Hey just wanted to say sorry for the wait. I fully intended to continue with this the very next week after the last chapter but I started writing a different story of my own. I have completed part one of that and it is over on Wattpad speedstergenji. If you want, go check that out.
*Moments before*
Nyx was attending a meeting with the primordial gods and goddess, well not counting Ouranos and Tartarus on behalf of Tartarus doing, well Tartarus things, and Ouranos waging war with his son. When she suddenly sat straight up in her throne, she could hear a voice ever so faint. Focusing on what seemed to be a prayer to her, which was weird because no one ever prayed to her for anything, but there it was ever so faint she could hear it.
"Please Lady Nyx, almighty goddess of the night, please take pity on me and save my child from your brother's wrath. She is innocent and truly the best of the Titans, my little baby Persephone" Selene's voice echoed throughout Nyx's mind.
Nyx using her power of the night turned her ever watchful gaze upon the Titaness Selene and her child. She watched as Ouranos walked up to the Titaness preparing to skewer both the Titaness and the child, in a split second decision she waved her hand over her lap causing the baby to be sucked into the shadow being cast upon it by its mothers body. The baby, moments later appearing upon Nyx's lap, started crying drawing the attention of the rest of the primordial beings in the room.
"Mother, did you just summon a baby out of thin air?" Aether asked.
Smacking Aether on the head Hemera responded "of course not you idiot."
"Quiet and I will explain." Nyx said, annoyed at her children. "This is the child of Gaia's child Kronos and the Titaness of the Moon. I just saved her from Ouranos's sword."
"Why?" Pontus asked, surprised.
"Truthfully, I don't know," Nyx answered honestly.
After that statement from Nyx the entire Primordial Council erupted into chaos. All except one who was in deep thought. The leader of the council Chaos herself. The chaos went one for a couple of minutes until a very firm yet gentle voice called out.
"Quiet." Chaos spoke, silencing the entire room. "I sense my energy on the child, very faint but it is there."
Nyx was the first to respond, "how can that be?"
"I don't know myself, but it's there. This child is important, somehow, maybe the most important being in the universe. Something even I haven't foresaw may be on the horizon." Chaos stated surprising all the beings in the room. "Protect her, we must. Till it is safe for her to join the immortal world on earth."
"But who will do that?" Aether asked.
"I can do it." Hemera volunteered.
"I believe it should be Nyx, after all it was her that was asked to save her." Chaos said, smiling at her daughter. "Also it would benefit the child given the fact she is the daughter of the moon and we all know how much Nyx liked the titaness of the moon."
"Fine, I'll do it, but don't expect me to get attached to her or anything." Nyx sighed.
"Alright we'll close this out now, I have to think about what this means" Chaos ordered opening a portal and walking in leaving as everyone else teleported out but Nyx and baby Persephone.
Nyx shook her head thinking to herself that she would be fine, she's raised an immortal before this will be simple. Disappearing into a shadow holding the infant she appeared at her palace. Upon arriving at her home she walked into her room, waving her hand towards a corner conjuring a crib and placing the now sleeping baby in it, she laid down on her bed and allowed herself to sleep.
