Chapter 2
I want to make it clear some things. The story takes place around the year before the animated series. Ben will not get Superman and Martian Hunter DNA in the near future. But there are possibility to see that in far away future. If you have questions, ask me and I will answer them in the next chapter. I wish you an enjoyment while reading this chapter.
In the heart of a sprawling metropolis, where shadows dance with the flickering lights of neon signs and towering skyscrapers claw at the night sky like monolithic sentinels, lies the infamous city of Gotham. A place where the sun seems hesitant to cast its warm embrace, and where darkness seeps into the very soul of its streets. Its architecture, a blend of Gothic grandeur and urban decay, stands as a testament to both its storied past and its uncertain future.
This city is full of merciless crime members and brave justice defenders. The villains have their representatives in the person like Harley Queen, Twoface, Penguin, etc. They specialize in doing a variety of evil deeds. From casual robbing people to mass murder. Gotham has to oppose them, and they are Robin and Batman.
We can speak more about our heroes. Batman, the caped crusader, is a man who uses a bat symbol to inflict fear into criminals. In the past, he was just a careless child of Martha and Thomas Wayne, Bruce Wayne. But one night incredibly changed his life. The loss of his family put him on the way to become a crime fighter. After some time after arising as The Dark Knight, Bruce adopted a kid who faced a similar story, Dick Grayson. Dick was a child of John and Mary Grayson. They were a circus team "The Flying Graysons" until they were killed by a mafia mob. After that and adoption, Grayson wanted to bring justice to people like his parent's killer, so with Bruce's training he became Robin. And he with Wayne was the heroes of Gotham for three years. They had a lot of fierce battles to ensure people's safety.
And today was just like others. One of the Gotham's streets, with the Gotham's rail on the top and a few jewelry stores across. Today was basically a casual day, not in the good sense, for their citizens, store robbing by a person in a freak costume. And now it is Joker, the mad jester. He is the comic who is not funny but deadly. He is a tall, slender man, with chalk-white skin, ruby-red lips, and a head of bright green hair falling down in a mop style. His more distinguishable thing is his wide maniacal smile. At his usual, his looks consist of a purple suit with an orange and green undershirt, a flower on his lapel, skinny-leg pants, a skinny purple tie, and a silver chain at his waist. But today he wears a more black and gray variant of his suit with a red wig. He is also with a bunch of members of his gang, who wear costumes that are distasteful combinations of gothic and jester styles. They are stealing a bunch of diamonds from the stores and rich customers. And Joker was also preparing a bomb in one of the stores. Then he walked away outside and was ready to give his speech.
"Today, Gotham. We will see a new Joker. More darker than usual. You sitizens many times saying that I'm not funny. So there will be only jokes that would make me happy." - Joker was pointing his finger at the remote to the bomb. He was ready to push the button but unexpectedly betarang hit his hand and the remote flew away from Jester.
"The problem with your jokes Joker. They never tried to make people happy" - From the shadow appeared a figure with horns and covered in cape. He made one step more and the cape moved to show a symbol of a bat on the chest. It was Batman.
Batman was wearing a dark gray costume with the symbol of a bat spread over the chest, black trunks, gloves, boots, and a black cape with a unique pattern at the end. Batman also wears a black cowl designed with bat ears at all times to hide his identity. He also wears a yellow utility belt to complete his Batsuit.
"And did you look at the mirror like ever? Like if people ever were laughing that was you look ridiculous" - From the same shadows appeared another figure. That one was shorter and younger than Batman. That was boy wonder, Robin.
Robin was wearing a red vest held closed by three yellow rectangular fasteners on the front, black leggings, boots, and gloves, all of which seemed to be made of a sort of protective body armor that still allowed him great mobility. On the left side of his chest he had a yellow stylized "R" symbol in a black circle, and around his waist he wore a yellow utility belt with pouches for his various equipment. He wore a cape over his shoulders that was black on the outside and pale yellow on the inside.
"Batman and his lakey. Guys, take care of the child." - Joker gave order to his goons, and rushes towards Batman. He grabbed his cane and made a first attack.
"Robin, be careful." - Batman said that to Robin and ran towards Joker. He evaded Joker's attack and immediately punched him.
"Don't worry, I can take care of them." - Robin took his fighting sticks and prepared to launch his attacks at them.
Robin started to attack his opponents and even though he was in the minority, he fought very well. He controlled the crowd by accurately beating each criminal and they couldn't do much against him. It was just like in the video game, boy wonder knew which enemy was ready to attack and did counterattack.
Batman at that moment was dodging, without issues, Joker's attacks. Jester swung his cane horizontally at Bats head. But Batman sat down to dodge and immediately uppercut right in his jaw. Joker moved a few steps back trying to stand and was holding his jaw.
"Not bad, Batsy. But you look bad. We should contrast each other. If I'm dark, you must be bright. HAHAHAHAHAAH" - With a maniacal laugh, Joker took his revolver and did a few shots. After that, he momentarily threw his cane, which transformed into a lasso-like mechanism that was ready to take over Batman.
Batman covered himself from bullets, but then immediately he was caught by Joker's cane. Crusader tried to take off that thing but was shocked so Bats fell on his knees. Then, the lasso started to glow bright purple. Joker stepped in front of him.
"Look at this. It is not a Christmas yet but I already got my glowy tree." - Joker kicked Batman in the face. He fell on the side and spewed a little blood. "So Bats? How do you like your new fashion style?"
"Distasteful as usual." - Batman tried to break off his shackles, but again was hit by electricity.
"HAHAHAHAAHHHA. Those shackles was made specially for you." - Joker laughed a lit bit and then saw Robin fighting his goons. He reached his pocket and grabbed a small knife. "Look like today is time for the killing joke, HAHAHAHAHAHAHH"
Joker then started to move towards a young crusader to finish his career forever. Robin at that moment was exhausted a little bit, so it was a perfect moment. Batman tried to reach his batarang to help Robin. With his struggles and electroshock, The dark knight screamed.
"ROBIN, WATCH OUT!"
And then the sky was shaken and the hole appeared. Everybody was shocked by seeing that. The hole looked like it was pushing something to this world. Or someone. From the hole fell an unidentified object right at the place of the crime. It crushed on between Joker and Batman. Batman was already freeing himself from purple shackles, but still, some parts were attached to him. He was watching closely at the place where the object fell.
What is that? - Batman tries to deduce what is he about to face.
From the dust appeared a huge figure. It looked like a rock-structured being. It was green so it was possible to assume the rock is similar to diamonds. It had two middle-sized spikes on its back and was wearing some uniform with black and white vertical halves. It also had a strange symbol on the left chest. His head looked a little bit shattered, possibly because of falling. The creature was looking around and started speaking.
"Where am I? Gwen?! Grandpa!?" - Then he looked at the Batman and Joker. Especially looking at the dark knight made him angry. "EON! Where are they!? And why is here Zombozo? Doesn't matter, you both are gonna fell down hard!"
The creature rushed toward Batman and launched his punch at him. Batman successfully dodged the punch and used his grapple gun to get higher to observe. The golem shot from his hand a few shards of his crystals, and they ripped a cable. Batman landed carefully and was confused by the abilities of the creature. Joker was not happy to see a new star on scene.
"I don't like to see newbies appearing on my show." - Joker took his gun, full of deadly acid. He shot the golem with that. "Time to melt, my fella. HAHAHAHAHAHHA... HUH?!"
Joker was shocked to see that the acid did not affect the creature. The creature turned to the jester. He looked seriously at him and then he landed his hand on the ground. The ground around Joker starts to shake, and a bizarre crystal structure around him therefore immobilizing him. Batman was observing from the side.
"His body is made of diamond-like thing and he also possesses the ability to control them. So there is possibly one way to stop him." - Batman after finishing his monologue immediately jumped to the side because Golem shot again with his shards. The golem then created a blade on his right hand and was ready to slice the caped crusader. But he was hit in the head by Robin so the creature missed his attack on Batman.
"Have fun without me?" - Robin stood on the side with Batman. "What plan do we have?"
"It is possible that with sound vibration we can damage him enough to give up." - Batman was observing around the street. He saw the stereo store. "Robin, go to the store and prepare. I will take his attention on me."
"Why do you now wanna play catch me?" - confusingly looked Robin at Batman.
"Because he wants me, I'm reminding him of somebody who he hates." - Batman prepared explosives with smoke grenades. "Now go!"
Robin ran to the stereo store, preparing their plan. Batman then ran towards the creature. He threw explosives at him to shock him and then threw smoke grenades to disorient him. The creature was looking around trying to find his target. And then a few batarangs flew into the diamond creature but they did zero damage to him. Batman tried to put an explosive bomb on the creature's back. But the creature quickly rotated himself to the crusader and did a strong punch to his stomach. Batman flew away from the crystal golem and was stopped by a car behind him, it wasn't a soft backup. The golem was slowly moving towards Bats.
"The last chance, Eon. Where is my family? ANSWER ME!" - The golem cried aggressively at the knight. "ANSWEEE- AHHHH!"
The creature was falling from the pain, provoked by music speakers modified by Robin. The creature tried to stand up, but the more he tried to move the more was shattering. Eventually, he fell unconscious on the ground. Batman stood in front of the creature's lying body. The results of today's crime-fighting are Joker and his goons are stopped and the diamond-like creature is defeated.
"So, what we gonna do right now?" - Robin stepped to Batman "We need a crane to move him definitely."
The moment Batman sat to observe the body, the symbol on his chest started to glow red. At one moment the red light sparked around the body and Bats covered himself from the light. When the light disappeared, Batman started to looks narrowly at the body.
"We don't need the crane, Robin" - Said Batman to Robin. "But we need to give that boy medical help."
"Why? OHOHOWOW!" - Robin was shocked from what he watched.
On the place of the body of the diamond creature was lying the body of a young boy, younger than Robin himself. It lying, trembling from the headache from the fall and sound attack. Batman was calling the Batmobile. He still was observing the body of the boy. The questions filled his mind trying to deduce.
Who is that boy and is he a threat?
