"I can't do anything," Sheimi said. "He's dying."

Yukio gasped. "No... It can't be...Would you leave us?"

Sheimi left.

"Rin! Rin!?"

"His body's stiffening..." Yukio said. "And getting cold... Kuri... killed him!"

"His Demon Heart has been stolen.", came the voice of Bon.

"Bon!" Yukio said. "His heart!?"

"The Illuminati have targeted the bodies of humans," said Shima. "They steal the souls, or in this case heart. Then they unite the soulless bodies as demons. The utilization. They convert human bodies into one. Those are Lucifer's demons!"

"Steal spirits!? Human bodies into one!? Then, Kuri... That form... was..."

"It was not the awakening of Death," said Sheimi.

"I hadn't thought about this happening," said Shima. "Kuri was long ago utilized by them. That isn't Krui any longer. It's a demon! When she took Rin's Demon Heart, she was also stealing his soul."

"Rin and Kuri..." said Yukio. "What will happen to them!?"

"The spirits of the utilized ones," Bon said, "live as sustenance. But even if the utilization is a success, they will soon revert to demons. If that happens... then they cannot be saved. It's impossible after that, whatever form they take living in this world."

They went to Sheimi's apartment.

Yukio sat by Rin's bed, tearing up.

"Could you leave us alone for a while?" Yukio asked the others.

They looked at Rin, then left the room.

"Rin... I can't choose. Rin. Kuri. The people of this planet. I can't abandon them! I can't choose between them for us. Will it not just lead to ruin? Us... And then the world..."

Yukio feels Rin hand. "Sheimi's power is spreading," she thinks. "It feels like Rin's alive. What should I do? What..."

"Yukio."

Sheimi kissed him.

"Oh," he thought. He saw the image of a devastated city. A shadowed figure stands atop a ruined pillar. "Again. This vision... "

"We'll get them back, Yukio," he says. "Rin's spirit, and his flame. We'll do everything we can. Don't lose hope. Hope..."

"That vision..." he thought. "Is that... the destruction? Or else, Death?"

Kuri cut off a lock of her long, dark hair. "I cut and I cut, it grows back," she said. "Crappy hair. This is limited and inconvenient, being a vessel. I'm uncomfortable in this human body."

Professor Moeto rushed into the room with Lucifer. "Sadako!" he said as he knelt before what looked like Kuri. "We have been awaiting your arrival. For a long time. We transplanted the egg into my daughter, Kuri. Completely undivided, I thought you might not awaken."

Sadako grabbed her head.

"She's awakening now..." thought Lucifer.

Sadako walked to the stone hall.

"Oh, I've been waiting for this," Lucifer said. "Sadako!"

"Father Satan!" She raised her hand, and energy flowed to Satan through the Gehenna Gate.

"You've just awakened," Satan said, "and you're already bringing power. What power is this!? These flames are the beginning...!"

"Father Satan, one moment. This is not from souls. It's the exorcist Rin Okumura's heart flame. Your son. I've finally gotten it. We can keep this great power to ourselves. The Blue Flame!" She went to her room, carrying the sword. "Wondrous light. Like something dwells inside it. It puts me at ease with its brilliance."

"Naturally. It's defended by Rin's strong, powerful spirit."

"Who's that!? Is it someone inside of me trying to push out...? It's because of my spirit. It's giving me strength... With this Flame, there's nothing for us to fear anymore!"

"Hey, Sadako!" Moeto said. "We're running out of eggs. The utilization, to steal souls by planting the eggs, is the only way for us to live in this world."

"But, the completion of the master's utilization will become unnecessary. The birth of our new world is close at hand. Heh heh! Ahaha! Close at hand!"

Satan stood in the center of a circle on the ground. Smoke surrounded her. A bat flies in. He grabbed it in the air and ripped out its heart, squeezing the blood into a glass. "Our servants," he said. "Before my warriors are resurrected..." Five figures steam from the glass, taking the shape of the exorcists. "I will place a curse on these ones. A curse that will never be lifted... Heh heh heh..."

Yukio walked down the street, and saw the other two. "Everyone!" He said, trying to be charismatic like Rin. "Let's go. To get Rin's spirit back! To the Academy!"

As they approached the center of the Delta, they saw the building overgrown with trees and vines.

"The Academy has gotten like this overnight..."

"It's full of amazing energy," said Bon. "The air, the plants, the building. The abnormal power is making everything go mad."

"The power is forming into a dome shape over the Infinity zone," said Shima. "It looks just like an omega shape."

"Let's go," said Yukio.

"Sheimi, Rin, Kuri," thought Yukio. "Am I choosing the wrong path...? If I do this, will we not be able to fight together?"

"Yukio..." Shima thought. "It's regrettable, but I will put Kuri to death. To death..."

"Heh heh... They're here. The carriers of the powerful light. Along with the wielder of the Black Flame." A door appeared though the trees.

"An entrance opened!?" They walked into the building.

The two identical women bowed. "Greetings. Welcome to the Infinite Labyrinth."

Shima saw darkness all around him. "What the-!? Yukio!? Where is everyone!?" He saws a sign in the hallway that said, "Etiquette Class." He rushed into the room.

"How impolite," says Eul. "As instructor of manners and etiquette at the Infinity School, Arimura Yuuko, I'll teach you a lesson."

"Eul!?" Shima thought. "But I defeated her before!" The door slammed shut behind him. "Oh no! I don't have time to fight you!"

"Too bad! I am Eul, warrior of the flame! You have been selected as my match!" She jumped up and kicked Shima down.

Shima got to his knees, breathing hard.

"You really don't want to fight?" Eul asked. "I see. You don't have the fighting spirit. You won't only fight for True Cross. You'll do it for anyone, but Your whole body is saying you don't want to fight."

"Yukio!?" called Bon. "Everyone!? Hey! Where are you!?" He turned a corner and entered a room full of plants. "This is-!"

"Welcome, to the Infinity botanical garden. I am its caretaker, Teruno Ruru."

"You!? Tellu!?"

Tellu sat Bon down. "You don't need to fight today. Okay?"

"Wow!" Bon said. "It's full of roses! La France, the first breed of hybrid T! These are soleil dolls!" He picked a flower up. "My heart's softening..." he thought. "What was I coming here to do... I'm so tired... Fighting is absurd... I want to stay here forever... It's my dream. To spend a carefree lifetime in a rose garden, with someone I love..."

"Everyone!?" Yukio called. "Oh no! Have we been split apart!? Have we fallen into enemy hands!? That was careless. Where is this!? Everyone...?"

The other two appeared before him, scratched and bruised.

"Bon! Shima!" The figures began to melt.

"It's your fault we're coming apart," they said. "We won't fight anymore..." They jumped at Yukio, covering him in melted goop.

Rin appeared behind him. "It's your fault, Yukio." He grabbed Yukio around the throat.

"Ow! You're... hurting me... Rin...!?"

"I'll help you too, Rin," said Kuri.

"We think you're an annoyance, Yukio!" said Sheimi.

"Sheimi! Rin! Kuri!"

"I want to be free, Yukio!" said Sheimi. "I'll kill Rin and Kuri! And then You too!"

"SHEIMI!"

Sheimi jumped up from her chair beside Rin. "Yukio!? He's being bewitched! Yukio!"

"No! I can't be bewitched! You're hallucinations! Everyone!" He begin to glow. Light flashed around him, and he was alone. "Everyone!?"

"I'll break through the barrier!" Yukio said and snapped the barrier with his gun's power. He rushed inside to the column and freed the others.

They began mercilessly attacking the building..

"That light!" thought Lucifer.

"Yukio!" Bon called. "Up! The president's office!" They went up to the 56th floor of the building, and ran into the office, where Lucifer was. Three figurines were on a table. "Those are-! Wax dolls shaped like us!?"

"You've undone the finest work of Lucifer," Lucifer said. "You won't bother us anymore!"

He removed his mask. He was Professor Moeto, Kuri's father. "You wouldn't kill a man with a child, would you?!"

Yukio gasped. "H-How?!"

"He took Moeto's body in the accident." Shima revealed. "Moeto died—sacrificing his body to Lucifer to save his daughter."

"A monster!" Bon cried, attacking without hesitation.

The monster vanished in a swirl of light. Lucifer's body wasn't too concrete in the first place. The amulet dropped to the floor and shattered.

"Whatever delusions fill this labyrinth," Yukio said, "I won't give up hope! Let's search! For Rin!"

"He''s found his way to this fortress," thought Sadako. "He even blew away Lord Lucifer. Although...he was no true Demon Lord. That title belongs to me! Father Satan! The time has come. The time for the Assiah to be Gehenna's sacred land. There's no longer anything for us to fear." Her eyes sparkled. "With the Heart Flame of the Son of Satan..." Power flowed out of the flame in her hands, into her body.

Rin's body began to burn.

"Rin!?" Sheimi stepped back.

"Ohh... Strength! From deep in my body, I'm filling with it! As soon as I took it in, my insides were overflowing! This is the power of the exorcist's flame! Oh, I can feel it! The power! The light of life similar to Death itself! It's been opened! So that is the power of the Exorcist!"

At that moment a pair of dark clear eyes opened deep within the soul of the demonic Sadako.

Kuri was waking up—and she wasn't going to allow Rin to die.
