Inside the voodoo shop back in New Orleans, Lucy was placed in a cage at the center of the table while Dr. Facilier sat in front of her.

"You may call yourself...Lucky Lucy." he joked while munching on a carrot. "But it'll soon run out once I nab the rest of your family."

"What could you possibly want with my siblings?" asked Lucy.

"Perhaps I haven't been honestly clear." Dr Facilier said as he put the carrot inside his hat. "You see, business around here is getting slower and slower, making it hard to bring in some customers. And it's all because of those fat cats out there, including the fattest one of them all, Mr. Eli 'Big Daddy' LaBouff."

"Is he the reason why you sent that...fake prince to the party?" asked Lucy.

"What, you mean Larry? Please. He's just a guinea pig to my grand master plan." explained Dr. Facilier. "Are you familiar with the phrase 'rob the rich to feed the poor?''

Lucy did nothing but stare at him.

"No? Well, regardless," Dr. Facilier went on. "As long as Larry is wearing the talisman that contains the real Prince Naveen's blood, no one will suspect that he's a royal phony. And not only will I be equally rich following the Mardi Gras wedding, I'll be the luckiest man in all of New Orleans. And your cutesy widdle wabbit's feet are just what I need to restore that luck."

"Even if you did find the rest of my siblings," said Lucy. "They'll never give you their feet."

"Care to wager on that?" Dr Facilier asked as he picked up Lucy's cage and walked past the curtain into a secret room, letting the cage drop so loudly it woke up the hanging voodoo masks.

"I apologize for interrupting your beauty sleep, my friends, but I have an important task for y'all." Dr. Facilier said while setting his foot down on Lucy's cage so she can't get away. "You see, not only are we...

"Uh, how many of you were there, again?" he asked Lucy, who replied. "Eleven."

Dr. Facilier counted his fingers, then said to the masks. "...ten bunnies short, but we seem to lacking one froggy prince, which is why your devilishly generous assistance is required to get them back."

"And what would you give them in exchange for my siblings?" asked Lucy.

"Well, as soon as Big Daddy is disposed of during Mardi Gras..." Dr. Facilier explained as he held a voodoo doll of Mr. LaBouff in one hand and a needle in the other, much to Lucy's horror. "...and I'm running this town, I'll have the entire city of New Orleans in the palm of my hand, while my friends have all the wayward souls their dark little hearts desire."

As he said this while holding a vision of the city in his hand, he blew at the walking people, turning them into souls.

"Simple as that." he snickered, then said to the masks. "Sounds likes a good deal, am I right?"

The big voodoo mask looked at the others, grinning maliciously, then opened its mouth to let a long line of shadows out.

"Let's see your precious Edwin top that!" Dr. Facilier said, pushing Lucy's cage aside as the shadows assembled in a circle.

"Listen up, y'all!" Dr. Facilier addressed them. "We got a bunch of bunny rabbits and a frog prince who need findin'. Search everywhere! The bayou, the Quarter. Do what you want with the Louds, but I want his Frogginess, Naveen...alive. Now, git! Time's a-wasting!"

At his command, the shadows disappeared from the shop, making their way through the city and out towards the bayou...
