It was February 2012, and Candy Chiu was asleep in bed. Several months later, she would never be able to figure out what caused her to do this. She never had a problem with this kind of thing before, and the mystery was what caused it. For some odd reason, she got out of bed, and began sleepwalking. She walked out of her bedroom, and out of her house.

For several hours, she was sleepwalking around the entirety of Gravity Falls. Nobody noticed her, because it was late at night, and everyone was in bed. What she didn't realize, was that manly Dan was out on a late night drive. It was very inconvenient, that at that exact moment, his headlights stopped working. As this happened, Candy walked right into the middle of the road. She was then hit by Manly Dan's car, at 40 mph. She was sent flying through the air, and slammed her head hard on a telephone pole. When the headlights came back on, Manly Dan was horrified "OH SHIT, I KILLED A KID!" he shouted.

Manly Dan got out of the car, and ran over to her. Candy's face was absolutely covered in blood, and there was blood covering an entire sidewalk square. "OH MY GOD, THIS IS BAD, I KILLED A CHILD!" shouted Manly Dan. Candy then slowly began to wake up, and opened her eyes. Unfortunately, she could barely see two feet in front of her. "What is happening?" she asked. "Where am I?"

(Fast forward to the summer of the same year)

Candy was sitting in Dipper and Mabel's shared attic bedroom, telling them about the incident. "I did not make a full recovery from my injury until the day before you two arrived" said Candy. "Due to my accidental sleepwalking, and the fact that Manly Dan had a mechanical problem out of his control, he was not arrested as it was deemed a freak accident." "This incident is the reason why I have to wear glasses." "Now i'm worried about what that guy could be capable of if he actually tried to hurt someone" said Dipper.

Authors note: I always wondered if most of the characters that live in Gravity Falls knew each other before the events of the canon show. I'm specifically referring to the characters that we never see interacting with each other at all.

If you're sleepwalking, it's really out of your control. But if you're awake, I would advise you to not walk into the road.
