May had done more and more activities, ranging from simple minigames to larger competitions. It had greatly worn May out, and she wasn't so keen on doing anything else that day. She just wanted to rest for a bit, recover from the intensive activities.

May was tired, however, nobody else seemed as tired as she was. Most of the students were still happily chatting on and about, playing with game cards they had brought with themselves. She even had heard rumors that some people had snuck their phones in, which, wasn't allowed at all.

Everyone had eaten dinner, and now everyone was just relaxing a bit, nothing intensive going on at all. She had no idea if there would be any activities for that night, because the day after they would immediately head for the bus ride back home, so no activities would be held then.

May was relieved she was able to go home soon, she had seen Drew way too much, and, honestly, she wanted some time for herself without him constantly annoying her. Not just that, she had quite some awkward moments with him as well, and wasn't so keen on constantly having that awkwardness between them when they saw each other.

She now was casually laying in bed, with her hands beneath her head. She absentmindedly glared up at the ceiling, flat out ignoring all sounds that could be heard around her. She let her eyes flutter shut, simply enjoying the moment. And she was enjoying the moment, until a teacher stepped in.

'Hey you guys, the activity for tonight will be announced. Make sure you'll be in the main hall in about a minute or five, OK?' the teacher noted, turning around and closing the door, not even waiting for a response, only simply to deliver a message. 'So we will have an activity for tonight? I hope it'll be what we do at the end of camp every year..' one of the girls mumbled.

'Me too!' Another girl happily chimed in. 'And how about you, Drew? Are you excited for tonight's activity?' She asked, curiously turning her head to look at Drew. Drew dryly glared back at the girl before nodding. 'I guess,' he just answered, laying back into his bed. May opened her eyes to glare at Drew.

HARLEY'S POV

Harley was sitting on his bed, brainstorming ideas. He had planned plenty of things to ruin May's day, but Drew kept on getting in the way; though he wasn't sure wether he was on to him or not, it was hard to tell. 'Ey Harley, what're you thinking about?'

Harley snapped back to reality when his friend had called out to him. 'Oh! Heh, nothing.' He grinned, crossing his arms. 'Just thinking about the activities of tonight, y'know..' He lied, his eyes narrowing. 'About that.. do you guys think it'll be a dance party? Like they do every year?' one of the guys chimed in.

'I think!' Another guy answered. 'If so, I'm totally gonna ask to dance with Natalie,' he said proudly, lifting himself up from his bed. 'I'm really sure she's interested in me!' He grinned.

Harley's eyes widened; that was it! The dance party! The corners of his mouth cracked into a grin as he felt excitement fill his stomach. he snickered, the boys curiously glaring back at him. 'Yeah... I think I have an idea who I'll be asking to dance, then, too..'

RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

May was sitting down, her hands on her laps. It was announced that that night there would be a dance party held, including a moment of karaoke during the first half hour or the party. Something that May didn't know was that in the large hall, there was actually a sort of ball room, except kind of smaller.

'Well, don't expect you'll be getting any sleep tonight, May,' Misty said, sitting next to her. 'Each year I barely had any sleep because of the loud noise still ringing through my ears,' she grunted, childishly smiling back at the brunette. 'Yeah.. I hope it won't be so bad,' May agreed with her, glaring up at the ceiling.

May stepped into the larger hall, immediately greeted by large groups of students talking to each other. Part of the hall was already filled, with chairs as well as lights.

She quietly sighed before sitting down, glaring up at the large screen that was hung up. Misty had told her that there they would basically put lyrics of a song and they'd just have to sing, it would be as simple as that. May loves singing, so she wasn't necessarily upset about the karaoke part.

'Hey, May.'

May lifted her head to look up at Drew, who was now sitting next to her. A smirk was plastered on his face as his eyes glistened with amusement. 'Ready for the karaoke?' He inquired, running his hands through his hair. 'Hi, Drew. And I sure am,' May retorted, looking back at the screen. 'It's been a while since I've done karaoke..'

'Really? Is it because everyone couldn't stand your singing?' Drew commented, squinting his eyes at May accusingly. Mays eyes slightly widened, irritation immediately flashing through them. 'No way! It's just been a long while, I don't ever go to karaoke!' She hissed.

Drew crossed his arms, closing his eyes dismissively. 'If you say so, June. I completely understand you're a bit too embarrassed to admit that you've got terrible skill,' He grimaced, cocking one of his eyebrows. 'I'm not embarrassed to admit it because it's not true!' May protested, but Drew just snickered at her reply. 'Oh, miss Maple. You're just denying!' He laughed back at her.

May was about to angrily reply, when the loud ringing of music runs throughout the hall cut her off. May flinched before glaring up at the screen. The lyrics was shown on screen and students immediately began singing along. She wasn't familiar with the song though, so she just waited for another song to roll in.

May felt a tap on her shoulder as she glared back at Drew, who was grinning at her. 'Not singing, hm? So you are embarrassed,' Drew laughed, making anger boil up in Mays chest. Mays cheeks turned red in irritation. 'That's not true! I don't know this song, so I can't really sing along with it, can I?' she snapped.

Drew looked at her in surprise before shaking his head dismissively. 'You can, the lyrics is literally on the screen. May, if you're so scared to admit it, just say so. I won't laugh at you,' Drew challenged her, his eyelids sinking slightly. May clenched her teeth. 'I am not scared, Drew. Just wait for it. Once a song that I'm familiar with comes up, I'll sing.' Drew just stifled a laugh, not even bothering to look her in the eyes. 'Of course, of course.'

After a minute or three had gone by, the song had ended and everyone was cheering. Everyone was happily chatting, waiting for the next song to come on. And like to be expected, a song was played that, this time, May actually was able to recognize. If anything, it was one of her very favorite songs. She widely smiled as she happily began singing along with the others.

DREW HAYDEN'S POV

Drew looked at May in surprise. She actually was singing. If he were honest, he had doubts that May would sing at all, and that the fact that 'she didn't know the song' was a dumb excuse to avoid any embarrassment. But here she was.. singing.

And she looked awfully happy too, like she was having a great time. The sweet singing of the brunette entered his ears and he couldn't help but feel his cheeks getting red. Not wanting to feel any more embarrassment, he turned his head back around to the screen and quietly began murmuring along, not wanting to stand out.

But no matter how many voices that could be heard, and how many students were around, Drew couldn't help but hear her. He couldn't help but look at her only. He quickly sent her a smile, which wasn't received, since May was still looking at the screen with the lyrics constantly re-appearing on screen.

It felt like, suddenly, he understood. It was like he finally understood that he had gotten happier. That he felt more comfortable being himself. That, perhaps, May and him could become better friends. Better friends than what they were currently.

RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

May panted, regaining breath. Her throat felt incredibly dry after singing so much, so she lift herself up from her chair and headed over to the punch table to grab a drink of water.

She happily sighed to herself after taking a sip; singing surely was exhausting, especially for one's voice. It had been about a minute or five that the karaoke part had ended. Most people where chatting, though there were people out that were already dancing. May giggled to herself, this karaoke night wasn't as stupid as she thought it'd originally be.

However, she was suddenly startled when someone poked her on the shoulder. Almost coughing out the water she still had in her mouth, she turned around, eyes half closed. 'Hi..?' She murmured, slightly shaking from the surprise that leapt through her body still.

It was Harley, with his hands behind his back. 'I scared you, didn't I? I'm so sorry!' He apologized, taking a bow before May. May blinked at him in confusion before giving him a smile. 'No, It's OK. Just almost choked on my water,' May giggled, 'That's all. Uhm, do you need anything, Harley?'

'Ah, right!' Harley gasped. 'Ah, I was wondering if you'd dance with me?' Harley asked, inviting his hand out to the brunette. May hesitated for a hot second before she accepted his invite, took his hand and walked to the dance floor with him. However, she hadn't noticed Harley was the only one that was looking at her.

'Enjoying the night so far, hm?' Harley asked in a sing-song voice, happily dancing on and about with May beside him. 'I guess I am!' May giggled. 'And how about you? Did you find the karaoke fun?' May questioned, remembering how much fun she had singing her lungs out, although it did make her throat very dry.

'Yes, of course it was fun, honey.' he smirked. 'I had a great time singing and all that,' he hummed, twirling around the room as May giggled at his dance moves. 'Well, glad you had fun, right?' May exclaimed, following Harley suit. 'Absolutely,' Harley grinned.

HARLEY'S POV

Harley grinned widely, with May basically in his arms. His plan was going like he had thought it out, and this time nothing was able to go wrong! The purple haired student felt excitement run through his body as he kept on dancing, ready for the best part of the show.

His overall idea was to make a fool of May on the dance floor, like making her trip. And that wouldn't be so difficult, since May was basically following him around like a sick puppy in order to not mess anything up. She stood close to him, preventing anyone from messing it up again.

Harley grinned, ready for the best part. He was purposely going to step on May's foot so she'd slip — and so she'd fall, and everyone could she the embarrassing moment. The corners of his cheeks cracked into an even larger grin, as he stepped on her foot. May flinched before losing her balance, falling backwards.

MAY MAPLE'S POV

May felt fear running through her body when she felt herself losing balance. She felt herself falling down, and not to mention a nasty feeling stung in her foot.

She expected big pain from the impact as she was falling, but she felt herself getting caught; two hands wrapped around her waist and she felt herself falling into someone's chest. Who was this? With surprise gleaming in her eyes May was still looking at Harley, and he looked surprised as well. 'Being a little clumsy, Maple?' She felt someone breathe in her neck. It was Drew.

Drew felt his lips brush past May's hair as he looked at Harley again. 'Or were you perhaps the clumsy one, Harley?' Drew commented, a grin appearing on his face.

Harley looked like he was going to flip, and that amused Drew to the core. He had figured he was up to no good again, he had been smirking evilly constantly whilst having May in his arms. Harley didn't respond, his eyebrows only furrowed at him accusingly. 'Were you trying to make this lady trip?' He whispered at Harley.

Silence filled then room, and all eyes were on them. 'N-No,' Harley gasped, sweat running his neck. Drew squinted his eyes at Harley, still smirking at the shocked student. 'Is that true? Then why'd you step on her foot and grin when you did so, hm?' He inquired, still holding May. Harley hesitated before answering. 'It was an accident..' He just answered.

Drew smirked, shrugging as if he wasn't able to care less. 'Sure,' He said. 'Just leave this lady alone, all right?' He exclaimed, dropping his chin on Mays head, that way he was basically leaning on her head, causing for Mays cheeks to flare even a more saturated red. Harley awkwardly took a few steps back and disappeared in the large crowd.

'Are you OK, May?' Drew huffed into her hair, and May looked up at him. 'I'm... f-fine,' she murmured, blushing, turning around to stand on her own, but it nearly looked like she collapsed, but she managed to catch her balance. May groaned in pain. 'My ankle.. I think it twisted when I lost my balance..' May exclaimed.

Worry filled Drew's eyes. 'Go sit down on a chair,' Drew advised her, helping her to a chair. 'I'll go get someone for you,' he told her. May nodded, and once they had made it to the chairs May sat down. 'Thank you.. Drew,' May thanked him calmly, though her cheeks were still burning red. 'No problem.'

With a wet cloth on her foot she felt like her pain was slowly being drained away. Though the May tripping incident had caused some surprise among the crowd that was watching, mainly because the infamous Drew Hayden was holding some nobody, the party was now ongoing, and it had appeared like nothing had happened. May absentmindedly looked at her feet. 'How's your ankle?'

May looked up to meet Drew's eyes. He eventually sat down next to her. 'Oh.. it's doing a little better, I guess. I should be a little more careful from now on though..' May chuckled awkwardly. 'Yeah, you should be careful — near Harley, too.' Drew agreed.

May turned her head to look at him. 'But.. I'm sure he's a good guy, Drew,' May mumbled back, picking up the stern tone in his voice. Drew shook his head. 'No, he's not. I've been in this school for a while, May. I've had plenty of interactions with around him and have heard stuff.' He protested, cocking an eyebrow. 'I just don't want him to harm anybody.' I don't want him to hurt you..

'O-Okay. If you say so I'll avoid getting too close to him again,' May murmured. May slightly moved her feet, expecting some kind of pain, but it felt like all of it had disappeared in a mere minute. Drew shot May a glare. 'Glad.' He exclaimed, eventually looking back down at his legs. 'Thanks for saving me out of that nasty situation, Drew.' May whispered. 'Of course.'
