grimmangel108: Very entertaining, I look forward to the next chapter.
FanficThinker: Im glad that you enjoyed, the next chapter will come when possible
Cyan Quartz: Yooo, this story is DOPE
FanficThinker: I'm glad that you like the story so much, hehe feel free to give out ideas if you want, let's make it even more Dope!
DjRodriguez: Thank you for updating this! And thanks for correcting me concerning Sheldon. Heh, I really need to look more closely at the information and characters like so. So I do appreciate the correction, thank you.
It seems that Yamcha is getting accustomed to his new digs, but it seems already he is hoping for something to really give him a challenge. And also I believe he wishes to know more about the SCP Foundation and more of their personnel. The part where he gives encouragement to the two guards who will be assigned to a new, more dangerous area shows that he still has his positive attitude like from the old days.
And soon he meets up with Dr. Monica, and the two share some pleasantries before she starts to ask him about his strength and abilities. And I have to say, I do not blame the doctor for being surprised by what she hears from Yamcha. Though I have to admit, I was curious as to why he left out the dinosaurs like the Allosaurus chasing him and Krillin.
I bet the doctor will inform her superiors, and they will be stunned to learn the unique training Yamcha in all, this is an excellent and solid foundation that Yamcha is doing concerning his relationship with Monica and also the SCP Foundation. Let us see where it takes us! And also the part of the little girl... I wonder who she is? This inquiring mind wants to know!
FanficThinker: Yamcha is a really nice and chill dude, I can imagine him just being carefree and giving some piece of advice here and there. The reason why Yamcha didn't mention the dinosaurs is mostly because he has been living on this new world for a while now and he never saw or felt any Dinosaurs around, which made him think they either didn't exist or were all dead and since he saw how surprised some of his new friends seem to get when he talks about his training he thought it was perhaps a good idea to not speak of something that doesn't exist here but it does where he came from.
I'm sure they will be surprised, Master Roshi training it's not just for anyone to know or go through that's for sure, as for who was the girl? Look up this chapter more to find out and who knows? You may learn more hehehe.
Doctor Monica stood before the array of high-tech monitors in the dimly lit chamber. The room was adorned with blinking lights, intricate machinery, and an air of secrecy that seemed to hang in the atmosphere. She knew she was about to engage in a conversation with the highest authority within the SCP Foundation, the enigmatic O5 Council.
'Ugh…why do they keep calling me? I thought they were supposed to only talk to those who were really close to them or something, I don't want to deal with someone so high above me, it's too much pressure'
As the monitors flickered to life, revealing the shadowed figures of the O5 Council, Dr. Monica couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. Their presence was always a reminder of the immense power and responsibility they held.
"Doctor Monica," one of the O5 Council members began, their voice echoing through the chamber. "We've been monitoring the progress with the anomaly known as Yamcha and its reports"
Dr. Monica nodded, maintaining a composed demeanor. "Yes, Council members. Yamcha's presence has raised many questions but we also assessed him and each day we learn more"
The monitors displayed a collective nod from the Council, though their faces remained concealed. "We understand that this individual possesses extraordinary abilities, we saw it on the footage both out and in this facility, and his cooperation with the Foundation is a positive development. However, it is imperative that we assign him an SCP number and classification in accordance with our protocols right about now"
Dr. Monica hesitated for a moment, her thoughts racing. She understood the significance of the SCP designation, but she also knew that Yamcha might not take kindly to being referred to by a number. "Council members, I must express my concern. Not everyone responds positively to being classified by a number. Yamcha values his individuality and may find such a designation dehumanizing."
So far Yamchah had demonstrated to be a good-mannered person with the mental capacity and morality of a normal human being, he was not crazy, insane, bloodthirsty, or sadistic, he wasn't a monster, a demon, or anything worse so she wondered what reaction he would have by being called a number and how negatively that would ensure.
The Council members exchanged glances, their voices carrying an air of authority. "Doctor Monica, while we respect his individuality, it is equally essential to establish that within the SCP Foundation, our protocols and regulations must be upheld. Assigning him a designation is not just a formality; it is a demonstration of our authority and the structure that governs our operations. Remember that attaching ourselves to the anomalies far more than what your job requires is prohibited"
Dr. Monica sighed, realizing the gravity of the situation. She knew she needed to convey this to Yamcha, even if it might not sit well with him. "I understand, Council members. I will do my best to explain the necessity of this step to Yamcha and ensure his cooperation."
The Council members nodded in unison, their faces remaining hidden in the shadows. "Very well, Doctor Monica. We trust in your ability to handle this matter with discretion and diplomacy. Maintain the delicate balance between cooperation and containment."
With a final nod, the monitors faded to black, leaving Dr. Monica to contemplate the impending conversation with Yamcha. She knew that conveying the importance of the SCP designation would be a challenging task, but it was one she had to undertake to ensure the smooth integration of Yamcha into the SCP Foundation.
'Easier said than done, you guys are not the ones here having to deal with the aftermath' She mentally grumbled at that but knew that they were right, if they made an exception for him then every anomaly would want to be one too.
As she left the high-security room, her mind still consumed by the weighty conversation with the O5 Council, she moved through the corridor with a sense of purpose. The hallway, lined with reinforced doors and armed guards, was a stark reminder of the secrecy that surrounded the SCP Foundation.
Lost in thought, she rounded a corner and abruptly collided with someone. Her initial reaction was one of surprise, but as she looked up, her eyes widened in recognition. Before she stood a tall and commanding figure, towering at 6'2". He exuded an aura of authority that seemed to permeate the very air around him.
His attire was an impeccable suit in neutral tones that accentuated his air of power and sophistication. His sharp hazel eyes, set against a stern countenance, held an intensity that spoke of years of experience within the Foundation. Strands of dark hair graying at the temples hinted at the weight of his responsibilities and the countless challenges he had faced.
She knew him well; he was none other than Site Director Alexander Thornfield, a man whose name was synonymous with the highest levels of command within the current site they worked on. His presence alone demanded respect, and his reputation for unwavering dedication to the Foundation's.
"Doctor Monica," He said in a deep, measured voice that conveyed both authority and curiosity. "I trust your meeting with the Council went as planned?"
She swallowed her unease and nodded, realizing the importance of maintaining composure in front of someone of his stature. "Yes, Site Director. They've requested that we assign an SCP designation to Yamcha, and I will be speaking with him shortly to convey their decision."
Site Director Williams nodded thoughtfully, his hazel eyes never leaving her. "Ah yes I heard about him, it appears some interesting stuff happened in the days I wasn't here. Remember though, that our duty to contain anomalies must always come first. Ensure that our newest fellow understands the significance of this designation, even if it may be challenging for him."
Doctor Monica couldn't help but feel the weight of his words. Site Director Williams was not known for offering advice lightly, and his expectations were clear. She knew that she had a difficult task ahead of her, one that would test her diplomatic skills and her commitment to the Foundation's mission.
With a final nod, Site Director Williams continued down the corridor, leaving Doctor Monica to gather her thoughts and prepare for her meeting with Yamcha. The encounter had served as a stark reminder of the formidable figures that governed the SCP Foundation and the unforgiving nature of their responsibilities.
"Tsc, great the room is dark again," The Site director said with an annoyed tone as he didn't like the dimly lit room for some reason.
As the dimly lit chamber faded from view, the scene shifted back to the hallway where Yamcha had encountered the mysterious little girl. The air seemed to regain a sense of normalcy as the shadows dispersed, and the atmosphere lightened. Yamcha continued to approach the blonde-haired girl with a fragile appearance, maintaining a friendly smile to put her at ease. He had no idea who she was or why she was here, but he couldn't ignore the anxiety and sadness that radiated from her.
"Hey there," Yamcha greeted her gently as he drew closer. "Are you okay? You seem a bit lost."
The girl's eyes, the color of a clear sky, shifted from the floor to meet Yamcha's gaze. Her voice was soft and barely audible as she replied, "I'm just…waiting for someone'
"That's understandable. Waiting can be tough sometimes. Do you mind if I keep you company until they arrive?"
The girl hesitated for a moment, her expression torn between trust and uncertainty. But something in this man's demeanor seemed to reassure her that there was no need to be wary, and she finally nodded. "Okay…"
Yamcha offered a warm smile and moved to sit on the bench near the girl, making sure to give her some space while maintaining a friendly distance. As he settled in, he extended his hand toward her. "I'm Yamcha, by the way. It's nice to meet you."
The girl regarded his hand for a moment, then hesitantly placed her smaller hand in his for a brief handshake. "SCP-706," she replied softly, her voice trembling slightly.
Yamcha furrowed his brow in confusion, not understanding why the moment he asked for her name she said a number, but she also said the initials of the organization that currently was in, one of the sites but still.
"Why do they call you that?"
The girl lowered her gaze to her lap, her fingers nervously fiddling with the hem of her dress. "That's how they identify all of us in this place. It helps them stay organized and make sure everything is safe…or so I heard"
Yamcha nodded in understanding to show her he was listening, but he didn't like what he heard. Being referred to by a number rather than a name must be a lonely and dehumanizing experience. He decided to change the topic, hoping to make her feel more at ease.
"Well, it's nice to meet you nonetheless. I'm here if you want to chat if you'd like. Waiting can be boring, right?"
The girl, SCP-706, seemed to appreciate Yamcha's attempt to engage in conversation and nodded, her eyes lighting up just a bit "I guess so. I've been here for a long time, and there's not much to do."
Yamcha could sense the loneliness in her words, and he wanted to offer some comfort. "I can imagine. But hey, maybe we can make the waiting a bit more interesting. Do you like to hear stories? I've got a few I could share."
SCP-706's curiosity got the better of her, and she turned around slowly "What type of stories?"
Yamcha smiled, happy to see SCP-706's interest piqued. He began to tell her a story of a young boy, whose journey started in a secluded forest far from civilization. As he recounted the tale, his words painted vivid images in SCP-706's mind.
"He was a little boy with a monkey tail, and he lived all alone in the woods," Yamcha began. "But he wasn't just an ordinary boy. He possessed incredible strength and agility, thanks to his heritage."
Yamcha went on to describe the monkey boy's adventures, from his first encounter with a very smart young girl that would help him, to his training under a wise master of martial arts. He detailed the quest for a magical set of orbs that could grant any wish, and how he used his newfound abilities to protect the Earth from any danger.
"Throughout his journey, he made many friends and faced formidable foes," Yamcha continued. "But no matter how tough things got, he never gave up. He always stood back up and surpassed his own limits."
SCP-706 listened with rapt attention, her eyes wide and filled with wonder. She seemed captivated by the tale of a young boy who overcame challenges and grew into a powerful protector of the Earth "Whoa…that was so interesting, I never heard a story like that"
Yamcha smirks 'Honestly Goku is just a guy who enjoys fighting, simple as that' But he was pleased to have brought a bit of light to the little girl's day. "You're welcome. Remember, there's always hope, even in difficult situations. And if you ever want to hear more stories or just chat, I'll be right here."
As SCP-706 listened to Yamcha's story, her expression shifted from wonder to a gentle frown. Thoughts of her past and her current situation weighed heavily on her young mind, having to endure scars that ran deep. However, before she could share her thoughts or express her feelings, the heavy door to the room where they were waiting swung open. A researcher, clad in the standard Foundation uniform, emerged into the hallway. The researcher's eyes widened with surprise as they took in the unexpected presence of Yamcha.
However, SCP-706, recognizing the researcher as the one responsible for her sessions, quickly stood up from the bench. She turned to Yamcha with a small, sad smile, her eyes glistening with unspoken emotions. "It's time for my session," she said softly.
Yamcha didn't understand what type of session she meant by that but nodded, understanding the need for her to continue with her scheduled activities within the facility. "Of course. I hope your session goes well, and maybe we'll meet again."
SCP-706's smile grew slightly, and she nodded in response. "Thank you for the story," she whispered before turning and walking toward the researcher, who was waiting patiently.
As the door closed behind them, Yamcha was left alone in the hallway once more, contemplating the brief but meaningful connection he had made with SCP-706. He couldn't help but wonder about the stories and struggles of the anomalies within the SCP Foundation and the unique challenges they faced.
As Yamcha turned to leave the hallway, his thoughts filled with the encounter with SCP-706, and he decided to return to his containment room.
With each step, he moved swiftly down the corridor, his pace quickening as he approached the junction leading to his containment area. His thoughts were a whirlwind of curiosity, empathy, and a growing desire to learn more about the anomalies and individuals within the SCP Foundation.
However, just as he was about to turn the corner, he collided with someone once again, causing him to stumble back a step. Yamcha's initial surprise quickly gave way to recognition, and he couldn't help but smile faintly as he realized who he had bumped into.
"Fancy meeting you here," He remarked with a smile. "I didn't expect to run into you so soon, Doctor Monica."
She scratched the back of her head "Yeah, I didn't think I'd see you again this quickly either"
Yamcha looked at her for a moment, noticing Doctor Monica's change in demeanor. He could tell that she had something important to discuss, and her hesitation only heightened his curiosity. "Is there something on your mind, Doctor Monica?"
She took a deep breath, steeling herself for the conversation ahead. "Yes, Yamcha, there is. I spoke with the higher-ups, and they've made a decision regarding your classification within the SCP Foundation."
Yamcha's expression grew more serious, and he nodded, anticipating that this moment would come sooner or later. "I figured as much. Is it a number huh? Speaking of which I wanted to talk to you about that"
She tensed a bit when he said "What do you want to know?"
"Why do you guys use numbers on the anomalies? Don't they have names?"
She paused, searching for the right words to explain further, there was no way she could just callously say that using numbers was to detach their humanity as nothing but study objects, those who acted all high and mighty like that didn't go far in her opinion, she had to be smart, to make him understand t on an objective way.
"You see…In some cases, the anomalies we encounter are highly dangerous, and forming emotional connections with them could lead to compromised judgment and potential risks. Some of them either have no control over their abilities, while others are just manipulating your emotions. The use of numbers helps us prioritize the safety of both our personnel and the general population."
Yamcha nodded in understanding, although he couldn't help but feel a tinge of sadness for the anomalies within the Foundation. "I see your point, after evil can disguise itself as good It's just that calling someone by a number feels so…lonely"
Doctor Monica's expression softened as she sympathized with Yamcha's perspective. "I understand how it can come across as impersonal, and I appreciate your empathy. It's important to remember that while the Foundation uses numbers for identification, many of us within the organization still recognize and respect the humanity and uniqueness of each anomaly we encounter. It's a delicate balance we strive to maintain."
Yamcha gave a thoughtful nod. "I guess I'll have to get used to it and take your word for it"
Doctor Monica smiled gently, appreciating Yamcha's willingness to adapt to the Foundation's protocols. "Thank you for your understanding, honest. I'm not just saying this because of protocol, I truly appreciate your collaboration. If you have any more questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out."
Yamcha's curiosity got the better of him, and he couldn't help but ask, "So, what's my SCP number?"
Doctor Monica hesitated for a moment before replying, "Your SCP designation is SCP-8000."
Yamcha blinked in surprise, his eyes widening. "Eh? 8000? That's a pretty high number! Does that mean there are thousands of anomalies here? And is there any significance to the numbers, like, are they assigned in order or do they have some meaning?"
Doctor Monica chuckled, understanding Yamcha's curiosity. "There are a lot of them in here but not all of them, we would need a super-mega sized Site and personnel for that to happen. Also, SCP numbers are assigned sequentially, so the higher the number, the more recent the anomaly's classification. As for significance, it's mainly for organizational purposes and doesn't carry any specific meaning beyond that. The number is just a way to catalog and manage anomalies efficiently."
Yamcha absorbed this information, realizing that he was indeed part of a vast catalog of anomalies within the SCP Foundation; it was a sobering thought.
"Alright…SCP-8000 it is," Yamcha said with a small smile. "But if we ever see each other when you're off the clock or eating, try calling me by my name"
"Heh, if possible I try. As for your classification, you will be classified as Safe"
"Classification Safe?"
"Any doubts?" She began walking and he followed suit.
"Can you explain to me what those classifications are and why mine is safe?" He asked, curiously.
"The SCP Foundation employs a classification system to categorize anomalies based on their properties and the level of danger they pose. Let me walk you through some of the main classifications you should be aware of"
"First up, we have the Safe category. These are objects or entities that we understand well and can contain with little to no risk. They're generally not dangerous, and containment procedures are relatively straightforward."
"Got it. So Safe either means harmless or easy to contain" Yamcha mentioned.
"Exactly. Moving on, we have the Euclid designation. These are objects or entities that are unpredictable, challenging to contain, or have properties that we don't fully understand. Euclid-class SCPs demand more attention and resources for containment." She said, thinking about how much they learned about an anomaly only to have more to show.
"So, Euclid is like the unpredictable new horizon"
"That's right. As for Keter, you can say that these are highly dangerous anomalies that are exceptionally difficult to contain and pose a significant threat to personnel or even the world. Containing Keter-class SCPs often requires elaborate and stringent procedures."
"Oof! Sounds like a lot of trouble" Yamcha wondered what a Keter would look like
"You have no idea. Now Thaumiel are SCPs that we use to contain or counteract other SCPs. Thaumiel-class SCPs are quite rare and usually play a crucial role in our containment efforts."
Yamcha: "So, Thaumiel is like the hero category?"
"Uhm…more like a security system or antibody to prevent further damage. Now, let's touch on Neutralized. These are objects or entities that were once anomalous but have lost their anomalous properties or have been rendered harmless in some way."
"So basically no longer a problem to worry about"
"You're catching on quickly. There is the Esoteric class which is relatively less common and encompasses a wide range of anomalous objects or entities that don't fit neatly into the other categories. They often have unique or unusual properties."
"Esoteric sounds like the catch-all category."
Doctor Monica: "Lastly, we have Apollyon. This classification is the most dangerous of them all, it implies an imminent, world-ending threat. Apollyon-class SCPs are considered beyond our capacity to contain, and their effects cannot be stopped or mitigated. I only heard tales of these"
"Now that sounds terrifying," He said, thinking back at all the enemies that came to his earth that could destroy it 'I wonder what those types of beings would be like here'
Doctor Monica nodded solemnly "Well there is also the decommissioned class where some anomalies were stripped of their anomalous status due to how dangerous they were and Archon who are better left uncontained or where they are, the categories are honestly pretty complicated, and sometimes reclassification is needed"
Yamcha nodded, absorbing the complexity of the SCP classification system. "It's a lot to take in, but it makes sense"
After some time walking they eventually arrived at Yamcha or in this case SCP-8000 containment room, Yamcha couldn't help but reflect on the events of the day. From his encounter with SCP-706 to the conversation with Doctor Monica about the SCP classification system. He knew that his life had taken a drastic turn, and he was now a part of the enigmatic SCP Foundation.
Doctor Monica stopped in front of the door to Yamcha's containment room, turning to face him with a warm smile before saying bye and turning to head back down the corridor, leaving Yamcha standing in front of his containment room. As she disappeared from view, the heavy door to Yamcha's room opened, and he stepped inside.
*Meanwhile…*
Site Director Alexander Thornfield sat behind his desk, his eyes fixed on a computer screen displaying the footage of Yamcha's recent interaction with SCP-706. The video played in a loop, capturing the moments when Yamcha had encountered the young anomaly on one of her therapy sessions while waiting.
As he watched the footage, he noted Yamcha's demeanor, his friendly approach, and the small connection he had established with SCP-706.
The Site Director leaned forward, studying the screen intently as he considered the implications of this encounter. It was clear that Yamcha possessed a certain charm and charisma that had endeared him to SCP-706, a reaction not commonly seen among anomalies. Thornfield knew that this could potentially be both an opportunity and a risk.
As the video played on, Thornfield couldn't help but wonder how this man's presence would impact the dynamics within the facility and the anomalies themselves. He knew that the SCP Foundation's mission was to secure, contain, and protect, but he also understood that anomalies were not mere objects; they were individuals with their own complexities and emotions.
Deep in thought, Site Director Thornfield continued to watch the footage "Hmm…what more are you hiding?"
A\N: Hey there, one more chapter over my friends did you all enjoy? Is the size of these chapters good enough or should it be bigger? At first I was thinking about giving a number to Yamcha from one of the numbers on SCP wikidot that have [Access Denied] which are numbers at first I thought brought that (page doesn't exist) are those numbers that so far have no anomalies, but some of those you click on top and it will still show the information of said scp or bring you to a different one, not really sure if that is a error or not, so i went with 8000 because its a number that is not there yet so i took the chance.
Anyhow! Here are some questions that i would love to hear from you guys if possible
1- Did you guys like the appearance of SCP-706 aka the Porcelain girl and how Yamcha befriended her?
2- If you could have chosen another anomaly for Yamcha to meet, who would it be instead of Scp-706?
3- Do you think I'm being too soft with Yamcha interactions with the Foundation?
