A/N: Bad chapter name, I know.

Valerie could only gape at Nojiko in shock as her friend continuously discharged electricity from her body before it finally subsided.

"N-Nojiko? How'd-ngh!" she began before the pain in her hand made a comeback, making her wince and grab it. She examined the burn marks on her hand for a moment before turning her gaze back to Nojiko. "How on earth did you get Enel's powers?!"

"Uh...Devil Fruit?" Nojiko answered as she reached down and pulled the half eaten fruit from the deck.

"...A tangerine." Valerie started, her look of shock slowly devolving into a carefully neutral one. "A tangerine was the Rumble Rumble Fruit."

"Yeah."

"And, if what the Shandians said earlier is correct, we have the only tangerines in the sky."

"Technically, they belong to Nami and I, but yeah."

"And after Enel was killed by Wiper, the power changed into one of your tangerines, where you found it, ate it, and got it's powers." Valerie finished as she slowly got to her feet. "Either one of two things just happened. 1.) This is all a huge coincidence."

"Two?" Nojiko asked, causing Valerie's expression to fall flat.

"Someone or something's fucking with us." the chocolatier deadpanned

"Well, it doesn't matter." Nojiko sighed as she looked down at her hands, the palms sparking with tiny volts of electricity. "I ate the darn thing. Not like I can just throw up and be rid of them." She blinked before looking up at Valerie. "Can I?"

"I...don't know." Valerie said before shaking her head. "Wait! Why didn't you tell everyone else before eating it?!

"That's what we want to know!"

Both women turned to see Luffy, Nami, Conis, Carue, and Su standing on the deck. Nami and Conis dismounted Carue before the navigator walked up to her sister.

"You had a freaking Devil Fruit, and you didn't tell any of us! Not even me!" Nami yelled, making Nojiko flinch at her sister's volume. "Do you have any idea what that means?!"

"It means...I traded the ability to swim for massive power?" Nojiko guessed.

"NO!" Nami roared. "With a fruit that powerful, we could've...we could've..." she trailed off before tears started streaming down her face. "WE COULD'VE SOLD A DEVIL FRUIT WITH THAT KIND OF POWER FOR A FORTUNE!"

Everyone, Luffy included, smashed the deck with how hard they all face-faulted at her answer.

"QUAAACK! WACK! QUA-QUACK-ACK ACK QUACK!" Carue quacked in anger.

"What he said!" Luffy nodded as they got back to their feet before his lips morphed into a huge grin. "But all that aside, this is so cool!"

"Heh." Nojiko chuckled, a small smile forming. "Leave it to Luffy to think something like this is cool."

"What do you mean? Didn't you see what Enel could do?" Luffy asked her, a confused look replacing his eager grin.

"I saw what he could do. I saw what it did to our crew! And the first thing I do when I get them is zap one of my friends!" she finished while holding a hand out towards Valerie. "And all she did was touch me! What am I going to do in the future? Pass out rubber gloves to everyone I meet?!" She stopped and pulled her hand back when it suddenly surged with electricity, making her squeek in fear before she looked to the deck, tears beginning to prick her eyes. "What if I can't control it? What if I use too much power, even when there are no enemies around?! What if I...v-vaporize-"

"Nojiko!"

She winced at the harsh tone that came out of Luffy, her gaze still on the ground as her whole body trembled. She flinched when she felt a hand on her shoulder, electricity surging around her body again. She tried to back away to stop herself from shocking whomever grabbed her, but found that their grip was too strong to break, but still gentle enough to not hurt her. She finally looked up to see Luffy staring right at her...with a goofy grin on his face.

"You're worrying about nothing!" he stated with a laugh, which was followed up by Valerie cackling behind him.

"...huh?" was Nojiko's response.

"Kyahahaha! Do you honestly think you're the only person to think along those lines after eating a Devil Fruit?" Valerie laughed. "You're not the first, and you definitely won't be the last!"

Nojiko looked at her friend before shifting her gaze to her captain, who gave a nod as he stretched his cheek out with a smile.

"It took me a long time to finally be able to use my powers in a fight and not hurt myself at the same tiime!" Luffy explained before letting his cheek snap back into place, his smile never leaving. "Just practice with it and you'll be fine."

Nojiko continued to stare before a smile finally came to her face. "Thanks guys." she said before pulling her fellow Devil Fruit users into a hug-

Zzzzzt!

Before backing off in panic when her power flared up again. "Ack! Sorry!"

"*cough*...no*cough*...problem." Valerie hacked up along with smoke after being zapped again.

"Uh...um..."

Everyone turned to see Conis looking at Nojiko, her trembling betraying her smile.

"Forgive me if I sound insensitive, but could you practice with your powers after you leave Skypiea?" she asked, sweat forming on her forehead. "It's nothing personal, but..."

"After living in fear of being struck by lightning for six years, it'd send people into a panic." Nami explained for the angel. "That's what you're trying to say, right?" Conis could only nod, her smile dropping into a concerned frown.

"Easier said than done." Valerie said after coughing up some more smoke. "Any little surprise or other and you'll be sparking like crazy."

And just like that, all the smiles fell into frowns, though some were in thought.

"Hmmmmmm!" Luffy hummed, his eyes screwed shut and his face turning a little red.

"Careful Luffy. You're starting to steam again." Valerie laughed.

"Qua-wack quack quack wack." Carue spoke.

"What'd he say?" Conis asked.

"He said, 'If we had some Seastone, she could wear it and have her powers nullified.'" Luffy translated before his eyes lit up. "Hey! I think Wiper had some!"

"No need."

Everyone turned to see Nami walking out of the ship, a smile on her face and something in her hands. All questions that were on everyone's tongue died when Nami slipped something around Nojiko's neck-

"...errrrgh."

And stopped her sister before she could fall over on weak legs.

"W-what is this?" Nojiko wheezed out as she looked at the pendant she was now wearing.

"Remember all that treasure we got from the Rainbow Mist?" Nami asked, earning a deadpanned glare from the older sister.

"Everyday I find you sleeping on it, yes." Nojiko answered in a voice devoid of emotion before holding the pendant up. "But what does that have to do with this?"

"Well, while Vivi was looking through all of it after finding that one ring belonging to another royal family, before trying to secretly ship it off to that kingdom behind my back! Honestly, hasn't she ever heard of finders keep-"

"Focus!" Nojiko snapped as she waved the pendant in Nami's face. "The pendant!"

"Oh, right." Nami chuckled sheepishly before holding the piece of jewelry between her fingers. "Well, when she picked this up from the pile, she suddenly collapsed and said she felt weak. And when she let go, she was better."

"Oh! Seastone!" Luffy summed up while pounding his fist into his palm.

"It never fails to surprise me when you figure it out before I answer Luffy." Nami sighed with a smile before turning said smile to her sister. "But yes. It's seastone. As long as you wear it, your powers are nullified."

Nojiko's own smile matched Nami's before falling to her knees and releasing a sigh of exhaustion that didn't come from the seastone.

"I won't fry anyone by accident." she breathed out. "Thank God."

"Why? He tried to fry us a few days ago." Luffy informed them, causing the group to look at him for a few seconds...and then laugh. "What?"

-At the party-

Almost everyone was still celebrating the end of Enel's reign and the 400 year war. The one's that weren't...were anxiously eyeing Sanji.

"Sooo...no sudden urge to kill Luffy again?" Alvida asked.

"None whatsoever." the cook smiled as he handed her a drink.

"No desire to break his head open?" Vivi asked.

"Nope."

"Nothing making you want to kick his ass to the Blue Sea and back?"

"Uh-uh."

Both women were looking at each other, confusion with a hint of worry on their faces before they began whispering to each other.

"What do you think's going on?" Vivi asked.

"I haven't the foggiest." Alvida shrugged before they heard Sanji cry out in joy.

"NAMI-SWAN~" Sanji cried out, followed by an equally joyous cry of the of the women that were with her, the men's names not even coming to his mind. "WOULD ANY OF YOU CARE FOR SOME REFRESHMENTS?!"

"We're good." Nami answered with a smile.

Sanji was about to fly about to ask the other women, crewmates or otherwise, before he noticed Nojiko looking a little down. "Is something wrong, Nojiko?"

"Huh? Oh, n-nothing! Just, eh...just thinking about something is all." Nojiko hastily replied while waving her hands placatingly before turning to Vivi. "Hey, can I talk to you for a moment? In private?" Vivi didn't have a chance to protest as Nojiko began dragging her away, to the confusion of others.

"Before you all ask," Nami said, her hand raised to forestall any questions. "You will all learn soon, but not until after we leave the sky." The other members of the crew present cast confused looks at each other before merging back into the party.

-Night before the Straw Hat departure-

Despite the number of unconscious people everywhere, the party was still as wild as it was when it started. Dancing, drinking, laughing, and so much more as they celebrated. Everyone was happy...save for the cook that was walking around with a forced smile while looking around for Luffy.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are." he seethed under his breath, his cancer stick quickly ashing as fast as he was replacing them.

"Who are you looking for now, swirly brow?" Zoro asked in an uncaring manner as he glugged his booze.

"I'm looking for that rubber brained dipstick that we call captain, Mosshead!" Sanji snapped, his rage at Luffy temporarily forgotten as he glared at Zoro.

"He's with Conis. Something about a gondola or whatever." Zoro replied before walking off to enjoy his drink away from the cook. Said cook continued to stalk through the party, though nobody paid him any mind since they'd seen him and a few other members argue before, mostly about food.

Sadly, Sanji was too angry and people were either too happy or too drunk to notice that a few certain females were also absent from the party.
