[Kukui Tanku]

Honestly, I expected someone. Anyone. To attack us by now. Knowing how the last few weeks of my life have been, could you really blame me? But alas; I sensed nothing. I was happy about it too. The first package was secure. We could go get the second one no-

"Alright now we wait for Wednesday," Urahara announced as he sealed the three crates we had come for today... Wait? We had nothing to do for two days... Fuck, "I know it sucks but we'll just have to make sure nobody attacks this town. Fight to kill remember," Me and Ito nodded wordlessly and Urahara chuckled, "You two can do whatever. I'm gonna run off to the bar for now," He gave a lazy wave and was gone in an instant.

"That-" I looked at Ito, "Was anti-climatic. I expected someone to attack us already," I sensed nothing but I'm pretty inexperienced. You'd think we'd be dead by now or in a fight with my luck but no... We were just here. Doing nothing

Ito chuckled, "Paranoid much? Oh well! Urahara is probably gonna go get drunk and we're gonna need to drag him back to our hotel. But for now we can do Whatever!" I didn't like the grin that appeared on her face. That implied bad things were going to happen. Likely to me, "So what should we do? Wanna spar?"

A shiver was sent down my spine. One thing I learned over the past few days was; Ito Kaguya was a menace when she fought. Even in a spar. She was going to grow up to be dangerous. 'At least I have a choice... Maybe I can ask if she knows the shunshin. I've been meaning to learn something new.' I put on my most "I'm totally confident I'm not going to be impaled today." Grin, "Perhaps you could teach me something? It wouldn't hurt to learn something new,"

Ito rolled her eyes, "Stop trying to con a jutsu out of me. You've been trying to do it for the last few days," That was just mean.

"Hey!" I shouted, "I only tried thirty-seven times!" Knowledge is power and I wanted power. I wanted lots of power. I needed it, "If I ask politely will you teach me the Shunshin at least?" I used the jutsu that every kid knew. The Puppy dog eyes jutsu.

I got a smack for my troubles.

I rubbed my cheek, "Hey that hurt!"

Ito sighed, "And you call me energetic," She shook her head, "I'll teach you the shunshin but if I do will you stop asking me?" Wow... 38th time's the charm!

I grinned, "Yeah! Its something to do at least so I'm happy!" Even if the pain isn't worth it in the short run, in the long run if I can find a way to combine my sensing with it, I can become a bootleg Shunshin no Shisui, "If I can make it battle ready then I can be of use," Speed would be my specialty.

"So you think you can make this battle ready?" Ito asked. She didn't look like she believed me, "Well then I'll teach you because this'll be entertaining," Yay me. Being used for entertainment was better than nothing I supposed.

I nodded, "I blew up the Kirigakure academy, evaded a hunter-nin trainee, killed said trainee. If I can't make the shunshin battle ready then nothing should be possible for me in the future." My entire existence had been impossible this last year or so. No way in hell I couldn't make a jutsu battle ready.

Ito grinned, "Well then. If you think you can. I believe you, you crazy bastard. Now come along with me. I'll have to teach you somewhere open," Ito grabbed my wrist, "Prepare yourself," I prepared myself and suddenly we were somewhere else, "We're here!"

I looked around, "Where are we?" it looked to be a park, "A park?" Oh joy. I'd be hitting plenty of tree's then... Oh well. I asked for this. I want to be better, faster, stronger. And the Shunshin was a good way to start.

Ito nodded, "Yeah. Pain is a good teacher and it'll teach you to not hit the trees. Now lets begin!"

[Zabuza Momochi]

"So whats the kid doing here?" Zabuza's companion, Jinpachi asked. They were almost at Marineford. Just a few more days and they would be there. Ready to slaughter more of the Kirigakure rebellion's supporters. All to eventually further his goal to become Mizukage.

Zabuza glanced down at Haku. His weapon. The key to killing Yagura lied in him. He obviously couldn't tell Jinpachi about Haku. He already had a cover story in place, "My apprentice needs to see battle first hand. His weakness needs to be crushed," It was hard but Haku's kindness would eventually die out and he'd be the perfect weapon.

"Oh," Jinpachi nudged Haku, "So has he killed yet? Or are you being soft on him, Momochi?" Zabuza considered himself to not be a soft person. Especially toward his weapon. His weapon needed to be cold as ice. Just like his Kekkei Genkai. The Hyoton or more commonly known as, Ice Release.

Zabuza nodded, "He has. But he hasn't killed in cold blood like a shinobi. My goal is to squash this trait out of him by the end of our mission," This mission was going to be the bloodiest of them all. Zabuza wasn't an idiot. He knew that the rebellion knew that they were coming for Marineford.

There would be blood. Who's? Zabuza didn't know. Assuming they sent another swordsman that is.

Jinpachi grinned, "I see, I see. I remember a kid in the next class like this. When he was finally broken he killed all his classmates with his bare fists. He was a good teammate. Unfortunately he's dead," It was always the best ones that died early. What a shame.

Zabuza chuckled, "That just means Haku's gonna be more powerful than me. I was always ruthless. I remember killing every student in a class a few years back. Wasn't even in the academy. I just felt like killing them. Gave me a headband right then and there. Haku's gonna surpass that for sure,"

"Oh I can't wait for the day the second demon rises. One thats far more powerful than you. Are you sure this mission will break them though? If your brat is as kind as you say he is then something like this won't break them,"

Zabuza looked at Haku and back at Jinpachi, "I'm sure of it. Haku will break and Haku will become the perfect shinobi," Zabuza then looked back at the path they were walking on, "Now what are we gonna do when we get to Marineford? I'm sure you realize the rebellion isn't just going to sit with their thumbs up their asses as we go to what might be the biggest town yet,"

Jinpachi let out a manic laugh and his grin turned to something darker, "We kill them, Zabuza! If there's anyone in our way we kill them. I'll gladly kill them even if you want to do more boring tactics like planning and boring shit like that. Besides I'm sure they don't have anybody strong to spare. I can torture them and your brat can watch."

That sounded like a win for Zabuza. If Jinpachi died then that was also a win. He could use this to gather more followers whilst gaining pity and trust from the higher ups. Nobody would suspect him to be a traitor. Zabuza grinned under his bandages, "Sure, I'll be there in case something goes wrong and you let your sorry ass get caught or nearly killed I'll save you,"

Jinpachi chuckled, "Cocky as ever, Momochi. Never change. This is why working with you is so much fun," He then looked forward, "This is going to be our biggest job since Hauth. I'm excited for all the carnage," This was why Zabuza hated Jinpachi. He only seeked mindless death and not the death that a shinobi should crave.

Pathetic.

Zabuza wished to see him dead but he was a good counter for Zabuza fo he'd have to remain in the shadows for now. Zabuza glanced at Jinpachi who was sporting a manic grin. One even more manic than before, "Thousands are going to die soon. Are we truly ready for another bloodshed of these proportions?"

Jinpachi nodded, "I've been a changed man since then, Momochi. I'm not going to back down,"

Zabuza looked forward, "Neither will I,"

[Kukui Tanku]

Instinct was a beautiful thing. It was perhaps the only thing keeping me from brutal impalement via giant sewing needle. Well that and the Shunshin and my sensor capabilities keeping me from getting hit. Funnily enough in an open field against an Ito who was at best half trying, the shunshin was useful. Especially since I've been grinding its levels the past day and a half.

[Shunshin lvl 4; Allows user to go at high speeds, seemingly teleporting

Accuracy: 40%

Chakra cost: 6 chakra points]

It was a bitch to level and the accuracy of where I wanted to go was shit unless I was sensing. But I was surviving!

I dodged a stab from Ito and laughed, "I'M DOING IT!" I parried the trike with one of my swords and dodged a bone spear with another shunshin before looking around, "I'm actually doing it!" It had only been like 17 total hours of practice but I've done it, "I've made the Shunshin battle ready!"

I promptly got smacked by a bony fist and saw Ito infront of me, "No you haven't! I'm still going easy on you!" The look in her eye suggested pain for me. I shunshined before I could be stabbed. I rubbed my cheek and promptly discovered there were small holes in it, "Don't celebrate until you can beat me in a denser space than this open park,"

Yeah... I wasn't doing it somewhere more difficult... We were at a park that was pretty open. I sighed and looked up, "THEN WHY ARE WE SPARRING HERE?" This was just cruel. Pain was supposed to be the best teacher. This wasn't pain. Just abuse! I wanted retribution.

Ito cupped her hands together, "You suck!"

That was just rude.

My eye twitched. I was tired of loosing damnit! "WELL I'LL JUST STOP SUCKING!" My resolve to get better would help me hopefully. Maybe. Possibly. I couldn't be weak forever, "I'LL PROVE I"M NOT WEAK!" I channeled lightning through my sword and went through my favorite set of seals besides for my clones, "LIGHTNING STYLE: ELECTROMAGNETIC MURDER!" I shot the lightning at the ground which caused it to heat up and smoke to rise.

I saw Ito grin, "WELL THEN PROVE IT!" She began looking around. This was my chance. I shunshined toward her, "GOT YOU!" I suddenly felt myself wrapped in wire, "You're dead," I felt a point on my head and the false Nuibari had a drop of blood on it, "I win... Again,"

I sighed, "Damnit. Can I be let down now," I was thankfuly. 'Just how high are her stats? She must be a Kenjutsu master with at least 40 dexterity.' I decided to not think how pitifuly low my stats were compared to hers. One thing I learned was stats mattered more in later echelons of power... I wasn't that far behind Choujuro but I was very much behind Ito. Even with the toughest of training she shouldn't be that far ahead.

Thus it led me to that conclusion.

I felt someone on the back, "Don't worry pipsqueak. You might catch up eventually. You've one better than anyone else so far," Yeah that wasn't much consolation, "Now come on lets go back to the hotel for the night. Its getting late,"

Urahara was right. It was getting late.

"Okay,"

[Jiraya]

"So thats the situation in Kirigakure," Jiraya had just finished explaining Kirigakure's situation. He would have been back in Konoha sooner but he had business to attend to... But now he was back and he had to explain the situation to his sensei.

Hiruzen looked down at Jiraya. Not with warmth. Not with love. But with the eyes that belonged to the God of Shinobi. Jiraya feared these eyes, "The state of Kirigakure is something that cannot be ignored. If Yagura were to succeed with his purge then his threat level would be very real. Even if he is weakened. Not only that but we could use this to make an ally out of Kiri. One that would be beneficial,"

Sarutobi-Sensei was intending to find the rebellion to offer his aid, "You intend to send some people to help?" That would probably mean Kakashi, Shisui, Itachi, and Tenzou. Aka Anbu's most famous squad since Danzo's original team with Kagami Uchiha. But this would lead to some of Konoha's strongest being out of the village.

Hiruzen nodded, "Yes I do. I do fully believe that we only need to send over a few of our shinobi for aid. We need to earn their trust first so minimal shinobi would be good. Preferably one of our more social ones to help build trust," Jiraya imagined that would be tough.

But who would Hiruzen send? Gai would probably not be a good idea. Especially since he fought Yagura before. Yagura might hold on to a grudge. So that would just be detrimental to their efforts, "Who would you send though?"

Hiruzen looked down, "Well this is a tough choice I believe as many of our sociable shinobi aren't strong. There are four people I do have in mind," Jiraya wondered who they may be. Shisui Uchiha was an obvious pick as his friendly demeanor and the fact he is an Uchiha would help. He would have a more personal stake in this than someone like Gai would.

Ultimately Shisui was the only person that came to mind, "Who do you have in mind, Sarutobi-sensei," Again, Shisui Uchiha was the only person he could think of. But the problem with the Uchiha might take him away from the list of candidates.

Hiruzen looked back to at Jiraya, "I have four people in mind for this mission. Shisui due to his heritage from a clan and his friendly demeanor. Also to get him away from Danzo," At Jirayas look Hiruzen apparently decided to elaborate, "I have a feeling Danzo wants the eyes of Shisui. I am inclined to not let that happen,"

Yeah that would be bad, "Okay that makes a lot of sense actually... Who else do you think should go for this mission?" Jiraya was curious now. He knew most of the Shinobi in Konoha. He hadn't met most of them but he knew a basic amount of information about them.

Hiruzen chuckled, "Well I have a few more people in mind. The next person that comes to mind is Aoba. He's the guy who volunteers at the orphanage if you don't remember. He is friendly enough to get through to most shinobi and people."

Aoba would be a good choice now that Jiraya thought about it. Plue he and Shisui could work together well in case of a fight, "That makes sense. I assume you have one more person in mind for this mission Sarutobi-Sensei,"

Hiruzen took a puff from his pipe, "I have two more people actually. Hayate and Anko. Hayate due to someone somewhat serious needing to be a part of the team and Anko because I do believe she needs time out of Konoha. People are still not over Orochimaru's defection yet and because she was his student she is getting the hate instead of him,"

Yeah that situation wasn't something Jiraya like to think about, "When will you send them out, Sarutobi-sensei?"

Hiruzen took a final puff out of his pipe, "In an hour actually. I still have some things I need you to do," The tone in his voice suggested leaving wasn't an option. Well not one that was god for his health. Jiraya liked being in good health too.

Oh joy, "Yes, Sensei?"

Suddenly the God of Shinobi visage dropped, "I think it is time you go visit Naruto," For a second Jiraya felt an amount of killing intent he hadn't felt since he peeked on Tsunade, "I would recommend not flaking on this opportunity,"

Jiraya nodded faster than the eye could see, "Yes sensei!" Jiraya promptly opened a window and jumped out. 'Why is there an a- Oh shit, Root,'

...Ah fuck it he'd just send a shadow clone to inform sensei.

[Chapter end]

So yeah this chapter is quite short but I honestly don't have it in me to do a longer one. School is draining me quickly lol. Anyways how are all of you? I know you won't see this for a while but I want to know how everyone has been. Hopefully you all are having wonderful days!

Anyways I'm hoping you enjoyed the chapter! I did! It was fun to write even if I was lazy.

So how do you think the Civil war is gong to turn out? I have an idea of what direction its going in even if I have no idea how its going to play out yet. Even this arc is starting to go off the rails a bit. Oh well! I'm just excited to write Jinpachi and Zabuza more now lol.

See y'all in another six days!

Bye for now!
