazon Queens." One of the Melromarc Soldier said. "She manages to drive all Foreign Invaders in the Amazon Lands by overwhelming them with severe Numbers."

"Rumors also have it that a lustful Lord wanted to enslave the Tribe, however, Thalestris took up arms and rebelled against his Army." Another Soldier said, stepping into the conversation. "The Lord was defeated in a Three Day time span, claiming his land as a part of the Amazon Tribe." He continued after his fellow Knight.

Another Knight nodded, crossing her arms. "She's a statement to all Women across the Land and many inspired to follow her lead." She said, indicating she admired the Amazon Queen.

"I see…no wonder People here call Thalestris, Thalestris the Great," Naofumi commented, crossing his arms. "So, the gist is if Rider of the Heroes Partisan is requesting help with the recruitment, then there must be a problem there." The Shielder said,

Rider of Bermuda nodded, "Yes, our goal is to support Rider there. Most likely the Amazon Tribe wants to test us out before joining the Alliance." The maroon-haired Rider said, knowing what they're like in Proper Human History.

"Ah…I knew this wasn't going to be simple." Arthur commented, being used to it by now.

"At least we won't have to worry about the Three Heroes Roundtable here in the Southern Regions," Castoria commented, smiling at something not relating to the Heroic Knights.

Ritsuka sighs at the Lostbelt Servant, "Ah…why did you say that, Arturia…" The master of Chaldea said.

Castoria flinched, realizing what she said. "O-Oh! S-Sorry, I didn't mean to jinx it!" The Child of Prophecy exclaims. "I take it back! I take it back!" She panics.

"It's too late now, Arturia. There's no way of taking that back now." Naofumi chuckles, making fun of the Lostbelt Servant.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"

Everyone laughs at Castoria, trying to make up for her misstep. Arthur included before looking at the Rider beside them. "So, you're here then…Rider…" The King of Knights said, recognizing the Counter Force Servant.

"Ah…I guess you do remember, Saber. Say, can we let what happened in Tokyo-" Rider of Bermuda paused, seeing Arthur holding out his hand.

"Rider, we are fighting for the same goal here, and serving the same master. Though temporary in your case." Arthur said, harboring no feelings during the Tokyo Holy Grail War. "Let's defend Humanity to the best of our ability,"

Rider nodded, accepting the notion. "Right, let's work together, Saber."

After greeting Mirellia, the group now accompanied by Rider of Bermuda and his troops all headed further South.

Ritsuka sat next to Éclair who took over Barghest's shift in holding the reigns. "Say, Éclair, do you have any idea what the Southern Countries are like?" The Magus asked the Knight.

Éclair ponders for a moment, trying to best describe what the Southern Countries are to Ritsuka. "The best I could say is that the Southern Countries are almost the opposite of Melromarc."

"Where Melromarc is Human Supremacy is widely spread, it's the opposite in the South." The pink-haired Knight explains to the master of Chaldea. "Demi-Humans are the majority of the Population with a few Human settlements," Éclair said,

"Huh, sounds like the South is like Fairy Britain." Opening the tarp, Castoria pops her head, overhearing the conversation. "I really don't like that the Demi-Humans have a grudge against Humans considering that…our group comprised with some Humans. Namely Onii-san, Melty, Eclair, and Fujimaru." The Caster points out the group's members.

Ritsuka looks at the pink-haired Knight, "Are you sure you're going to be alright, Éclair? We are going to a place where the People look down at Humans." The Magus asked the Knight of Melromarc.

"Yes, something like Human or Demi-Human Supremacy means nothing to me when my Country is in danger," Éclair said, not letting a little difference between Races. "You needn't worry about me, Lord Fujimaru."

Ritsuka nodded, accepting what the Knight said. "Alright,"

The group continued to follow Rider of Bermuda's group down the Path. It was a peaceful journey, that is until Barghest sensed something.

Barghest sat down in the Carriage before her eyes opened,

The Grand Saber took notice of the Fairy Knight's sudden reaction. "Saber, what is it?" The Golden Saber asked her,

Melty and the others reacted to what Barghest said. "Wait, what!?" Melty asked, as everyone ready themselves for the upcoming Attack.

"Demonic Beasts," Barghest stood up, going to the front to tell their master, "Master, there's a Horde of Demonic Beasts coming this way." The Fairy Knight informed her master,

Ritsuka and Eclair looked at the blonde Fairy, hearing what he said. "Rider! Stop the advance!" The Chaldean master called out to the Counter Force Servant, "There's a Horde of Demonic Beasts coming this way!"

The maroon-haired Rider heard what the master of Chaldea said. He turns to his troops, "Everyone, we have a Horde of Demonic Beasts coming this way! Prepare for Combat!" The Rider ordered the Knights.

"Sir!" The Knights went into a Combat position, their Swords ready for a fight.

Ritsuka and Éclair got up from the Driver's seat. Both took out their Swords, heading to Combat. "Filo, get ready to fight." The Magus said, telling Filo to fight.

"Hai!" Filo immediately reverts to her Human Form, readying herself to fight.

Naofumi, Castoria, Arthur, Raphtalia, Barghest, and Grand Saber got out of the Carriage while Lancelot and Da Vinci took up guarding the Carriage, and Melty Castoria who are providing long-range Attacks and support.

Soon roars of Demonic Beasts came from all angles, indicating they had stumbled in a Nesting ground.

"Seems we've stumbled on a Nesting ground for these Monsters," Éclair said, readying her Rapier.

Ritsuka nodded as Naofumi, and the others met up with him. "Yeah, the only thing to do is to fight them off." He said, turning to Naofumi. "Iwatani, everyone, ready?"

"Hai!"

The Battle was everywhere, each Person fought to fend off the Demonic Beasts. Their goal, making an opening through the Horde without losing anyone.

"Charisma of Hope!" Castoria raised her Staff, buffing everyone and giving them a boost.

Melty casts many Healing Spells with the Aid of Da Vinci, amplifying her Spells to get a better range.

Ritsuka slashes his Sword, taking out a Demonic Beasts as Arthur watches his back. Eyeing back, he saw some Hell Hounds coming from their rear. "Hell Hounds at our rear!" He informed everyone.

Barghest steps forward, releasing her Chained Blackdogs to counter the Attack. "I have the rear, master!" She said, commanding her Blackdogs to devour the Hell Hounds.

Rider of Bermuda came slashing through the Demonic Beasts, slaying them with ease with his elongated Scythe. "Master of Chaldea!" He called out to the Chaldean master, twirling his Scythe to rid of the Demonic Blood.

Ritsuka looks at Rider, seeing how his Scythe killed the Demonic Beasts easily. "That Scythe, it killed those Demonic Beasts with ease." He said, seeing the Scythe in his hand, feeling like he saw it somewhere.

"Master!" Arthur called out to his master,

The black-haired Magus shook his head, looking at his Servant. "Yes, sorry, what is it, Saber?" Ritsuka asked the King of Knights.

"Rider of Bermuda needs to speak with you." The blonde Saber informed his master,

Ritsuka nodded, giving his attention to the Counter Force Servant. "What is it, Rider."

"We're too spread out. My Troops are struggling to keep up with the Demonic Beasts." The maroon-haired Rider told the master of Chaldea.

Ritsuka looks at everyone, seeing the Knights struggling with the Horde. "We need to gather the Demonic Beasts in one area, I think a Noble Phantasm or a range Attack would be able to get rid of them quickly." He said, strategizing how to defeat the Enemies.

"Agreed, but who has that kind of power that could do that?" Rider of Bermuda asked, seeing the Chaldean master look at Naofumi.

"Iwatani!" Ritsuka called for the Shielder.

Naofumi fighting at the other end, he used his Shield to block a strike from a Hell Hound as Raphtalia came in and slashed it in half.

"Naofumi-sama, are you alright?" Raphtalia asked the Shielder.

"Yes, thanks Raphtalia." Naofumi said, turning to the Battle,

"Iwatani!" Both Raphtalia and Naofumi turn to Ritsuka, hearing him calling him.

Naofumi held his Shield, blocking another strike from a Hell Hound. "Ngh!"

"Sei!" Raphtalia steps in, slashing the Enemy in half. "Naofumi-sama, go see what Ritsuka-dono needs, I'll handle this." The Saber said, slashing through another Demonic Beasts and making a path for him.

The Shielder nodded, appreciating the Demi-Human's assistance. "Got it," Naofumi left the Raphtalia to handle the Demonic Beasts.

The Shielder rushed over to Ritsuka and the Servants, "Fujimaru, what is it?" Naofumi asked his Ally, knowing he had a plan.

"Iwatani," Ritsuka looks at the Pseudo-Servant, "Is it possible you have a Skill that can gain the Demonic Beast's attention yourself?" The Magus asked the Shielder.

Naofumi paused, blinking in surprise at the question. "Y-Yes, I do…what are you implying, Fujimaru?" He asked the black-haired Man.

Ritsuka explains the plan he has to Naofumi, after the explanation Naofumi takes a second to think. "It'll be risky since I don't know how these Monsters would react. But I think it'll work," He said, agreeing to the idea.

"Then let's do it. Da Vinci! I need your Genius here," Ritsuka called out to his Technical Head.

Da Vinci heard her master calling her Name, she smirked understanding what he meant. "Right, you got it Fujimaru-kun!" The Caster said, obliging to his call.

Back during the Battle, the Knights led by Éclair and the Grand Saber. "Keep in formation, don't let your Guard down!" Éclair orders the Knights, receiving a response from them.

"Right!" The Knights cried out, blocking the Demonic Beasts' Attacks,

Grand Saber slashed down with his Sword before receiving a mental message from his Contractor. 'Saber, fall back. We have a plan in motion,' Ritsuka informed the Golden Saber.

'Whatever it is, I'm down with it. Right. I understand, master.' The Grand Saber Candidate looks at Éclair, relaying the message. "Lady, we have to fall back. Master has a plan to get us out of here." He explains,

Éclair looks around, seeing that most of the Knights are being overwhelmed by the Enemy. She hesitated a bit before complying. "Right…Men, fall back! Fall back!" She ordered the Knights,

They looked at each other before obeying the orders, each of the Knights fell back causing the Demonic Beasts to fall in.

The Demonic Beasts roared, encroaching closer for the kill before something was calling them. "Hate Reaction!" Naofumi cried out, causing the Demonic Beasts to turn their attention to the Shielder.

Naofumi smirked, seeing the attention was on him. "Heh, seems like Fujimaru's plan is working…" The Shielder said, hearing the Demonic Beasts roar at him.

They all ran towards him, lured in by his Skill. "Okay, anytime now!" Naofumi called out, seeing they were heading for him.

Just when the Demonic Beasts were about to attack Naofumi, he moved aside, letting Da Vinci take the stage. "Thank you, Iwatani-kun, you just opened the stage for a Genius." She smiles,

"Gauntlet Input at Maximum Power," Da Vinci smiles, changing her current Gauntlet into a larger Gauntlet with the large one. She held out her Gauntlet and smirked, "See ya,"

A large beam was released at the Horde, disintegrating them whole.

Everyone watches as the Caster is killed off by a singular blast, "Lady Da Vinci…has killed those Monsters…" A Knight said all of them were in awe before cheering for Da Vinci.

"Lady Da Vinci has defeated those Monsters!" One Knight cheered,

"She really is a Genius Mage!" The Mage of the Mage Corp exclaims, admiring the Renaissance Woman.

"Ahahaha! Don't stop your praising now, everyone. Truly you all can see a Gunius when you see it." Da Vinci played along with the Knights' praising her.

Naofumi looks at the Caster Servant, seeing her basking in the Knights' and Mages' praises. "She really is full of herself," Naofumi commented,

Ritsuka nodded, "Yeah, that's Da Vinci for you." The Magus shrugs, not minding Da Vinci's eccentric personality.

Naofumi couldn't see himself with someone who had an eccentric personality, much like Filo. However, it does lighten the mood from time to time.

Suddenly, he heard screaming from within the Forest behind them. "Was that…"

"Someone must've stumbled into the Forest," Rider of Bermuda said, looking in the direction where they heard the scream.

"Right, there's only one thing to do. Arturia, Saber, let's go." Ritsuka called for both Arthur and Castoria to accompany him to save whoever needed help. "The rest of you, keep guard of the Troops with Éclair and Rider."

Lancelot, Barghest, and Grand Saber nodded, obliging to the orders. "Yes, master."

Arthur nodded, looking at his Lostbelt version of himself, "Let's, Arturia." The King of Knights said, already having his Invisible Excalibur in hand.

"H-Hai," Castoria responded, ready to go.

Naofumi steps forward, joining his Ally, "Fujimaru, don't think you're going without us." He said, motioning to him and Raphtalia.

Raphtalia nodded, also wanting to join the Chaldean master. "We're ready to move out, Ritsuka-dono."

Ritsuka smiles, heading out in the other direction to help whoever found themselves in the Demonic Beasts' Nest.

Heading in the direction where they heard the scream. "I hope we're not too late," Ritsuka said, remaining hopeful they're still alive.

"A bit hopeful there, Fujimaru? The best we could do was arrive there and fend off the Demonic Beasts and heal any injuries they have obtained." Naofumi said, being realistic in the situation.

"It's not wrong to remain a little hopeful, Sir Naofumi," Arthur commented, looking at the black-haired Hero.

Naofumi looks at the King of Knights, retorting his statement. "It's also not wrong to be realistic too, Saber." The Shielder said, smirking at him.

Raphtalia smiles, seeing her master being more outgoing than before. "It's nice to see you more outgoing, Naofumi-sama." She commented, "You two are acting like Brothers,"

"Brother…heh, well Sir Naofumi does share some similarities to my Brother," Arthur said, already having a feeling who Naofumi's Heroic Spirit's True Name.

Naofumi sighs, shaking his head. "Do I now? Well, if you were Arturia then I believe you'll be less troublesome." The Shielder smirks at the Lostbelt Servant, "As you can tell, this one is a magnet for trouble whenever she goes."

"Onii-san!" Castoria exclaims, feeling embarrassed by Naofumi's comment causing Ritsuka and the others to laugh.

Castoria pouts before sensing a familiar Aura, an Aura that is well known to her. "Fujimaru, that scream, it's not some random Person. It's-"

Exiting the Forest, the small group met the Person who screamed earlier. However, it's not just one Person they expected, instead, they were met by a group.

"Oh, you got to be kidding me." Naofumi groans, seeing who they just met.

Ritsuka remains silent, staring at the Person he least expected to meet this soon.

"F-Fujimaru?" Motoyasu blinked three times, making sure he wasn't seeing things.

"Hi…Aniki…" Ritsuka greeted Heroic Knight Lancelot and his Party, not wanting to meet him now with their current mission.
