Ch015:
After an hour of arguing and throwing insults at each other,the group stood up and went to the kitchen where they all worked together to make breakfast. Riruka and Orihime were in charge of the pastries. Grimmjow and Sado were making sure everything was clean and ready to use. Ichigo and Renji were making real sandwiches while Rukia insisted on shaping them. Byakuya and Aizen were in charge of making the drinks-more like Aizen was teaching Byakuya how to make the majority of the drinks. It was fun,the kitchen was buzzing with life,cheer and laughter-a little bit of arguing but in the end they made it and settled down in the dining room, starting with their food.
Ichigo: So what should we do with the information we've gathered? I mean I would say we should go and just sort things out but I know you guys won't agree with me.
Rukia: You're right Ichigo. Afterall, we are not used to finding the enemy before it finds us,this situation is a bit tricky for us.
Byakuya: What makes you so sure that what you saw was a hollow-vampire?
Grimmjow: It was not just a hollow-vampire,there was a bunch of them. About 8 or 9...hell, I'm not sure about the numbers but yeah.
Orihime: Um...they had this bloody scent on them and we were able to see spots of blood in their clothes...
Grimmjow: Ulquiorra and I followed them to their base and we found a lot of dead bodies there... that's when I called Ichigo and told him to gather the group around so we could come to you and decide on our next step.
Aizen: You did a good thing not jumping at them like that.
Aizen voiced out thoughtfully...
Renji: Yeah maybe,but...what now?
Rukia: Should we wait for them to attack or do we make the first move?
Aizen: That is a good question.
Byakuya: We should observe this problem from both angles then decide from there.
Riruka: What do you mean?
Byakuya: These hollow-vampires seem to have no problem with us,they are just doing what they have to do to survive which is to feed on humans in this case. They pose no threat to us and have not given any signs of harmful intention directed at us.
Ichigo:(frowns) Yeah but-
Aizen: Let him finish.
Byakuya: On the other hand... even if they have no business with us,it is still our job to protect living souls from situations like this. Meaning that we have a problem with them. They are unconsciously interfering with our business therefore we have to stop them and bring balance to this world once again.
Aizen: In other words, you're saying that we should make the first move?
Byakuya: Correct.
Ichigo: I have to say I support whatever you said Byakuya,the sooner we deal with this shit the sooner I'll get to focus on Ishida's recovery.
Byakuya: However...
Ichigo: Maybe I spoke too soon.
Rukia: Shut up Ichigo.
Byakuya: We will have to be honest with each other so that this must proceed smoothly.
Byakuya said glancing at Aizen then back at Ichigo.
Byakuya: Kurosaki Ichigo...I think you must be informed that the person you live with...is a hollow-vampire.
It went quiet, several faces taking on shocked faces...
Ichigo: What? Fei?...Why didn't you guys tell me before?
Aizen: It wasn't the right time.
Ichigo: So all this time...? Why hasn't she killed me yet? I mean by the way things are going, she would have succeeded?
Aizen: If I am correct, I would assume that she really is in love with you and wishes no harm upon you.
Ichigo: This is bad.
Renji: What do you mean?
Ichigo: I broke up with Fei this morning.
All: What?
Ichigo: What, it's not like she'll hurt me or something. Yeah,she looked pretty mad but...she didn't kill me. I'm still alive aren't I?
Grimmjow: Well... when you put it like that...
Byakuya: Once she gets to accept everything,her anger will be directed on to you and she might come back to do exactly that.
Ichigo: It's a good thing I'll be waiting for her then, isn't?
Rukia: You have to be careful, Ichigo.
Ichigo: What do you take me for?
Byakuya: I do not think you should be alone at a time like this. Maybe you should stay with one of us for a while... until we have a plan to sort things out once and for all.
Aizen: You can stay here with Byakuya and I. It would be a pleasure to host you.
Ichigo: Why does that sound a little scary?
Aizen: Then again you can stay with Abarai-fukutaicho and Rukia-chan over here.
Ichigo: No way!
Byakuya: Does that mean you will be staying with us then?
Ichigo: Oi...what is it with the two of you? You're acting really strange.
Byakuya and Aizen looked at each other in confusion then back at Ichigo.
Both: What do you mean?
Ichigo: That's exactly what I mean! It's like you two are thinking the same thing at the same time...like you're sharing one mindset and all. It's creepy.
Renji: Ichigo is right Captain, it's like you both know what the other is thinking or trying to say. It's as if you rehearsed everything.
Byakuya: Nonsense. There is no thing as such.
Aizen: Maybe it's because we've been spending a lot of time together that we've learned to read each other. I mean it's no secret that Byakuya is an intelligent man.
The group eyed each other before completely ignoring the topic.
Riruka: So what's the plan?
Aizen: Give me a few hours, I'll have to talk to Kisuke Urahara and then I'll get back to you with a full plan.
Ichigo: Okay then, don't take too long.
Aizen nodded and stood up heading back to the bathroom.
Renji: So, taicho...is it true that Aizen cooks and clean for you?
Byakuya gave Renji a blank stare before sighing and getting back to his tea.
Byakuya: You should not concern yourself with such trivial matters,Abarai.
Renji: Eh? H-hai taicho.
Renji said with a small bow and Ichigo laughed.
Ichigo: Ouch!
Renji: Fuck you.
Beep...Beep...Beep!
A pair of red eyes stared at the pale figure laying down on the hospital bed as the girl stood quietly in the empty room...
Fei: Why don't you just go ahead and die?
Beep...Beep...Beep!
Fei: Your pathetic little excuse of a life is causing havoc in mine. I hate you.
Beep...Beep...Beep!
Fei: What's so special about you anyway? Why won't he just get over you? What is it that you have and I don't? Why are people so drawn to you?
Beep...Beep...Beep!
Fei: It doesn't matter though...
An evil smile crossed her lips and he moved further towards the bed.
Fei: I'm going to fix everything, I'll put an end to this nonsense...
She slowly lifted Uryū's head up and took a pillow.
Fei: I'll end your pitiful existance...Die. Just be gone already and be wiped out from the face of this Earth...
She took off his oxygen mask...
Fei: You've caused enough pain. It's time...
Slowly,very slowly blue eyes fluttered open in an unfocused gazed and Fei grinned, immediately suffocating him with the pillow.
Beepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep!
Uryū squirmed and squirmed trying to get the pillow off his face,he was getting weaker and weaker everytime as Fei cackled up in an evil laugh enjoying the sight of the thrashing man, Uryū tried with every ounce of the little power he had but the girl was stronger. He started to thrash weakly,then even weaker...
Slight movement...
And then...
No movement at all. Uryū lay limply on the bed, not breathing this time...
No sign of life...
Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!
Fei grinned in victory, setting everything back in place and doing something to the heart monitor so that it kept on beeping before she walked away oblivious to the pale body which grew colder and colder in each passing second.
Uryū Ishida...
Was gone.
Ichigo was arguing with Grimmjow when his eyes went wide suddenly...and then he started hyperventilating,hand clunched onto his heart.
Grimmjow: Oi, that's not funny.
Ichigo dropped to the floor and Grimmjow started panicking...
Grimmjow: Ichigo?
He tried shacking him but froze when he saw a hollow mask begin to appear on his face and then he let out a bloodcurdling scream. The gang rushed downstairs and stared in shock at the scene. Ichigo looked like he was crying,his left eye was normal while his right eye appeared to be that of a hollow.
Byakuya:(wide eyed) What...?
Ichigo screamed again before he fell on the floor and fainted...
Renji: What just happened?
Grimmjow: I don't know,we were talking and then he started hyperventilating...
Byakuya frowned as Orihime stepped forward and tried to heal him...
Orihime: He doesn't seem to have any injuries...
Byakuya: What is it then? What could possibly make him react that way?
Everyone seemed to be too shaken to say anything...
Byakuya: Wait for me here...I will be back.
Byakuya changed into his soul form and shunpoed out of the house,he wasn't far away from the house when a voice rang...
"Going somewhere?"
His mind still trying to register everything Byakuya turned back,his eyes going wide...
And then...
Blood flew everywhere...
