Sorry I disappeared again, lots of stuff going on right now. I have recently moved out of my parent's house and got my own place with a friend of mine, and I also started a new job that I am still getting used to the different schedule I have. We have had a lot of stuff to do recently and I haven't been able to sit down and write but don't worry the updates should start coming out more regularly now that my work/life schedule has calmed down a lot. And during that time I wasn't able to write. I have just been thinking of the different ways I could take this story, so right now I have about 30 different ideas of how this story could go. I would like to thank everyone that has been waiting patiently for me to get my life in order.
"Hey Zoë, how are you doing? You just get done setting up your tent?" Phoebe startles me as she sits down next to me, interrupting my staring off into the night sky.
"Yeah just got done, resting now. About to head to where Artemis and Persephone are talking to the leader of those bandits, find out what's going on now. Werewolves and mortals working together, this has never happened. How do we even approach this? Who is behind this whole thing? Because it's not Lycaon, he's too cowardly to step up like that. I'm surprised he didn't run when we saw him, you know like he usually does." Seeing Phoebe nod her head I continue. " So there has to be someone pulling the strings here. Let's go talk to our Lady and Seph."
Starting off towards the head tent where Lady Artemis and Persephone has been for awhile, I was just about to announce ourselves and ask for permission to enter, when Phoebe put her hand over my mouth and drug me around the tent where we could faintly hear the two occupants speaking, furiously going back and forth. The fabric on the tent was ripped a bit so we could look into where Artemis was calmly sitting with her back towards and Persephone was pacing back and forth around the tent.
"I'm telling you, this is not a good idea, we should just send the hunters to camp and finish the hunt with just me and you. It is too dangerous, we have already lost one of them and it is only going to get more dangerous from here." I could hear the frustration and worry in every word she spoke.
"My hunters are the best warriors there are, there aren't many things that I am not confident in their abilities to tackle. You are forgetting that currently you are mortal, you have no access to any of your powers, and while you are definitely one of the most talented among us. If it is too dangerous for them then it's the same for you." The exasperation in her voice made it evident that this conversation has been going on for plenty of time and it was going nowhere.
"But my lady, if we were to have any issues, just taking off my necklace will give me full access to my powers and I would be perfectly fine and immortal." Persephone had barely finished the sentence when the shadows in the room were pulled into one corner before revealing the Primordial Goddess of night, Nyx. Nyx was sitting in between Artemis and the pacing Persephone.
"Μικρό Πουλάκι, how many times do I have to tell you, you must not reveal yourself until the proper time and now is not the time." Nyx's disappointment was evident in her voice.
Persephone whirled around quickly and the look on her face had us worried that she was going to start fighting her own mother. Just before things could escalate further, Artemis cut in. "Lieutenant, I understand your worry and your concern, but as I have told you many of the girls would not feel comfortable at camp surrounded by all the males, and you promised that your protectiveness for her would not disrupt your duties as lieutenant. You haven't been a lieutenant for long and you are already trying to pull her from a dangerous mission." Phoebe and I glanced at each other, both wondering who their lady was speaking about, before they both froze where they were at the words that came out of Nyx's mouth.
"Well if the two of you are done letting your emotions get the better of you can we continue." Artemis and Persephone looked at the night goddess in confusion. "You two have been so focused on bickering between each other that you didn't notice that we have both eyes and ears listening in." Nyx lazily looked in our direction making eye contact with me and before I could drag Phoebe away, Nyx waved her hand and my vision went black. When I could see both Phoebe and I were sitting on the ground in front of the three women. Nyx looked amused while both Artemis and Persephone looked shocked and not very happy.
"Exactly what were you two doing eavesdropping on our conversation?" Artemis's voice showed her barely contained anger at the fact that both she didn't notice we were there and that we were listening in.
Thinking quickly as to why we were there to begin with. "We were coming to ask what the next course of action was, when we overheard your conversation and could help but listen in." I spoke calmly while looking directly at the ground.
"Oh calm down Artemis, if anything you should be proud, you have trained your hunters that even you can struggle to detect them at times, and you can't fault them for being curious. You were speaking of the hunters." Nyx spoke softly and elegantly like always, her voice never giving away even a speck of emotion. The only time she really shows emotion is when she is either speaking to Persephone or about her. "Anyways it doesn't matter, Lycaon is gone, I can sense some powerful energy coming from where he ran off, there will be nothing for you to track. It seems our enemies will probably go into hiding as they build their strength. Your fight with Lycaon showed that while powerful against humans or even the demigods from the camp, against the hunters they are not close to being strong enough. Persephone, you and the rest of the huntresses scared him into retreating. He will definitely stay away until he is prepared to fight you."
"How long do you think they will stick to the shadows?" The question came from Artemis, surprising me because I thought she was still processing all the information that was just dumped on us.
"The last time they went into hiding was over a thousand years ago shortly before Persephone joined the hunt. Last time we heard that he was speaking to some of the most powerful monsters out there, trying to form an alliance or an army, we don't know. He may hide for a few years; he may wait until everything his masters have planned is in place. All we know is there will be a battle, a battle that will make everything before it look like a child throwing a tantrum in comparison." The shadows in the room seemed to grow with every word that was spoken, an ominous chill spread, and the air felt colder.
"What are we supposed to do now, just keep going like we know nothing? We may walk directly into a trap." Artemis spoke in concern at the information that was just presented to us.
"Yes, that is what I am telling you. Chaos, herself, has told me that when the enemy makes their move everyone will know. There should be plenty of time to prepare. I shall take my leave now, I am sorry to tell you that something in the pit will start stirring before the final war starts. Who knows how long until that. Goodbye Peresphone, stay safe." Nyx, after patting Persephone on the head, causing me to giggle, before vanishing in a swirl of darkness.
Turning towards us, Artemis wiped the worry from her face before giving us our orders for the night. "Girls, it's getting late and I must attend to my duties and take my chariot across the sky. Head to bed and tomorrow we will begin a new hunt. We have dealt with the threat to the demigods and Nyx has told us nothing will be starting for who knows how long."
With that we all headed out to where our tents were set up, Persephone and I heading to our tent and Phoebe to hers.

Still in Zoe's POV
The feel of splashing water in my face to wipe off sweat after a long training session with Seph felt amazing, as I stared into the water of the lake I could feel myself being drawn into a memory from over 2000 years ago. Shortly after Seph became lieutenant and her mother told us about how something in Tartarus would start stirring eventually, it's not like we took it as a joke we've been hunting and training for 2000 years, collecting more and more huntresses than ever before, the hunt now over 50 partially immortal teenagers. The best hunters and fighters of the demigod world, but we never thought what would start stirring, until last year when a pair of twin demigods children of Poseidon popped up at border of Camp Half-blood, both of them being 12 years old it was believed that one of them would be the child of the prophecy until Zues's master bolt was stolen and Zues accused the twins. The female twin, named Cora Hill, along with a daughter of Athena and a satyr left on a quest to retrieve it. Succeeding but after it was revealed that the Master Bolt was in fact stolen by a Son of Nemesis named Ethan Nacnamura, Alexander Hill, the other twin betrayed both his sister and the camp and joined Ethan with rebelling against the Gods in a hope to destroy the Goldy world. A year later there was another quest after Alexander snuck into camp and poisoned the great tree that guarded the camp. A tree that was made from the dying body of a daughter of Zues named Thalia Grace, whose father took pity on her in her final moments, turning her into a tree that formed a barrier around the camp that didn't allow any monsters inside. After Chiron, a centaur that trains the campers of Camp Half-blood, was accused of poisoning the tree. A quest was given and the questers recovered the golden fleece from the Sea of Monsters and revived the tree, accidentally reviving the demigod Thalia in the process and proved that Chiron was innocent.
Now camp has received word that a Satyr has found not one but 2 powerful demigods and Olympus has ordered Lady Artemis and us to go to Westover Hall in Maine to ensure that the demigods are not taking my Kronos's forces and to bring them to Camp Half-blood. We are now about a couple hours away from there and we stopped for the night, of course Persphone has to make sure that we are still training even though we have been moving at full speed across the United States for the past couple days. Persephone who has always been one of the best fighters in the hunt, has only improved and now the only hunter who can even challenge her in a one on one is Lady Artemis herself, who doesn't have free time to spare her so I get stuck with getting my ass kicked every night before going to sleep just to wake up and get back to running. So here I am now covered in sweat about to head to sleep, but I can't quite shake the feeling that something bad is going to happen. I know Persephone can feel it too, she hides it well but I can see through her mask of calmness. I just know something bad is going to happen in the oncoming days, it's currently just the calm before the storm.

Another author note, 2 in one chapter fun. I am aware that there was a huge timeskip here, I just wanted to get into the main bit of the story and there wasn't much I could do during the past. Can't just keep putting out chapter after chapter of the hunt just going out on hunts and missions, so I figured I would just say screw it and do the jump to Titans Curse, the book where the hunters are actually introduced into the story properly, I made sure I did a quick rundown of what would have happened during the first and second book during this alternate timeline of the percy jackson series, don't worry this isn't a sign that either the story will end soon or that I am running out of ideas, it is just that nothing can really happen before Titans Curse without accidently butterflying everything in it to absolute pieces, I will immediately start typing up the next chapter tomorrow when I get off work and it should be out next wednesday night or thursday night, you can start looking on those days and there should be new chapter, hopefully even longer than this one, I am going to start aiming for 5k chapters as well. And to address a certain review that I had, I'm not going to say what it was, but the entire reason that I changed the gender of the main character was just because I enjoy gender bend stories, It is just for my own amusement nothing else, as always I hope everyone enjoys this new chapter that took almost a year for me to be able to sit down and make and I will be back soon with another chapter. Next up Titans Curse and all the little and big changes that I want to make with it trust me it will be fun.
