Roman grabbed the flashlight and the shovel, and they walked through the garden and into the forest. They had done this before and no one had ever found the bodies they had buried out there. They had an area picked out that was hard to get to, and they were sure no one would ever come out there to dig for bones. They made it to their chosen area where they had already dug a fresh grave before picking up Patience. The shovel was there to cover the hole with dirt once she was in there.

"Well, you're one lucky girl, Patience. You get to die fast," Roman said.
"You can't kill me," Patience said.
"We don't have time for you begging for your life," Seth said.
"I'm not begging," Patience said. "I'm telling you, you can't fucking kill me."
"Watch us," Seth said.

Roman raised the shovel in an attempt to smash it down on Patience's head. A scream tore through the night again and he froze in his tracks.

"The fucking mountain lion is close!" Roman hissed.
"Just fucking dump her in there and we'll bury her alive," Seth said.
"We don't have time if a fucking mountain lion is stalking us," Roman said.
"You're the prey!" Patience laughed.
"Shut up!" Seth growled.

Seth grabbed Patience's arms to throw her into the hole. He too froze in his tracks when the woman in the blue, hooded cloak came walking out through the trees.

"Roman," Seth whispered. "She's back."

Roman turned around and stared at the woman. She put her finger to her lips and shushed them.

"Bitch, we'll kill you too," Roman threatened.

The woman's other arm came out of the cloak. She had long claws instead of nails and she was holding a weapon in her hand.

"What kind of sword is that?" Roman asked.
"It's a khopesh," Seth answered. "It's an ancient Egyptian weapon."
"Thank you for the history lesson," Roman said dryly. "Any ideas?"
"Run?" Seth asked.
"Yeah, good idea," Roman said.

Both men turned to run but didn't make it many steps. The woman leaped through the air over Roman and landed on Seth's body. He tumbled to the ground and she planted the khopesh into his back before turned around and jumping forward towards Roman and ripping his chest open with her claws. Roman fell down next to Seth. Both of them struggled to breathe.

"Roman," Seth got out.
"Lie still," Roman said. "Save your energy."
"It doesn't matter. You're both dead," Patience said.

They turned their heads to look at Patience and the other woman. The stranger got out of her blue, hooded cloak and transformed into a big cat in front of them.

"Bastet!" Seth cried. "No, she's not real."
"She's the goddess of several things. Tonight she's the goddess of women's secrets. I will take the secret of your deaths with me to the grave," Patience said.

It was as if Patience had been filled with an unnatural strength. She grabbed Roman's ankles first and dragged him over to the hole in the ground. She pushed him into it and then went back to grab Seth's ankles. He too was dragged over the ground and pushed into the hole. She appeared on top of the hole with the shovel in her hand. Both men were looking up at her with tears running from their eyes.

"Patience, please!" Seth begged.
"How many times did I say that word tonight?" Patience asked.
"We're sorry," Roman said.
"Sorry's not gonna save you," Patience said.

Bastet appeared in her cat form next to Patience. Clearly it was the goddess granting Patience the strength and stamina to continue after hours of torture by the hands of these two men. She stuck the shovel into the pile of dirt and started throwing dirt into the hole to bury the two men alive.

"Please!" Seth cried loudly.
"My goddess has protected me," Patience said. "And in return I'll protect every woman out there who would have come across the two of you. Your reign of terror ends tonight."
