Weird Chicken Hunt of Everfree Forest!
It has been two whole weeks since the Mane 6 and most citizens of Ponyville have built Aka a new home and a business place for his demon hunting business, the young demon hunting teen was very grateful that the town gave him an amazing gift and hope to live up to everyone's expectations into protecting them from any threats like demons or other bad things. Although there haven't been any demon hunting requests for the past couple of weeks as there have been only a few jobs he did like helping some folks with clean up in and errands in order to make some little money for himself. He also did a little detective work when he helped a little filly and colt finding their missing toys and finding out who took them, he learned a few detective skills from reading a few detective and mystery books back in his old world and some in Twilight's library.
Right now, Aka is sitting on his chair with his legs on the desk trying to think of doing something today as he hasn't gotten any calls of a customer for any demon hunting or whatsoever.
"Man, another slow day." Aka sighed as he opens a box of pizza and took out a slice.
"I wonder if this is how Uncle Dante feels when he ran his Devil May Cry shop, slow days and feeling bored." Aka asked himself before eating the pizza slice.
KNOCK KNOCK
"Come in!" Aka called out, seeing the door open revealing to be Spike and Rainbow Dash.
"Hey Aka, how's business doing?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Slow like before, I expected my business to be booming more than this." Aka gestured that the place is empty.
"Well, it has only been two weeks since your shop has official opened and we don't get much demon attacks these days, but at least you're doing something else than demon hunting." Spike pointed out as he places a little stack of comic books on the desk.
"What are those?" Aka asked as he picks up one comic book.
"Some new comic books I picked out, it's a series about a stallion who died and became a hell spawn fighting demonic threats and saving the world in the most brutal epic way possible." Spike explained.
"Cool, can't wait to read it." Aka interested.
"Oh yeah, Applejack asked me to deliver these apples and some pig meat to you." Rainbow Dash revealed a basket of apples and one big metal bucket of raw meat.
"Nice, I'll have to thank her later when I get the chance to visit her farm." Aka said as he takes the food to the kitchen.
"I got to admit, your place is looking a little better." Rainbow Dash commented seeing that Aka added a few little things of his own like a large poster of a monster horror movie on the wall and the skull of a the Cragadile that Aka killed two weeks ago hanging from the ceiling.
"Thanks, just thought about adding my own touch to make the place feel like home." Aka bragged a bit before sitting back on his chair.
"Anyway, how are things going with you guys?" Aka asked.
"I'm doing awesome like any other day, just practicing some of my moves for the Wondercolt I wanted to try out." Rainbow bragged doing a little backward midair flip.
"I'm doing okay with Twilight; I'm just helping her get ready for the new semester of the Friendship school." Spike mentioned.
"Oh yeah, that building by the crystal castle. She built that for other creatures to learn friendship like you ponies have." Aka remembered his friends mentioning that.
"Yep, dragons, changlings, yaks, griffons, hippogriff/seapony, and others." Spike listed the other creatures going to the school.
"Interesting, but what the fuck is a hippogriff and seapony?" Aka confused of the last part.
"Well, Hippogriffs are creatures that have the head, claws, and wings of an eagle and the hind legs and tail of a pony, they also have the ability to transform into seapony which are half-pony and half-fish. Two creatures in one body." Spike explained.
"Good to know, this school must be a little difficult to run with different creatures coming." Aka said.
"When we first opened the school, it kinda was but we managed to work things out and the students are willing to learn about friendship and other life lessons too." Spike chuckled.
"And in my class, everyone will become 200% awesome but not as awesome as me, of course." Rainbow Dash bragged as Spike rolls his eyes.
"Cool, I'll have to check that out one of these days." Aka said, curious of see what the school is like up close and on the inside.
Then suddenly Fluttershy came bursting through the door.
"Aka, I need your help!" Fluttershy panicked.
"Whoa, Fluttershy, where's the fire?" Aka asked sarcastically.
"Aka, something terrible has happened to my cottage!" Fluttershy informed worry.
"Okay, calm down, let's go see what's going on and tell me." Aka suggested, Fluttershy nodded and he got his sword and guns ready as he guts are his telling him that he'll need them.
(Fluttershy's Cottage)
Fluttershy lead Aka, Spike, and Rainbow Dash to her cottage where it's located right next to the Everfree forest.
"Uh, very comfy-looking." Aka commented on Fluttershy's home.
"Thank you, now here's the problem." Fluttershy gestured toward a destroyed scene of a small area.
"Isn't that your chicken coop?" Rainbow Dash recalled Fluttershy owning a chicken coop there.
"Yes, and now it's all destroyed, and all of my chickens are missing too!" Fluttershy worried.
"Hmm, it looks like it was done by a big creature with sharp claws." Aka analyzed the claw marks on the ground.
"That's what I thought too, and it crushed the chicken coop with its barefoot from what I can tell is some sort of giant bird." Fluttershy showed the large footprint.
"Interesting, it would seem whatever came to your home must've wanted the chickens alive consider there aren't any blood around or chicken corpses in sight." Aka stated.
"But why would a weird freaky creature want with chickens?" Spike confused.
"Maybe it wants to eat them in one bite, deep frying them crispy and tasty." Rainbow Dash guessed which made Fluttershy scared and pale.
"Oh, I mean, huh… the monster might take the chickens on a relaxing vacation." Rainbow Dash changed the subject hoping to cheer up Fluttershy.
"More like a scheme vacation to get some chicken nuggets." Aka said while thinking about some chicken nuggets for lunch.
"I think it's safe to say that it came from the Everfree forest." Spike pointed at the forest, Aka nod thinking the same thing.
"Fluttershy, was there anything odd last night at your chicken coop, something you might've notices?" Aka asked.
"N-No, I was putting my chickens into their nest for bedtime though now that I think about it, I did hear a strange noise coming from the brushes but there was nothing. I thought I was hearing things." Fluttershy mentioned.
"Hmm, looks like our monster was hiding near your home until you went to sleep and stole your chickens from under your nose." Aka stated as he starts walking toward the dangerous forest.
"Come on, let's go see what we're dealing with." Aka gestured the others to follow him.
"Oh, I hope my chickens are okay." Fluttershy prayed.
"Don't worry, Fluttershy, Aka will save them before they become Thanksgiving dinner." Rainbow Dash assured.
"I think you might want to lay off the chicken expressions." Spike advised as he sees Fluttershy looking more worried.
"Hehe, right." Rainbow Dash chuckled nod.
With the combined skills of Aka's detective thinking and Fluttershy's animal knowing working together to follow the trails left behind by the creasture to find it and the chickens it took, they walk through the woods for an hour until Fluttershy heard something from a distance.
"Shh, do you all hear that?" Fluttershy asked as she listen to the sound carefully, recognizing it to be a chicken noise.
"It's one of my chickens, we must be getting close." Fluttershy informed and the others follow Fluttershy as she was moving a little faster to follow the noise.
Soon, they came to see Fluttershy's chickens all inside a cave.
"Oh, I'm so glad you're all safe everyone." Fluttershy smiled as she was about to run to hug her chickens, but Aka stop her.
"Wait!" He said.
Suddenly, something big came bursting through the woods tearing down the trees revealing itself to be a giant snake monster with the head of a chicken.
"Okay, what am I looking at exactly?" Aka asked, not sure he should be intimated of this monster or laugh at it for how funny it looks.
"It's a Cockatrice?!" Fluttershy gasped.
"A what?" Aka asked again.
"A Cockatrice is one of the feared and dangerous creatures in the Everfree forest that can turn living things in stone with just a stare." Fluttershy explained.
"Like the ones that turned Twilight to stone before?" Spike asked a little scared.
"Yes, but… this one seems very different than the one I fend off." Fluttershy pointed out the difference between this Cockatrice and the one she knew.
This Cockatrice is not only bigger than a normal one, but its scales are also dark red instead of green with a longer beak, larger wings with four-finger claws, and the eyes are glowing viciously red.
When on the chickens try to make a break for it, the Cockatrice quickly turns its head toward that chicken and shot laser beams from its eyes hitting the chicken instantly turning it into stone.
"Laser stone eyes, that's new to me." Aka commented.
"And me too, I never seen a Cockatrice do that!" Fluttershy started to worry some more.
"Okay, Rainbow Dash, you're the fastest so you'll get the chickens to Fluttershy as she'll lead them to safety back home. Spike and I will keep it distracted." Aka planned.
"Got it!" Rainbow Dash agreed to the plan.
"Wait, I'm fighting too?" Spike confused.
"I can tell your strong, kid, so I want to see how dragons are in a fight." Aka smirked, Spike smirks back and open his wings wide.
(Music: Falling Down, Breaking Point)
"Let's roast this slithering bird!" Spike said before flying off.
"Hey, you overgrown feathered-lizard, let see if you can handle the heat!" Spike breathed in and let out green fire at the Cockatrice as it uses its wing to shield itself from the fire though it winces a little from the burn.
"Go!" Aka said to Rainbow Dash before running and shooting the Cockatrice with his guns.
Aka jump on the long body running up to the head while still shooting getting the chicken-snake set its anger on him which is what he wanted for the girls to get the chickens away from here.
Rainbow Dash using her amazing speed got the chickens over to Fluttershy who is hiding behind a tree one at a time, the animal caretaker mare told the chickens to be quiet and ran back to the cottage while the Cockatrice is distracted.
"Come on, let see you can keep up with me!" Spike taunted before flying straight up to the sky.
The Cockatrice roars in anger that its being challenged by a weak little dragon, it spread its wings and take up to the sky with Aka hanging on to dear like even impaling his sword to the side of the long body which didn't go unnoticed by the Cockatrice as it screech in pain. The chicken-snake looks down seeing Aka and he shot it on the head though the shot didn't kill it, the Cockatrice starts flying around like a crazy roller coaster in the air trying to shake him off but he wouldn't let go.
"Spike, I'm gonna need some air support!" Aka called out.
"On my way!" Spike responded as he flies toward Aka.
Aka quickly pull his sword out and jump off toward the head preforming some air slashes on the face, the Cockatrice tried to slap him away with its claws though the half-demon teen saw that coming and dodge it before getting grabbed by Spike holding on to his back.
"Spike, I got an idea." Aka said.
"A crazy one, I can guess." Spike grinned.
"You got it, just let me deal with those wings first." Aka said before shooting at the wings putting holes making it difficult for the giant Cockatrice to maintain flight for long and start to fall toward the ground.
"Okay, throw me up and unleashing your flame that way." Aka instructed.
"Got it." Spike said before using all his strength to throw Aka several feet higher than him and blow out his green flame forward.
Aka look down seeing Spike blowing his green fire and the Cockatrice screeching in anger, it try to shot its stone laser vision at Aka, but he reflected the beam back at the chicken monster with the shiny reflection of his sword turning the Cockatrice to stone. He smirks raising his sword above himself and dive fast toward the green fire and spins around very fast like turning himself into a human drill consuming Rebellion into the green flame heading to the stone giant Cockatrice drilling through the monster that break it into pieces.
Aka lands on the ground like an epic hero landing and raise his sword high showing a sign of victory as the pieces of the stone Cockatrice falls around him and Spike comes on pounding his fists in the air.
"That was awesome!" Spike shouted in excitement.
(Music End)
"Couldn't have said it better myself, Spike!" Rainbow Dash agreed as she and Fluttershy came to them.
"How are the chickens?" Aka asked.
"There all safe and accounted for, thank you so much, Aka." Fluttershy thanked cheerfully.
"You're welcome." Aka said before hearing an exhausting moan.
They all turn to see three pony folks coming out of the cave.
"What happened, how did we get here?" A red male stallion asked.
"It looks like the Cockatrice had more victims here than the chickens." Aka pointed out.
"Wait, I think those are the three ponies that disappeared a month ago and no could ever find them." Rainbow Dash recalled hearing about it from the news.
"The Cockatrice? I remember, I came across the giant red Cockatrice everything was blank." A blue female mare remembered.
"Don't worry, I already took care of it." Aka showed the broken head stone of the once feared Cockatrice.
"You… defeated the Cockatrice?" A pink stallion asked shock with the others.
"Yep, I'm Aka Redgrave, the Devil Protector of Ponyville. Now let's get you guys out of these woods and back to your nice comfy home." Aka offered to lead them back to Ponyville, they accepted without hesitation and everyone exit the Everfree Forest.
(Devil May Cry House)
"Man, that sure was something facing off that Cockatrice." Spike said.
"Something was definitely odd about that thing, I sensed demonic energy from it though my instincts are telling me that the Cockatrice wasn't born like that." Aka informed.
"You mean it was turned by something else?" Spike asked shock.
"I think so, meaning creatures are being turned into demons by this demonic force, but for what we'll have to find out." Aka said as he knows there's a mystery and danger ahead.

Aka went out on a little chicken hunt and fought against a Cockatrice that was infected by some demonic energy as the young demon hunter will need to figure out how and if someone is doing this on purpose. Hope you like having Spike fighting the demonic chicken-snake with Aka and the combo move they was pretty cool.
