"Chris- I'm okay. It's time to wake up"

Chris woke up in his hammock. He felt so insecure in his own bedding. He layed, facing the wall.

Aviva said, "I have the cure, Chris."

Chris rolled towards her. He stared at her. Aviva froze in shock staring into the void of his eyes.

"Chris, your eyes… are black."

Chris looked up to his dresser's mirror. His eyes were black. The only white was a small reflection of the lamp in his room. He lost his brown eye color.

"How am I still seeing-?

Aviva was scared of her own friend. She stood up and walked away from him. Chris stared as she stood a distance from him. His vision was blurry at the edges but he still saw her before him.

Chris whined, "Please don't be scared of me. I didn't mean to… I just can't control this."

Aviva answered, "Your eyes are just Black. Pitch Black."

Chris looked at himself in the mirror once again. He hugged his blanket super close and shivered. Aviva came closer with a needle full of green fluid. Chris said, "We hae to save Martin, before its too late."

Aviva sighed, "But what if it's too late for you to get better?"

Chris answered, "I know Martin will find a way. I do owe him one. He is my brother anyway."

Aviva planted a kiss on his cheek, sending chills down his spine. Chris only smiled at the thought that she liked him, but something in his heart tugged. Martin always liked her sister, but he always wondered if he really liked Aviva more. He brushed it off, forcing a thought that it was kiss of friendship.

Aviva said, "I thought you know what you are doing, Chris. I don't want to lose you."

Chris answered, "Just take care of Martin if I'm way out, please."

Aviva could only agree with him. She took the needle back and said, "We need to find Martin in order to give him the needle."
