Minori and Badgerclops VS Razorback

Adorabat, still in the living room, was using her favorite crayons to do her drawing assignment for school. The assignment was to draw what was important to you. So obviously she drew Mao Mao, Badgerclops, and herself being awesome heroes, and beating down on monsters.

Halfway through the coloring process, Adorabat took a moment to look at the image of Mao Mao she drew. Casting a glimpse up the stairs to the door to their room, she was worried for the well-being of her friend and mentor.

After Badgerclops left to get more jam, Mao Mao went straight upstairs with his food and locked himself in their room. Ever since, not even so much as a peep has come from behind that door.

Adorabat, being only five, didn't know what to do in this situation. She started to wonder where Badgerclops was, he had been gone for nearly half an hour, the sun was going to set soon.

Thinking about how Mao Mao has been in a negative mood lately, she started to come up with an idea to cheer him up. Abandoning her school work, she went to get pencil and paper to put her grand idea in motion.

Badgerclops dove out of the way as the Razorback charged past him and the female cat. The creature kept going for a little while as it slowed itself down.

They'd been fighting for nearly twenty minutes, but neither he, nor the martial artist, have made any leeway. The creature had no plans of letting the cat get anywhere near it, and Badgerclops' lasers just reflected off of its shiny blades.

Exhausted, Badgerclops was starting to slow down. Mao Mao and Adorabat often distracted the creature while he provided cover fire. All of this running around, it was a bit out of character for him.

"This *gasp* is getting *gasp* old *gasp* real fast." Badgerclops wheezed, his hands on his knees.

The female cat took notice and smirked. "What's wrong?" She asked sarcastically. "Need another doughnut?"

"Yeah. You *gasp* got one?" He asked.

The martial artist laughed and charged into the fray once again. Geez, in terms of charging in without thinking, this woman could give Mao Mao a run for his money.

As she got near the reptile, it swung its tail in a wide arc, forcing her to jump back out of reach of the monster.

"Do you even have a plan?" Badgerclops asked the martial artist.

"Pfft, of course I have a plan!" Stated the martial artist, to which Badgerclops simply rolled his eye. "I've fought creatures similar to this one before. If this thing is anything like those, it should have a nerve cluster somewhere on its neck. All I have to do is pinch it."

"You're not even one hundred percent sure that the nerve cluster is there?" Sais Badgerclops, suddenly being hit by a wave of déjà vu. This exact scenario was a doppelgänger of Mao Mao and the Jade Wasps!

"You need to relax." The woman said as she faced Badgerclops. "If you worry about every little thing, you'll have gray hair before your even thirty."

While the woman had her back turned to the monster, it took the opportunity and started another charge. As it built up speed, it curled up into a sphere of blades, and instant death, as it made its way straight toward the martial artist.

"Look out!" Yelled Badgerclops, as he started to make his way to the cat. But he wasn't fast enough. The Razorback ran right over the woman, she never even saw it coming.

The Razorback rolled straight past Badgerclops, as the the badger made his way to the downed cat. As he stared down at the faced down, lifeless body, he came to a realization. He couldn't protect his best friend, and now he couldn't even protect a random stranger.

"No! This is all my fau-" Badgerclops was interrupted halfway through his sentence when the cat jumped up gasping for air. "Oh, your okay. How are you okay?"

The cat waved her arm in a way where her golden bangles caught the light of the setting sun. "My bangles give me the power of impenetrable defense, I'm essentially indestructible."

"Wow, as cool as that is, that was still pretty reckless." He said, relieved that the same mistake didn't happen twice. "I swear, your almost as irresponsible as my friend. You two would probably get along great."

"Probably not," replied the martial artist with a wide grin. "My sisters say I'm too headstrong to act in a group. But thanks anyway."

"Well, neither of us are making a lot of headway. You wanna team up for a bit?"

"Sounds nice, but it'll have to be no more than thirty seconds. Any longer and this truce will fall apart pretty fast, believe me."

Confused, Badgerclops just went along with it. If this went too much longer, the sun would set and they'd both be stuck in the dark with a large predator.

"Fine, I'll work on keeping it in place. You just be ready with that nerve pinch."

"Sounds like a plan to me!" She said giving Badgerclops a thumbs up. "But I'd be a fool to trust someone whose name I don't know."

"Oh, right. My name's Badgerclops, one of the Deputies of Pure Heart Valley."

"Nice to meet ya. I'm Minori Mao."

Mao? That was Mao Mao's last name. Then that means she's one of his sisters? Mao Mao never really talked too much about them, usually whenever he talked about his family, it involved his father and his issues with his father. But never his sisters.

Thinking about it, the resemblance was obvious. Black fur, green eyes, and she was just as reckless as he was.

The Razorback let out a terrifying roar that shook both Badgerclops and Minori to their bones, even the circuits in Badgerclops' arm were trembling.

"I notice it always attacks in a straight line." Examined Badgerclops. "It must not be able to make sharp turns."

"Okay, but those blades don't really make it easy in pinning it to the ground or anything." Minori retorted as she pulled her torn cape off her shoulders and tossed it to the side.

"You just leave that to me." Badgerclops started fiddling with his robo-arm, changing from lasers to electrical blasts. With this, the electricity will travel from the metallic blades to the creature itself.

The only issue being how much voltage to hit it with. Too much will short-circuit his arm, too little and the creature won't even feel it.

The Razorback immediately started making its way to the two, gradually building up speed. Badgerclops started with his shock cannon at 5,000 volts on rapid-fire.

As the Razorback went into its ball form, Badgerclops unleashed a volley of electrical blasts. Even though a majority of the blasts hit their target, the Razorback showed no signs of slowing down.

Badgerclops and Minori dived out of the way of the Razorback, barely avoiding the spiked ball of death. When Minori pulled herself up from the dirt ground, she looked towards Badgerclops with an annoyed fire in her eyes.

"What was that? I thought you were trying to keep it still, not give it shock therapy." Yelled Minori, clearly pissed at Badgerclops' failed attempt.

"Just give me a minute, I've never dealt with a creature like this before." Said Badgerclops, amplifying the charge to 25,000 volts.

When the creature came to a stop, Badgerclops unleashed another volley of electrical blasts while it was sitting still. This time the Razorback gave a reaction to the series of shocks that Badgerclops delivered, it recoiled, but it didn't show signs of taking any real damage.

"Getting there." Badgerclops murmured to himself as he upped the voltage yet again.

"Would you hurry up!" Minori yelled, an annoyed tone in her voice. "The thirty seconds are almost up!"

This time Badgerclops turned the voltage up to 55,000 volts, this is probably the most he could do without short-circuiting his arm. Badgerclops never really bothered to test his arm's limits because fixing a busted circuit was really annoying. In hindsight, it would've been smarter to test his arm's limits outside of an actual battle like this one.

"I got it!" Yelled back Badgerclops, getting annoyed himself at Minori's short temper. "Take this!"

Minori saw what Baderclops was doing and rushed the Razorback to divert its attention to her instead. Badgerclops, instead of unleashing a volley, fired a concentrated shot.

Minori had positioned herself in front of Badgerclops' shock blast, hiding their true intentions from the Razorback. When the giant reptile saw Minori, its eyes narrowed; the creature curled into a ball and raced to meet her halfway, its shining blades making it resemble that of a fast spinning disco ball.

Minori was currently stuck between a rock and a hard place, she was trying to outrun electricity while dashing at a rapidly spinning monster. Even though she'd be fine if she got hit by either one, she'd still feel the pain.

When Minori was so close she could practically see her own reflection in the Razorback's spinning blades, she dove out of the way, letting the beast run into Badgerclops' shock blast.

Letting out a bloodcurdling roar, the beast collapsed; the scales at the base of each of its blades were charred, showing that the blast worked this time.

While the Razorback was trying to recover from the electrical surge that just went through its body, Minori quickly pulled herself off the ground and ran at the paralyzed monster.

The Razorback noticed Minori charging it, it went to raise itself off the ground. That was until Badgerclops sent another pulse of electricity throughout its body.

When the charge finally finished going through the Razorback, Minori came up on the monsters neck, brushing her hands across its muscles looking for the nerve cluster.

"Come on, come on." She said to herself. "Where is it? Ah, here."

Finally finding the cluster, she grabbed it with her thumb and index finger and gave it a hard pinch. Shortly after, the Razorback fell unconscious where it lay.

"Phew," sighed Minori, relieved that their struggle had finally come to an end. "For once, I think I'm done fighting."

Badgerclops approached the fallen monster and Minori, who was resting against the monster's flank. Based on the monster's even breathing, it was safe to assume that it was unconscious.

"What do we do with it?" Asked Badgerclops, unsure where to go from here.

"One step at a time BC." Replied Minori. "One step at a time."

Back in the center of Pure Heart Valley, the royal King Snugglemane XXV sat in his throne, enjoying his dessert of strawberry tarts.

Snugglemane had heard about how his town Sheriff had been hurt a few days prior, and it lead to a steep drop in morale around the kingdom.

He needed a way to get everyone back in high spirits, some way to put this whole fiasco behind them. Preferably some sort of event, something everyone could participate in.

The King stared intently at one of the pastries he held in his hand, almost as if hoping to find some sort of muse in the dessert.

Pastry. Patry. Party. That's it! A party of some sort, that would raise everyone's spirits.

"Quinton!" The King half yelled. The tone the King used was one everyone was familiar with, it was the tone he used whenever he was about to make a royal decree. "Make the arrangements! In two weeks from now, we will have a grand party that will put any other parties we throw in the near future look shameful!"

Quinton, the blue bird who acted as the King's royal attendant, simply bowed his head and left to make the arrangements.
