A/N: Sorry this was late. Couldn't upload it for some reason. And no lemon this chapter. Late Merry Christmas!
It was night of the second day of partying, and no one showed signs of slowing down. Most of them were dancing, while a few were simply watching and laughing by the sidelines. One of which had dropped out of a drinking contest with Zoro, Gin, Nami, and his fellow Shandorians, who were all out cold. Wiper sat on some ruins and watched everyone else having fun, a strange sight to him in many ways.
'Nearly everyone here was our enemy. Now...now they're all acting like they've been friends since the time of our ancestors.' He allowed a rare smile and a chuckle to escape at that thought. 'Maybe I've just been fighting for too long. That, or too much booze.'
"Extol for your thought?" Wiper turned his eyes to Laki, a smile on her face. "I don't think I've ever seen you smile like that before."
"What are you talking about? I've smiled before." Wiper denied.
"I don't think mad grins while sparring with the others count." Laki countered, causing Wiper to turn away.
"Do you need something?" he asked with a huff.
"Do I need a reason to want to sit next to you?" she asked as she looked out at everyone partying. Both sat in silence as the party raged on, with the sound of the Straw Hat Pirates being the loudest source of noise coming from said party. The silence was broken when Laki opened her mouth again after five minutes of remaining motionless. "Wiper-"
"It's strange." Wiper cut her off, causing the female warrior to blink at him. "All of this is strange. Seeing our people being around Shandians and Blue Sea Dwellers outside of combat."
"I can't argue with that." Laki agreed with a wistful smile. "But, compared to the other option of fighting until one side was completely destroyed, I'd say we're very lucky with this ending."
"Indeed." Wiper replied before turning his gaze to the sky. 'Great Warrior Calgara. The Light of Shandora has been lit once more. May it never fade again.'
"What? Conis isn't here?"
Both Shandians turned to see Aisa looking up at Vivi, a mixture of worry and confusion on the royal's face.
"No. I know she's not because she's the only one still back on Angel Island. Everyone else is here at the party." Aisa explained.
"That's weird." Vivi said to herself. "I thought she'd be celebrating with everyone else."
"No. Like I told Luffy earlier, she's been on Angel Island the whole time, even before the party started." Aisa explained.
"I see. Thank you, Aisa." Vivi said with a smile and a bow before walking away. The moment she got back, her face fell flat at a waiting Valerie and Alvida.
"Well?" Valerie asked. Vivi's only answer was to look at Sanji, who was busy cooking up all kinds of sky cuisine and trying to impress as many ladies that would watch.
"Just waiting for Sanji to blow up again." Vivi sighed, which was copied by the others.
"Vivi-swan~" came Sanji's voice as he spun over to the ladies on one leg, his other leg and both arms full of various plates of food and drink. "Would any of you lovely ladies care for a mid-party snack or beverage?"
"Don't mind if I do." Alvida smiled as she took a drink.
"Kyahaha. I'm good!" Valerie laughed.
"Wait a minute." Alvida spoke up, her voice pausing Sanji as he prepared to twirl away. "I recognize this taste. Is their tangerines in this?"
"Actually, yes." Sanji smiled. "Nojiko was kind enough to persuade Nami to let me use some in the cooking."
"Speaking of Nami and Nojiko, where are those two?" Vivi asked as she looked around at the party. "I haven't seen them for awhile."
"If you're talking about the orange and blue haired sisters of your crew, then I know where the blue haired one is going." Wiper spoke up after listening in on their conversation.
"Really? Where?" Valerie asked.
"She's on your ship. I heard it earlier from Genbo when he helped some of your crew bring some supplies for the celebration." the Shandian Berserker explained. "Said she wasn't in the mood to celebrate or something."
"What? That's crazy!" Valerie said incredulously before with a huff and walking off. "I'm gonna go find her!"
"Actually, it might be better to leave her be." Alvida advised as she grabbed her wrist. Valerie turned to her with a raised eyebrow and open mouth to protest, but Alvida cut her off. "Don't you remember what happened to her on the ship? What those two fat idiots did to her?" That stopped any protests the blond weight-shifter had as she replayed the moment in her mind. She looked down for a moment in contemplation before her gaze shifted back in the direction of the ship.
"I still want to talk to her." she finally decided after getting free of Alvida's grip.
"Here. I'll lend you a hand." Vivi offered before whistling. "Carue!"
"Quack!"
In less than a second, Carue was next to Vivi with a salute, a drunk Yosaku sprawled out on his back.
"Uhh, are we there yet?" he slurred before falling off the duck and hitting his head on the ground. "Ouch."
"Carue, take Valerie to the ship!" Vivi ordered. The Supersonic Duck nodded with another quack before Valerie jumped on and the two took off.
"Uh, my head? What happened?" Yosaku asked as he sat up, his face sporting claw marks on his face the size of Carue's feet.
"Oh, nothing." Alvida shrugged before looking down at her drunken crewmate. "By the way, would you happen to know where Nami is?"
"Big Sis Nami?" the swordsman blinked. "She took off on that waver thing with Big Bro Luffy. Something about finding someone everyone thinks is dead." The two females blinked before looking at each other, then back at him.
"Who?"
-Luffy and Nami-
"Who are we looking for again?" Nami asked Luffy. Both of them were riding down in the White Sea on the waver. Nami was driving while Luffy was holding on, his eyes closed in concentration.
"Hmm." was all Luffy said, as he had said the last couple of times Nami tried to talk to him. Nami just stared ahead, an annoyed pout on her face at this point.
"Luffy, if you don't answer me-"
"Turn right." Luffy interrupted.
"What?" Nami blinked in confusion.
"I can sense them. It flickers in and out, but I just had it a moment ago. Turn right." he explained before repeating his order. Nami obeyed and turned the waver starboard, following the general direction Luffy screwed his eyes tight as he stretched his haki out in the area he picked up the voice. "Where are you?" Nami stayed quiet as Luffy mumbled to himself. She had been immensely curious when Luffy suddenly asked her to take him back down to the White Sea.
'If it wasn't for the fact that we're missing a party with a lot of food, I'd be surprised that he'd have me help him come down here at...all...hmm?' she thought before something appeared on the horizon.
"There." Luffy smiled as he stared ahead before raising an arm and waving. "HEY!"
"Who is that?" Nami asked as she squinted her eyes. It took a moment before her eyes widened in shock. "Is that...?!"
-Angel Beach-
Conis was standing on the shore, the cloud waves lapping against her ankles as she stared out at the White-White Sea. Her eyes were red and puffy with tear streaks staining her cheeks. She knew that she should be happy that the war was over. She knew she should feel joy of never having to fear suffering Eneru's wrath ever again. She knew that any Blue-Sea Dwellers that came up wouldn't immediately be lead to their death. And yet...
"Father." she quietly sobbed, her arms wrapped around Su in a tight hug.
And yet, she couldn't take her mind off of what she had lost. She couldn't forget her father's sacrifice to save her before he was engulfed in the beam of light that vaporized him. Her body trembled as tears began to fall again. First her mother, and now her father. She felt so...empty inside.
"SU!"
Conis jumped when Su suddenly began thrashing her paws out towards the White-White Sea, her tail swishing back and forth in excitement.
"Heeeeeey!" came a distant shout that sounded like Luffy. "Coooooonnniiiiiisssss!"
"Who?" Conis asked herself as she stared at the approaching light of a waver. "Who's out here at this hour? Isn't everyone on Upper Yard celebrating?"
"Conis!" shouted a female voice, one that sounded like Nami's.
"Heso! Conis!" followed by another shout that sounded like...like...
"...father?"
"CONIS! HESO!"
"HEEEEEY!"
"LOOK WHO WE FOUND!"
"Father? Father?! FATHER!" Conis cried in joy when she finally saw her father approaching the shore. Su leapt away when Conis released her and ran alongside her owner towards the shore, where Pagaya was standing to hug his daughter. She burst into tears as her father enveloped her in a warm hug while patting her back in a soothing motion.
"It's okay, Conis. I'm here." Pagaya said in a quiet voice to his crying daughter, who merely wept in joy in her father's embrace.
"Su!" Su yelped up to Luffy, who was standing next to a smiling Nami. To anyone else, they would hear 'Su', but to Luffy, the words were clear as day.
"I can't believe that you found him!" Su spoke in her animal voice. "I mean, when I overheard the others say you could understand that big ass snake, I thought it would be crazy to ask you to try and cheer Conis up after losing her father! I mean, we all thought he was dead, but you-and he, and...and..." she trailed off before nuzzling her head at his ankle. "You crazy bastards are the best!"
"Shishishishi! No problem!" Luffy laughed as he scratched under his nose with his finger before turning back to the reunited father and daughter, his usual grin on his face.
"So that's why you had me sail you out there." Nami said with a smile before whispering in his ear. "You knew he was alive, didn't you?" Luffy only nodded, his grin never waivering before he stepped forward.
"Hey, Conis! Old guy!" Luffy called out, gaining their attention. "You two ready to join the party? I bet a lot of people will be glad to see you alive, right?"
"Ah, yes! You mentioned a celebration on the way here! I believe one is in order after the ordeal we've all had to endure!" Pagaya agreed, his smile hidden under his beard. A smile that his daughter matched.
"Well then, LET'S-WOMPHF!" Luffy began to roar before something big and yellow knocked him off his feet-
SPLOOSH!
And into the sea cloud.
"Luffy! Carue!" Nami yelled in panic before she and Conis swam out and dragged the two of them back to the shore, where Luffy coughed up a lungful of sea cloud.
"What just happened?" Luffy coughed out.
"QUAAAACK! WACK! QUA-QUACK!" Carue yelled as he flailed his wings and thrashed around the beach in panic.
"I'm sorry, but I'm afraid we can't understand you." Pagaya apologized.
"Slow down, Carue!" Nami ordered before looking at Luffy. "Aren't you able to understand animals? What's he saying?"
"SUUUUUU?!"
Whatever it was, it caused Su to begin panicking, her eyes wide with terror and her fur dripping with sweat.
"Su?! What's wrong?!" Conis asked her friend.
"EEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHH?!" Luffy yelled, his eyes widening farther than normal.
SLAM! BAM! BONK!
All screaming came to an end when Nami reached her limit for nonsense and decided to step in. And by 'step in', she left a massive lump on her captain and the two animals with her still smoking fist.
"EITHER TELL US WHAT'S WRONG, OR SHUT UP?!" she yelled, comical shark teeth in her mouth before dragging Luffy up to her face by her collar. "Now, what have these two been going on about?!"
"Carue said that there's sparks coming off the Merry!"
-On the Going Merry-
Valerie was sitting on the deck of the ship. Her right hand was steaming and clenched in her left hand, and few burn marks on her fingers. She would have screamed in pain-
KRZZZZT!
-If not for the fact that the cause of said pain weren't her friend standing before her, her whole body glowing a familiar shade of blue. Electricity danced across her whole frame, from the tips of her toes to the top of her head, a look of worry on her face.
"Uh..." Nojiko started as she rubbed the back of her head with her left hand, a swirly skinned tangerine next to her feet, and a few sweat drops on her forehead. "Whoops?"
A/N: Yes, I gave her the power. I said I would, and I did.
