May could feel nervousness sink down her stomach. Him! She knew she recognized the teacher, was she perhaps his mentor? May anxiously swallowed and continued on what she was saying. 'I... I'm May. May maple. It's awesome to meet you all..' May murmured, barely loud enough.
May could catch the boy smirking at her in the back. 'All right, thank you for the introduction, May Maple. You can sit wherever you'd like, then,' The woman said, sweetly smiling once again. May gave a simple nodded and trotted to the front desks - far, far away from him.
Except, this time, he didn't have his hood on. He looked familiar, like she'd seen him somewhere else. ...Wait. Could it be the guy she saw on the roserunners volleyball team? She cocked an eyebrow, only to realize she was staring at the guy. Her cheeks flushed red in embarrassment when she caught his smirk again.
Panicked, she immediately spun back to look back at the older woman. 'Okay. Go and grab your books! Turn to page 93.'
'Waaah! May!' Brianna whined, grabbing May into a hug. May sadly hugged her back, a half hearted smile tugging the corner of her lips. 'No way you had to switch classes...! I finally had a friend and then the principal shows up and shoves that sudden news into your face..' brianna breathed.
May nodded. 'Yeah.. It really was last minute. I'm so sorry, Brianna. I promise we can still hang out! Like during breaks, after school maybe...' she suggested, patting Brianna on the back. Brianna nodded happily, letting go of May. 'Okay.. that sounds good! As long as we keep contact, 'kay?' Brianna added.
May put her thumbs up. 'We definitely will! But, oh my god, I've got to tell you and Dawn something important.' May exclaimed softly, with a tone of annoyance in her voice. Brianna tilted her head curiously. 'Oh! Then let's head to the cafeteria and look for Dawn! I'm pretty sure she'll be there waiting for us.' Brianna suggested, as May nodded back at her.
'Wait, so you're in the same class now with the guy that humiliated you on your first day?' Dawn squealed, shielding her mouth with her hand. May gave a nod while smiling halfheartedly — Brianna listened along too, carefully and quietly. 'He's got green hair, and I'm pretty sure he was one player on the rose runners team.'
'No way!' Brianna yelled, startling both May and Dawn. 'S-So you're in class H3B?!'
May blinked confusedly. '...Yes? I am—' 'That's SO COOL! So you're like in the same class as Drew Hayden! Aah!' Brianna giggled, her cheeks flushing red. 'that means that I can perhaps meet him!' she added, whispering.
'Wait, so you're implying that the guy who humiliated me is Drew Hayden? That guy all the girls are chasing after?' May asked, her voice high in disbelief. She rubbed her neck anxiously. Brianna nodded. 'Yes! Yes, that's true! Oh, you're so lucky..! I'm jealous!' She laughed, as she gave May a playful push.
'Eh, I don't know..' May muttered. 'I don't know what those girls see in him, I don't think I'm interested in the slightest.' May huffed, placing her lunchbox back into her bag. 'Y-You're not? But he's really pretty, sporty and not to mention rich!' Brianna croaked, accusingly squinting her eyes at May.
May nervously smiled back. 'Listen, seeing how intimidating he was I don't really want to be near him. Plus, being sporty, pretty and rich isn't important to me. What for me matters is the person they really are! And knowing the kind of jerk he was, I... I don't know if I want to be close to him at all..' May explained.
Dawn nodded, understanding. 'I guess that makes sense! Just means you gotta stay out of his way..' May swallowed; and how was she supposed to do that at all? She was in his class now, there was not much she could do...

The muttering caused for the students frown to crack into a grin — not interested in Drew Hayden, huh? Well that was something new! The oh so popular Drew Hayden had to know what that girl thought of him; he wasn't afraid to admit it, he wasn't a fan of Drew Hayden himself in the slightest.
The guy was extremely self confident and not to mention mysterious. If there really were a girl out there that wouldn't fall for his charms, then that could completely destroy his confidence! The student smirked, dumping his last piece of octillery snacks into his mouth.
'Anyway, May, if you could.. uhm... would you mind telling me where your next class is so I can introduce myself to Drew?'
May cocked her eyebrow. 'What? You wanna introduce yourself to Drew already? Well, sure..' May huffed, smiling halfheartedly. 'But don't think I'm coming along with you! Don't want any more embarrassing moments around that guy, you know.'
Brianna nodded. 'Sure, sure! Just.. where's your next class?' Brianna pushed, glaring over Mays shoulder. 'in 1.05. at 11:00am we'll be done! once you're done talking to the guy you can meet me in the cafeteria,' May exclaimed, her eyes fluttering shut for a brief moment.
'Okay! Got you!~ I'm so excited to meet mr Hayden! I hope I can be his friend..' she whispered excitedly, pinching her cheeks. 'As long he doesn't hurt you or humiliate you I'm good with that. Just promise you'll be careful around the guy, okay?'
'Yes, will do!' Brianna giggled.
