"The seal's almost ready," Ryota hissed; her voice was laced with excitement, and the Nine-Tails loved to hear it.
"You should be happy with yourself, Snake. Many have come to kill me for VENGEANCE, can't remember many that have gotten this far. Though none of them had the luxury of me being chained up. How about you unchain me, and you can have real revenge," The Nine-Tails sneered.
"The only vengeance I need from you is watching your pitiful existence disappear from this world for the next coming years," Ryota hissed to the beast.
The Fox glared at the snake before turning his head to the tall Uzumaki Woman, "It's funny, even though silver hair over there talks a big game, you're the only one here who isn't truly scared. I can SENSE it. Even without my chakra, I can smell fear, and you have none of it."
Mito stared at the fox blankly, "I've experienced hell on earth, there's nothing in this world that can phase me."
The Kyuubi grinned from ear to ear, "What could be so bad that even the might of the Kyuubi-No-Kitsune pales in comparison."
Mito looked at the cave wall and stared at it blankly, "None of your business, oversized cat."
The Fox growled lightly at the insult before chuckling menacingly, "I like you, girl. What's your name."
Mito seemingly ignored the foxes' question, but she soon turned a lone eye toward the beast. In an instant, her body expanded and exploded along with every other Uzumaki in the cave, raining blood all over the cave and on top of the fox. The blood rose up off the ground and danced around the fox, seemingly taunting the chained-up beast. The Fox Demon grinned as the blood formed into a large kanji directly in front of him.
赤い死 (The Red Death)
The Genjutsu ended and everything went back to normal. The Fox gave its largest smile of the night, showing off its incredibly sharp fangs, "The Red Death! A Genjutsu expert after my own heart!"
"Alright! The seal's finished!" Makoto jumped from his seat on the cave ground and stared at the fox, "Now, all I need is for you to be a good little fox and let me take some of your chakra."
"Of course," The fox grinned and shot a fireball from its mouth, aimed directly at the two babies.
In an instant, Ryota jumped over to the baby carriage and opened her mouth abnormally wide, wide enough to catch the entire fireball in her mouth.
The Nine-Tails gave an evil smirk, "Oops. That wasn't big enough; I would've given you even more if I could. Still, the seals on these chains have gotten rusty. If you hadn't gotten to me soon, I could've broken out in a decade or two."
Ryota blew out some fire on top of the seal, letting it get absorbed by the large seal. The seal began spreading across the large scroll it was drawn on, reaching the very edges of the page. The now oversized snake slithered towards the cave entrance and spit out the fire, lighting the sky with bright flames.

Mika was in pain. This wasn't an uncommon occurrence, of course. The girl was familiar with pain; it seemed there wasn't a training session that didn't involve a broken limb or a torn artery. She'd gotten so used to it that she didn't even cry anymore. Pain was a part of her life, and she loved it. Pain was a sign for her that she was improving. Her skin bruising, her bones breaking, her muscles tearing…. It was all a sign of increasing strength. However, today was not one of those times, 'I feel like shit.'
Though she knew cursing was bad, if her parents or the twins could feel the pain she was in, they would've understood. The only thing stopping her from crying was her pride. If a villager out for a stroll in the night saw her in this state, they'd feel pity for her, and that was NOT what she wanted. No one pitied her father or mother. Sympathy from the "commoners" was not befitting of a Queen.
While she likely should've gone back into the castle, Mika didn't feel safe there. Whatever that was that inhabited those walls was only able to be seen by her, and she was scared of what that thing would do to her. Mika used the back alleys of the village, ones that she would use all the time when she and Eihei got up to some childish mischief. She didn't know where she was going; her severe migraine didn't allow her to think much, and neither did her broken leg and shattered forearm.
As Mika stumbled forward, she could no longer support her body weight and fell into the alley, watching her kunai fall out of one of her pockets. Her mind began spinning around in a frenzy, her entire body ached, and it felt like her lungs were collapsing. Her mind spun back to earlier that day when she pushed her body to her limits and forced herself to continue. However, this wasn't just some arm sprain. The girl needed serious medical attention, or she would die.
The princess lifted her head and rolled over to stare at the sky. She noticed a dark cloud hovering over a cave in the village. As she stared at the cloud, she noticed a bright light appear right under it. She looked above her to see a bright flame emitting from one of the caves above the Uzukage Tower. Through her daze, she felt that help was in that area. If she could make it there, she would be saved.
With nothing but hope fueling her body, the resilient girl picked herself up, grabbed her kunai, and walked towards that mountain. While she was in immense pain, she knew even more awaited her. The walking was the easy part; climbing that mountain may actually be the death of her.

It had been almost thirty minutes since Mika went to the bathroom, and while the bathroom was far, it shouldn't have taken this long. Eihei decided to turn off the music and walk outside, "I'm gonna go make sure she's ok."
Rana and Rama were shocked when their arms began burning. Eihei's eyes widened in recognition, "Is that a blood seal? What does it entail?"
"We have to keep Mika safe," They spoke simultaneously.
Eihei immediately ran out to the hallway, quickly followed by the two ninjas. The trio began searching the hallways until they found a shattered picture frame, "Mika! Can you hear us?"
No sound came back except the sound of wind entering the castle. As they got closer to the end of the hallway, they quickly found the wind's source, a shattered window.
"SHIT! Eihei, jump on my back; we need to make sure she didn't fall," Rama ordered. Then, as she was told, Eihei jumped on the older girl's back, and the two twins jumped to the ground much more gracefully than the birthday girl had prior.
As they examined the ground, the twins took note of the blood trail, "Can you two tell if it's her blood or not?"
The twins nodded their heads simultaneously, and Rana spoke, "It would've been easy if she had her chakra activated; however, she doesn't, and we can't trace chakra through the blood. However, since she doesn't have chakra, we can be nearly 100% certain that this is Mika's blood."
Rama stared at the blood and saw it was leading towards some alleys, "She left a blood trail!"
"If she had chakra, we would be able to sense her! FUCK!" Rana yelled out angrily.
Eihei had never seen the girls so stressed. The two were always calm and never lacked composure. She didn't know whether it was the danger that Mika was in or the continuous pain from the blood seal that was causing them to become so stressed out. She assumed it was both.
"Eihei, hold on tight; we will move as quickly as possible. If you fall off, we may not even notice," Rama said. As Eihei held on as tight as possible, she quickly realized that the older ninjas were not joking. In an instant, they blurred toward the alleyway. Eihei resisted the urge to hold her bleeding ears as they crackled and popped from the force.
'Did they just…. Break the sound barrier?' Eihei thought to herself. She knew that ninjas could get to this speed; however, to witness it was astonishing to her, 'Chakra is a crazy thing.'
As they blurred towards the alley, the twins seemed to phase in and out of existence; their speed was blinding, nearly causing the young prodigy to vomit all over them, 'You better be safe, Mika.' The twins thought, not knowing each other's shared train of thought.

Makoto channeled his chakra to the seal and began furiously pumping his life force into it. Even with help from chakra chains, it would take all he had to tame the beast.
Makoto lifted the large scroll and placed it in front of the beast, causing the scroll to shine bright in a mixture of Crimson and Rageful Red, "Alright, Mito, Riza, reinforce the chains!"
On cue, the two women unleashed their strongest jutsus, "UZUMAKI STYLE: ADAMANTINE SEALING CHAINS." Blood-red chains emerged from their spine and quickly wrapped around the fox's head and neck.
The fox growled at the rough treatment, "WHEN I'M DONE DEVOURING YOUR CHILDREN'S SOUL, I WILL MASSACRE YOUR ENTIRE CLA-"
The fox was silenced by more chains spreading to gag it. It wasn't until its entire body was covered with chains that the shinobi stopped. The two women were panting loudly, nearly dropping to her knees. It took almost their entire chakra supply to cover the roughly four-hundred-foot fox in chains.
"Keep it at bay while I apply the seal. Makoto, you need to be able to fully entrance yourself," Ryota slithered towards the seal and channeled chakra towards her fangs, "Sit down in the middle of the seal, Senju Style."
Makoto did what he was told and sat down, crossed his legs, set his back straight, and rested his hands on his knees. Makoto looked at the snake and sighed, "Please do a three-count this time."
Ryota rolled her eyes, "One, T-" The snake viciously bit down on the man's neck, causing Makoto to immediately fall unconscious. The snake looked at the two women before speaking, "No matter what, do NOT, under any circumstances, wake him up. He could be screaming about Indra himself devouring his soul. DO. NOT. WAKE. HIM. UP. Also, try not to relinquish your hold on the bastard fox. It could make things even harder for the Erabareshi Mono." The word Erabareshi Mono was part of an ancient ninja language, directly translating to:
"The Chosen One," Riza quietly giggled to herself, 'If he could hear us, his response would be 'The only Chosen One is the Sage.'
Riza snapped out of her thoughts by her sister-in-law, "YOU'RE SLACKING ON YOUR CHAINS RIZA!" The woman quickly regained her composure and devoted all her energy to her sealing chains.

As her father fell unconscious, Mika was fighting the urge to do the same. Mika was using her good arm to drag herself up that mountain with her kunai, completely unaware that help was just about one hundred feet below her.
'You're almost there, Mika. Just keep moving forward,' The Princess thought to herself. Her lone working arm was starting to become tender. Mika always climbed this mountain as part of her training. At first, it was hard, but soon she found it fun. The girl's natural athleticism allowed her to climb this mountain almost daily, as a substitute for the hellish warm-up the twins would give her. For some reason, she almost felt like the mountain CALLED out to her. The closer she got to the top, she felt something calling for her. She knew something or someone was there waiting for her. Even today, maybe it was the horrible migraine; but she felt that feeling more potent than ever. Even if she knew help awaited her below, she likely wouldn't have stopped climbing. She felt like she NEEDED to find out what was up there, especially with what had just happened.
To keep her mind off the excruciating pain, she thought back to her encounter with that thing. It called her Kagura, a name she had never heard before. It said that she hadn't opened her eyes and that once she did, it would come for her. The princess wasn't really keen on having that thing come for her, especially-
Mika cried out in pain, her head throbbing even harder, 'Ok, no more thinking.'
The Princess allowed tears to roll from her eyes. No one was there to see this moment of weakness anyway. Mika's left arm began pulsating, causing her to halt her climb. Mika fully staked her kunai into the mountainside. She was about seventy-five percent of the way up, and she soon felt her arm become completely numb. Mika used her remaining strength to flip herself on top of the kunai. Mika looked down and felt queasy, she was easily one hundred feet in the air, and another fall from this height would definitely kill her. This was easily a couple of yards above the top floor where her bedroom resided.
Mika looked up and saw the cliff. She was running off pure adrenaline, which is what likely fueled her adolescent mind to perform her following action. She balanced her good leg and bent down as far as possible before jumping as high as she could, barely getting her arm to reach the top of the cliff. She felt her arm strain badly, nearly breaking in half at the force. Mika cried out once again as her body began to shut down. She lifted herself above the cliff and fell down. The girl looked up at the cave and started crawling towards the entrance, as walking was no longer an option.
As she crawled towards that presence, Mika began coughing up blood. Her body was failing her, and even she surprised herself by the fact that she could still move, 'No matter what, I will not die. I've made it this far; I will not-'
The girl's body shut down completely as she went limp. The last thing she saw was a large metal structure and a green snake hovering over her.

Makoto opened his eyes and analyzed the scenery. The man was in a separate plane of reality, something that a couple of years ago would've been considered impossible to pull off. The sky was a pinkish void with small clouds. The ground was ocean blue, and the horizon seemed to stretch endlessly.
"Hey, Fox, come on out," The Uzukage called out to the void.
The fox made himself appear, chains still binding him, "You know, you Uzumaki's are something special. Never would I have thought that you all could pull this off." The Nine-Tails began to chuckle at a monstrously low pitch, "Over a century ago, when I was still inside that lowly Senju. He was married to a woman, Mika Uzumaki. If I had to choose a true specimen to be sealed in, I would've chosen her. She was always an innovator and the first to think of something like this. She spent most of her life trying to innovate her clan's techniques. A perfectionist who collected everything she could and made use of-"
"Are you trying to give me a history lesson on the most influential woman in my clan's history?" Makoto deadpanned.
The Fox rolled its massive eyes, "I give you humans respect, and this is how it's repaid. My point is that she was the first one to think of something like this. To create or enter a different dimension through seals. I got to watch the entire process through her husband's eyes. She knew that sealing a Tailed-Beast, whether they fought back or not, caused collateral damage. However, she was the only person with the skill and talent to create another dimension."
"Your point?" Makoto asked with the same deadpan expression. He readied the seals with his hand signs, watching them glow with his chakra.
"No matter how outstanding they can be, you humans are still nothing but idiots," The Nine-Tails stared at the man, causing the tension in the air to rise exponentially. Finally, the Fox grinned and broke out of the chains in a test of strength. "You know what they say about foxes, Makoto? We're tricksters!"
Makoto's eyes widened, the gravity of the situation finally dawning on him, "You could've broken out of the chains at any time. Then why did you allow us to seal you?"
The Fox roared with laughter, causing the King to fly back and land gracefully on the ground, "Well, Makoto. I was still chained up when you found me. However, that fireball your incompetent wife shot at me burned up those old chains just enough for me to break out of them. Those new chains you put on me were too weak to hold me."
"That still doesn't explain why you allowed us to seal you," Makoto stated as he began performing hand seals under his robe.
The Fox chuckled slightly, "Well, Makoto, it's because I have no problem with being sealed up. As long as you aren't splitting my soul into two. I even promised to wreck the minds of your children, and you still didn't care. I'd much rather be sealed inside you or even that sister of yours."
"As much as I'd love that for our brewing friendship," Makoto started sarcastically, "I simply can't do that. You know just as well as me that your demonic chakra would kill me. Unfortunately, I can't die yet; I have a family and a village to care for."
The fox sighed, "I thought you'd say that."
Makoto leaped out of the way as one of the beast's tails shot at him at blinding speeds. The man tore off his cloak, revealing he was topless under the robe. He wore crimson-red pants with two white snakes designed vertically across each pant leg. His palms were wrapped in red hand wraps and had foot wraps which were similarly wrapped around the soles to support his bare feet, "RELEASE."
A long blade erupted out of the King's right hand. The sword was diamond-encrusted, stretched about ten feet, and had a handle that was shaped like a heart with the Uzumaki Insignia spray-painted on it. Makoto pointed the sword at the fox and quickly extended toward it at blinding speeds.
The sword connected and pushed the beast back a couple of feet. The fox stared down at the sword and grinned; the blade hadn't even begun to crack its skin, "The Sword of Kusanagi. With just a little chakra, you can telepathically bend it to your will. I knew the snake that made it; his name was Iori. I'd say he made it a bit over five centuries ago."
"Please explain why you're giving me another history lesson?" Makoto asked as he readied another attack.
The beast flashed a toothy grin at the King and spoke, "He was able to pierce me with the blade and have a strong enough poison to keep me sick for days. To think I, THE MIGHTY KYUUBI NO KITSUNE, nearly vanquished by a DAMN SNAKE. So I decided to train my body and make sure that NOBODY could ever do that to me again. It's a shame what happened to him."
"So that's why you attacked the snakes all those years ago? A grudge with a dead snake," Iori had been dead for many years, even back when the Fox attacked the snakes.
"Well, I didn't know that at the time. I had already massacred most of those reptiles when I learned of that snake's demise. I at least would have finished the job, then you Uzumaki showed up… Point is, The blade of Kusanagi means NOTHING against me."
Makoto watched as his sword broke under the pressure of the fox's skin and cried fake tears, "Y'know, the Dragon is much nicer than you!" He dodged out of the way of one of the fox's large tails.
The man could barely fathom how fast the beast moved at such a size, 'Alright, Makoto, you've fought big things before. You don't even have to kill this one; you just have to apply a seal to it. Just get in close, attach a binding seal to its fat nose, and you can go back to the castle and enjoy some red velvet cake.'
Makoto readied his broken sword and faced the demon head-on. Luckily, the blade would be as good as new the minute he left this reality.

The twins had finally arrived at the cave. Unfortunately, the blood trail ran cold once they spotted a large puddle of what could only be Mika's blood. So they tried a different plan which began with finding the rest of the Royal Family and informing them of the situation. However, the girls didn't expect to see the young girl with her family or the giant statue of chakra chains in the cave.
Once the girls made it through the cave, Eihei immediately jumped off her ride's back and began throwing up on the cave floor. Her head was ringing, and she could feel the start of a massive migraine. The twins looked on and saw the Queen performing CPR on her daughter while a small green snake was frantically biting her neck. Mito was in the back, pumping out more chains to keep whatever was under that giant chain statue at bay. Makoto was the calmest out of everyone in his meditative state, none would guess that he was fighting the strongest opponent of his life.
When Riza spotted the newly arrived trio, she glared at the twins. She watched as their bare arms turned red, and the black ink she wrote on them appeared once again -
I SHALL DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO PRESERVE THE LIVES OF MIKA UZUMAKI AND EIHEI UZUMAKI
"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?" Her breathing was shortened, and her body was twitching. Eihei had only seen the Queen like this whenever her daughter got hurt, but her reaction was never this bad. As EIhei looked at her best friend's near-lifeless carcass, she used her limited knowledge of the human body to try and diagnose an injury. For starters, her rib cage was broken, and the broken piece had somehow ripped through her skin and was now sticking out of her stomach. Her head was cracked open, so bad to the point that she could almost see her friend's brain. Judging by the lack of proper breath control, she could also assume that a piece of the girl's ribcage was lodged in her lungs. Eihei began tearing up at the sight; she'd be surprised if Mika even had a pulse. Once again, another one of her precious people would be leaving her life.
"I'm so sorry, my Queen. She went off to go use the bathroom, and before we went to look for her, our arms started burning," Rana put her hands on her knees and began panting loudly, causing her sister to take over for her, "I think she fell out of a window, or she jumped, there weren't any signs of an attacker. We couldn't hear anything because we had music playing."
"MUSIC?" Riza looked down to give air to her daughter, and Ryota lifted her teeth up to take a breath and bite down again, transferring healing chakra to the inside of the girl's body. Riza rose again and glared at the girls, "She was supposed to be sleeping! SLEEPING! Why the hell were you all listening to music?"
The girls looked down at their arms and nearly teared up from the mental and physical anguish, "We're sorry, we -"
"It was my fault!" Eihei spoke up, causing the Queen to avert her attention from the twins, "Mika was saying that she hated how her birthday was this year, and she wanted to celebrate it with us. I begged them for it."
Eihei wiped leftover vomit from her face and walked over to her fallen friend. She reached down to check the girl's pulse and was shocked to see that she was still alive, but barely. "It's nothing short of a miracle," The Snake said, "She should have been dead ten times over; however, according to you all, she managed to drag herself up to this cave after falling at such a height."
Mika's body began convulsing, and blood started pouring from her mouth. Her mother gasped and tore a piece of her clothing off to wipe the girl's mouth. Ryota backed away and closed her eyes, 'She's gonna die if we don't do anything soon.'
As Ryota continued to think, she looked down at her summoner's daughter as she clung to life. No matter how strong her will was, the girl was just FIVE. It was already damn near superhuman that a five-year-old civilian with minimal ninja training could possibly survive what her daughter had. She was gonna die soon if they didn't make a decision.
"We need to get Makoto out of the seal. He has to have some medical ninjutsu stored away with his Kinettiku," The snake looked toward the man. He should've been awake by now, and the Nine-Tails should've disappeared, "We first need to work on safely waking him up since there are no signs of the Nine-Tails disappearing, so let's k-"
The snake instantly disappeared in a puff of smoke, leaving a room of speechless redheads. Mito stared blankly into the white cloud as she struggled to keep her chains up, "Of all the times for her to be summoned."

Makoto narrowly dodged another tail from the fox and summoned an earth wall to shield him from another attack. As the wall crumbled to dust, Makoto decided it was time to change his course of action.
How could you hope to defeat someone stronger, faster, and even more intelligent than you? Makoto narrowly dodged a sharp claw, although it sliced up his suit and a strand of silver hair. After that, the King began weighing his options. The seal functioned like an extremely, EXTREMELY, advanced storage seal. It created a separate dimension, one where an astral projection of the seal user and anyone caught in the seal would appear. It was a harmless way to seal any threat ignoring the laws of earth to obey the user's will. The seal took an enormous amount of chakra to activate, more chakra than Makoto had to offer, so it couldn't be used to trap someone. However, since the fox knew the jutsu, it overpowered the man's control and put them on an equal playing field. Well, about as equal as a human fighting an entity of boundless energy.
No harm done to him in this reality would transfer over to the actual reality; however, if he were to "die" in it, he and the fox would return to the cave, taking them back to square one. Makoto could either A) Get in close and likely get clobbered before he could apply the seal, B) Try and fight a giant with infinite energy, or C) Call in some "extra assistance."
'Seems obvious,' He thought, "Water Style: The Great Walls."
Four large walls of water rose from the ground and surrounded the King. The Fox glared down at the water and couldn't sense Makoto inside. The Jutsu was meant to cause a diversion and mask the user's chakra behind the walls. The Kyuubi brought its claw down and slashed at the water. The water fell to the ground, revealing the empty space where the man once was.
The fox moved its head back, narrowly dodging the King's uppercut. The King followed it up with a jutsu, "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu." The fireball launched out of his mouth and towards the beast.
The Fox looked at the fire and watched it land harmlessly on its snout, "Seriously?" It asked incredulously, "C-Rank Fire Jutsu?"
The fire blew up in a cloud of smoke, revealing a green snake flying toward the Fox's nose. Ryota bites down on the fox's nose, causing the beast to unleash an unearthly howl.
The Kyuubi looked down at his nose and felt an intense burning sensation, "What the HELL did you do to me?"
The beast launched a ball of fire out of its nose and directly at the snake, giving the girl slight burns on her skin. Then, the snake slid down the fox's body and found herself around Makoto's neck, "I've spent my whole life thinking about killing you, Kyuubi. I know it's impossible; however, I know enough about you to find your Achilles heel, that oversized muzzle!"
The snake began shedding its skin, causing Makoto to gag, "Why'd you have to do that on my neck?"
"Whatever happened to appreciating your loyal summon that managed to save your life!" The Snake hissed.
"Well, technically, I couldn't have died," Makoto explained matter-of-factly. The snake hissed and rolled her eyes.
"You damned ingrate," Ryota finished shedding, and her skin was as good as new, "So what exactly was your grand plan for sealing the beast?"
"Well, uhhh," Makoto scratched his head sheepishly, "That's what I summoned you for. That's kinda your thing."
The snake stared at him blankly, something the Uzukage found quite comical despite the situation. The snake bit down on the man's ear, causing him to scream in an exaggerated tone, "What the hell, Ryota? I was just joking!"
"Yes, this would be an amazing time to joke, you damn imbecile! Now tell me your plan!" Ryota hissed.
Makoto rolled his eyes before speaking, "Well, first, I need you to get me in sage m-" Makoto was forced to jump out of the way from a claw aimed at the pair.
"You got a lucky hit, and now you discuss amongst yourselves in the heat of battle? You humans have gotten increasingly arrogant as time passes," The Fox mused before letting out an enormous roar in the duo's direction, causing Makoto to fall off his feet.
"Alright, Sage Mode, got it… Wait… you made it so nature energy would be present in this dimension? How?" Ryota asked curiously.
Makoto shrugged, "It was as simple as changing the atmosphere." Of course, changing the atmosphere in a sealing dimension wasn't what she would call "Simple" but Ryota understood the premise. It was genius that the man could create nature energy in a void dimension designated for sealing, "Oh yeah, you did inject your poison into the thing's snout, right?"
"Of course, My King. What do you take me for, an amateur?" Ryota turned her head to the fox, "Duck."
Makoto narrowly avoided one of the foxes' giant tails by laying flat on his stomach, "It seems like you insects take me for a fool? I, the mighty Kyuubi No Kitsune? Disrespected by you mere mortals."
"Oh shut the fuck up, you oversized-" Makoto started before being bit on the ear by Ryota, "Would you stop doing that, damned snake!"
"You're crushing me with your big head, human!" Ryota barked back.
Makoto quickly jumped up, relieving the pressure on his summon, "My bad."
Ryota rolled her eyes, "Also, can you stop joking around with the demon fox? I didn't tell you this, but something EXTREMELY important is happening in the outside world. Even though time goes by slower than here, we're still wasting precious time."
Makoto narrowly dodged another claw from the fox and started making hand signs, "What's happening out there? FIST OF MAIT!I"
A giant fist made of crimson-red chakra, about as large as the fox's head, appeared around the King's hand. The man jumped in the air and punched forward, causing the giant fist to connect with the Foxes' snout.
The fox brought a tail up and wiped his wound, "That move was powerful, even made me bleed." Makoto stared at the fox in disbelief. That wasn't exactly the strongest move in his arsenal, but a small cut?
"We have new e-evidence on those corpses from earlier," Ryota lied, "It's IMPERATIVE that we finish this as quickly as possible. We have little margin for error."
Makoto narrowed his eyes at the lie. While most people in their profession were great at lies and deceit, Ryota was not one of them. Through years of being partners, comrades, and friends, Makoto had learned all her cues. Ryota never stuttered unless she wasn't sure of what she was saying, and 99% of the time, the girl was more than sure of herself. So when she stuttered, Makoto knew that the snake was lying.
The man looked up at the fox and pushed the thought to the back of his head, "In a few seconds, the poison injected in your blood will limit your sense of smell, thus restricting your ability to prevent sneak attacks. I know that you can't use chakra in this dimension. This dimension restricts chakra usage from anyone with a higher chakra pool than my own. If not, you would've already killed me."
The fox growled angrily at the man, 'He's right. I would've already dropped a tailed beast ball on these fools if that pesky Orosokean wannabe didn't put that in the seal.'
"How does that still apply if he can break out of the seal?" Ryota asked.
"The fox operates in old sealing jutsu; it's unfamiliar with the new-age seals of the past hundred years or so," Makoto explained before staring up at the Fox, "After the nose, your sense of smell, eyesight, and feeling in your entire he-"
Makoto dashed out of the way as the beast clamped his jaws around the air he once occupied. "I believe he just called your bluff," The snake remarked. Though her poison was enough to kill a couple of toads, it couldn't do much against the Nine-Tails other than disabling its sense of smell for a short period.
"I'd rather burn myself with the heat of a thousand suns than back down against you roaches," The Nine-Tails barked. The fox took a deep breath and unleashed steam from its nose, flooding the area with the equivalent of a hot smoke bomb.
The duo quickly cleared the smoke, "Wind Style: Great Breakthrough." The pair unleashed large gusts of wind that cleared through the steam, revealing an empty space where the fox used to be. Makoto grimaced as his mistakes dawned on him, "It's hiding, and we won't be able to sense its chakra."
"So, in other words, we're basically in its dimension now," Ryota tried and failed to sense the Nine-Tail's large chakra pool, "Yeah, Makoto, you've truly outdone yourself this time."
Makoto rolled his eyes, "Not like I could predict it being able to break out of our clan's 'unbreakable' chains."
"North," Ryota started.
Makoto quickly picked up on her gesture and turned around, "South."
"East."
"West."
"Below…." Ryota trailed. The fox was nowhere to be found, "Wh-"
"ABOVE!" The fox growled. The duo aimed their head up at a horrifying sight. The Nine-Tailed fox, jaw first, flew down at them at neck-breaking speeds.
Makoto leaped out of the way, barely dodging the fox. However, he couldn't avoid the debris from the fall, puncturing his shoulder. As the dust accompanied the foxes' landing, the Kyuubi once again disappeared. The fox followed it up by blitzing past Makoto and slashing at his chest, causing a deep wound before disappearing into the abyss, "Shit, we can't keep fighting like this."
Ryota spotted the fox's silhouette from the mist, "EAST."
Makoto punched his fist in the fox's direction, creating that giant fist again, "Kinettiku Style: Fist of Maiti." The punch blew a hole through the mist, revealing what the silhouette was, another smokescreen, "The damned fox is like an infinite smoke bomb."
Makoto leaped into the air and began performing hand seals, "Barriers, Ryota! Wind Style: Great Breakthrough." The wind causes the mist to dissipate, revealing the Nine-Tails' shit-eating grin.
"Serpent Sealing Style: Ten Thousand Snakes," Ryota called out. The fox looked down at the ocean-blue ground as thousands of snakes erupted from underground. Green, purple, yellow, white, large, small, tall, short. Mindless snakes stacked on each other and surrounded the fox, creating a 70-meter barrier surrounding the fox from all sides and crushing him into a confined space. Ryota gasped for air at the chakra-taxing move, "Sage Mode?"
"You know me so well," Makoto said. Ryota closed her eyes and loosened around Makoto's neck, signifying her meditative state. Makoto jumped up again, leaping over the 70-meter snake barrier. "Kyuubi, how're you feeling down there."
The fox growled, "Humans taunting me. How the world has changed." The snakes began biting down on the fox, further restricting its movements.
"I have a question for you, do you tailed beasts need to breathe to survive? I'd assume you don't, but I think it would be highly uncomfortable to be submerged in water," Makoto pondered.
"What are you getting at, Uzumaki?"
"I'm going to ask you once again to make our lives easier. Here are our two options: let me apply this seal on your forehead, and you can live the next half century inside my two sons, or I can flood this whole thing with water until you concede," Makoto landed on top of the snake wall and sat down to look down at the fox.
"As I said before, I'd do anything before I concede defeat to you," The fox began chuckling, "Y'know, your snake is lying to you."
Makoto's eyes narrowed, "How do you know?"
"Funny thing about this dimension, it's only optional that your 'other' body needs to be asleep for you to be able to come here. It just helps to filter out the unwanted thoughts in the back of your head that come from listening to other conversations." The fox began laughing, "From the sounds of it, you don't have much time left. 'Fight it, Mika 'Just keep breathing.' That doesn't sound too good."
Makoto's eyes widened as he felt a slight choke from his neck and stared at the still motionless snake, "Is this true?"
Ryota's eyes remained closed, and her body remained still, "Don't do anything rash. Remain calm, and keep your composure. I roughly estimate I'm about 80% full regarding sage chakra."
"That's enough chakra."
"Makoto, are you posi-"
"Just fucking bite me, Ryota," Makoto spat. The snake begrudgingly obliged and bit down on the man's neck. Makoto closed his eyes as his body began to vibrate rapidly while the nature energy entered his body. His body began to radiate a dark-red aura, forming a large snake silhouette around him. His tan skin became more pale along with a more rubbery texture while pale-red scales completely covered Makoto's body, making his skin appear more snake-like than human. The Uzumaki clan symbol broke apart under his eyes, forming an image of two small red snakes stretching from his eyelids to his cheeks. His body tattoos also shifted, breaking apart and forming the appearance of a long snake that wrapped around his body a few times and stared ferociously at the Chakra Demon. The King let out a breath of air through his nose and opened his eyes, revealing his crimson red eyes now expanded to his entire eye and his pupils turned into large, black, snake-like slits.
The fox stared at the man with glee, "Sage Mode! It's been so long since I've seen a human with the ability to perfect Senjutsu. I knew you were someone special, Makoto Uzumaki."
The King glared at the fox, "Never mind what I said earlier, fox. You no longer have a choice." His voice had changed, now having the signature hiss of the Ryuchi Cave snakes. Makoto looked towards Ryota, "Get the seal ready. I'll provide the opportunity, and you take it." He held out a scroll and the snake took it with her teeth before slithering off him and blending in with the other snakes.
"I wonder what you have in store that could make you think you can seal me. I am the mighty Kyuubi No Kitsune. The Serpent Slayer, The Trickster Fox. You can't hope to de-"
"Almighty Tsunami," Makoto stated calmly.
The fox looked at the man in confusion until it felt the ground quake. The fox looked up, and its eyes widened. The fox saw precisely what Makoto said, 'Yeah, that does look like a fucking Almighty Tsunami.'
The wave heading toward the fox and the pile of snakes was nothing short of amazing. The fox estimated it at a staggering 2000 feet. It easily towered over the beast. As it raged closer, the fox wondered why the Uzumaki would need such a technique. It was overkill for any enemy that dared to test him. The fox wondered if a Tailed-Beast Bomb could do as much damage as this technique.
The fox sighed and watched the man disappear, "This is gonna hurt. DAMN YOU, HUMANS!"
