PROLOGUE

Harry and Hermione had been in love since they were at Hogwarts, but they were always afraid of ruining their friendship by confessing their feelings for each other. Since their third year, everyone around them knew that they were both dancing around each other and no matter how much their friends teased them when they were together or asked them, when would they get together? They only replied that they were best friends and nothing more. It wasn't until their sixth year, after Harry had been hit by the bludger sent by Mclaggen, that the two had confessed their feelings to each other and started dating.

Harry had woken up on Madam Pomfrey's gurney, and Hermione was at his side, holding his hand and with tears in her eyes.

They started dating in sixth year, but when Harry found out he had to go hunting for horcruxes, he wanted to keep her and Ron away, for fear something would happen to them. However, as expected, his two best friends would not let him and joined him on his search.

During the search for Horcruxes, they didn't have much time for each other, as they had to be constantly changing places and it wasn't until the war was over and Harry defeated Voldemort, that they both decided to go out more often and date, even though they already knew each other well enough, it was a step that both wanted to follow.

A couple of years later, Harry had proposed to Hermione, who without hesitation said yes.

Some time after their marriage, they had started working in the ministry. Hermione had been made head of the department of magical creatures, while Harry was taken directly to the auror division, as head.

They were currently in their forty-two and forty-three years and Hermione was the only one who had changed positions, as she now held the position of minister for magic, the job she had worked so hard for and had finally managed to get.

Happiness radiated in the Potter family, as Harry and Hermione currently had three wonderful children. James Sirius, Lilly Luna and Rose Potter Granger.

Harry had finally understood what it was to be happy, creating his family at Hermione's side. Their love was shown without limits, their children had the great example of their parents' marriage, who countless times had shown how much they loved each other and how much they loved them.

Every time they had time to be alone, whether it was in the light of day, under a cloudy sky with a storm approaching, or under the starry night, the jet and the chestnut, they showed the infinite love they had for each other, with caresses, passionate kisses, hugs and endless pampering that confirmed their marriage vows.

Everything was going perfectly, until one day Hermione got out of bed when she heard a little knocking coming from the dresser in her room.

She stood up, putting her robe over her naked body and walked to the table next to the mirror and noticed that her time-turner, which was inside her glass jewelry box, was vibrating nonstop and crashing against the walls of it. With great care she opened the little box, took the time-turner with her hands and without putting it around her neck, she turned the small handle of the golden clock, which did nothing but spin and vibrate, without emitting the waves and sounds that it made when it traveled through time.

Her time-turner was broken and she needed to repair it, since despite not being used daily, it was an object that she kept in constant study and also a memory of her time travel with her husband so many years ago, when they rescued Sirius and Buckbeak.

What the brunette didn't know was that something had happened in the past, a glitch in time that needed to be corrected. Not knowing what else to do, Hermione got ready to take a bath, when she left she heard her husband call her, she dressed quickly and went to meet her lover who was already waiting for her outside.

That same day began the Hogwarts summer vacation. Harry and Hermione had gone to King's Cross Station to pick up their two eldest children, sixteen year old James and fifteen year old Lilly.

James would be starting his sixth year next September and Lilly her fifth year.

The sixteen year old had come out with brown hair and eyes like his mother, but his hair was so messy, inherited from both parents. As for Lilly, she had the red hair with brown highlights and the green eyes of her grandmother and her father.

They spent the entire way home chatting with their children about their activities at Hogwarts. They were both still the seekers for their quidditch teams and James were hopeful that by the next sixth year, he would be captain.

James had been selected for Slytherin house and Lilly for Gryffindor. The house of the snakes was no longer hated as before and now there was more coexistence between the houses.

"What do you think if when you get home, you rest a bit and then we all go to the burrow together? Uncle Ron said that Mrs. Weasley has a welcome dinner for all her grandchildren," Harry proposed, receiving a nod from his children and a smile from his wife.

"Get some rest and then take a shower before we go," said Hermione as they walked through the front door of the house.

"I missed them so much," the brunette said to Harry, hugging him and sighing into his chest, being wrapped in her husband's arms and receiving a kiss on her head.

"Me too darling," assured the jet still holding Hermione in his arms, "me too. I'll wake Rose up in a bit so she'll be ready," Harry told Hermione, as they broke away from their embrace.

Rose was the youngest daughter of Harry and Hermione, she was seven years old and the vivid female image of her father at the age of eleven. She had her coal black hair with some brown highlights from her mother and the beautiful green eyes from her father and grandmother.

As they parted, Hermione took off her beige colored robes and after giving Harry a quick kiss on the lips, she went without wasting any more time towards the table where she had her time-turner. Apparently, it had broken down and she was trying to repair it, because it wouldn't stop vibrating and she still hadn't figured out what the fault was.

She was so sure it didn't work that she left it on the table, while she went upstairs to her room to get the tools with which she would take it apart.

While she was upstairs, James and Lilly placed their school bags at the foot of the stairs and without wasting any more time went into the kitchen to get some water. Then they were heading towards their rooms to take a nap, when they passed in front of the table where the time-turner was.

They didn't know what was happening, but apparently the magic of the time-turner that was vibrating non-stop on the table, attracted the attention of both like a magnet, making them both approach it.

The siblings shared a puzzled look and moved even closer. Being James called out of curiosity, he extended his right hand at the same time he felt Lilly's hand grab his left wrist and the chestnut touched the time-turner, which began to vibrate and flutter faster and in a few seconds the gold chain with the small rotating device had swallowed them making them disappear.

Hermione was just walking down the stairs to the living room, when she saw her children vanish, being swallowed by the time-turner. She quickly ran to where the little hourglass was and hung it around her neck, trying to make it work to rescue her children, but no matter how hard she turned it, it wouldn't work. The strangest thing was that the little time-turner had stopped vibrating.

Frustrated, she tossed it on the table and, unable to hold back her tears, ran to Harry to tell him what had happened. She ran back to the table, desperately pulling on her husband's arm.

Harry reached out and tried to take the time-turner in his hands, causing it to burn him and bringing his hand to his mouth trying to calm the burning.

Hermione was surprised, because she could touch the time-turner, but it didn't work for her, while Harry had burned his hand. They both looked worried, thinking about how to rescue their children.

"We'll work it out, love. We'll bring them back," Harry assured, hugging Hermione and placing a kiss on her head. "I promise."

"I know. I trust you," replied the brunette, burying her tearful face in Harry's chest, who was crying hugging his wife, with his cheek resting on her head.

"And I trust you, Mione. We are in this together." The green-eyed man assured.

That hadn't been a simple accident, that failure had triggered a big problem that needed to be solved, James and Lilly would now be the only ones who could correct that.

hello! I can finally share with you the prologue of this new fic that I have in the works.

I will try to intersperse the chapters of this story with those of Only you, but it all depends on my muggle life and the muggle life of my beta.

I hope you like this first and small part of this story, which I am building with a lot of effort. I thank you in advance for your comments and other signs that you liked it, which is what motivates me to continue writing, despite the fact that it costs me a bit.

We keep reading soon. See you later and happy back to Hogwarts!
