As by now New Year has passed, I am busy trying to work as much on the stories as possible. With now the Naruto/MHA 'A Quirky Tutor' story coming up with a new update (working on it) and the Naruto/Avatar 'Altered Destiny' being worked on. I am also busy thinking of already expanding the Naruto GTA Gaiden series.

But enjoy the story now as next chapter will see the end of the Impel Down Arc.

Staircase level 3

The appearance of Blackbeard in front of Naruto was worth paying attention to. Now both captains faced off against each other, glaring silently at each other.

The smile on Teach's face couldn't grow any wider as he stood in front of the person he wanted to meet.

"Zehahaha!" Teach laughed and spoke. "So the rumors are true - the Cunning Fox has cheated death yet again."

Still staring at the beaten Hannyabal, Naruto only partly listened to the new arrival as he rose to his feet and faced them. Once he stood up, he could see his forehead bleeding slightly, but just enough for a small stream to be falling over his face.

"Fancy seeing you here," he said, unbothered by his wounds, "Come to turn yourself in, Teach?"

…

On the sidelines and directly behind Naruto, the mere sight of the person who now got several people to recognize him.

"That guy." Luffy said, recognizing him at the spot. "I met him in Jaya."

"Wait, wait, wait." Gin said, having just arrived and asked him. "Straw Hat, where did you see this guy?"

Luffy turned to Gin to answer him. "I met this guy in Jaya. He was hanging out there in Mock Town."

"You mean this bastard was there - ALL THIS TIME?"

*Click!*

*Clank!*

The numerous sounds of guns being readied surrounded Luffy as he just saw every one of Naruto's men having their weapons readied. With every pistol, rifle, bazooka and anything else that was in their hands was now aimed at the new group that just entered Level 3.

Then tensions clearly had risen to a new degree.

…

Blackbeard even noticed the large crowd with the familiar faces, his smile grew bigger at those pointing their guns at him.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the Infamous 9th Damned Raiders." He said with a chuckle that sounded genuine. "I see you have moved yourselves to killing prison guards now. Expending your target base?"

Some of the Raiders were seen to be agitated, looking through the visors of their rifles at Teach.

"Hmmph, I can see some straight shooters in here." Van Augur said, eyeing some of those within the crowd with his rifle. "Should I perhaps deal with them?"

"No need for that." Blackbeard said with his smile. "We didn't come here to pick a fit…not now at least…"

The two captains stared at each other again, with both men keeping their focus like their men, but the decision laid in their hands.

….

"I'm not fighting this out here," Naruto said as he made his intentions clear. "I've got a execution to stop, so how about we agree to postpone this fight for now?"

Blackbeard smirked. "Agreed on that. Why not?"

"HUH?" The reactions from the crowd were mostly like that. "WHAT?!"

That of the Raiders however were more calm, but still concerning as one even begged to differ.

"Sir, are you sure?" He asked standing behind his captain. "Give us the order and we can-"

"Spare your bullets." Naruto held his arm in front of the rifle, lowering it even down. "We've got bigger problems now, like our pursuers."

Luffy however wasn't having it, his rage was brewing. The bastard who threw his brother in here in the first place was right in front of him, so he stepped forwards.

"So you're… Blackbeard!"

The sudden intrusion of Luffy got then Teach to lay his focus on him, as he recognized him and smiled.

"Oh right, I guess I never gave you my name. Did I?"

"I guess that's something you usually do, Teach." Naruto said, reminding him with an equal glare. "Just like what you did back then…remember?"

The moment that Blackbeard was given only made his grin grew wider as he remembered precisely what he meant by.

"Zehahaha! I remember, yeah! How could I forget." Teach smirked and said out. "Battle of the Hidden Rain, December 1520. That was a time to be around, wasn't it not?"

…

The spectators from the back, especially those who didn't know what that they were talking about, the first questions were being asked by the prisoners.

"Hidden Rain, what's that about?"

"I don't know, I've been in this place for 10 years now? Sounds like a joke-"

"SHUT YOUR MOUTH!"

The prisoners shrieked in fear by the sudden outburst, that came from Jimbei himself who was shutting them up.

Crocodile, who was quietly standing by was watching all of this alongside Ivankov and his Okama followers, who were also paying attention.

"The fact he brought it up, he has some nerves. "Jimbei stated with restrained anger. "Especially in front of Naruto."

…

The mere mention alone made Blackbeard to remind some of the detail from that battle.

"The Hidden Rain….oh what a sight it was. Almost like if Heaven itself was raining down fire on that place. With the shelling on that fortress for weeks. With even its highest towers burning so much that even the constant rain that land is plagued with couldn't stop it." Blackbeard laughed at remember that. "Tell me, what was it that those planes were dropping in the night over that village, Laffitte?"

"Some sort of metal, I heard." Laffitte said tipping his hat slightly? "One of that doesn't mix well with water and it can set something ablaze at the slightest touch - Magnesium."

Naruto's hands were seen gripping, all while listening.

"Enough o' that fancy talk," said Teach, grinning at his crew, "Tell me what happened there, will ya?"

"Oh, it's quite simple: it incinerates everything in its path." Lafitte continued. "Houses, business, towers, wells, anything that it touches would be set ablaze."

"Oh yeah, now I recall. That was a beautiful display if I may say it like that." Teach said with a chuckle. "A whole Shinobi village on fire, from the ground and the air, it would put something like the Buster Call to shame, I say."

"With the amount of burn victims, It would make the Buster Call merciful." The sickly looking Doc Q even added. "If you didn't die, the scars were worse to live with…"

Some angered faces turned very grim at the description.

"All those lives, ruined and laid into ashes." Teach sneered it right in.

"Tell me, in all honesty. Did you enjoy watching it?-"

"!"

"Huh?"

Then out of nowhere, a large amount of dark energy could be felt that nearly made everyone in the nearby area to feel it in a swift moment, with some even feeling the weight of such energy in their spines.

"What-" Blackbeard felt uneasy with this power before he recognizes it. "Wait, its Killer Intent-"

*SLASH!*

And without any given warning, Naruto used his Tantō blade to lay a hit across Teach's chest, with blood seen spurting out of it with the man roaring in pain.

"AAAAH!"

Jesus shouted. "Captain!"

"He did it! He laid a hit on Blackbeard!" One of the Raiders shouted.

Naruto however wasn't done as he was seen bringing out his Katana blade out, as he looked like he was going for Teach's head-

*Grab!*

But Blackbeard however grabbed the blade by the tip, squeezing it in his hand as the black darkness surrounded him as he grinned maniacally.

"You're mine, kid!" Teach shouted. "BLACK VORTEX!"

*CRACK!*

The cracks in the Katana sprung out of nowhere, as the blade was slowly starting to shatter, until-

"Release!"

Teach reacted "Huh?"

The letters on the Katana blade - and they were glowing!

*BOOM!*

The explosion caught everyone off guard as the blast itself was so powerful that anybody who was unprepared were sent off flying by the surge of wind.

"AAAAH!" A few prisoners were seen having been sent off as th

e unfortunate ones, flying over the others who were standing their ground.

Luffy was slightly taken aback by the sudden power of what he just witnessed.

"Wow…."

"First time?"

Luffy turned around and saw that the two guys, Shikamaru and Haku were seen standing right behind him, side by side of him.

"Y-Yeah…"

"Just stand back and watch, you'll see what our captain is capable of." Haku said while eyeing Blackbeard's crew. "He's your biggest chance of helping Ace from getting executed."

The dust settles as then still standing there were both Blackbeard and Naruto, on their feet looking unscathed by each other's attacks.

But that was an illusion the moment both men shed blood - seen dripping from their freshly-given wounds. With Teach seen bleeding from his head, so much that it stained his green headband and dripped over the left side of his face down to his chin.

The wound that was open for Naruto, was his right arm, that was leaking more blood than normally.

"You're still strong, kid. Very strong." Teach smirked at his opponent. "You haven't changed a bit, I can see it in your eyes."

An explosion rocked and caused to suddenly panic in the back of the whole group. With even people seen running away.

"Warden Magellan is nearby! Run!"

Before the panic could spread, it was the officers who were stopping the chaos right there and now.

"Stop panicking and move forwards!" Domino shouted to everyone within her reach. "Up the stairs now!"

"You heard the lady, move it!" Gin ordered as he turned to his own men. "Get a move on now, we got little time left!"

And like that in a hurry, the crowds of prisoners started running for the staircase while evading the Blackbeard Pirate crew who took no notice of them.

"Gin! Domino! Chōji! Take the lead and get moving!" Shikamaru yelled as he turned around. "Jimbei, take Straw Hat and get moving, we'll stay with Naruto."

"Right." Jimbei agreed and turned to Luffy. "Come, we got no time to lose if we want to save your brother."

"... Okay." Luffy agreed, with much displeasure, but he had one last thing to say. "I'm saving my brother, no matter what!"

It clearly being directed to Blackbeard, he just kept his smile up and responded.

"I'm not going to get into your way, kid. You do your best…"

Luffy didn't hear those words as he simply walked past Teach who kept his focus on Naruto.

'The kid with the straw hat is filled with anger, Naruto. He's pumped up.'

'I know, that's why it is for the better to keep him focused on his brother. I'll handle this.'

'Alright then - let me at least patch your arm up for now. You're bleeding badly.'

And as seen, the wounds were seen being healed of Naruto's right arm. It being witnessed by Blackbeard himself who held a close eye on it.

"So it is true - you are one of them, aren't you?" Teach said, even guessing. "A Jinchuuriki, right?"

Shikamaru raised his eyebrow. "Why do you ask?"

"I came across a feller who told me all about it…" Teach chuckled as he asked. "Does the name

Danzō Shimura say anything to you?"

Both the Leaf-natives raised their guard up after hearing that name, with Haku even readying the senbon needles from his fingers.

"No need to be hasty, he's dead alright." Teach told them, still with his wicked smile. "I personally saw him die - one heck of a guy I might say."

"He told you about the Jinchuuriki?" Shikamaru asked, understandable skeptical. "Impossible, nobody gets him to talk."

"Well, maybe not talk - but I found out thanks to him his base, and all his secret information he kept: including files on you." Teach said turning to Naruto. "Uzumaki Naruto, Jinchuuriki of the Nine Tailed Fox. Let alone, your lineage is very interesting…"

Naruto's eyes twitched upon hearing this, but the last part was what confused Haku.

"I don't think you needed to know who Naruto's parents were by reading some scrolls. Mr. Blackbeard." Haku stated to him. "It is public information, so I don't see why you are bringing it up."

"Oh, but I wasn't talking about that lineage… I'm talking about that of one hidden..." Teach turned back to Naruto. "That of your fathers'..."

The look in Naruto's eyes could be seen with suspicion as he stared at Teach.

"Oh, don't think I'll be saying it now, of course. It would ruin the fun." Teach said with a chuckle he released. "I will say, if I knew this sooner and you were out in the open - I would be hunting for you instead of Straw Hat or Ace."

The hint got both Shikamaru and Haku to turn confused towards Naruto.

But also from a distance, it was Crocodile who was hearing this all.

"GUM-GUM…JET PISTOL!"

*PUNCH!*

…

*CRACK!*

The sound of something broken was enough to convince the two standoff parties to see what was happening - seeing that Straw Hat had just pummeled the Minotaurus jailer beast had just been sent into the wall, knocking the large demon out with one singular punch.

"I'M COMING ACE!" Straw Hat yelled with all the anger in his voice, having just finished the obstacle.

Naruto had to give it by watching it, as he was getting impressed by Straw Hat's actions every single time. With his own men giving their thoughts about it.

"God damn…he's no joker."

"Just one punch and he send that beast down the wall. Scary."

Blackbeard watched it and was not different in his own mind. "That boy really is something to watch, wouldn't you agree?"

"I had read of that kid's actions in the newspapers." Naruto said as he gave his own thoughts. "I can see him being Ace's little brother."

"So…" Blackbeard spoke. "Mind if we walked through? We got business to handle…"

"... Fine…"

And so both sides started to walk past one another, with both sides of Naruto and Blackbeard's group giving each other the eye to see until their paths crossed, and their backs would face one another. With Blackbeard now walking down further the path towards the path towards Level 5.

Naruto on the other hand was watching how his men then join the flock of other prisoners going up the stairs, with some of the Raiders awaiting near the staircase entrance, with some seen planting something around the entrance.

"I see Warden Magellan!"

Naruto turned around and saw that the Blackbeard Pirates were confronted by the Warden himself, meaning little time was being stalled.

"Captain, come on!" One of Naruto's men called. "We've set the explosives up!"

Hearing that, Shikamaru who stood next to Naruto informed him already. "Chōji is already up in level 3 with the others by now. With luck they've cleared the route for us if we just keep moving."

Naruto looked at the confrontation before he then turned around, as he proceeded to walk to the staircase.

*FWOOSH!*

"Look out!"

*CLINK!*

Someone tried to attack Naruto from behind, with swift movement and deadly precision. As the person wielded a meito sword that was barely stopped by Naruto's own blade, his Tantō.

The blades clashed, with immense power both the attacker and the defending party felt from one another, with even so they both having the time to comment on another's swords.

"Still using that Tantō…You really value it."

"Konpira… I see you've still managed to keep her in good shape. Gion."

Both swordsmen jumped from one another, allowing them to look eye to eye as now both Naruto Uzumaki and Gion Momousagi.

"As much as I'd like to stay and talk to you, our reunion needs to be cut short." Naruto said as he kept his blade against her. "So if you'd excuse me."

"No can do, Naruto!" Gion stood her ground and pushed back. "You are under arrest for the actions you have committed in-"

*TIK!*

*TIK!*

*TIK!*

*Gasp!*

The gasp came from Gion's as she fell flat down towards the ground, as several thin ice needles were impaled in her body, from her back to her legs. Being taken out in only a matter of seconds.

Unable to move, Gion just laid helpless on the ground, with an unfazed Haku standing over her body with several needles spiking out of the former Mist nin's hands.

"I paralyzed her, no need to worry." Haku said looking over the body. "For a few hours she will be unable to move. Giving us enough time to get out of here."

"Good, no need to kill an Marine officer in here. Way too much of a drag." Shikamaru sighed as he turned to Naruto. "Let's get moving now, shall we?"

"You guys go, I'll stay with the explosives team." Naruto told them. "Secure level 3, and move on to the next level."

Haku and Shikamaru nodded and left off, leaving Naruto by himself, with only the two demolition experts with the ignition.

Naruto kneeled down and grabs Gion's blade and puts it besides her.

"I'm sorry…but I'm in a hurry to save a comrade…" He placed it close to her side. "You know I cannot allow that to happen to him…"

Gion, while still facing down to the floor, closed her eyes and responded.

"I know…just go."

Naruto stood up and puts his cap back on as he walks up to the entrance and just then he heard.

"You could've been a hero. With what everything you have done back there in the Elemental Continent."

….

Naruto shook his head in disagreement and simply stated.

"Nah, I should've been dead a long time ago. I'll see you another time."

Naruto walked through the entrance door with his sword he sheathed as he then gave the ok order to his men.

*TCHK!*

The matchstick ignited the small fuse that lead to the stolen TNT explosives that were recovered from the armory room, as it was set to explode the whole entrance.

"Let's move!"

Naruto and the two Raiders started sprinting up the stairs, as they were trying to get as far away possible from the explosives as possible.

*BOOM!*

Magellan

"Ahhhh! Damn it!"

Now covered in poison, Blackbeard and his gang were taken out with minimal effort by Magellan who walked passed them with no second thoughts given to them. He instead was focused on the view of the entrance, that now was in rubble.

"Of course they've destroyed the entrance. By now, they most likely have reached the top by now."

Reaching the end, he spotted the bodies of many of the guards who were either dead or wounded. Including even the Vice Warden Hannyabal.

The sight of Hannyabal himself, battered and his head bashed in was enough of convincing needed for the Warden to know one thing.

"You did your job right, Hannyabal."

"He sure did…"

Magellan turned his head around to hear it was Gion who was laying on the floor.

"Vice Admiral, what happened to you-"

"Don't bother with me, go and get upstairs." Gion said to the warden with her head upwards. "They're on their way to the second floor as we speak."

Some of the reinforcements arrived with a few medics, as they did not waste time to help the Vice Admiral and the others.

"I'll leave the rest to you." Magellan said as he went on towards the rubble. "I've got to get upstairs."

Walking up to the rubble, the body of Hannyabal started oozing out more poison.

"This ends now."

Level 3

The situation on the desert-like terrain level was chaotic, as now gunfire could be heard across the area. Snipers on the upper cells were seen trying to stop the escapees with whatever they had in their hands.

"Take those scum down!" One Impel Down officer ordered. "Fire at will!"

On the ground, the bullets whistled and caused somewhat chaos among the escaping groups, but even that did not deter Luffy or Jimbei to lead one group up front as they were ignoring the bullets left and right.

*BANG!*

*SPLAT!*

The person in front of Luffy got hit in the head, with the prisoner' head nearly exploding from the side, he fell down to the ground.

With the head open, the flesh was turned inside out, as the scalp was ruined. There was no sign the man was showing to be alive, a truly horrifying sight to run by that Luffy happened to notice for a brief moment.

"Keep moving!" Jimbei said to Luffy. "Just keep your eyes to the front!"

Luffy listened, but his head jerked around for the moment, seeing that one person did check on the prisoner by the neck for a heartbeat. The person who checked for the pulse was Gin.

And he shook his head as he kept on running, no pulse…

A pinch of guilt could be seen on Luffy's face, before circumstances then forced him to dodge another bullet being fired at him.

*BANG!*

"OPEN FIRE!"

Then a barrage of gunfire could be heard, but this time came from the prisoners' side.

"Oh my what an sound!" Bon Clay said hopping as usually as a dancer forwards. "Who is shooting at whom?"

"Look around you, Mr.2! "

"Huh?" The ballerina turned to look around and saw what was happening.

The Damned Raiders were seen firing their rifles at the guards, either pinning them down or outright trying to take them out. With some even taking a moment to aim and fire correctly instead of random suppressing fire.

"Hurry up, everyone!"

Everyone turned around for a brief moment, seeing that it was Naruto with a group of his own men right behind him.

"Naruto!" Jimbei turned around to see nobody chasing them. "Where is Magellan?"

Crocodile even suggested idly. "You took him down already?"

"No, but we blew up the entrance, buying us some time." Naruto said as he told them. "Let's move before they catch up."

In the midst of the chaos, Naruto and Luffy happened to be running alongside each other with their groups submerging with one another - basically at this point there was no saying who was with whom.

But if they had noticed, then they would have seen Ivankov staying behind as everyone ran up the other staircase towards level 2.

Staying behind, only Inazuma noticed and stayed to see why his comrade wasn't moving.

"Iva."

"No need to worry, Inazuma dear. I'm just doing my part." Ivankov replied as he points his finger out. "Look, he's already there."

The two-colored revolutionary turned his eyes down the path of Level 3.

Warden Magellan was seen coming, with behind him the poison having drowned many of the prisoners who didn't make it.

"Everyone behind that man already have lost their chances of freedom." Ivankov said as he unfailingly stared at the warden. "But luckily many of our people are still amongst the escaping living."

"Thanks to Uzumaki, of course." Inazuma reminded. "He's clearly the main reason."

"Oh, I don't doubt that. Good leaders like him come very rarely, especially those willing to fight on the front, but also caring and charismatic - I can see why Dragon has an interest in him."

"He's not the only one, of course…"

*DRIP!*

The sound of poisonous fluid dropping to the warm floor and burning, was enough for the two Revolutionaries to know that Magellan was coming closer.

"Go, my dear." Ivankov said. "I'll keep him here…as long as I can."

Level 2

Level 2 was reached, and the fighting was minimal, for now at least.

With everyone having reached the top of the staircase, Naruto was standing alongside some of the big shots as they heard some interesting news from Gin, who had managed to get a hold of one of the transponder snails, he had tapped into the security comms.

"Are you sure about that?" Naruto asked, wanting confirmation. "You mean to say our boys are already on the top?"

"Yes, they are." Gin confirmed it and held the snail. "There's heavy fighting going on in the ports, but they are reporting many of the ships are already out in the water."

"Of course they would, it's to keep us in here. Even when we will reach the top, we'd still need a ship to get out of this dump." Crocodile said, even taking a look at the only guard who joined their escape. "But you knew that all along, didn't you-"

"You better shut your mouth…" Domino made it clear in her words. "It doesn't take even a halfwit to figure out what the plan would be for a breakout like this."

Crocodile just puffed the smoke from his cigar out, ignoring that threat and turning to the commotion he was hearing behind them.

*THUD!*

Someone bumped up against Crocodile's back as a whole crows of running prisoners were seen trying to get away from the four Demon Guards.

"They're back up again?" One of Naruto's men asked surprised. "Jeez, that Sadie woman really has a way to get those bastards back up."

Naruto, understandably, felt really annoyed on seeing these pricks again, and was about to step in until he saw Jimbei and Luffy going up and handle them.

"HOLY CRAP! AHHHH!"

"B-B-B-BOSS!"

"Huh?" Crocodile happened to recognize at least one of the two. "Oh, it's been a while, Mr. 3. I see you're an whimpering imbecile just like before."

Turning around his head, Naruto saw that the two of the prisoners were very different in their appearances to the other escapees. With the one with blue hair tied in a knot having makeup and a red nose like a clown while the other had his hair with a three in it…not the strangest people he met.

"You know these two clowns?"

"No, only the four-eyes with the three on his head." Crocodile answered the question. "Used to work for me in Alabasta."

"Ah yes, Baroque Works…thanks for reminding me." Naruto replied, before he then turned around and addressed them. "You two are responsible for the riot here?"

"Uhm…yes?" The clown said before he then went pale for a moment and pointed. "Wait! I know who you are-"

"CAPTAIN BUGGY!" One of the escaped convicts of Level 2 pointed out. "Look, those guys just took down all 4 demon guards."

Standing there and talking to one another were Jimbei and Luffy, with in front of them laying the four unconscious bodies of Sadie's guards, who by now were surely knocked out.

While the clown and his friend were reacting in shock, Naruto turned around to see that the others, Bon Clay's people were catching up as he then was about to give the next orders.

"HYDRA!"

Naruto's ear caught that and he quickly turned around - and in a split moment disappeared from the spot and caught everyone by surprise.

"What the-

*CLASH!*

And before anyone could react to Naruto's disappearance, properly, they heard the clash behind them and what they saw was astonishing.

The middle of the three-headed poison dragon that belonged to Magellan, had tried to ascend to the nearest group of inmates, but it was stopped by the exhausted blade of Naruto who had cut it in half, and send the head's remnants to explode across the area.

But also with the droplets of purple poison, came the red fluid of blood that mixed in.

Blood had been shed, and it wouldn't be the last of it.
