Lost Brothers and Cyborgs! - Looks Who Got New Neighbors!

Today Lotus did not walk home with Saiki as perusal. Instead, she had been caught by a teacher who was in need of help. Once she was done with the tasks she was free to go home.

Lotus was currently walking home when a worried voice entered her mind.

"~This is bad.~"

"Huh?"

Lotus turned the corner of the street spotting a green-haired boy, his height signaled he was either a grade-schooler in his last year or a middle schooler in their first year. He had short green hair and blue eyes. The boy was wearing a red shirt with black shorts.

What truly made Lotus stop and stare was the way the boy was acting. He was looking up and down the street with a frustrated scowl on his face.

"~That little idiot where is he?~"

The boy turned around looking even more frustrated.

"He's looking for someone."

Lotus approached the boy, and when she was close enough he turned facing her.

"What do you want!" The boy snapped

"Angry little guy huh?"

"Are you okay? Are you lost?" Lotus asked

"I'm not lost! What's it to you! What kind of weirdo just walks up to some random kid you weirdo!" The boy shouted

"He said weirdo twice."

Lotus wasn't deterred by the boy's harsh words knowing he was simply at that age, plus she could easily tell he was frustrated at the moment. She simply put on a smile which confuses the boy.

"~The heck? I yelled at her and she's smiling? She is a weirdo.~"

"My name is Lotus. What's yours?" Lotus asked

"Like I'm telling you!" The boy shouted

"Let me guess its...Kisho." Lotus said

"What?! How'd you know that! And if you knew why'd you ask, weirdo!" Kisho shouted

Lotus gave a small laugh, pointing at the bag on the boy's side. "It's stitched on your bag."

Kisho's eyes widened and he whipped his head down at the bag.

"So you can read huh! Good for you! Any idiot can do that!" Kisho shouted

"So are you going to tell me who you're looking for?" Lotus asked

"Like I'd tell you! How'd you know I was looking for someone anyway ya weirdo!" Kisho shouted

"Hmm…"

"Let me guess, it's your little brother," Lotus said

"What are you some kind of guessing machine!" Kisho shouted

"~How does she keep guessing right?~"

"It's okay to be worried about your little brother, it's only natural," Lotus said

"I never said I was worried bout him!" Kisho shouted

He clenched his fist frowning, Lotus could see from the corner of his eyes a few tears forming.

"Dumb Yuta, he's so annoying…."

"~Mom's always getting mad at me when I don't look after Yuta. It makes me feel bad that I let her down. If he's lost he could get hurt. And if he's hurt….~"

Lotus gave a small smile at the boy's thoughts. "Hehe, he's really worried about his brother."

"Do you know why older siblings are born?" Lotus asked

Kisho gave Lotus and odd look but shook his head no.

"To protect the siblings that come after. " Lotus said

She crouched down so she was closer to Kisho.

"Since your the older sibling you've got the responsibility of protecting your little brother. I know it may seem like your mother can be a bit harsh, but she's just worried about your well-being along with your brothers. She knows that you can be a responsible young man and take care of your brother, she trusts you to do so. It's a pretty important and big task, but she believes in you. But when you and your brother are older, you'll look out for each other. But right now you gotta watch out for your brother and help guide him, it's okay to get a little frustrated now and again but don't forget your mother and brother both love you okay?"

Kisho kept his head down, Lotus's words sinking in. He nodded his head in understanding.

Lotus giggled patting Kisho's head. Kisho huffed but didn't push the girl's hand away.

"Don't worry I'll help you find your brother okay."

The young boy looked to Lotus. The girl was smiling holding her hand out and the way the light was angled behind her caused a halo-like glow.

Whispers and giggles sounded around Lotus and Kisho as the two walked down the street. All eyes glanced their way finding the scene cute.

Kisho was holding Lotus's hand walking rather close to her. He kept his head down but his cheeks were flushed.

Lotus used her telepathy to search around for both Kisho's brother and his mother. It seemed like her telepathy didn't stretch far enough to locate either, but Lotus wasn't going to give up.

The sun was starting to set when Lotus finally located Kisho's family. Luckily both the young boy's mother and brother were together.

"Mom!" Kisho called out running over to the woman.

"Kisho!" The woman cried out running over to the boy. She dropped to her knees as she examined the boy. "Are you okay? Where have you been?"

"I was...looking for Yuta, Mom, I'm so-!"

Kisho was cut off as his monster wrapped him in a big hug.

"Don't scare me like that again! I was so worried when I saw that you and Yuta were gone."

Lotus smiled seeing the worried affection the mother gave to her son. Kisho hugged his mother back looking at Lotus. The teen gave a small wave before walking off.

"Kisho! Kisho!"

"Yuta, you little idiot! Why'd you run off!" Kisho shouted

"Kisho, I found Cyborg Cyderman No. 2!" Yuta said

"Cyborg Cyderman No. 2? Seriously?" Kisho said

"He's been talking about him ever since I found him," Their mother said

Lotus was halfway home when she ran into someone else, this time it was someone quite familiar to her.

"Saiki? What are you doing here? I would've thought you'd be home by now." Lotus asked

"It's a long story."

When Saiki and Lotus arrived at their homes the sun had already set. The two were in front of Saiki's home when they heard a female voice coming from their right.

"Oh hell there! Were the Iridatsu family. We just moved in next door today."

A mother with her two children walked over to Saiki and Lotus greeting the two.

"Aren't they…?"

Lotus was surprised to see Kisho and his family, while Saiki was stunned.

The littlest boy Yuta, was gaping staring at Saiki with stars in his eyes.

He let out a gasp, "Cyborg Cyderman No. 2 it's him! He's here! I told you, Mom! I told you! Kisho look I told you I found Cyborg Cyderman No. 2 and there he is!"

"Stop shouting," Kisho grumbled

"He's my new neighbor?"

"Well, this just can't be a coincide."

Lotus made eye contact with Kisho and gave the boy a small smile. The boy flinched and looked away from the girl, his cheeks flushing.

"Why is he looking at me like that?"

Kisho turned his attention away from Lotus staring at Saiki, glaring at the teen. When his eyes connected with Saiki's the boys' glare got even harder.

"Great…."
