The world's of the magical union... were dead. They only chose black rocks, 5 times the mass of Earth, with a dead core.
From there The Goblins compressed them into 42 hundred levels. With their moons harvested into dust. Any habitable moon was terraformed and sold to the Citadel. Who in turn sold it to one of the Inter-planetary governments.
The new Lycan world, of "Wolf's Bane", was similarly designed. So there was no full moon to trigger savage Instincts.
The lower decks were made of lush meadows, with bigger on the inside buildings, each containing a different werewolf pack. With the decks divided by the Lycan who spawned the werewolves.
As most were Lycan Betas, this did not necessarily mean the Lycan had any authority over their descendants. But they were always viewed as a wise-man, whom the Alphas often sought out for Council.
The center decks, was were the Lycan packs actually resided.
The Top of the World, like all planets in the magical union was the control center. Housing the engineering deck, and the bridge. While the deck under it was the government offices. Where the Alphas met, to discuss planetary wide laws, policies, and any disagreements between packs.
Under that deck was the science labs... which remained mostly empty, as the majority of werewolves didn't hold much value in study.
Below that, was a cluster of 42 decks, designed to cater to the needs and desires of children. Including a deck devoted to schooling. Just because werewolves don't LIKE studying, doesn't mean they allow their children to be ignorant. There was even decks devoted to amusement parks, theme parks, and water parks.
With the next 42 decks dedicated to stores, businesses, and hangouts.
Packs were more like a, very large, family. Everyone working together to support each other. There was no need of money. So commercial goods weren't really available in the Estates.
That meant, businesses needed their own decks, to sell merchandise. The stores were all run by house elves, but sold goods from all over the galaxy.
Werewolves mostly traded their shedded hair, claws, and fangs. All of which grew back by the next day. Some of the purer bloodlines even traded their organs, as those too, would grow back for them.
Werewolves had nothing to offer the galaxy... except to be used as potion ingredients. But the trades earned them a lot of credits, even for a single hair of their wolf form... a freely given hair makes for an amazing wand core.
It wasn't an ideal situation, but the Werewolves were just grateful they had a reliable way to earn money. So they could buy the same luxuries everyone else could.
The rest of the decks were different environments... Under a constant full moon enchantment. So the packs could occasionally enjoy giving into their nature.
But the Decks that interested Remus the most was just above the Lycan floors... a place where omegas, packless, lived in isolation...
These decks were designed as a type of adoption center. Where Alphas would find new recruits.
Remus... did not live there.
Greyback sneered. While Lucian spoke calmly, "You can still increase your numbers, by having pups."
"That takes too long before they are of any use to the pack!" Greyback raged. "You refuse to let me turn anyone."
"I'm hardly stopping you," Lucian sipped his tea. "I have no wish to be an alpha among alphas."
"That's exactly what you made yourself!!!" Greyback raged. "The floo network refuses to allow me off world!!!"
"You think that's my doing?" Lucian calmly put down the Fine China. "The Council of Lycans votes on restricting access to the floo. I'm not even on the Council." He technically was, but he'd never sat in on a meeting. Allowing his descendants to be ruled by those who DID want to be Alphas among Alphas.
Lucian hardly wanted the migraine of dealing with whining children. Avoiding complaints like these was exactly why.
Greyback's eyes flashed red, but that's not something Lucian could allow.
Greyback just issued him a challenge. But since He had never submitted to Lucian, never actually acknowledged his authority. This could only be taken as an Alpha trying to take over another pack.
Within a moment Greyback's throat was in Lucian's claw. Without a thought Lucian rippped it out.
It wouldn't kill a werewolf of his blood purity, but gasping and bleeding for a few hours would teach the pup not to be so disrespectful.
"Take him back to his pack," Lucian ordered.
As Greyback was dragged off, Remus sighed. "Things would be a lot easier if you just forced him to submit."
"Not my style," Lucian smiled. "Or are you forgetting how I handled you."
Remus blushed, looking away. After many talks, offers to share food, lessons on changing at will, and protection from other Alphas... Remus wolf half begged to belong to Lucian... and Remus found himself in reluctant agreement.
The sensation was... odd. To submit, a werewolf lifts their head, exposing their neck. Offering their very life to the Alpha... with a pitiful pup-ish whimper. How embarrassing, but your supposed to be completely vulnerable when asking to join a pack. Then the whole pack howls, as the new beta's soul ties to everyone else, through the Alpha... It was... oddly moving, in a savage kinda way.
"The little shit doesn't even understand I had nothing to do with trapping him on the planet," Lucian sighed with a growl. Before picking up his tea cup.
"Only because the Lycan council has more brains then you," Remus scoffed. He'd been strangely mouthy, since attuning to his inner wolf. Although he felt much calmer... peaceful...
Greyback had kidnapped an Asari child, and not only successfully turned her, but forced her to submit... by beating the shit out of her until she did.
The parents learned what happened, and it caused this huge inter-planetary incident, when the Lycans refused to return the child. After all, she was part of Greyback's pack now... linked to the pack through soul magic. Separating her from her Alpha would be devastating to both her, and the rest of the pack.
So the Lycans let Greyback keep her, but revoked his permission to leave Planet Wolf's Bane. The Asari government, always willing to compromise, agreed this was acceptable... even as the parents grieved over having their daughter taken from them.
But the Asari government came to understand nothing could be done... Werewolves even needed to turn children, as they are much more likely to survive the bite... although normally they turn teenagers.
Something good did come out of it, as Lucian negotiated for orphaned Asari teenagers, whom are most importantly, willing to be turned. Other species got on board. And now orphans, that most people thought too old to adopt, were given a loving family. In the form of a pack.
Part of the agreement, was teenagers got to choose whom would claim them. Although they were all turned by a Lycan, whom agreed NOT to claim the aliens. To better the blood purity of the werewolf packs.
... However, none of the Teenagers had gone with Greyback. Not that he even wanted teenagers... they were too... developed for his taste. Too much spirit, too many opinions of their own. They weren't nearly as malleable. Nope, the orphans wanted nothing to do with him. And he didn't exactly care for them either.
"Weren't you going to see your mate today?" Lucian returned to drinking his tea.
Remus blushed. Although not due to any shame. Male wizards could get pregnant, so the stigma against same sex couples never developed for magi. No the issue was how Lucian described it. "Mate" was an embarrassing way to say it.
"He's getting out of the hospital in a few hours. I'll meet him then."
"You planning on taking The Warlock's offer?" Lucian eyed, acting very civil for someone who literally ripped out a person's throat moments earlier.
Remus sighed, "I'll spend the hours, while everyone is at work, with our pack." Remus promised.
Lucian nodded, "That's acceptable. Although you should consider spending the weekends with the crew. I hear they spend them sailing the black, looking for adventure. Could be fun."
Remus gave a smile, realizing Lucian was actually giving his blessing.
Mal's crew was actually quite famous in the Magical Union. He and his crew were "The Big Damn Heroes". Saviors of the Magical Union. They had brought the secrets of space travel, and rescued the boy who lived. Even revealed the tyranny of Dumbledore, and vanquished him in the same breath. It was an honor to be accepted by their crew.
"Ya must be the crazy guy's lil man squeeze," was the first thing out of Jayne's mouth.
Remus just gaped at the audacity.
"Well that one's kinda horrific," Mal admitted, after he spent the fly here talking his crew up.
Sirius responded by slapping Remus' ass. "That's right," Sirius laughed, though glared in challenge. "Mine."
Remus wolf practically purred at being claimed by his "mate".
Jayne sighed. "Am i the only single guy left on this planet." He complained. "Even the insane mutt has a squeeze."
Sirius grinned wider.
Mal looked thoughtful, "I think Books still single.
"That's by choice." Jayne complained. "Even River has that Percy chap. While you're rutting that Tonks chick."
"I knew it!" Harry accused, as he walked into the room. "Why didn't you tell me your dating my cousin!? This is AWESOME!!!"
Mal groaned. He wasn't actually dating her, as they were more friends with Benefits. Sure he cared about her, but that came with the friends territory... and she was only sleeping with him because he didn't want her using her shaping shift in bed... he found it weird... and she found the notion someone didn't want her to twist her body to their taste... well it kinda got her hot.
"This is GREAT!!!" Sirius suddenly exclaimed. "I'll go fill out a marriage contract!!!"
Mal gaped, before remembering Sirius was the head of Tonk's family. Due to their connection to the Black family. The original Wizarding world was far too small... everyone was related to everyone else.
"Come on Harry!!!" Sirius cheered. "Let's go plan your Pa's wedding!!!"
Harry gave a cheer of his own, before following his godfather out the door.
Mal as left gaping. Before it hit him. Then he hit Jayne. "What the hell did you do!?" as the large man rubbed his jaw.
Remus sighed, before explaining. "There is no such thing as casual sex to Pure Bloods. As the original Wizarding species, instinctually mated for life. But Nym is a half blood, she was exposed to her Muggle born father's less traditional values... I'll explain things to them."
Mal shook, "I got it, this is my mess, I'll clean it up." He started to follow after the pair... though paused at the door. "Welcome to the mad house." He sighed, then left.
Jayne continued to rub his jaw, "I think i can hear it click."
