Over in West City - the sky blue-haired heiress of the Capsule Corporation, Bulma Briefs, entered the post office to check her PO box. She'd been too busy with work to come gather her mail in about a week, so it'd piled up. Contents included various electrical components for a million different projects, a couple new pair of shoes, some designer dresses…You know, just the essentials.

But, what stuck out to her most was a crumpled little pink envelope right at the back of the pile. Her mind raced as she looked at it, she never received snail mail letters like this before - who could It be from?

There was no return address, hmm…

It felt like there was something inside, too. Probably some sort of scam letter, or… Something. She'd gotten those before.

But, still, curiosity overtook her. As soon as she got home and into her bedroom - she tore open the envelope. Taking a quick scan…

It was a love letter!

The pink paper now made sense with the hearts all over the page.

Her heart immediately began racing, face flush just thinking about who could've sent it. She'd had dreams about this exact scenario!

You know, she began her hunt for the Dragon Balls way back when with the intent to wish for a perfect boyfriend!

What? Strawberries? Get out of here.

But, on second thought, she didn't know who it was from. maybe it was some creep like Bacterian. Ugh, Gross!

Well, after hugging the letter tightly and twirling on one foot - she actually decided to…read the whole thing.

Hmm…well, the sender decided to stay anonymous. But they did want to meet! Running through the list of candidates in her head it was probably someone she knew well, or at least more than once.

But the fact that the meeting spot was the Tenkaichi Budokai was… peculiar, it basically narrowed it down to being A friend of Goku's.

Could it be…Yamcha?

No, Yamcha and her had already dated. And broken up. If it was him, he wouldn't NEED to stay anonymous. She would take him back in a heartbeat. HE was the one that broke it off.

Goku, maybe? Ew- too young for her. But, he was a close friend, it made the most logical sense…

Ditto for Krillin. Too young.

Master Roshi? Oh, GOD. She hoped it wasn't him. She could feel the bile rising in the back of her throat just thinking about it.

No, no, couldn't be him- she'd seen his handwriting, it was much more stiff and professional.

Oolong? Puar? Uhhh… the turtle? Bulma didn't know. But whatever the case, she had to find out!

At the bottom of the letter was a baggie containing a beautiful blue necklace, to be used as a 'form of identification.' It complemented her hair very well! Her heart and mind were racing. Just to be on the safe side, she put it on - hiding it under her shirt though. In case it was someone in her immediate friend group, don't want to ruin the surprise too early.

The wait was agonizing, but, Bulma eventually made it to the promised date. May 6th, the night before the Tenkaichi Budokai.

Funnily enough, the plane bound for Papaya Island happened to be the same one that Goku's crew was taking - Well, sans the boy himself. It figured that he'd try to make it on foot, that damn boy was an enigma.

But, as she spoke with the group - Bulma noticed something. The blonde-haired Launch had the exact same necklace on. Well, that was…peculiar…

Wait a second!

Did that mean that the sender sent it to multiple women?

If he did, that meant he was probably making the whole thing up. That pig! Oh, when she got her hands on him he'd be sorry for playing with her heart like that!

It HAD to be either Roshi or Oolong.

Thankfully, she didn't see either of them wearing any sort of jewelry, hmm.

No, whoever it was was probably just hiding it in his pocket until the right time.

It was a good thing that Launch's blonde self was much better composed. Because her blue-half was screaming from the second she saw Bulma wearing the necklace.

If her blue-half was the one active, she probably would've just melted into a pile of goop right then and there.

"We got her hooked, now we just gotta reel her in." Her blonde self thought, which could be heard by her blue-haired self.

The rest of the day dragged like molasses, even with Goku finally showing up. Like, a minute before tournament signups closed. Cutting it as he possibly could.

That Goku sure was one who liked to live life to the fullest.

Bulma noticed that he wasn't wearing any sort of jewelry either - In fact, he was wearing a tarzan outfit. Strange.

Still, after that, most of the crew went out for dinner. But Bulma stayed behind, heading for the lobby of the Papain Hotel. The whole time, silently wishing that her 'secret admirer' was real. That it was some misunderstanding.

It was a dream romance. Like something out of a book. Kissing a beautiful hunk who long admired her from afar underneath the picturesque Papaya Island sunset…

Sigh.

As Bulma entered the lobby, she saw Launch over to the side in a small lounge area. Thankfully having reverted to her blue-haired form. Her face was red, as she nervously fidgeted her hands.

Bulma let out a deep breath as she approached, "He got you too, huh?"

"W-huh?" Launch squeaked, her face going slightly pale.

"You know, the… 'Secret admirer' guy? Isn't that where you got that necklace?" Bulma continued, with a sympathetic face.

But Launch shook her head no.

"Huh?" Bulma replied, confused.

After a moment of awkward silence, Launch tried to answer. Though her voice was very quiet. "I..it was…m..me…"

"Wait, what?" Bulma questioned, stepping back from shock. "You were the person who sent it?"

Launch just nodded. But she looked like she was about to burst into tears.

Well, it was- it was real after all… Bulma had never even once considered the possibility of it being Launch.
