Chapter 8

A search and rescue mission.

In the morning Eda is the first one up. She let Owlbert and Dusk go outside. Then she went downstairs and started making breakfast. While she was cooking Luz, Scarlett, and King came into the kitchen.

"Did you find Mommy Aunty Eda?"asked Scarlett

"Sorry kiddo I didn't see any sign of her." replied Eda with a sigh

Eda finished making breakfast then. She sat down and ate with the kids. After eating Eda asked "Scarlett do you still have that video?" Scarlett nodded and replied "Yes I do."

"Good please send it to my penstagram." stated Eda

Scarlett got out her scroll and sent the video to her aunt. Eda got on her penstagram and said "Thank you now you girls go get ready for school." The girls nodded and left to go get ready for school. Eda posted the video on her penstagram. Above the video she posted a question Do we want an Emperor that uses kids as barging chips? Now I can't find my sister. Soon the girls are ready for school.

"King stay here with Hooty. After I take the girls to school. I'm going to go talk to a couple of friends." advised Eda

King nodded and waved bye to everyone. Once outside Eda called for Owlbert. The little brown owl flew over and turned into her staff. They all got on Eda's staff and flew off. After taking the girls to school. Eda went to the Bonesborough market place. She looked around until she found Amber. The woman walked up to Amber and asked "Hey kid could you go get Raine for me? I need to talk to them." Amber nodded and replied "Sure go wait at our hideout." She went off to get Raine. And Eda went to the hideout and waited. While she waited she checked her penstagram. She was amazed when she saw that the video has 100 views and 50 comments. Eda sighed asked she watched the video again.

Just as the video ended Raine and Amber came in. Eda walked up to Raine and said "Raine I need your help. Lilly's missing and I'm afraid that. She's either at the castle, at the conformatorium, or dead." Raine watched as tears formed in Eda's eyes.

"There, there Eda I'll keep my eyes and ears pealed I promise."assured Raine

After talking to Raine Eda. Went to go talk to Lyra and Lyra said that she would help also. As Eda was walking through the market place. She decided to pick up a few things while she was here. Adam ran up to her and asked "Is what I saw on penstagram true?" Eda nodded and replied "Yes it's true Lilly is missing. And I don't know where she is." Adam sighed and asked "Is Scarlett ok?" Eda shrugged and replied "She seems ok but I can tell. That she's worried about her mother."

"Can I come over and see her?"asked Adam

"Of course you can. You don't even have to ask." replied Eda

A week had passed and Eda hasn't heard anything on Lilith. But that will soon changed. Because Raine has head from Lyra. That she heard that Hettie has been. Taking supplies from the hospital near the castle. And is claiming that the supplies are for the Emperor. Luckily Raine is at the castle today. They were going to to go to Hettie's room. When they saw Hettie and Vitimir. Heading toward the thrown room. Raine decided to follow them to the thrown room. They stayed outside the doors and got out their scroll. Raine started recording a video and listening as well.

"Emperor Belos Lilith is removing well. I'm keeping her asleep. So she doesn't wake up and attack." informed Hettie

"Good to hear it Hettie." stated Belos

"I know that your original plan was. To use Lilith as bait to lure out the owl lady. But no thanks to that video going viral. I don't think that plan will work now." stated Hettie

"Don't worry Hettie I plan on. Hitting the Owl lady where is hurts. Vitimir I want you to poison Lilith." ordered Belos

Once Raine heard what Belos has said they stopped the video. Raine ran to their room. They sent the video to Eda with a message saying Eda we have a problem. Back in the thrown room Vitimir asked "How fast acting of a poison? Do you want me to use?"

"To point that she passes away. Not long after she is returned to the owl lady. Because I have a feeling on what is going to happen next." advised Belos

Meanwhile at the owl house Eda got Raine's message and the video. She watched the video and doesn't like what she hears. So she got on her penstagram. She posted the video with a message. My sister has been found. But she is in danger. With in hours the video went viral. And the video has hundreds of comments. By that afternoon a mob of people has gathered near the castle. At the head of the mob is Eda, Gwendolyn, and Dell. Adam is behind them with the mob. The kids are back at the house with Lyra. Just then the mob started chanting "Release Lilith Clawthorne, Release Lilith Clawthorne!" Then they started walking toward the castle.

Inside the castle Belos summoned Hettie. She went into the thrown room and said "You summoned me Emperor Belos."

"Hettie put Lilith on a gurney and wheel it out to the mob. And don't let on that anything is wrong." ordered Belos

Hettie nodded and left the thrown room. She got a gurney and took it. To the room where she had Lilith. She and her under study picked up Lilith. And laid her on the gurney. Then Hettie pushed the gurney out of the room. She went down the hallways of the castle. Then she went out the doors and. Walked down the walkway toward Eda. Hettie walked up Eda and said "Here is your sister. She should have been petrified or locked in the conformatorium." Eda glared at Hettie and said "My sister did nothing wrong. All she was doing was getting the kids back. It's Emperor Belos that used them as barging chips. To have Lilith give herself up. And have her tell him where I am. We will be back to take him and you coven heads down."

With that said Adam walked up to the gurney. He picked up Lilith then turned and walked away. Adam, Gwendolyn, and Dell then headed for the owl house. Eda went up to the mob and said "Thank you all so much for your support. I will keep you all posted. But we should all gather together. And take down Belos and the bad coven heads." Some of the witches agreed with Eda. And some seemed unsure which Eda can understand. As the mob left Eda headed for home.
