HamClad - So, with Lotus's powers, Saiki can't openly read her thoughts. Whenever he does she just absorbs the power, like the way you pour water on a sponge. That acts like a sort of mental block preventing Saiki from reading Lotus's thoughts. Now, Lotus can project her thoughts into Saiki's mind allowing them to communicate telepathically. She can also lower her "mind block" and allow Saiki to read her thoughts but that takes a lot of concentration. Thank you for all the reviews.

~Thoughts of Others~

The Summer Festival - What Was Grabbed?!

"Ahhh I'm so excited!"

Ethan had been on a creative spree getting ready for the upcoming summer festival. He had a huge task load creating and designing masks, yukata's, ornaments, and various other wears for the festival, which also included outfits for Violet and Lotus.

The two sisters were currently in Ethan's workspace as he worked on their outfits. Instead of Yukata's Ethan was making the girls Kimono's, remarkably beautiful Kimono's.

Violet's was a light lavender decorated with blue cranes that flew across the fabric along with a white obi. Lotus's was light pink with red flowers along with an orange obi.

"These are gorgeous Ethan, but don't you think this a bit much for one festival?" Lotus questioned

"No!" Both Ethan and Violet shouted

"Lotus it's our first festival in years, plus its Ethan's first festival in Japan," Violet said

Ethan eagerly nodded his head, "I want to see both of my girls shine this festival."

"We'll be the most dazzling trio at the festival!" Violet cheered

"I'm gonna bring my best camera so I can capture every moment!" Ethan said

"I'll bring mine too!" Violet said

"Double the cameras means double the opportunity to capture everything!" Ethan said

"You two just keep getting more ridiculous."

"Will any of your friends be going to the festival?" Violet asked her sister.

"Hmmm? I hadn't heard of anyone say they were going," Lotus said

"What about Little Ku from across the street?" Violet asked

"Saiki?" Lotus questioned

"If anyone wouldn't want to come to a festival it'd be Saiki. But maybe even Saiki would like to go to a festival, I mean the food from the stands might convince him."

"Maybe I should ask him…" Lotus mumbled

"I can't believe I'm actually going to do this."

Lotus stood outside Saiki's house standing at the front door contemplating actually ringing the doorbell.

"Well I'm already here, might as well."

Lotus swallowed her nerves and rung the doorbell. Normally whenever Lotus came over it was Saiki who answered but this time it was his father.

"Hello, Mr. Saiki. Nice to see you," Lotus greeted with a bow.

"Hello to you too, Lotus," Kuniharu greeted back

"Sorry to bother you. I'm just here looking for Saiki," Lotus said

Kuniharu smiled waving his hand. "You're not a bother at all. Maybe some of those good manners of yours can rub off my son. He's always been rough and prickly like a cactus, especially to his old man."

Lotus just gave an awkward chuckle, sweatdropping.

"Hold on just a moment and I'll go get Kuso," Kuniharu said

Kuniharu went back into the house and a few moments later Saiki appeared.

"Hello." Lotus greeted

"Hello."

The two stood in silence before Lotus started to speak up.

"So uhm….Well…" She nervously twirled a piece of hair between her fingers. "There's a summer festival coming. I didn't know if you were aware or not, but I wanted to invite you. My family will be going, and I was wondering if you wanted to join us, unless you were already planning to."

"You know how I feel about crowds."

Lotus almost flinched but held it back rubbing the back of her head.

"Yeah, but festivals do have great food."

Saiki hummed putting a hand on his chin. "That is true. I do have some fond memories of my parents taking me."

Saiki looked at Lotus as she was giving him one of her smiles. He knew the girl wouldn't force him nor pressure him into going to the festival, but it's hard to say no to that look. Saiki held back a sigh, crushes were such a hassle. He kept thinking back on his nice memories of going to the festival with his parents and the idea of creating new ones with Lotus didn't seem so bad.

"I might go."

At those words Lotus's smile brightened.

"But I probably won't stay too long."

"That's fine! I'll be happy to see you there. Violet, Ethan, and I are going to get there just after sunset. So if you come just let me know, and we can meet up. Hope to see you there Saiki!"

Lotus gave the boy a wave before making her way back home.

"Ahhh! It's absolutely perfect!"

*SNAP*

"Truly a work of art!"

*SNAP SNAP*

"This is the best kimono yet!"

*SNAP SNAP*

"Ethan your truly a genius of your craft!"

Lotus wore a smile but had a large sweatdrop rolling down the back of her head. Ethan had put the final touches on her kimono and she put on the outfit getting ready for the festival. When she revealed the finished product to Violet and Ethan, the couple immediately whipped out their cameras and started taking photos.

Lotus had put her hair up in a bun with a silver hairpiece clipped into her locks. Ethan had also made her a purse that paired perfectly well with her outfit.

"If you two keep this up we're going to be late," Lotus said

"Just a few more! We promise!" Violet said

"You said that 5 minutes ago!"

"Don't you two have your own outfits to put on?" Lotus asked

Ethan gasped, "She's right! Violet, my love, you must put on your kimono so I can capture some photos of you as well!"

"Alright! After that then I can take pictures with Lotus!" Violet said

"Excellent idea! My beautiful lovely Violet with the cute adorable Lotus, ah! What an amazing pair you'll make!" Ethan said

"This...going to go on for a while…."

Luckily by the time Lotus was able to get Violet and Ethan out of the house the festival was just getting into full swing. Violet and Lotus walked side by side drawing in a lot of attention. Ethan caught a few eyes of his own, but he kept a step or two behind the sisters acting as some kind of watchdog, glaring at any male that even attempted to glance at Violet or Lotus.

"Ah, it feels like forever since I've been to one of these!" Violet smiled

"What should we do first?" Lotus asked

"Maybe some game booths first then food? This will be Ethan's first festival, so we wanna give him the full experience," Violet said

"Right!" Lotus cheered

The family of three played a few games, Ethan winning Violet a prize, took some pictures, and were now getting some food.

"How about some Takoyaki? I've always wanted to try some and never got the chance," Ethan said

"Sounds good," Violet said

"Yeah great choice Ethan," Lotus said

Ethan and Violet approached the booth ordering while Lotus stood a bit behind them waiting. She glanced around the crowds noting how much more packed the festival had gotten.

Suddenly Lotus felt something brush behind her, but she paid no mind seeing as she was in a large group of people. But that small brush turned into a full-on grope as Lotus's backside was given a firm squeeze.

"Ahh!" Lotus squeaked jumping forward into Violet.

"Something wrong, Lotus?" Violet asked

Lotus's face was red as she spoke to her sister. "Some guy just grabbed me!"

*CRACK*

"What."

Lotus almost flinched as the takoyaki stick her sister was holding snapped in half.

Ethan stepped up already putting a piece of takoyaki in his mouth. He raised a brow confused seeing Violet's food on the floor.

"Something happen? Violet, did you drop your food? Don't worry we can share." He said

"Some pervert groped Lotus," Violet stated with deadly calmness.

Ethan coughed choking on his food before spitting it. He let out a few hacking coughs trying to catch his breath before whipping his head to Lotus.

"Someone did what!?"

"I-" Lotus paused as she lifted her arm, something felt off. "Huh?" She blinked looking down to see her purse was now open. She went pale quickly putting two and two together. "N-No way!" She dug her hands into her purse to find her wallet gone. "No way!"

"So some pervert grabbed me then stole my wallet! And since I was in such a large crowd and not paying any attention I have no clue who did it!"

"Ahh, no way!" Lotus shouted grabbing her head. "That guy stole my wallet!"

"So it's not only perv but a thief as well," Ethan said

"How dare some pervert not only touch Lotus but steal from her too. He dies," Violet hissed

"My Queen, Violet, allow me to procure us a weapon," Ethan said

"Good idea. Once I find that thief he'll wish a demon had dragged him to the gates of the underworld." Violet said

"That thief should pray the cops get to him first before Ethan and Violet."

Lotus split away from Ethan and Violet doing her best to use telepathy to locate the thief.

"Where is he? Where is he?! Where the heck is he!?"

Lotus didn't care at all about the odd looks she was getting as she frantically darted around the crowd moving her head in a wild motion.

"There's so many people! I can't find him!" Lotus internally cried throwing her arms up grabbing her head.

In an angered huff she threw her arms down looking back into the sea of people. Lotus paused when she caught sight of familiar pink hair.

"Saiki!"

Saiki had arrived at the festival and was in the process of looking around while at the same time casually searching for Lotus. With such a large crowd it was hard for him to use telepathy to locate the girl, and he didn't bring his phone, so he couldn't call her either. Going through the crowd Saiki was able to avoid both Nendou and Kaidou, he did come across Hairo, but that was a fleeting moment he hopes to forget.

He came across a candy apple stand and just couldn't resist. He walked over the seller asking for two.

"That's 600 yen."

Saiki stuck his hand in his pocket but found nothing.

"What? My wallet is gone."

"Something wrong?" The Candy Apple Seller asked

"Did I drop it? No. I don't make mistakes like that."

"~Hehe it's easy to pickpockets in such a big crowd.~"

"~I'd like a hot dog.~"

"~When are the fireworks?~"

"~Darn my hair came undone again.~"

"There's so many people I can't tell who's saying what."

"It's gone!"

A few feet away Takahashi was shouting while searching through his pockets.

"My wallet! Someone must've taken it!" Takahashi shouted

"Seriously dude? How much cash was in it?"

"On the way over I remember you saying you put every single last penny from summer that you earned in there."

"Sounds like Takahashi got pickpocketed like I say you gotta pay attention at all times in crowds like this. What a joke-!"

Saiki froze his eyes widening realization slowly sinking in.

"Pick-Pickpocketed. I can't deny it anymore, he must've gotten me too. I got ripped off. I, the all-seeing psychic got ripped off!"

"Whoa, Takahashi just broke!"

Takahashi was having a mental breakdown, drooling at the mouth shaking wildly.

"I can't laugh I feel the same way. I've never felt so humiliated." A dark shadow was cast over Saiki's eyes as rage quickly set in. "Hehe, festival sure are fun, aren't they? Well, guess what Mr. Pickpocket now I'm gonna make you pay with interest!"

"Saiki!"

Saiki turned hearing his name and saw Lotus running towards him. His eyes widened stunned as he took in her outfit. Her kimono complimented her perfectly and fit her body perfectly in every way. For the moment the fact that his wallet had been stolen left his mind.

*DOKI DOKI DOKI*

"Saiki! I'm so glad you're here-wait I can't talk now! Some perverted pickpocket pilfered from my precious purse!" Lotus said

"That's a lot of P's in a row. Wait did you say, pervert pickpocket?"

Lotus nodded her head quickly. "Yes! He, I'm assuming he, grabbed my butt then while I was distracted he snatched my wallet right out of my purse."

Saiki's eyes narrowed to a deadly gaze. "He did what?"

Now Saiki was definitely going to make that thief pay.

"What?! You got robbed too!" Lotus exclaimed

"Yeah," Saiki nodded his head

"Grrr! I'm so angry! We gotta find him and make him pay!" Lotus said

"Right. But it's going to be hard to find him with telepathy alone in such a large crowd. I'll have to lure him out. This should work."

"Saiki? What are you doing?" Lotus asked

"I'm going to swap my wallet for a motorcycle."

Lotus snorted out a laugh. "That's golden."

"Use clairvoyance to seek out a big commotion."

"Right!"

Lotus crossed her eyes searching the festival until she found a large crowd gathered around something. With a closer look she was able to see a motorcycle on top of a fallen guy.

"Found him. Let's go get him. Here we can use these." Lotus spoke holding up two masks.

The wallet thief had run off from the festival into the surrounding wooded area. He didn't make it far as he ran into something falling down.

"Ow! Stupid tree-?! AHHHHHHH!"

"Did you get my present?"

Both Saiki and Lotus were sporting ghoulish Oni masks.

"I found an abandoned motorcycle and after fixing it up it was the same value as my wallet, so I switched the two."

"Then with the use of clairvoyance all we had to do was find the commotion in the crowd, and that led us right to you."

"Who the hell are you two!?" The Thief cried out scooting backwards.

"All you need to know is not to steal a psychic's wallet-"

"As well as touch a girl inappropriately-"

"Because there are grave consequences!"

Saiki and Lotus's masks morphed into horrendous monsters.

"AHHHHHH!"

Saiki retrieved the bag with all the wallets. He dug inside the bag pulling out a pink wallet.

"Ah, thank you, Saiki." Lotus smiled as Saiki handed her back her wallet. "Alright, now what do we do? Should we hand the wallets over to the police?" She questioned

"That'll take too long. I've got a better quicker idea."

A trio of friends walked through the festival, looking pretty down just as Saiki and Lotus walked by them.

"Hey! I found my wallet!"

"Three more to go. I could have just let the police handle this part, but it would've taken too long for everyone to get their wallets back, and that would just ruin the fun of the festival."

"Plus with the use of psychometry we can easily find out who the wallets belong too. But it's so amazing how you were able to easily catch that guy, you impress me more and more every day Saiki."

Saiki felt a bit of pride swell in him as he pushed up his glasses pulling out the next wallet.

"Hm?"

Opening the wallet there was an insignia on the inside saying Jet Black Wings.

"Huh, well then…" Lotus said looking at the symbol.

"My wallet is gone! Dark Reunion stole it!" Kaidou shouted

"This it."

Saiki chucked the wallet and it landed on Kaidou's head.

"Everyone I know looks like an idiot tonight. We'll just two more to go."

"My wallet is gone! It was here a moment ago!" Hairo shouted

Hairo was still only in a loincloth from a performance he had been apart of earlier, so it made the two psychics wonder where he kept his wallet in the first place. Saiki chucked the wallet just like with Kaidou's.

Saiki held up the last wallet which was more like a change purse.

"I wonder whose wallet this is?"

"Hey, buddy is that my missing wallet?" Nendou spoke appearing behind Lotus and Saiki.

"It figures."

Nendou's statement caught both the attention of Kaidou and Hairo.

"Whoa Saiki's at the festival!" Kaidou exclaimed

"Saiki, Nendou, Lotus, what's up guys!" Hairo greeted

"Heeeyy, they found me after all. Which reminds me, I didn't find Takahashi's wallet."

After spending some time with Kaidou, Nendou, and Hairo, Lotus and Saiki were finally able to break away from the group so it was just the two of them. The crowd had only gotten larger as more people showed up at the festival. It was starting to get harder for Lotus and Saiki to walk next to one another as people kept coming in between them.

Lotus was about to lose Saiki in the crowd when suddenly a hand shot out grabbing her own.

"Huh?"

Lotus looked up to see Saiki facing forward not looking at her, but as she glanced down she could see her hand firmly in his grasp.

"The crowd is too big. This is so we don't get separated."

Lotus's cheeks turned pink, "R-Right."

Hand in hand Lotus and Saiki walked around enjoying all that the festival had to offer.

Lotus and Saiki strolled through the festival going past a game booth. It was a simple game where you used a ball to knock down some stacked bottles. A kid was in the middle of throwing his last ball, missing the target.

"Tough luck kid."

The Vendor snickered as he watched the kid hang his head in disappointment. The young boy was about to turn away and leave before a hand fell on his shoulder.

Lotus smiled looking down at the young boy.

"Hey there, do you want that?" She asked pointing at an action figure.

"Yeah…" The boy answered nodding his head.

"Don't worry I'll get it for you."

At those words, the boy's eyes lit up. "Really!"

"Yup just leave it to me!" Lotus said

Lotus stepped up to the booth placing some money down. "Three balls please."

The vendor's attitude shifted a perverse smirk coming to his face as he stared at Lotus.

"Think you can handle it, sweetcheeks?" The Vendor said

"Sweetcheeks?"

Lotus clenched the ball her hand so tightly she was lucky she didn't crush it. She gave the vendor a tight-lipped smile doing her best to hold back her anger.

"I'm sure I can handle it." She said through gritted teeth.

The Vendor smirked, "It's a pretty hard game to win at. If you like I could show you a few tricks of my own." He chuckled leaning in closer to Lotus.

*SMACK*

The Vendor jumped as Saiki got in between him and Lotus slapping some money on the counter.

"I'm playing too."

The Vendor clicked his tongue, "Sure whatever."

Lotus and Saiki picked up their balls and simultaneously threw them.

*WHOOSH*

The balls zoomed through the air, knocking down the bottles as well as the back wall of the booth.

"Ahh! My booth!"

"Here you go." Lotus smiled handing the toy over to the boy.

"Thank you, Big Sis!"

Lotus giggled watching the boy happily run off into the crowd.

"I wonder where his parents are?"

As Lotus turned back around she was met with the face of a pink and green bear, the prize Saiki had won.

"Here. You can have it." Saiki held the stuffed plush out to Lotus.

"Your...giving it to me?" Lotus asked surprised

"Take it." Saiki put the stuffed toy in Lotus's hand.

Lotus stared at the toy with pink cheeks before holding it close with a bright smile.

*DOKI*

Saiki adjusted his glasses a small smile forming from seeing Lotus's smile, and this time he didn't look away.

The Pickpocket laid defeated against the side of the road. He was tied up with tape put across his mouth. Fastened to his chest was a sign that said "I turn myself in.", a gift left by Lotus and Saiki. The man was unable to do anything as he waited for the cops to come.

"Well, well, well…"

The Pickpocket looked up and went pale at the sight before him.

Violet cracked her knuckles as she wore a twisted smirk, her eyes shining with deadly intent. Next to her was Ethan wearing the same kind of smirk, but he had one of the game booths cap guns in his hands.

"Looky what we found here," Ethan said

"A pervert and a thief. This calls for double punishment, don't you agree?" Violet asked

"Right you are my dear. We've got plenty of time before the cops arrive." Ethan said

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"
