Cray, a titanic planet that dwarfs our own. On this planet of green and blue, there live the clans. They were humans, demons, beasts, machines, dragons, and even gods.
These lifeforms were able to harness spiritual energy, a power that composes all things. Using this power they obtained unique abilities, and with it they achieved miracles that would leave their names in history.
Among the many races of the clans, three beings were ones that would exceed all. Omniscience Regalia, Minerva of the Genesis clan. The omnipotent goddess of creation, and great mother of all.
Dragonic Nouvelle Vague of the Kagero clan. The almighty dragon god, and the father of all dragons.
And lastly, Ookami Izanagi of the Oracle Shinto. The god who presides the future, seer and manipulator of time.
There were many divines that exist on the planet, but none came close to the power of the trinity. These three divine blessed the land of cray and offered knowledge and power for those who needed the most. In return the clans promised everlasting loyalty along with generations of valuable tributes. Many have tried to challenge the three for power and the title of divinity, but none alive nor dead have ever succeded. With the aid of the trinity, the clans power grew rapidly.
Combined with their high intelligence and incredible power, along with the blessings of the trinity, the clans made a society where magic and technology co exist, and enough power to end the universe itself.
However these accomplishments have done nothing to the friction between the clans. As each of the clans obtained more power and in numbers, the difference of justice and value between the others had only become worse. Eventually strength turned ambition, ambition brought conflict, and in the end, conflict became war.
The war of creation had begun. The great war that would decide the fate of Cray and it's inhabitants.
The bloodshed continued for eons. The war of creation fueled the need for more power to all the clans. Unbelievable progress was certainly achieved, for the price of countless of lives lost.
The trinity had no role in the war, no matter how much the clans begged them for help. If they went to war, not only would they have to slay their trusted believers, using their powers against each other would bring the end of all.
But Izanagi had seen enough. The sight of the clans killing each other in blind rage was too much for the great divinity. He tried to reason with the clans that followed him for ages, but they were already consumed by the madness of war. One day, Izanagi foresaw the war will eventually bring the end of Cray. Sick of the death and destruction, the divine decided to act. After persuading the other two divine, the trinity had formed the first ever alliance, with the sole goal of ending the war.
The news of the trinity's alliance quickly spread through out the whole planet. The fact alone resulted in over half of the clans surrendering and joining the alliance, both out of loyalty for their divine, and the terror of opposing them.
The rest were the ones who rejected the trinity's beliefs. They've fought against the alliance and the trinity, but was quickly outmatched and was forced to yield. And with that, the war of creation that lasted countless of eons, had finally ended, in mere three years after the alliance.
The entire clans declared the end of the war in front of the eyes of the trinity. As well as sealing an agreement of collaboration between other factions. After that the conquered lands were split and remade for the several races that would inhabit those regions. The birth of the six nations.
United sanctuary, the honorable metropolis kingdom of knights and gods, dedicating in advancement of both technology and magic.
Dragon empire, the vast continent of extreme environments, where the dragons claim both the land and sky.
Stargate, the massive land that shot upwards into the orbit, and is now rotating around Cray. Home of mechanized lifeforms and the most advanced technology in Cray.
Magallanica, a collection of islands surrounded by the wide ocean. Mermaids and other marine creatures swim in these waters, where underwater cities lay deep.
Dark zone, a wicked land of mystery and trickery. A lawless zone ruled only by power. Demons and other unworldly beings await for the arrival of new customers, or victims.
Zoo, a land ruled by green. Intelligent high beasts and bioroids roam the thick forests and neverending fields, where nature could truly blossom.
24 clans, divided into six nations. It seemed impossible at first, but each nations had powers and means of their own that would prove to maintain balance to the world. Markets grew, relations were made, and through whatever reasons, the clans worked together in harmony. Peace had finally come to Cray.
Another eon had passed. Small conflicts occurred between the nations from time to time, but never arose for a second war. During these times two major events happened.
First, the disappearance of the two divines, Nuvelle vague of Kagero and Izanagi of the newly formed Oracle Think Tank. Minerva and all the nations searched around the galaxy for their missing divines, but no sign of them were ever found.
Second and the most recent event was the discovery from Stargate. Countless of lightyears away, was a new planet of intelligent lifeforms, Earth.
This was an unexpected discovery for Cray. The planet haven't had contact with another intelligent life for some generations. At first the clan's units were intrigued, until they learned the history of the inhabitants of Earth. Their hostile nature would see the units of Cray as a threat, and would spark the flames of another war. The possibility of danger strengthened, when research showed that some of the humans on earth could use spiritual energy, just like the inhabitants of Cray.
The humans were able to harness spiritual energy and obtain unique abilities. And just like the units, these individuals could self generate spiritual energy, and quickly replenish their consumed energy. What was interesting is that the user's eyes would eminate a strange glow when using their abilities. The units dubbed it 'Psyqualia'.
However the number of Psyqualia users were very rare, and was far weaker compared to the units of Cray. But some still had doubts, stating that even a small threat was able to grow.
Upon further research, it was proven that Psyqualia user's and Cray's unit's spiritual energy were compatible. Meaning that they could greatly strengthen each other's powers, and even link each other in some ways. This greatly changed the position of Earth. Clans like Royal Paladin, Narukami, Great nature and Dimension Police believed that they could share their powers and technology and bond an everlasting peace between the two planets. However clans like Shadow Paladin, Kagero, Aqua Force were against the alliance with Earth. And clans like Gran Blue, Dark Irregulars, Pale Moon and Megacolony had planned to take over the planet by force.
Tension between nations rose as the argument over Earth became more and more intense. However none could declare war on Cray, as it'd mean breaking the oath they'de made at the first war. Breaking it would face the wrath of every other nations including the most strongest Divine of the Trinity. Except for one loophole. The oath only applied of war on Cray, not Earth.
So it was decided, that this matter would take place on Earth. A grand battle that would decide the fate of Earth.
The chosen method of the battle surprised all the clans. It was to put the unit's astral body into a single medium, a card. The reason was that facing an all out combat faced the risk of the destruction of the planet, and other clans could use this chance to exterminate their opponents, which would bring chaos to the established power balance between the nations.
Applying the theory of their compatability with the Earth inhabitants, it was possible to materialize back to self by taking in spiritual energy from their chosen human.
The death of any unit was unacceptable. The key to this was based on the ancient relic that exceeded even the Trinity, 'The door of six paths'. One of it's functions were dimensional shift, and through this a small card contained a whole pocket dimension.
Units could see the outside world and live inside with almost endless space. But the most important function was to get called back to the dimension whenever a unit is fatally wounded, and healed back no matter the injury. In short, units were unable to die.
Units stay in stasis until a human with high spiritual energy, possibly a Psyqualia user, comes into contact with the card. Then the unit representing it's clan tests the worth of the human by trial, and if they succeed, that human would become the clan's 'Pioneer'. The one worthy enough to lead, and would obtain the whole might of the clan.
After the research and production of the cards were finished, the whole planet was covered by an unbreakable force field. To prevent invasion the field was built by Minerva herself. In this force field, Cray was completely concealed in time, never to be broken in, or to break out until the battle of Earth ended.
Except the ones who were unable to, almost all of the units from every nation volunteered for the battle. They knew well that the battle would take all. If their enemies were to take over Earth, no nation would be strong enough to stop them.
The official battle would start at the earth time of the 21 century. And at the same time a certain card game would take the world by storm. Cards of fantasy individuals spread through out the globe, just as the minds of Cray intended to.
The people of Cray slumber. They await their awakening, powers that would change the world, until the hands of fate inevitably guides them.
To their Pioneer.
