Chapter 26 — Happily-Ever After
Jacob
"C'mon, Jake, one more drink," said Embry.
"No way, old man," I said. "I don't think your aging liver could take it."
"Well your immortal liver can take it," slurred Quil. "It's your bachelor party! Only get one of these when you imprint, you know. Can't go for two like Embry, here."
"Fuck you," said Embry, laughing.
"I suppose Jake should probably get some sleep before the big day," said Seth, blurry-eyed.
"How is it that the youngest one is the most responsible?" I said.
"Youngest by like 3 years," Seth rolled his eyes.
Quil, Embry, and Seth were completely hammered and it was fun to watch. Their human bodies couldn't live up to my non-human alcohol consumption. I was nothing more than a little tipsy and they were having a hard time staying in their chairs.
"You guys are the ones who need some sleep," I said. "I'm gonna need you all looking sharp tomorrow."
"Don't worry, we'll be on time for your vampire wedding," said Quil.
"And not completely hungover?" I raised my eyebrows.
"No promises," said Seth.
"Well, get a good night's sleep and remember to drink lots of water," I said, rising from my seat.
"Buzzkill," said Embry, swaying slightly where he sat at his kitchen table.
I smiled. "See you guys tomorrow."
Once outside, I undressed and phased to run home. Running home tipsy was fun and being in wolf form helped me metabolize the alcohol better. It had been four months since Joham had kidnapped and tortured me. It had taken me almost a month to heal, to feel back to my normal self, with the help of the doctor and Nessie.
The closer I got to my house, the more pronounced the thrumming, hummingbird heartbeat became. I ran faster, eager to get to her. I was happy that she had decided to trash the tradition and come surprise me the night before the wedding. Although it wouldn't be much of a surprise since I could hear her a mile out.
Of course, I should have known that the surprise wouldn't just be her presence. I opened the door and found Nessie sitting at my kitchen table, completely naked, her pale skin glowing in the dim light of the kitchen.
"So," she began, casually, "how drunk are you?"
For a moment I couldn't speak. It didn't seem to matter how many times I saw her naked. She still continued to take my breath away.
"Not very," I finally managed. "Embry, Quil, and Seth are in much worse shape than me."
"Well, being human doesn't help their cause," she reasoned.
I walked forward and dropped to my knees in front of her. I kissed her stomach, her breasts, the insides of her thighs.
"So much for tradition, huh?" I said, kissing in between her legs.
She shuddered and sighed. "I've never been much for tradition. If I was, I definitely couldn't be wearing a white dress."
"What?" I spoke in between licks and sucks of her soft, wet pussy. "Are you telling me you're not a virgin?"
She leaned her head back and moaned.
"I don't think so," she said, panting slightly. "But maybe you should make sure, just in case."
In a moment I had my fly unzipped. I picked her up and held her to me, her legs wrapping around my waist. I entered her with a shudder. She buried her face in my neck, grabbing a fistful of my hair as I moved inside her. Slowly, I moved us towards the bedroom. We fell on the bed together and I began to thrust more urgently, pressing the full weight of my body against hers so I could be as deep inside her as possible. We stared into each other's eyes, fully connected in every way as she took me in. Then the look in her eyes changed and she began bucking her hips up to meet mine. She cried out, arching her back as she came. I tried not to cum as I watched her in pleasure. I didn't want this to end. I wanted to give her that pleasure all night. I rolled over and let her ride me, watching her come to orgasm again on my cock. Watching her body move and writhe over mine was driving me mad with pleasure. I grabbed her hips, moving more quickly. Then I sat up, needing to be closer to her, to be pressed against her. I kissed her hard and she responded enthusiastically.
"Nessie, you're driving me crazy," I growled in her ear.
"Show me how crazy," she breathed.
I slid my cock out from between her legs and grabbed a fistful of her hair bringing her down to suck my cock. I fucked her face until she was gagging. I knew how she liked it. Shaking and sweating, I flipped her over so that she was ass up with her face buried in the pillow. I entered her again, hard. My pelvis slamming against her perfect ass. I gripped her hips tightly. I heard her cum again and this time I couldn't stop myself. I flipped her over again, wanting to look into her eyes as I came. Waves of pleasure rushed over me as I fucked her, cumming deep inside her. I cried out and she grabbed my face, kissing me hard. Then, it was over. I collapsed on top of her, both of us panting.
"I don't think," she said catching her breath, "I'll ever get used to how amazing that feels."
I shook my head, trying to clear it.
"I don't ever want you to," I said. "I want to make you cum over and over."
"Well you do a great job of that," said Nessie, rolling over and smiling at me.
I stared into her eyes, captivated as I always was by her stare.
"I love you so much," I said.
"I love you, too," she said.
As we held each other, our naked bodies pressed against each other, I wondered how I'd ever let her go.
"Have I apologized yet for being an ass?" I said.
"Only about a million times," said Nessie.
"Well, I'm sorry," I said.
"Jacob," said Nessie. "You don't have to keep apologizing. I forgave you. None of it matters."
"I don't know how you could forgive me," I said with a sudden wave of emotion.
"I literally held your body while you were dying," Nessie said, quietly. "Nothing matters anymore. Even if you hadn't wanted to be with me still, I would love you forever."
I held her tightly to me, terrified at the thought of not being with her, of the possibility that I could ever have decided that fate.
"I'm just sorry it had to take me half-dying for us to be together," I said. "Although, I doubt I would have held out for much longer. Every time I saw your face, the less all of the other stuff mattered to me. It was just you and me. The rest wasn't important. It was what Leah was telling me all along."
"I'll give Leah that," said Nessie. "She is smart."
"It's weird, because she was the most grossed out by me imprinting on a half-vampire, but she was also the first one to say I had to be with you," I said, thoughtfully. "It was like she understood the dilemma in my head better than anyone else, but also knew better than anyone else how little it mattered."
We laid in silence for a while, then Nessie sighed.
"Three more hours until the wedding," she said. "What should we do?"
"The responsible thing to do would be to sleep," I said in mock seriousness.
"And yet, we're not going to do that," said Nessie, her lips trailing down my neck.
"Nope," I said, grinning. "This is still the dress rehearsal."
I rolled her onto her back again. We stared eagerly into each other's eyes.
"I love you, Jacob Black. Forever," she whispered.
"Forever," I agreed, and leaned my face down to kiss her.
