In HawkMoth's lair...
After a few minutes of silence, Uraraka felt like she could relax for a while. King Monkey and Miss Hound even felt it too. It was so quiet that King Monkey felt a little uncomfortable around Uraraka. He really wanted to just let her go so she can go back to her friends, but he didn't know when Chrysalis might show up again.
The chains rattled as Uraraka tried to break free from them.
"You wouldn't happen to have a way to get out of these things, would you?" Uraraka asked them.
King Monkey felt like he should do something to help, but Miss Hound walked up before he could. She tried to see if there was a lock in the chains, but it looked like Chrysalis might've jammed them in.
"Sorry, it looks like she jammed the locks," Miss Hound said to her, "I would help, but I wouldn't know how to get them off like this."
Uraraka looked so upset that she slumped in her spot. She really thought these two might be able to get her out of here. Chrysalis might return any minute now, so now was the time to get out somehow. Uraraka looked around the lair, looking for anything that might help her out.
Ever since Chrysalis snuck into the lair, she had added a butterfly designed rug below her and even a purple bean bag chair. There were some books that looked like they came from Gabriel's room or office. Whatever books they were, they looked like they were about Miraculous, ancient relics and treasures. She spotted a book or a notebook that looked very familiar in the corner.
Her eyes widened when she realized it was one of Midoriya's notebooks. He must've lost it when they got transported here. She shook it off and went back to looking for something that might help her out of these chains.
Then she spotted something glinting on the floor. It looked like a bobby pin.
"There! There's a bobby pin right over there!" Uraraka cried out, without meaning to.
Miss Hound ran over to grab it and noticed something familiar about it. It looked like Chloe's. She recognized that golden, sparkling pin anywhere. She smiled at it and ran over to Uraraka's side.
Miss Hound tried to unlock one of the chains, but it took a bit of time to get it in since they were jammed. Luckily, it wasn't that hard to get it out whatever it was, and she unlocked the first one.
Uraraka felt so much relief when her arm felt so much lighter.
Before Miss Hound could unlock the other one, they could all hear the elevator coming up. Miss Hound stopped in her tracks and felt her heart skip a beat. Uraraka felt scared for mostly them, so she grabbed her wrist.
"Let go of the pin, now," Uraraka warned her, "You'll get in trouble if you don't."
Miss Hound and King Monkey were surprised she'd do something like this, especially when they were helping her escape. Miss Hound felt the pin drop from her hand, and Uraraka grabbed it just in time. She activated her quirk on the chain that was once around her wrist and put her arm back in it. She left it unlocked, but with it floating, it looked like it was still around her wrist.
"Miss Hound, can you hand me that notebook over there?" Uraraka asked her, remembering Midoriya's notebook.
Miss Hound ran over to see what she wanted, grabbed it and placed it next to her. Uraraka quickly sat on top of it, and Chrysalis came up from the elevator.
She looked straight at Uraraka with daggers in her eyes. She looked over at King Monkey, and then at Miss Hound. Miss Hound stood up straight with sweat beading down her forehead.
"I'm hoping there was no inconvenience with Ochaco here," Chrysalis said to her teammates.
"Nope, she was very cooperative. She stayed quiet the whole time," King Monkey said so confidently.
Chrysalis looked at him with a piercing glare, causing him to back up. She pointed her cane at him like a sword, and he raised his hands up in defense.
"I know you're lying. Both of you," Chrysalis growled as she looked back at Miss Hound as well, "Ochaco here sent a certain video to her friends. I had to leave to see if you two were still on my side, and it seems you aren't."
Uraraka looked at the two of them, nervous she might try to akumatize them. She had to do something to throw her off track.
"They didn't do anything, Chrysalis," Uraraka said to her.
Uraraka dropped the bobby pin, revealing what she had done. Chrysalis looked at Uraraka with such annoyance.
"I found this bobby pin and fought them to get to the machine. I sent it to my friends, but they got to me really quickly."
Chrysalis looked back at her teammates, who stood tall. Uraraka could tell though that they were nervous that she wouldn't buy it. She looked at all of them very carefully and then went over to the bobby pin. She picked it up and gave it a sly smile.
"Chloe. I'll admit, she got me," Chrysalis said to them, "But it won't happen again."
She gripped onto the pin and tossed it away. Like it meant nothing to her.
Uraraka sat there, hoping she wouldn't notice the chains. She sat still, making sure not to move too much.
Chrysalis made her way towards Uraraka, when Miss Hound spoke up.
"Chrysalis, did you akumatize anyone while you were out?" Miss Hound asked, clearly just trying to get her away from Uraraka.
"No, not yet," Chrysalis told her, "But soon enough, there will be. With what Ochaco has just sent, I'm sure they'll will be one soon."
Uraraka gave her a stern glare, but felt nervous for her friends. She didn't know what was going on back at the school, so she didn't know how her friends were doing. With Midoriya probably worrying about her, she hoped he'd be careful around Chrysalis.
"You guys can go now. I'll be expecting you back here early in the morning."
King Monkey and Miss Hound shared a look and really didn't want to leave Uraraka behind. But Uraraka gave them a genuine smile, saying that she'd be okay. They both looked back at Chrysalis and headed out of the lair.
It was quiet once they left.
Chrysalis kept pacing as she looked out of the butterfly window. Uraraka didn't even dare to look away from her, just in case she accidentally turned off her quirk. She didn't know how long she'd be able to hold it, but it wasn't that heavy, so she definitely hold it for at least a couple of hours.
"So, Ochaco..."
Uraraka sat there, wondering what she might ask or say.
"What's it like? Over there in your Japan?" Chrysalis asked her, "I'm sure there are some pretty cute boys like Adrien."
Uraraka definitely didn't expect that coming from her. Then again, she was just a teenager like her.
"Why would I tell you anything about our Japan?" Uraraka asked back, "We're not friends. After what you've done to Deku and my class, I wouldn't tell you anything."
"Oh come on. I'm done playing games tonight. I'm just trying to get to know more about your Japan, just like you got to know about our Paris," Chrysalis said to her.
Uraraka gave her a confused look, trying to figure out what she was getting at. She didn't even seem like she cared one way or the other. She just was interested in where they came from. Still, whatever she told her, she knew it wasn't a good idea.
"I know what you're getting at, Lila. It's not like we came here on purpose, you know," Uraraka said to her, "We had to get to know your Paris, but you're trying to come over to our Japan and make things worse. It's not like we wanted to come over here. Whatever thing you have against us is not worth all of this. My class is stronger than you think and when they come here, you'll regret even taking that Butterfly Miraculous from Ladybug."
Chyrsalis was quiet for a long time. She didn't even look angry this time around.
"You know, that's the thing about you, Ochaco," Chyrsalis said to her, "You don't know when to just stop. You remind me of Ladybug, always getting in the way. Annoying me to no end. Maybe that's why I captured you in the first place, and why when I first saw you, I just had to get back at you somehow."
Chrysalis walked up to Uraraka and knelt down to her level.
"Your little boyfriend, Izuku and his Miraculous, I know they're very important to you. Just like how Cat Noir is important to Ladybug. You two are partners, and since I have his Miraculous and you, there's no way he'll be able to stop me."
Uraraka glared at her, really wanting to just punch her right there. She couldn't do that though, not without exposing the unlocked chain.
There was silence between them once again. The sunset had gone down, now the moonlight began to stream in through the butterfly window.
"The video was sent, and I'm sure Chloe told them about your plan at this point," Uraraka said to her, "They're ready. Whatever you're planning, it'd be stupid to keep going. She has a lot more Miraculous than you do."
Chrysalis stood back up and played with her cane. Uraraka really wanted to escape, but she couldn't with Chrysalis walking around the lair like this.
Uraraka slumped onto the floor, wondering about what Midoriya might be doing right now. She knew that he must be worried about her, considering she just sent the video not that long ago.
"She may have a lot more Miraculous than me," Chrysalis said with a sly smile.
She looked down at Midoriya's Miraculous, remembering what she read from one of Gabriel's books. It said that you could fuse with another Miraculous while wearing another one. Her smile only grew wider, when Midoriya's Kwami showed up.
"Chrysalis, do you need something?" Dekku asked her.
Chrysalis gave him an even wider grin, ready for another move. Dekku flew over to Uraraka's side, hiding behind her arm. Dekku looked at her for some help, but she didn't know what she was planning on doing.
"Nooroo, Dekku, Unify!" Chrysalis cried out.
"No!" Uraraka cried back, realizing what was going on.
Dekku held onto Uraraka as tight as he could, but he ended up getting sucked into his Miraculous.
Chrysalis was now fused with Midoriya's Miraculous.
She now had a green design added on top of her costume similar to Midoriya's. Instead of a silver mask, she wore a black mask. A hoodie appeared over her head, but she swiped it down to reveal her hair. She had a bit of green streaks around the ends of her hair. Her gloves even bulked up a bit, looking a little more similar to his.
"Huh, I thought this Miraculous came with a weapon of some sort," Chrysalis said more to herself, "Must be these ugly looking gauntlets."
Uraraka clenched her teeth, glaring daggers at her once again.
"There's no need to look at me like that, Ochaco," Chrysalis said to her, "It's time for my next move."
Out of no where, a bunch of butterflies came flying towards her. Uraraka watched in horror as all of the butterflies gathered around her. Chrysalis spread her arms out and began turning the white butterflies into akumas.
She couldn't believe how many akumas she was seeing. Ladybug maybe had dealt with this before, but not Uraraka. She'd never seen anything like this before.
There were so many akumas that a purple static danced around them all.
"Go on my akumas and evilize them all!"
Uraraka watched as all of the akuma flew out of the butterfly window and into the night sky of Paris.
"Deku...!"
Another amazing chapter!
It looks like King Monkey and Miss Hound are starting to help out Uraraka! They seem to want to get her out of the lair, but they weren't able to in time. Luckily, Uraraka got them out of there unscathed. Chrysalis seems to want to get to know Uraraka a little more, but of course doesn't want to. Uraraka's a little feisty right now!
But now Chrysalis has found something in Gabriel's book. She just fused, and now Class 1-A is in trouble!
What's going to happen next??
More to come soon!
