The Party Boat Murders
Chapter Three
Detective Kevin Ryan had been the one to call Richard Castle working a long day with finishing up with some of the backlog of cases. When he sees that Castle had answered the phone, he was holding back a lump in his throat.
Castle had been somewhat shocked that Detective Kevin Ryan had asked him to join in the investigation of the two murders on board the party boat Jaybell. "Detective Ryan I will be there as soon as I contact my wife Kate Beckett and let her know the situation.
He turned slightly to see out of corner of his eyes was his daughter Alexis talking to Hayley over a detail on another case.
"I understand Castle do what is needed to let Captain Beckett know the situation. But I need to let you know that we are racing the clock to fine the other two involved in the killings." Ryan had to tell him the truth of the matter.
"Of course, Ryan, I completely understand. As I said I will be there as soon as I can." he sounded annoyed for the most part.
Ryan will hang up the connection to head back to his work. Otherwise Castle came over to the two finishing up their conversation as Shipley had left the area to take the old fashion elevator to another meeting down by Police Plaza.
"Dad, what's going on with the phone conversation to have a serious look on your face?" Alexis having been a little annoyed with Hayley.
"I need to send a text message to Kate since the boys had asked me to help them out on the case of two murders on a party boat." Castle explained.
Exhaling for a brief moment. "Dad, you do realize that Beckett is going to be upset at you for working on a case from the 12th precinct?" Alexis had been very serious with her comment to her father.
Castle will place a gentle hand onto his daughter's shoulder for emotional support. "Thanks, but I have already committed to Ryan and Esposito to work on the case." Castle says trying to stay calm the best he could.
"Fine, dad. I just hope to god that Kate is going to understand your madness at this time!" Alexis walked away from her father to continue on with her work.
Meanwhile Castle had pulled out his phone to send the text to his wife.

Captain Kate Beckett had been sitting in her SUV after finishing the last meeting with the police commissioner in regard to the recent crime spree. She had been finishing her coffee now cold when her phone was beeping with a text message. She had no idea who it was from until she decided to take a look at the name.
All of a sudden her heart was fluttering in her chest to see her husband's name. She will start to read the text to have fire in her eyes all of a sudden. "SON OF A BITCH, CASTLE!" she cried out. She had the address for where Castle was heading for the coroner's office. She had finished her cold coffee looking at the red light only making her madder.
She decided on her cell phone once again to contact Alexis to see where Castle's daughter was located. Right away she picked up the phone for where she was having drinks with her husband William at home. He was getting ready to head for the 12th precinct for his shift with his partner.
Sitting in the living room of their apartment while their daughter was with Castle's mother Martha shopping for a new hat and dress for the next day out.
"Will, it's Beckett. I need to be talking to her with no doubt having to find out that my father is working on a new case for Ryan and Esposito." she had told him with the information.
