Monster life: Driveknight, Momo, Torax, Asterius, Volten, Mediocre group
Torax had successfully infiltrated the monster association headquarters, dipping into the tunnels, and after some minutes of being completely lost, even despite the pungent monster smell, he was welcomed by a greeting party of a small collection of monsters, which began to take him down the correct way towards the monster association base. He was surprised that he couldn't find the place on his own, especially with his great sense of smell. Was something messing with his senses? He remembered that the supposed advisor was an esper of some kind. Did he have such an ability? It would make sense in that regard if the humans figured out how to locate monsters by their scent or aura similar to that of other monsters; they could find their base without much trouble, but if he could cloud it, even if they found the general area, the heroes would still be lost in the tunnels, leading them to be easily open to ambushes or attacks.
This advisor, Gyoro-Gyroro, would be someone he needed to choose his words wisely with, and as a result, he would likely be killed. The monsters slowly brought him down to the locations. He passed several doors and hallways before approaching where he believed this advisor was located behind two large double doors. Some other monsters exited, and he was gestured inside to be next. The creature was similar to what Saren described as a large green being with multiple eyes and smaller appendages sticking out over its body, but it wasn't very intimidating, at least from his perspective.
Once introductions were out of the way, the monster explained to him the goals of the monster association which was the destruction of the heroes and the absolute annihilation of humanity soon after torax already knew all of this but it was his lack of enthusiasm from the news that sparked the advisor questioning gaze, Torax remarked simply that he wasn't much one for useless fighting unless necessary but that didn't seem to please the monster either as it implied that their goals were useless but he was quick to dismiss that as his intention, soon after another monster arrived and this one he had actually met before it was the bird monster from the invasion phoenix-man the advisor had called him and the two locked gazes, he grew a little tense when the monster arrived but it actually proved to be a blessing in disguise and his choice to simply hand the child over was also playing to his benefit as the bird monster told the advisor that he was the one that gave them the child in the first place and it was the reason he was summoned as his report mentioned him.
The next order of business was the rational next question for him on why he defected against the association now when he could have left any time he wanted, and for that, the answer was relatively simple: he had nowhere to go before, but now he did. The reason he didn't leave immediately when the invitation was offered before was that he wanted to see if the cub and the boy would have come with him, but the two had refused, so here he was by himself. The advisor and the bird monster pondered that information before accepting it as a good enough reason. They did ask for further confirmation that the forest lord could control monsters, and Torax confirmed that he couldn't let monsters follow him solely because he was nice to them. This leads to the obvious question of whether he could kill the forest lord if the situation called for it, and Torax answered without hesitation. The quickness and confidence in his answer seemed to calm them about his allegiance to the monsters.
The next topic of discussion was revolving around his strength as a monster torax remarked that he was simply a demon-level monster but that didn't absolve him of the test he needed to take and gyoro-gyoro was the one that assigned a disaster rating and he would find out if what he said was true and in the next moment torax felt fear of the being for the first time upon meeting him it didn't even bother with lifting a finger against him only with its mind alone it had seemingly trapped him in a green cage of energy and it wanted him to struggle and free himself and for every cm, he was able to move the green cage continued to tighten and squeeze him before at some point he simply couldn't move anymore and after trying for one last burst he simply gave up and the invisible barrier completely left him and allowed him to space to breath, gyoro-gyoror confirmed that he does have the strength of a demon-level monsters and with that the introductions were done and he told him that he was allowed to leave, all things considered the impression that he gave off was that he was somewhat lazy and gyoro-gyoro ensured that he would fight when he'd deemed it worthy and that he would follow orders to the letter which Torax nodded to.
After his initial meeting with the advisor, Torax was allowed to travel all along the Monster Association base. the monsters didn't have some delicate housing system like humans, it was first come, first serve on any empty room you could find and claim and sometimes hold, however, Torax wasn't interested in finding a particular place but particular people, he first sought out Asterius and knowing the large minotaur he could guess where he would be spending his time and that was if the monster location held any type of training area for the monster to work out on and luckily they did he asked some of the weaker monsters to point him in the right direction and from there he was able to follow the scent and find the monster battling against a rhino monster also from that invasion the two battle against each other inside of a makeshift pit with multiple monsters around it chanting for either sides victory.
Torax rolled his eyes but he waited for the match to conclude before making his presence truly known to his friend, he wasn't using his sword so he was partially handicapping himself and likely because of that he was on the loosing end of the fight although he was surprised when the earth beneath the rhino monster completely shifted and took him off balance and Asterius hand lit aglow with flame and struck the rhino in the chest hard sending it skidding backwards, he guessed that he had eaten naga after all and gained her weather manipulation abilities, given the area he couldn't use the electric powers or so he thought as a small cloud appeared above the rhino and a small lighting strike came down but the rhino horn seemed to have absorbed it and he was relatively fine as the bolt discharged safely into the floor, the two continued to trade blows for some time before the fight was finally settled, Asterius had won but it was a near thing both fighters shared a handshake before climbing out of the pit as monsters grumbled or yipped depending on who they were rooting for.
The mob quickly dispersed, and that was when Torax made his move. Asterius was a bit surprised to see him down there, but he welcomed him nonetheless. With all the monsters around, they couldn't discuss what they needed to do, so he asked for them to go to a more private area, and that was after having located the others, which wasn't that hard of a task to do. Volten was down in the lower parts of the association working with one of the cadres named Energizer, most of the eclectic-type monsters are brought down there to power the base and deliver power to the rest of the base which was a surprise given the very non-technological nature of the base at least from what he's seen so far but he would be correct in the fact, for the most part, the monsters base didn't have many electronics at all but they needed it for something located in one of the rooms, there are monster engineers after all.
The two of them waited for a moment and picked up volten when the man's shift was done he had swapped out with two tiger-level monsters electric Plasma and her husband Electric Catfish Man after picking him up The three of them went to find the others, and it was easy enough to find the three brothers; they would mostly seclude themselves into a certain part of the base. The third brother would have other monsters get things for him, such as food or anything else he might need. Torax was surprised that one of the brothers could garner such respect, but it wasn't respect that motivated the monsters.
The three brothers, while drastically stronger than before, weren't that impressive. Volten considered them likely to be on the lower end of the tiger-level threat, which meant they held very little respect towards them in most regards, but the tallest brother's ability awakened something rather frightening. If he strengthen the ability, it would be fighting, but he actually can control monsters weaker than himself and not only monsters but humans as well, so despite his low power, he is given rather a high status by the monster association and often given first pick on a dead monster to eat if some happen to come by, which happens quite frequently, surprisingly enough.
The ghost town up top seemed to be a breeding ground for dead monster carcasses that tried to reach the location he assumed. Torax speculated that the perpetrator behind that was likely a hero named Saitama who lived in the area. This led down to the discussion on food in general, and Asterius explained that, for the most part, they scavenge what they can from the surface if possible, whether that be food, animals, or even humans. They have often described it as a delicacy to the monsters, something akin to dessert for humans, but mostly the large force of monsters survive by eating the original inhabitants of the base. The group of three made their way over and let themselves into the three brothers' space. The third brother, Chemonille, used his powers to send all the other monsters away before they could discuss what Torax was assigned to do.
Tora explained his situation to the group of them, he was essentially wired with a laser imaging system that would map out the base and he just needed to walk around enough before returning, given that tours weren't something that the monster offered it was going to be a bit hard to justify his presence however his secondary objective was also even more important in the fact which meant that he needed to find the child the monsters captured and that was an easier mission to carry out as the child's guard duties were swapped between the monsters, especially among the more docile ones which could control their killing nature and combined with his strength he would likely make a prime target for such a thing.
So Torax had to wait and bide his time in the place, walking around aimlessly and trying to avoid picking any fights that could mess up the technology he had inside himself. For the most part, that wasn't much of a problem. The monsters were simply waiting and gaining new members as the day went by, but given that they couldn't make any moves, some became twitchy and irritable, so it was easy to get caught in a fight with others over the simplest of matters. On the third day, as presumed, he was put on guard duty for the child, and he understood why such a thing was boring for him, especially when the child recognized who he was and went off on a tirade, but Torax simply blocked out his ears and slept through it, not bothering to reply to the small boy.
After achieving his secondary objective he was nearly able to finish the first one during his aimless travels he couldn't just pop into rooms but he analyzed most of the hallways and doors that the place held, there was a close encounter when he passed by a machine monster this one in the shape of a samurai of some kind it didn't look like a monster at all but human-made creation and to make matters even worst the robot stopped him and remarked that it was picking up "weird" readings from him which he tried to ignore at first but the robot insisted nearly trapping him down a corridor but just as it got closed it seemed to pause for an uneasy amount of time turn on his heels and sprint off at a staggering pace? He was confused, to say the least, but he would take his blessing where he could keep it; he just needed to find a suitable time for him to escape now with the others, and he would be home free.
V-city planes
Momo and Drive Knight had been constantly experimenting with her new ability and pushing it to the limit. He believed that where he originally believed her quirk was powerful before her enhanced version, it was frankly world-shattering given the implications it could have, and it was for this reason that he was also greatly more hesitant around her with his technology, and while he couldn't make her forget about everything, even if he wished he could, he had forbidden her from summoning his technology again.
Momo and Drive Knight found out a lot about Momo's new conjuring ability. the limit of the things she could conjure was similar in effect to how much she could create the limiting factor had more to do with her mind than her body in this respect her mind would take on strain for every object she created and the more objects she creates the heavier the strain induced upon herself and the easier it was for her to lose concentration and dissipate everything that she had conjured, her limit was just about the same as her creation limit which was nearing 100 tons of material at this point but the two were still somewhat linked the more fatigued she physically was the less she could conjure with her mind and the more her mind was strained by conjure the less she could create with creation along with the complexity she would be able to make either, the only other weakness that she has well had was the side effect from her artificial awakening which made her forget anything that she conjured for an entire hour.
eventually, this led to her current predicament, she had taken sero's suggestion somewhat to heart, she was technically able to create robots with her ability and that meant that she could technically make an entire robot army at her disposal which would allow her to not only do more but take less risk while in conflict so to that end her and Drive Knight got to work reprogramming and reconfiguring out ideas of the robots that the school uses, Drive Knight never commented where the robots she had crafted came from but he did regard most of them as fairly weak and not much of help against most monster threats above a wolf and that was what momo wanted help with increasing their combat ability as best he could offer her or at least the most that he would allow her, Drive Knight was surprised that she was taking the initiative and that this was brought on by the monster association strike. which he was mostly correct about; she didn't know when the climatic battle between the two organizations would commence, so she didn't know if she would be there for them or not, but if she couldn't, she could at least provide them some help in the form of robots if she wasn't going to be there.
So for most of the week following the invasion, that was all she and Drive Knight had been working on, along with her gun training. while he could make the robots stronger being able to take on at least some smaller tiger-level threats, demons and higher was somewhat of a struggle and it was then the momo had memorized a robotic enemy that she had found in the VGS machine that bakugo and Todoroki faced but when she had first went to conjure Drive Knight nearly yelled for her to stop it was such a startle given that the machine had rarely if ever raised his voice above a normal tone showing how serious he was, he wanted to no more about this robot called G4 and what it's objective was and after discussing with bakugo and Todoroki they pointed her along to king who explained that the robot wanted combat data of some kind from him with that investigation out of the way.
Drive Knight had taken her far away from where they usually worked and operated towards V-city near the plains, there was nothing but grass for miles along with the odd rocky outcroppings dotting the landscape it was here that Drive Knight had set up a different sub-base and it was here they would experiment with summoning the robot, Drive Knight speculated that the robot likely had some form of tracking device or GPS on top of having her conjure it would restate the machine to its original programming which would make it their enemy so it would likely attack them but that wasn't his true intentions with dragging them out here, she could easily conjure the machine with no power which would make any tracking hardware rather moot but what he wanted was information he tried to figure out why this person wanted king's combat data and what they planned to do with it.
So after Momo had conjured the machine and laid it out, Drive Knight gave her a tech blanket. This would hide her from mostly all tech scanners, such as thermal, inferred, heartbeat detection, sight, sound, smell, and many other visual detection services. The only thing it couldn't hide was a vibration of movement, so he expressed heavily that she did not move once she was in a position once he turned the machine on, and she nodded before moving 100 yards away and viewing the sight through a scope. Drive Knight wanted to lure the person out, or at least some other machine than the G4 robot, so he also included numerous signal jamming devices around the robot, which would hopefully dampen it enough so that the creator couldn't directly talk through the machine.
Drive Knight turned the machine on and then immediately damaged it slicing a strong line across the large robots chess which crippled it and stopped it from retaliating against him but leaving it alive enough to send a signal to whoever was commanding it and they waited...it took some time but 40 minutes later she could hear movement coming from behind her she despite the blanket was still rather nervous as the crunching of gravel continued to get closer and closer until she saw it a mechanical foot stomped by in front of her and proceed to do so she didn't release the breath she was holding until it was 50 yards away from her, it was another machine of some kind this one was smaller than it's companion it didn't seem like it was preparing to battle as it didn't draw either of its swords that it held on its waist before they could whoever designed it must have been a fan of samurai of some kind becuase it's aperance and estict was in the mermory of one wether that be becuase of just this one being a different model or maybe an uprgade taken from designs of the previous one? Todoroki remarked that Genos was able to defeat the monster by launching an attack in between the armor and that its large body was its downfall, so maybe the creator changed the design.
She watched as the robot came closer and closer; she could hear what was happening thanks to a cyber link through Drive Knight to a com in her ear. The two seemed to want to talk things out first before coming to blows; they may not inherently be enemies.
"I'm surprised; I would have believed that it would have been Genos given that he was the one reported for defeating G4." The robot claimed to be staying a semi-respectable distance away from Drive Knight.
"Indeed, he was." Drive Knight replied simply.
"You were able to scavenge the remains and rebuild them?" the robot voice remarked in question.
"Indeed," Drive Night again replied simply. He was keeping his responses short and precise, not trying to give his enemy any unnecessary information.
"But this was going far beyond just rebuilding; this is a replica, wouldn't you agree? Given the destruction reports I received, doing something like this would be nearly impossible...unless you know about how it was manufactured." the robot accused, and to that drive, Knight remained silent.
"However, there is another solution; however, with the creation goddess, this may be in her power; she can create anything, and with your technical expertise, you could recreate the machine." The robot spoke out again.
"You seemed to piece it together just fine; now the questions I have for you are: What are your goals? For what purpose did you want King's combat data?" Drive Knight asked, and there was a brief pause between the two of them.
"Of course, so that I may better myself and see what we will be competing against." The robot spoke out again.
"Competing against?" Drive Knight remarked questioningly.
"Is neith here? I wouldn't like to repeat myself, as this goes for her as well." The robot commented.
"She can hear you, yes." Drive Knight replied. The robot took a glance around its environment, likely using its scanners to attempt to find her if she was close by. As it turned around, she again held her breath as it looked in her general direction, but Drive Knight tech blanket held firm for now as it seemed to give up and return to look at the cyborg.
"I see. I would like to offer to have her come to work for me. We are, as I said, competitors of the hero organization. If you will, we are still building up, but we hope to reveal ourselves soon. After such, we also extend an invitation to the S-class; no doubt you must be tired of the hero association yourself, Drive Knight." The robot voice commented, and Drive Knight's eye flickered back and forth to one side, then the other.
"I don't care who I'm designated under, and the association allows me to free-rain as I see fit, there would be no benefit to me switching sides unless you could offer something to pique my interest." Drive Knight commented.
"I see, and as for the girl?" the robot asked.
"You claim to be a competitor of sorts to the hero association; what does that detail exactly mean? Are you helping with the ongoing conflict with the monster association, or are you seeing this as your chance to make a move while the hero association is distracted and their reputation is lowered?" Momo was slightly surprised by the questions Drive Knight asked; they were very similar questions she would have for the machine herself if she were in his shoes.
"As a rival hero agency, you are correct in the fact that we are not assisting the hero association, and given that our actions could be seen as the latter of your questions, we do not see it that way." The robot said something but remained ambiguous.
"Does not helping extend to actively supporting the enemy? Your suit's biochemical signs are bathed in the scent of monsters, and without signs of any damage, the logical conclusion was that you weren't attacked either." Drive Knight remarked.
"I see. I had hoped to avoid a fight, but since it has come to this," the robot said, but before it could do anything more, Drive Knight lashed out in his silver configuration, slicing the creature's head off and making it slump to the ground.
"Everything we discussed here should be kept private, Drive Knight; if not, then the ploy of the association involving that tiger I will reveal to the monster association. I have two other units stationed there other than this G5 unit; please keep that in mind." The headless robot continued to speak. Drive Night hesitated for a moment, looking up directly at Momo.
"Ah, so she was here; my offer still stands," G5 remarked before suddenly the robot imploded on itself, crumbling down before having a micro explosion that destroyed the rest of the body along with its head, and a similar thing transpired with the G4 robot, having the close be clear. Drive Knight and Momo walked over to discuss what the robot was talking about and their next steps, which were easy now that she had two demon-level machines to rebuild and create.
The good and the bad: Bang, Bomb, Silver chain, Monster Group, Class 1A+
Week 3
The morning following Tokoyami's confession was predictably chaotic for the new couple. Mina and her motley crew of instigators immediately set out to put the duo on blast, especially for what they did to them the other day with the mucus. Both of them didn't shy away from the questioning, although most of their questions were answered by Tsu, and vice versa, as Tokoyami was still mostly silent and to himself, he would comment if Tsu wanted him to; there was not a lot to tell them in the first place. The spotlight was taken off of them; however, when Midoirya joined them downstairs, the new couple was pushed to the side by the first new couple of the event as Midoriya practically zoomed down the stairs and picked Uraraka up and began to plant kisses all along her face and cheek, which was sporadic, to say the least. If it were Sero and Jackie, that would have been practically normal, but for Midoriya and Uraraka, whose affections were more tame and secluded in comparison, not now. Iida immediately went over to nag him about not only the sporadic nature of his motions but how much PDA he was showing to the rest of the class.
Although Uraraka was not complaining through her blushing cheeks and floating off towards the ceiling as he turned his attention to Iida and wrapped him up in a large hug, the green boy was excited. His words came out at a fevered-pitched pace, and in his excitement, he almost hugged Iida a bit too roughly when his one for all sparked. Iida was able to pry himself free for a moment and calm him down enough so Midoirya could take a moment to compose himself. Given how excited he was, everyone began to gather around what he had to say and came into the living room, dragging a still-floating uraraka along like a balloon with his black whip.
"Guys, it's all might. He's been rescued!" Midoriya remarked with such great enthusiasm, his hands moving up and down, and the class, upon hearing the news, echoed the sentiment as cheers and applause erupted from everyone.
"Who did it?" bakguo asked
"Was it endeavor, and the other heroes?" Todoroki asked next, and the class all quieted down immediately, all of them curious as well about who saved their teacher and mentor.
"It was the most unlikely group of people; believe it or not, there was someone called the sky crawler, gentle criminal, and... a stain." Midoirya said, and everyone stayed quiet for several moments.
"Aren't, ugh, aren't two of those three people criminals?" Mina remarked a bit skeptically.
"Who the hell is Skycrawler?" bakugo asked
"Well yeah, but at least he's safe, and that's all that matters, right? Whoever did it shouldn't make much difference, and at least for Sky Crawler and Stain, they both like it a lot, so I believe they wanted to see him safe. Gentle always wanted to be a hero, but things happened that made him do what he did," Midoirya commented.
"Are you sure we could trust them? It may be a trap by all means."Jiro commented, and a wave of murmurs of agreement began to spread among the class.
"I think they weren't in cahoots with all-for-one." Midoriya commented.
"How do you know for sure?" Iida asked, and Midoirya looked at him for a moment and paused before answering.
"Because they were hurt pretty badly. Stain died from the rescue attempt." Midoirya commented, and everyone was silent. Everyone had a mix of emotions on their faces, especially Iida. One good deed doesn't make up for all the bad that he committed, but that one good deed was an impactful one. Without all might, all for one couldn't rewind anymore. They didn't know how many years he had managed to get or if he was already in his prime at the moment, but regardless of that fact, knowing all might was back with the heroes was still comforting to know.
"You seem like you still have something you want to say, Midoriya," Uraraka said, noticing how Midoirya shifted his eyes downward, balled, and twirled his hands together for a moment, indicating he was nervous.
"Well, there is more to his death than just dying during the operations; he died after the mission was already successful. As I said, the rescue party was all pretty banged up from the attempt, but all might has Eri's quirk, so he used his power to heal both gentlemen and sky crawlers before himself, but at that point, he barely had any stocked-up power left to heal him at least completely, and his injuries were too severe to be saved by medical attention. So without any other options and wanting to honor his sacrifice, all might...gave him what he wanted most of all." Midoriya said rather solemnly, and those who knew held some slight gaps of shock.
"Midoriya, all might did he..." Todoroki commented before trailing off as Midoriya nodded in confirmation.
"Yes, he fulfilled stains wish; he killed him," Midoriya commented, and the gasp of shocks began to spread through the rest of the class as realization took place. It was just mercy killing and sort of thanks for saving him from all for one, but he could feel even through his ghostly vestige that all might be torn with the gesture.
"For what it's worth, his parting words were that he was thankful not only to all might but also to the league; they helped him accomplish his goal of eliminating the "false" heroes greater than he ever did and that all of the heroes still fighting right now were the "true" heroes." Midoriya commented; he left out the part where he mentioned the hunter mentioned him, remarking that he had hoped to meet him one more time before dying and hoping that he hadn't lost his way in all of this, but all might assure him that he hadn't. Just remembering it brought tears to his eyes, but none fell.
"Well, he got that right at least; we aren't like those other extras that throw in the towel when the going gets tough; we rise to the occasion because that's what real heroes do." Bakugo responded, cutting through the silence with a surprisingly complimentary comment to the class, which everyone echoed on their way out loud, raising everyone's spirits again.
Midoirya then went on to explain some other things he was told by his vestiges about what was happening in their world. He explained that due to their connection, everything everyone might experience he also knows and can be informed about by the other one for all holders. So they were currently in suspended animation in their world, surrounded by some dark energy, like when they first arrived here, the only person capable of interacting with them was Kurogiri, or in this case, a past friend of Aizawa's in the league member body?
All Might didn't get the rundown yet so he didn't know for sure what was going on but that's what he gathered for now, the last thing surprising was that Chisaki was also rescued along with all Might from all for one, they didn't know what all for one attended to do with the man but they will ask him when they get the chance to figure everything out, he told them about everything else in the meanwhile such as Eri was safe and while she didn't have her rewind power anymore she somehow got a hold of stars and stripes power instead the American number one hero herself was doing ok but she was depowered completely and that was all he knew for now but he was sure to let them know if anything else popped up.
In total, the news was positive to the class as the heroes back home were still doing their best to resist All for One, and with all might back and Chisaki's capture, whatever All for One was planning was likely foiled, but that didn't mean much of anything for that man as he likely had many different plans up his sleeve, not counting on the fact he still had Shigaraki, but everyone wanted to stick to the positives.
no one had much to do today but laze around, it was the last day of their break before they got back to hero duty for the time being but a certain group of them namely Midoriya, bakugo, and Shoji had plans elsewhere or someone, namely garou, bakugo was curious about why Midoriya had been traveling all around Z-city for some time after the invasion, he explained that he was looking for bang and bomb using his danger sense to try and find them in the city but thinking on it was a fairly dumb thing to do with how dangerous garou was to the public so bang had opted to take him somewhere else, he had been there before with bang for training so he could understand why bang chose that location for his former student it was mountainous regions mostly out of the way of the most of the populous, but the thing that bothers him was what they were doing to the guy.
Midorya explained that what truly allowed him to find out where they were hiding was the huge amount of anger radiating off of bang and bomb, and once he finally arrived and saw that they were essentially beating up Garou ruthlessly, he just had to stop them. While some say it may not have been his place to intervene, he argued that what they were doing wouldn't help change Garou at all; in fact, it would just make things worse, so Midroya offered if he could just have some time alone to talk to him and maybe someone closer to his age could understand him better. Bang was unconvinced that it would have any effect, but with some help from his brother Bomb, he reluctantly agreed to at least try it out, and that was what he was most up to when he was away.
the reason he wanted to bring Shoji and bakugo along with him this time around was due to what they discussed so far mostly just his background before Bang and his hobbies, he and Midoriya had shared some things in common mostly in the fact that he was bullied when he was younger although he didn't tell him why but midoirya speculated that it was mostly his infatuation with monsters which isolated him and made him an easy target for others to pick on which somehow lead him into what he was doing and he perhaps wanted to see if bakugo wanted to say a couple of words to him from the perspective of the bully in that case, Shoji was tagging along due to what garou had told him the first time they met about having some of the more monstrous looking members of the group to talk to him he could perhaps tell him about some of his experience although given it wouldn't make sense with their established story Midoirya elected to tell him, along with Bang and Bomb, the partial truth they created about how they were aliens sent to the planet for some penance, but it was a gamble to see if it would really work or not. Both Shoji and Bakugo were curious about where their friend was going with this line of thinking, but they still followed along with his plan anyway, not knowing if it would truly make a difference between the hunters.
The three of them arrived, and Midoirya talked to both Bang and Bomb to discuss why the other two were along with him and to check up on if Garou was still doing okay, which he was in a manner speaking; he was still alive, but he was still pretty banged up, and it almost seemed like some of the bumps and bruises were completely new, but Midoirya didn't comment on it. It was one of the only ways they could contain the man here other than chaining him up; he just hoped that they were still feeding him at least; he didn't want to believe that Bang was that barbaric, even given his former pupil's actions.
As the three of them went into the small wooden hut down into the cellar, where they found Garou, his body was completely chained up to the wall, with only his head being the only thing that could be seen of his actual body. His gaze was hardened when he first heard the noise of someone coming down the steps. Even Midoirya was surprised by the development of both of his eyes, which had changed color into an almost completely bloodshot red color, but his eyes did soften at least somewhat when he saw Midoriya.
"So you're here again, you even brought your little friends this time too, eh? Is this supposed to be some type of intervention or something? The old man can't just beat whatever the crackpot thinks is affecting me, so he sent you instead to talk. Garou remarked that his teeth were bloody, and his voice, while containing his usual cockiness, held an underlying curiosity that the question was genuine.
"No, I just wanted to make sure you were doing okay," Midoirya responded after shaking his head.
"Well, as you can see, I'm just peachy." Garou replied sarcastically, struggling to break his chains. But Midoriya can tell from his danger sense that there wasn't as much bite in his response as when he first talked to the man.
"Well, I brought Kacchan with me. He was someone who bullied me when we were younger, but we're friends now." Midoriya was introduced first, and Garou's eyes immediately shifted to Bakugo, and the two of them glared at each other before Garou let out a strained laugh directed at him, making Bakugo's hands twitch in agitation.
"It must stink knowing that the person you bullied is now drastically stronger than you. So did you become friends after you kicked his ass?" Garou remarked whimsically, looking back towards Midoriya, who, after his surprise wore off, and stuttering somewhat, spoke.
"Ugh, no, no, we competed against each other a couple of times, but in terms of actual fighting, I guess I never actually won against him." Midoirya commented, rubbing the back of his head.
"What the hell? with all that power you got and you didn't kick his ass? That was the first thing I did when I was strong enough. I taught Tachan and all his mooks a thing or two." Garou commented, earning Midoriya's interest as it was the first time he'd gotten detailed information about Garou's past.
"Tachan, you say?" Midoriya pointed it out, and Garou sucked his teeth before letting out a sigh.
"The dipshit popular kid in my school picked on me. I got strong and made sure he never did that shit again, to me or anyone else," Garou commented gruffly, taking a side glance toward Bakugo as he spoke.
"Why did he pick on you?" was Midoriya's immediate follow-up question.
"Why did you bully him?" Garou replied simply, turning the question back on Bakugo. Midoriya turned to Bakugo, and Bakugo gave him a side eye before clenching his fist and releasing, taking a deep breath, then explaining.
"I guess you could say I was intimidated by him. He was a quirkless loser just following me along, but he was a hero in his heart. For all the praise I got about my power, strength, intuition, skills, looks, and all that crap, people only looked at me for my ability, not my character, but for him. It was the opposite; he only had character but no ability, so it made me angry. Someone that I found below was infinitely better than me at something, and I didn't know how to change it, so I lashed out at him." Bakugo finished doing his best not to look at Midoriya while he spoke, and several moments later he was done speaking. Midoirya was stunned by the sincerity of his response, and while he couldn't see Shoji's face, he was likely equally stunned, going by his raised eyebrows, but Garou was slightly confused.
"What the hell does "quirkless." mean?" Garou asked confusedly, and it was at that moment that they sidelined the conversation to tell Garou more about themselves and their group as a whole, telling him that they were technically aliens and that in their civilizations, 80% of the populations had abilities similar to their own and how the quirkless people were people without powers, which then led into an explanation on how Midoirya got his powers. After all of that was explained to the man, who at first seemed to take what they were saying with heavy skepticism but eventually mellowed out to believe they were telling the truth, he laughed again, again directly at Bakugo.
"Oh, that must bite! Not only did he get the power to surpass you completely, but it was from the very same person you both idolized. Haha, I still think you should kick his ass; he picked on the equivalent of a disabled person with a handicap; that's even worse than tacchan in my eyes." Garou said, and Bakugo growled in agitation, biting back whatever he was going to say and allowing Midoirya to switch the focus back on the hunter.
"So this tacchan? Why did he bully you?" Midoriya asked.
"Tch, what do you think? Because I liked monsters. I was a loner, and he was the popular kid who forced me to play his stupid game, Monster, and Hero, where I always played the monster. I never cared about that, but what got on my nerves was that I wasn't allowed to win; the sheep that followed him would hold me down and let him beat me. It wasn't just bullying; I realized it was a representation of the child that the public accepts. I should have been free to play any role, even as a monster; however, the heroes need the approval of their surroundings, so I could never be one. And of course, a scenario where the monster wins, in the end, doesn't exist, so I was destined to lose. To begin with, it all felt unfair. It still feels unfair, and it pisses me off. What is justice? What is evil? It's just the majority deciding something is bad and therefore should be killed off, like me. I won't forgive them; it's unfair." Garou rambled as the group listened intently to what the man had to say.
"And you feel that the monsters of this world are the ones being treated unfairly?" Shoji questioned
"Yeah, that's about it. You are?" garou commented.
"Oh right, this is Shoji; he has a heteromorphic or mutant quirk; I thought, given his experience and your request from before, it would be good if you talked to him." Midoirya commented, introducing the larger teen behind them. Garou wrinkled his nose, trying to remember when he ever made such a request before realizing that recollection dawned on him.
"Oh yeah, I did say something like that, didn't I? Well, your thoughts, kid." Bakugo growled again. He didn't take too kindly to being called "kid" by someone who wasn't even three years older than them, but Shoji didn't seem to care and took off his mask, which got everyone's attention in the room.
"I'm guessing those scars aren't a "natural" part of your mutation." Garou spoke when he saw it, and Shoji nodded his head.
"You would be correct. Even in our world, people have a hard time accepting people that look different from standard humans, just like in this place." Shoji commented.
"Good to know assholes exist elsewhere in the universe as well." Garou commented with a slight grin, but it turned into a frown when the boy continued to speak.
"If this were our world, I could agree with your point of view wholeheartedly. Not the way you went about changing it, but the message you're trying to convey, I can understand, but here? Monsters, aren't they a little too far off, or better yet, far gone? Do you envision a world where monsters and humans can coexist?" Shoji questioned.
"Yet you guys still captured them? what the monster association got you all having second thoughts? their the result of all the unfairness and they simply wanted to pay it back in kind...I don't blame them but obviously, I can't entirely agree with what they're planning or what they did but I won't get in their way as long as they don't get in mine. " Garou replied simply.
"But don't you care about the number of people they killed?" Shoji asked
"Do you know how many monsters the heroes killed? They see it as an eye for an eye. The sad part is that monsters usually come from humans, but heroes seem to not give a rat ass about that at all; they kill them indiscriminately. Those that don't come from humans come from the animals or environment; from human interventions of some kind or another, they transform as a response to fight back." Garou replied in silent anger.
"Don't tell me you're an environmentalist," Bakugo quipped with a small chuckle.
"What? no! I just understand how the world works; you can't be mad at things that evolve to defend themselves or strike back against their aggressors." Garou replied instantly.
"Well, what role do you play in all of this? If you are neither on the side of the monster association nor the heroes, then what is your end goal?" Shoji asked.
"To win is to flip the script on the world, where the monster wins. to deny the standpoint of good and evil." Garou announced proudly.
"That's all? Did you run around hurting people just in pursuit of trying to prove a point that you could? Don't you think that's a bit pathetic? How would that help you at all? People would just correctly label you a madman and carry on with life." Shoji questioned.
"Then they wouldn't see the world the way that I do." Garou commented simply, staring down at the floor. Midoriya assumed that they likely wouldn't get much more from the man and were going to start to leave, although Bakugo did stay behind as he had a few more closing words for the teen that he wanted to tell him alone, and Shoji and Midoriya honored his request, leaving the two of them down in the basement.
"I'm curious; what do you plan on doing after you reach your goal? You said you wanted to flip the story, and then what? What's next after you become Garou, the strongest monster?" Bakugo questioned, but Garou didn't respond, whether in thought or if he was just ignoring him. Bakugo did not know or care, but he continued anyway.
"I have a similar goal; I wanted to be the number one hero, the strongest hero at least in our world, but when I was allowed to do so, I refused... twice now... I hate handouts. I flipped him off instead; I'll get there eventually with my strength. I tell you this so you don't take that hand out. You are strong, no doubt, but there are stronger heroes on this planet than even your old man and likely that little green girl as well. You won't be able to become the ultimate monsters that flipped the script until you're able to beat him, Saitama." Bakguo said before he left back upstairs, he hurred the teen mumble something under his breath as he did so but couldn't quite make it out, but it was only a repeat of the hero's name he said, "saitama?" Bakugo was making his way up the stairwell when Shoji created a mouth on his left shoulder and told him to hurry up and get up the stairs, making him double-time it up while he explained what was going on. They had company coming, and a lot of them.
A-City Class 1A Home.
there was a partial look of surprise on the class face when they opened the door and were met by farukuro, sero who opened the door and immediately went to go get koda so he could explain to them what was happening, after the boy arrived, koda paused all of his curious question about what happened to Torax or Chemonille and the rest of them and instead let the bird speak it was coming out in a somewhat worried tone, the bird explained to him that the monster association discovered where garou was located and managed a force of 50 monsters to capture him but the serious part was that this force also included three other monsters namely all of which were dragon level threats with one of them being a cadre, koda immediately relayed the information to everyone else in the class which quickly made everyone gather around and discuss what they should do it was a rather short discussion, despite the danger that would be present there they all still wanted to go and help out Midoriya and the others, the only hurdle or hold up was Jackie and sigisimand who were also there and had inadvertently came over and having overheard the comtion both of them were insientent in tagging along.
Bomb was her master too, so she wanted to be able to be there for him like he was for her, and she was fairly adamant, holding onto Sero and not letting go until they allowed her to go, which they ultimately complied with. Sigismund, Tokoyami, and Tsu went off to discuss why the boy couldn't go due to the danger and what his parents would think if they brought him along to such a dangerous situation. He argued that he wanted to be there for them and, more importantly, that the day was Saturday! which meant it was his strongest monster of the week, but Tokoyami countered that the monster would help him.
Dragon lord was powerful nearly as powerful as shinning light or dark shadow at least in their normal states which meant having him help them was nothing but a net boon for their cause but it was similar in essence to Shadowman it would help and defend Sigismund if the situation really called for it but it wasn't very proactive and dropping Sigismund in the middle of an angry hoard of monster to get him to act was not something he was willing to do, it would be too risky and ultimately not worth it and with the other stronger monster around he didn't want to take the chance but the teen really wanted to help them he would feel awful if they went out there and they didn't come back and he was going to be a hero someday as well so he needed the experience of fighting monsters, he begged the two of them and given the time frame they ddin't want to argue the point to much so they allowed the boy to come along but he wouldn't be on the front lines, he would guard garou while the battle commenced, he would be the last line of defenese and hopfelly safe Tokoyami adde thought that before they quietly gathered around, Sero, not wanting to take chances, actually called upon Saren to join them as well, which, while no one said anything, made the class a lot more confident in going along.
they used Midoirya's phone to locate where they were and after Uraraka lightened everyone with her quirk and Toru used her light manipulation to create an orb for them to travel in and off they went towards the scene of the battle, Tokoyami flew with incredible speed with shinning light to get there it took only 14 minutes to cross the 10,000 km distance but they were finally their in the mountainous region and the signs of battle were already evident, multiple of the mountains were already crashing down among them a nearby waterfall was currently gushing outwards towards the trees disturbed by the crushed rock and shattered mountains in its path, and there was one massive explosion near the center of the fight that leads to the center and it was there they could find Midoirya and Todoroki noted that the monster he was fighting was none other than energizer from before.
Midoirya was clouding himself in his black whip to protect himself from the monster's deadly shocks and there were multiple clashes in the trees that exploded in dust and rock that hinted at other fights happening over there which meant that Bang and Bomb were fighting the other two dragons in that directions, as the group lowered down they could sea trail of monsters that were heading past the large fighting towards one of the remaining standing places with a hut on top of it and to confirm multiple orange explosion shot over the monster file which clued them in that was where bakugo was and likely Shoji as well.
The group set down near the hut, and there they met Shoji, who, while surprised, was happy that the others were there to help them. They explained to him what they were after, which wasn't a bang or bomb but garou. Shoji told them that Garou was located in the basement of the hut, so with that out of the way, they started to formulate what they would do. Saren simply remarked that he would go over and help out with the dragon-level threats and lept off the cliffside down towards the larger conflicts. Well, Sero was slightly disappointed about the man just taking off like that, but he guessed it was the best he could hope for.
He didn't know if they were struggling or not, but they could use the help he thought before getting back into the game as another one of the bakugo large explosions marked the distance, which suggested to them that they should get a move on before he gets too tired, or worse, win himself and think less of them. again Kaminari quipped, so most of the group jumped down towards the fighting and the explosive teen, while others, namely Sigismund, stuck behind to watch over Garou. While the boy wanted to argue, Tokoyami stressed how important the job was and that if he sensed any monster nearby, he should immediately switch with his monster. So Sigismund left the steps directly with Garou, and the rest of the class went down to help Bakugo fend off the monster. The only other question running through their heads was: What were the rules of engagement for this scenario? Ultimately, to save people effort and time, Shoji suggested that if they can capture them fine, they shouldn't go out of their way to do so. They were without a backup for this, so capturing was extremely dangerous, they should just put those thoughts to the back of their minds until after the battle was over.
Everyone nodded in understanding and joined the front line alongside Bakugo, who didn't seem surprised that they were there, only asking what took them so long since they were there. It allowed him to stop just holding the monsters off and go on the attack alongside him. more of the stronger members joined alongside him notably, Tokoyami and Todoroki, Todoroki unleashed a wave of ice that quickly circulated through the forest of monsters in front of them trapping their legs in place and bakugo answered in kind using his explosion to pepper the trapped monsters as he flew by the ice was surprisingly melted as a gust of flames emerged from the monster's side freeing several of them from the icy grip and shooting directly towards Todoroki that used his ice to block the flame creating a large gust of mist that was blown away to reveal a large elephant creature with six different trunks and four arms, each trunk seemed to be coursing with different elements notably fire, wind, water, electricity, a gaseous substance, and finally some slick slime.
Todorki didn't know what the two of them were, but he knew that it wasn't wise to inhale or let that substance touch him, so when the creature blew on those two trunks at him, he countered with his flash freeze heatwave, the massive wave of air blowing the attack back on the user, and while not effective against the large elephant itself, he could figure out what the substance was. As the gas passed, a couple of the other monsters began to choke and pass out dead, while the goo completely started to melt the trees that it touched down to the base, so poisonous gas and acid he thought as he prepared to enrage the creature again. Bakguo flew through the enemy ranks, shooting through the low-level threat monster.
As he did so, he didn't need to take care of the small fry; what he needed to deal with was any one of them considered strong so that his class...his friends didn't have to, and he found his target as suddenly he avoided a water jet aimed right for him, just barely able to put his armored gauntlets up and deflect the harmful blast away from him. The "accident" of that was that the water jet scored across some other monsters that were streaming by next to him, bisecting them or cutting deeply into some parts of the more durable ones. Just as he was about to aim at that one, something out of the corner of his eyes came blurring at him with impressive speed. This thing was also a monster coming at him with a large blade that was half his size, swinging it down at him, but he was able to use an explosion to move him out of the way in the nick of time. He was going to return with another attack, but a side glance at the literal walking showerhead made him jump out of the way as it seemingly reloaded and fired at him again.
those water jets weren't a joke they were fast as he even as he dodged the water still skimmed his hair causing some of it to fall out around him but he never minded that as he avoided another from the stiched-together monster next to him and it's large sword but bakugo didn't bother counter-attacking keeping his eyes on the rage target first rais up and into the sky above the trees so the targets last hit went wide but this allowed bakugo to rain down a barrage of ap-shots which he hoped had knocked the creature out but things weren't going to go his way as there was a monster next to him one an armadillo with an extra hard shell so he guessed that one was going to be the shield and the other was the sword as the three monsters stacked up on each other again as the shower head was about to launch another blast of water at him.
Tokoyami for his part was mostly staying back he didn't have too much more practice with his astral arrows than before but he still wanted to keep the monster back if possible while watching over his other classmates, his shots would often land mostly in shoulders or legs which would sometimes take the monsters out of the fight at least the ones that didn't have some sort of healing factor of some kind but he noticed something burst up from the ground next to him it was a large spider monster with four eyes and serrated sharp teeth, it tried to rain down on them with it's piercing claws but Tokoyami quickly sidestepped the attack before using his Icarus wings to fly up and away shooting arrows at the creature all the while, the spider raised on its hind legs to stop his ascent coming down hard but Tokoyami caught the heavy blow from slamming over his head but the heavy blow still pushed him downwards he swapped to his serrrated sunlight blades and slashed at the tips of the creatures appedage cutting it completly in two making the creature shriek out in pain and anger and attack him even more violently with it's other legs as he led the burrowing creature away from the small cliff with the hut on top of it.
The rest of the class essentially made a wall against the oncoming monsters a good majority of the monsters they were able to defeat without out too much difficulty especially as they all worked together and fought side by side, momo was further behind the others using her weapons to pepper the approaching monsters with fire, the bullets she fired were similar to her training round but instead this time around being cement similar to her traditional cement gun but more compact upon impact with a target the round would explode in the sludge and due to the chemical mixture it had a mild numbing effect which when combined with multiple shots on the same target could lead to a paralysis effect on the target making several monsters fall over on the ground.
Tsu and Uraraka were working together as they would traditionally, using a lot of the scattered rocks around them from the fighting to use their team-up super move. Meteor Fafrotskies, causing multiple monsters to cover themselves or back up from the rapid barrage of rocks headed in their direction, some even being knocked unconscious by the speed of the rocks flying at them. Shoji, Omaro, Sato, and Kirishima all ran to meet the monster head-on, hoping to draw as much attention to them as possible. The four boys would cover each other's backs as several monsters came for them. Each one had different ways of dealing with their attackers. Kirishima would take the attacks head-on with his hardening and then return with a strong counterhit. Shoji would use his Buddha to sprout arms from the ground and catch the attack for him, leaving the monster open for his counterattack. Sato would do his best to block and counter like normal, while Ojiro would use the water stream rock-smashing fist to evade and parry strikes while returning some of his own.
Kaminari, Jiro, Mina, and Aoyama were a part of the long-range support group and were supported by sero, Toru, and Jackie all of the members of this group fought with range weapons in some kind as sound cannons, lasers, electricity, and paper steamed down into the stampeding monsters in the advent that monster got to close was when Jackie and Toru would come into play the only caveat to this was that Jackie definitely didn't see the point in sparing monsters and would use her whirlwind to the best of her capabilities which were still not to the extent of Toru's but against the level of monsters they were facing currently was enough for it to be deadly or at the very least extremely painful but the group let it slide and didn't comment too much on it other than some light-hearted disapproving remarks from sero, in the evntualtity that the monsters had brought their own range wepons with them was up to toru to neutralize them if Iida didn't get to them first that was, the speedy class president wasn't in a dedicated location but using his speed to help out all of his classmates where he could although given the loose number of rocks and debris everywhere it really hampered how fast he could go without accidently trippiing up on somethign even with his training with flash he still had to be mindeful and couldn't fully cutloose as if they were on even terrain.
Koda and Aki were fighting together, and while Koda was more sympathetic to the monsters he was fighting, even while enhanced with Aki's powers, he didn't completely give his all to his punches. On top of that, his style of fighting was more in the form of the swarmer style of fighting, which relied on quick and fast punches. They were weaker than slugger-type punches, but given the situation, it was likely a better style to rely upon, as those heavy punches that slugger relied on really put your weight behind the blow and could leave him open to other monsters attacking him. Even though Aki was protecting him, he still didn't want to take any chances.
Interestingly enough, some monsters didn't fight them at all; in fact, they seemingly abandoned the battle itself when they got closer to him. He thought that it may have been his new horn at work and that he truly didn't want to hurt any of them if he could help it, hoping that they would just surrender instead. That could be it, Aki could feel it still according to her and in return, she was mostly the fury between the two, the monsters that still attempted to attack them despite the emotion he was giving out she figured wasn't worth saving so she didn't hold back in killing them ripping through them with her claws or teeth while koda would forgive them for it he didn't fight her on it because he could see her reasoning but also because his mind was elsewhere at the moment if farukuro was able to come to tell them about the assault he had hoped that Torax and the others were going to be present but the others seemed to be nowhere to be found.
He concentrated heavily while using his quirk it was essentially broadcasting himself to all of the animals and monsters present he didn't want to give them away just in case they were too surrounded by other monsters to fight their way out so it was just a blanket signal not directed at any single one animal or monster. He did receive some feedback, but he didn't expect it and his next punch, as a result, was much more powerful than he expected, knocking some sort of mutant kangaroo/gorilla hybrid that completely knocked the thing off its powerful hind legs and sent it soaring back into a rock, shattering it upon impact, he saw that the monsters were sort of twitching before it slowly came to a stop, and Koda cringed inwardly before looking away from the monster.
Aki sniffed the air for several moments before yipping in happily as she rushed forward, hurriedly telling Koda that she had picked up Torax's scent close by, and with that, the both of them were off to go greet the tiger. Koda wasn't very surprised by the fact that, as they got to the clearing where Torax was to find several broken or bleeding bodies with claw marks, the tiger greeted them, and along with him was Chemonille. He had looked somewhat differently than when he saw him at that time in the parking lot two weeks ago. He was somewhat bulkier, and his arms were held more tightly, along with different claws, this time being more like Raptor claws, which were also dripping with blood. Farukuro was there with them as well, having just landed next to his partner.
Torax was about to go into an explanation about what was happening but chemonillie interrupted them and wanted to talk about where his brothers were, and for that torax had no clue but farukuro had an idea of where they could be and that the monster baquma's avatar may have absorbed them along with volten most likely given that the monster was shooting out attacks similar to theirs koda at first thought that meant that they were gone but the trio of monsters explained that, it wasn't necessarily the case torax explained it was similar to pig god in a way he could absorb monsters and use their powers for the time they are in his system which meant they were still alive right now if it was still using their powers and so the group made quick haste to get to where the battle between it and Todoroki was happening, koda ensured to inform his classmates of his absence and they all ran over their as quickly as possible just in time to get blasted away by a wave of pressure from the clash between the two of them.
Two beings clashed with forces of fire and ice along the floor beneath them changing from heated rock to icy slippery land, the elephant had other tricks such as electricity and wind to add additional effects but none of them reach Todoroki, especially the poisonous gases which the teen made sure to stay clear fighting the length of a kilometer by simply flinging out mountains of ice at the creature, torax suggested that koda would be the one to go out there and finish the creature off while it was distracted explaining that if they all pooled their power into him then he likely could be able to destroy the creature with one punch and diminish the likely hood of a counter-attack by that poison gas which even Torax didn't want to tangle with and since koda's mask also worked as a gas mask he was the best option for it and before he got worried about killing something chemonille explained that the creature before them was merely an avatar of the real monster, not the monster itself the real monster was a more subdued version that wears a suit and was more human in apperance just with an elephant head in comparsion to the large figure before them and koda nodded.
He didn't know if they were just telling him that just so that he didn't feel bad but he trusted them, so he began to step forwards and used his feedback and took all that he could he felt his steps get heavier and heavier as he continued he telepathically told Todoroki to stop his next attack before dashing forwards breaking the ground beneath him with a deafening shockwave but the avatar was to distract by Todoroki to notice or it didn't care as several noises rung out around them but that was a fatal mistake as koda's fist and body barreled through the creature charging buffalo making it pop like a balloon and out of that balloon came the monster it had absorbed and farukuro was right Volten, Brut, and Enjoe were all spit out of the creature that's body began to evaporate into thin air.
As koda relinquished the powers the others gave him, then they immediately acted out as the other three monsters that had been absorbed had been disposed of. the other three of their group quickly shook themselves awake and the three brothers quickly reconciled with each other in a massive celebratory group hug which they dragged both Todoroki and Koda into due to being their teachers, the others were more concerned about the battle at hand and Koda suggested that they all go back towards where his friends were to help out if they could deter most of the other monsters first then they could help out Bang and Bomb dealing with the stronger monsters.
Torax and Volten disproved such actions stating that they would likely just get in the way and be more of a hindrance instead of help and most of the monsters agreed even Aki could tell that it wasn't something wise to do and she didn't even know of the monsters present maybe it was something monsters could feel between themselves or she was remembering what happened with torax when he fought against energizer the first time. but they would save that argument for a time after the other monsters were dealt with so the group began to make their way back to regroup with the others fighting back.
Midoriya had just dodged out of the way of another energy blast sent his way by the monster in front of him, the monster in question seemed to be an electric monster of some kind, and if he remembered correctly there was a monster that his friends had encountered called energizer and the monster being very talkative told him that indeed was his name as the two of them battle, the monster was ofily talkative and despite the battle, the two were having seemingly friendly for a cadre of the monster association but he did allow both bakugo and Todoroki to live so maybe he wasn't so bad, as the two fought midoirya attempted to talk to the monsters and discuss his reasonings for joining the monster association and if he would switch sides but the monster didn't take the offer, reasoning that humans and monster simply didn't get along well enough for that and that he wanted the ability to roam around carefree, using himself as the prime example when he didn't even do much of anything to humans but he was still hunted down by the association and captured before being used and expiremented on until he found the strength to be able to escape by himself.
Midoirya could understand why the monster didn't think living with the humans would be a worthwhile gamble there was no telling what they would do to them once they were captured again, there was a good chance that they would just kill him and be done with it instead of bothering with trying to contain him so he didn't have much to convince the monster in that regard so instead, he shifted the conversation to collect the information he at first obviously asked why the monsters were there in the first place and he answered him explaining that the advisor was interested in garou although given the force he brought to capture the man calling it a simple interest was a little underselling the matter, Midoriya immediately queried why the advisor wanted garou but energizer simply shrugged his shoulders he didn't know the why's or cared he didn't care he was given his orders and they were going to accomplish it, however having him their was unexpected they only had accounted for bang and bomb not the others.
Midoriya had constantly used his dangerous sense to its maximum potential not only to keep on his toes against the monster energy blast but also to keep tabs on the bang and bomb's battle in the distance he was momentarily distracted from it all once he saw that the rest of his classmates were in the area as well, which he felt mixed emotions about but it did allow him to focus more on the battle at hand instead of Shoji and bakugo handling all of the other monsters by themselves and given their objective it would also help in saving garou from their clutches. Bang and Bomb were both engaged with their enemy each enemy was surprisingly difficult both of them were extremely fast and moved with ninja-like precision.
Bang likened them both to the flashy flash of the S-class heroes but their forms while humanoid took on a monster appearance one of them seemed to even radiate flames from its shoulders while the other was completely shrouded in a harsh wind. while the two individuals were faster than them, Bang and Bomb were still the better fighter between two and could still react to them allowing them to dodge and avoid most of their strikes although this was easier on Bang's part not only due to the style of martial arts the two brothers used but Bomb was also had the negative of being sleep deprived before the battle taking care of garou for the past two weeks was a handful on the both of them, after the boy's abilities wore off and the young teen was free he had on many occasion attempted to escape from their custody which they had to beat the man unconscious several times and the worst part was each time too required more and more effort from the both of them almost like the young boy was improving with each lost.
This ultimately forced their hand into tying the boy up and having to take separate watches over him over the night it was Bombs's turn the other day so the martial artist was extremely tired but still managed to keep up well enough although Bang was still cautious about his older brother which leads to sometimes where his opponent would take advantage of his loss of focus. The fight between the ninja and the martial artist took on a turn with the arrival of another person the two parties were surprised by the new arrival both bang and bomb thought that it was reinforcements by the monster's side as the person that joined them was a samurai of some kind but his face that of a monster but instead of attacking them he defended the two martial artists and the fact that the ninja remarked that this individual should have been dead.
They saw he was eaten but the samurai paid them no mind and charged ahead only telling the two martial artists the objective of the monsters they were there to capture Garou and that he was here with the teens. bang's brow furrowed at that asking about how he knew but that discussion was put on hold as the ninja pressed their attack on them even more which already spoke the truth about what the new arrival said bang wanted to rush past the monster and head directly to garou but he didn't want to leave his brother here with the ninja and the new arrival which he didn't quite trust yet although as the ninja attacked him as well he believed him more and more. the hoard of monsters started to dwindle as time continued to go by.
Tokoyami had dealt with the monster he was fighting and went back to help with the others along with koda, but Todoroki and the more friendly monsters coming along to the attack weren't able to get much headway anymore, this was especially the case as Momo started to utilize her helper-bots which were rebuilt and designed villain bots and the robots on I-island she summoned a total of five of them to sure up the line that koda had left when he left. the monsters seemed to attempt at least one last desperate attempt with another wave of creatures this time they included a flying element most of which was a large hive of massive monster wasps, some of them were even able to shoot out their stingers down below at the causing several teens to run for momo for a shield to protect themselves, to answer this threat both Jiro and Aoyama lifted KaMinari and Votlen into the air at the coming hoard of wasps using their electricity to shock the entire hoard causing a majority of them to drop down towards the ground.
The sky assault of the wasps was just a cover for the phoenix-man to go over the defense undetected he reached the top of the hut and landed before proceeding inside, he looked around the shabby hut for several moments, the floor was shallow given by the sounds that his foot made as he walked so he tunneled down into the ground and there he found his prize, he was happy to find his target they're chained up but he was surprised that he also found that the entire floor seemed to be covered by something before noticing a creatures head below, it was in the form of a dragon and to prove his point the creature exhaled smoke from its nostrils but it did not attack him yet so he didn't know where the monster stood was it with the monster association or those teens outside? he queried.
"Are you going to attack me?" the bird monster asked straight up.
"I do not know unless you attack me first of course." the dragon spoke back and phoenix-man was curiously tilting his head to one side and the other, before he noticed another figure down below this one, was about the size of the teens outside and was wrapped around the dragons tail which tightened as he noticed him looking at it.
"Is that boy your meal?" the dragon looked at the boy, before turning his head back towards the bird.
"No, you could say that he is my true form." the dragon replied.
"ah, I see." that would explain why he was holding him so defensively, he needed to hurry up however they didn't have many more monsters to act as a distraction.
"Well, I'm here for that guy, will you let me have him?" phoenix-man remarked pointing his wing at the chained-up man. the dragon looked at where he was pointing before returning to his sights on the bird.
"I'm undecided, the boy wants me to stop you, however, I have no obligations to do so it could be rather tiring to fight currently, especially given the proximity of my real body." the dragon commented and phoenix-man didn't know how to take that so he offered a compromise.
"how about this you hand garou up here and I'll leave you in peace." phoenix-man offered and a dragon lord breathed out another burst of smoke from his nostrils before pausing for a moment and nodding. using his massive tail to smack the chained-up garou in the chest the blow shattered the chains that held him up and rudely woke up the teen, but he just yelled out in anger at the pain that coursed through him and the injuries he sustained from his previous day's escape he felt himself get lifted and found himself in the being pushed up by to the surface of the hut they were in where there waited a bird which slapped something on his next that sent a vibrant pain to flash through him, it felt like his entire nervous system was on fire and he blacked out once again.
Sigismund watched as dragonlord just handed garou to the monsters with nothing but pure disdain all of his ghostly yells seemed to fall on death's ears as he couldn't do anything to stop it. Tokoymai was right all along and now looked at what happened. he thought bitterly as the bird creature got the chained-up garou in position and flew off straight through the roof and up into the open air and it was at that moment when they heard the bird call out to just about everything in the surrounding area.
"elder centipede comes out! kill everyone left on the ground!" the bird screeched from the air. everyone paused and looked in the direction of the sound all of them except for Midoriya, midoirya was on the edge of the bird's vocal range but he didn't need to hear what was said he felt something was wrong his dangerous sense flared white-hot the ground visible vibrated and shook as if a mini-earth quake had just gone off before they continuing with a steady tremor before something massive rose out of the ground and what truly caught his eye was the hut that rose out of the ground with it.
Garou still inside of there quired rapidly inside of his head as he didn't think and dashed towards the hut in question using his float to get towards the place in the distance he noticed Tokoyami also flying up towards the hut but he was suddenly tackled by a figure that seemingly appeared from out of it, initially he believed that the person was Garou but as he got closer he noticed that the two tussling mid-air both possessed wings of some kind shining lights golden wings and the other one which appeared to he monsters more draconic wings but he ignored that as the hut along with the hill it was on was completely shattered by the giant creature present and now that he was closer he could immediately tell what had just arrived it was Elder Centipede. Midoriya quickly landed down and without discussing much of anything with his friends he used his black whip to physically move all of them away from the area especially as a bunch of the debris from the cliff started to rain down around them.
"Midoriya, what happened to the other monster?" Iida asked
"They likely retreated, where is garou?" midoirya immediately questioned and this question was echoed by a bang as he, bomb, and saren made them into the small clearing he found themselves in looking up at the towering centipede creature. others shook their head expressing not knowing and only looking up at the hut that was currently cut into pieces and falling towards the ground but Tokoyami and the strange humanoid dragon monster made their way to the ground flying side by side instead upon landing however the dragon seemingly noticing bang and bomb their prostrated himself in front of them repeatedly apologizing for something which confused both of the gentlemen immensely and everyone looked to Tokoyami to see what was going on with the new monster but asui took a step further.
"Tokoyami? Is sigismund?" the girl asked suddenly and everyone's eyes sparked open again waiting for the answer he was in the basement of the hut with garou so given what happened just now.
"He's right there, apparently he was capable of an ability similar to mine and on the topic of garou, he's apologizing because his monster gave garou away, he's alright but he's in the monster association clutches as of now." Tokoyami commented pointing at the still down dragon kin-like monster. making everyone look down in shock, Sigismund was noticeably vibrating scared of what Bang may say or do to him but he expressed that he was comforted to know that his apprentice was still alive and that he was safe and Sigismund immediately thanked him for being so forgiving and kind before standing up, he was standing at a new height of 6ft tall and toward over most of them similar to koda and Shoji with equally large wings on his back but everyone quickly turned their attention back to the present threat at hand before being the giant centipede.
"Man, how are we going to take something like that down!?" Mineta said in a slightly panicked voice, two hands clasped on both of his shoulders both Mina and Kirishima remarked with determined smiles and said the same thing.
"Together!" and to immediately counter what they said and take the wind out of the two sails, silver chain suddenly appeared next to them.
"I would advise retreat if possible instead." the tall ninja suggested suddenly and in those next moments bakugo arrived down with his fiery temper as always.
"Like hell, I'm going to run away!" bakugo yelled defiantly.
"I doubt many of us could hurt the creature even if we tried." silver chain counter making bakugo suck his teeth.
"I think Bakugo is right; if we try to run away, it may follow us, and that could lead to more people getting hurt." Midoirya offered instead, and the ninja nodded in agreement. Conversations were put on hold as the monster seemed to spot them and charge forward. The ground beneath shook as its movements kicked up and moved gravel to the side as its body pushed itself along the ground at incredible speed. Both bangs and bombs suggested that everyone stand a couple of meters behind them as they took center stage with their arms circled each other in each of their martial arts. flowing water whirlwind roaring aura sky ripping fist the two shouted simultaneously striking the creature dead on with both of their fist and stopping it in its tracks as resounding cracks started to surface along its body, the monster's head and upper body reared back as the two of them continued to lay into it but the head quickly came back around to counter strike but Midoriya was there to protect the old men landing a one million percent smash! to the creature's face, making the monster completely lose its balance and crash down to the ground, but it rose equally as quickly but did not immediately come to attack them as its body thrashed about from the shockwave of the two brothers technology.
"The shockwave is spreading through its entire body. That monster will soon be reduced to dust," the bomb commented as he watched the monster around him.
"This move places a heavy burden on two old men like us; we can only perform it once; it is good that we were able to hit him," Bang said.
Everyone began to look at the monster as the cracks started to become more and more visible on its outer carapace before, finally, the cracks began to violently fragment and vibrate before exploding. Everyone had hopeful looks on their faces, but Midoirya was unconvinced, as he immediately started to gather more stock for his fajin. This wasn't over, he remarked simply, and as the dust settled, everyone else could see as well that the monster was completely fine. No, it was more than just fine; it was larger than it was before. It had molted. Toru used her quirk to hide them all away so they could come up with something, but the centipede just started to rampage all over in response, so they still had to be careful of not only debris but falling rocks as well.
"it's indestructible!" Mineta cried out in panic.
"Not completely; it's just highly adaptable; Deku was able to hurt it, so there may be a chance," Kirishima suggested, holding a fist in the air with determination.
"Yeah, but I need time to use attacks like that. I don't think I'll have the chance to build up Fajin, and... I know it's ironic coming from me, but on top of the gear shift time limit, I don't think my bones can hold up to that strain," Midoirya commented. Even after that single attack, his arm was purpling up.
Let me help with that, Midoirya. I can harden you and better brace you for the impact!" Kirishima suggested.
"And I will let you borrow a shining light to boost your abilities even more." Tokoyami suggested.
"But who's going to protect you, Tokoyami?" was Midoriya's immediate question.
"I will. I need to make up for my mistakes. I won't fail this time." Sigismund said, stepping up, and Midoriya nodded in confirmation. so the plan was quickly set into motion as midoirya was clad in shining lights armor while sero used his tape to tie midoirya and Kirishima together so that he could keep a tight grip on his shoulders and stay connected to him and uraraka lightened Kirishima with her quick making it so Midoriya wouldn't even notice the weight of him so while charging fujin up in both his arms and legs he dashed off with incredible speed directly at the large monster the punch that landed resounded over the entire area unleashing a shockwave that scatters multiple of the rocks that weren't firmly planted on the ground, the shockwaves were then answered by a resounding boom that shook the ground as the large centipede took a hard plummet to the earth knocking multiple trees into the air but it rose again quickly meeting midoirya in mid-air which he avoided and answered back with a kick sending the creature crashing into a mountain causing it to be buried underneath it but it rose again only more infuriated than before lashing out with tackles or trying to stab midoirya with it's long pincers but the teen avoided it each time and returned with two more hard hits before he needed to re-establish his fujin stalks and that was when the others took the monster attention.
Silver Chain, Todoroki, and Bakugo started to bombarbed the monster with attacks, silver chain using her clones as stepping stones flew up into the monster face and began stabbing at it's face it was the weakest point on the monsters which only served to anger it bakugo covered for her as the creaters sponatanously grew a tendril from beneath its carapace and wrapped it around her using his explosison to break it off before using an ultra high intesnetity stun grenade on the creatures face blinding it and allowing Midoriya to land an attack straight on it's face with a one million percent manchester smash caving the monsters face in and slamming it towards the ground one more time, this time it took a mmoment ot get back up and that was when the others in the class to jump in on the action mineta used many of his pop off orbs to try in some crazy attempt to hold the monster down or at least slow it down somewhat this was compunded by momo's and the rest of the class dumping metric tons of created cement on the creature, while both Todoroki and Mina using her plasma state melted the earth beneath it which sunk the body of the creature into the earth before Todoroki used his vaccum ability to completely freeze the segment cold with the monster trapped inside.
It wasn't an original plan she had come up with but it was the easiest to implement on short notice. Todoroki tapped the creature and attempted to cool it down completely maybe send it into extended cryo sleep but the monster was just so large that it didn't take effect and not only that it seemed like its very cells were constantly generating more heat than he could absorb leaving him to forgo the effort, instead the small 50 meters he did freeze of the creature silver chain suggested to plant an explosive on that spot to hurt it which they did planting multiple explosives before the monster face seemingly finished regenerating and it started to move again, quickly escaping from the trap and forcing its body upwards launching many of two close classmates high into the air which Sero, Jiro, and Aoyama quickly went to rescue from the large fall.
the explosive activated a couple of seconds later taking a large gash out of the creature's side and exposing some of the flesh underneath it was during that moment that bang and bomb struck out again both of them being raised high into the air by sero tape, saren had used magic to restore some of their stamina so they could perform another one of their special attacks this one wasn't as powerful as their first one which even with their partially returned stamina they could only perform once given their age as the toll on the body was fairly immense before the attacked they performed this time was the Whirlwind Water Stream: Cross Fang Dragon Slayer Fist the two attacked shattered the frozen scales on either side of the monster and the creature howled in pain which came even louder when both Silver Chain and Saren sliced at the now exposed flesh but the cuts while deep was superficial in actually dealing critical damage on the monster.
The massive monster shifted and its body and the scales seemingly started to shift and move higher on its body sealing the opening that they created while extending its many legs and twisting its body to hit the airborne fighters they were able to avoid getting stabbed by the creatures sharp legs but were still sent reeling back from the blow as the extended legs hit their body, to make matter worst the monsters raised it's upper body up and was coming back to slam down on the rest of the group of them easily breaking through the frozen ground and cement they coated its middle section in midoirya was still recharging his fujin so it was up to them to delay the monster Bakugo used his explosive cannon times twelve, Todoroki used a dual blue flashfire fist, Mina used her plasma cannon, Aoyama used his supernova, and Jiro used her legato.
Even Momo joined in using her enhanced gatling gun. Despite the teen's combined efforts, this merely slowed the giant behemoth down and allowed all the others to get out of dodge as the monster turned its face away from the oncoming barrage and attempted to muscle through it with the side of its head, but as it came to close and lashed out with one of its large incisors, Midoirya was there to catch it in his hands before it could spear Bakugo, who was the closest one. Stopping it took a tremendous effort. Midoriya felt the blow glance off the shining light armor on the abdomen section, and just that was enough for the armor to start fading away. The monster shifted its head with extreme speed and came at him again. This was where he felt the blow, even though Kirishima's hardening pierced into his side, sending him rushing to the side, crashing through rocks and trees. The violent blow even separated him and Kirishima from each other as they both went tumbling off, crashing into the trees and rocks.
Midoirya checked his side and felt some blood pour out, but it wasn't anything too serious unless it was poisonous. As a result, he didn't feel any different than normal, but that wasn't exactly true, as he suddenly felt a wave of dissension and exhaustion take him. His time limit for gear shift was up; he had managed to get it to 10 minutes, but that wasn't enough time, so he inwardly cursed. They needed to get away, he thought as he noticed the group start to regroup towards them under Toru's ability. He was happy to see that Kirishima was ok; he was clutching his side, but other than that, it seemed ok. Uraraka and Momo noticed he was bleeding and instantly started to administer the aid that they could, but the rumbling of the monster caused everyone to look back at the giant monster. It was headed right towards them; could it still see them through Toru's invisibility, or was it something else? Silver Chain suggested that it was likely following the trail of overturned trees and battered rocks.
The class was just out of options at this point, and as they saw that creature barrel down at them in a large zigzag path, they seemingly confirmed that it didn't know exactly where they were but the general direction it believed they were in. Bang stepped up in front of everyone and took a deep breath in the awakening breath, which Oiro noted along with the man's brother. Bang was going to fight the large monster by himself while the others escaped, putting his life on the line to do so. At least that's what he thought when suddenly a voice boomed over a speaker.
"Elder Centipede! vermin! I brought Blast with me—the guy you've been looking for. Yeah, that's right, the one that kicked your ass two years ago and sent you running home to suck on your mother's teet! Trash like you deserve to stay underground. If you plan on shitting yourself and running away again, do all of us a favor and never show your face again! Or are you at least somewhat brave enough to come over here and die like a man?" The voice remarked and said the voice was unmistakable; it was from none other than the king himself. The monster had stopped its charge completely and turned to the sound of the voice before taking its provocation head and charging towards the sound of where King inevitably was.
"I lured him over here; that way, no one else would get involved; you'll have to deal with it in one blow; that way, it doesn't escape underground again. You'll only have a small opportunity to do it, so try your best to contain the blast radius. Don't use any attacks that would push the centipede back onto the city itself; we don't need another B-city situation." King remembered being told this by the association dispatcher, but the only thing rushing through his mind at that very moment as the large centipede barreled at him with his jaw open wide and full of hate was.
"Saitama! He's going to hit!" He silently yelled as the beast drew too close for comfort, but in the very next moment, a resounding boom set off next to him—a serious punch—and the creature seemingly evaporated out of thin air—well, not quite. The blow was strange in a way; the saitama punch was like shockwaves going through and destroying the creature's body as it went until it was completely gone and King finally allowed his body to relax.
King was slightly surprised when he noticed a couple of meters away were the entirety of the non-killing army and some others as well, along with a bang and a bomb. The group slowly made their way towards the duo, surprised that they were there and asking how they knew he was there in the first place. King explained that he was contacted by the association that an elder centipede was raging out in the mountains of Z-city and that I should help out, so he went to collect saitama and came here straight away to deal with it. Sasayama himself wasn't too interested in what was happening, only looking down at his fist and mumbling to himself about how it still only took one punch. He interrupted the conversation by asking if that was the monster association boss, to which Bakugo angrily replied that it wasn't but just another of its sub-bosses, but Asterius explained with the news that with Elder Centipede gone, both of the strongest cadres were now defeated, which everyone was relived to here.
The group started to spread out in their conversation as they discussed what was going to happen next. Both Bang and Bomb were extremely tired from their attacks, while their former students began to talk to them about the two combo attacks they did on the monsters. Koda, Momo, and Iida were trying to think up what they could do with the monsters they captured. For the moment, of all the monsters that they were fighting, only 28 of them were still alive and just unconscious, but they were left wondering where to take them. Should they hand them over to the association? or would that just be the equivalent of sparing their hands from getting dirty with their blood?
Given the recent attacks and the fact that all of the monsters present were actually from the monster's association, they would be hard-pressed to show mercy to them. They still attempted to contact the association regardless, but mostly just wanted to speak with either Sitch or Exma directly and none of the sub-bosses, but unfortunately, that didn't have much luck either. The association was more on guard with taking in monsters of any kind given the recent breakout, especially if the monsters came from them, which sparked even more discussion about what that entailed, and they explained that the monsters that Midoirya brought in were the cause of the breakout happening from the inside of the prison, a dog creature of some kind. Iida defended their classmates for not knowing that such a thing would have happened, and Sitch agreed, but he argued that the current climate of the association wouldn't allow the capture of so many monsters at a time.
So they were again stuck; most of the others that were from here suggested just killing them, and even the monsters themselves suggested so as well, but the teens didn't want to go that far if they didn't have to, and even the monsters that were still conscious were petrified to make any moves likely due to seeing what had happened to an elder centipede. After brainstorming for some time on possible solutions, Momo came up with the idea of maybe getting Drive Knight to help them. KaMinari was skeptical of doing such a thing given what they knew him doing to monsters, so Koda suggested maybe Metal Knight could help them instead; he was the one that designed the prisons in the first place after all, and he didn't seem too interested in experimenting with monsters.
So with that concluded, they decided to call the doctor, and while he had some requests of his own, he agreed to help them, at least partially. He wouldn't commit any of his resources to them besides his drones to help build the facility; the actual material would have to come from them unless they could pay, which they obviously couldn't unless they wanted to become bankrupt and be in debt to the man, so instead both Mineta and Momo would provide the materials needed, and given the recently destroyed area, it made the perfect place to house the monsters for some time, calling it a sort of preserve, if you will, similar to some found in K-city.
Bakugo took Silver Chain to the side to speak with the girl.
"It took you long enough to get here," Bakguo remarked.
"It was the best I could do on such short notice; I didn't offer much in terms of support regardless." Silver Chain replied with a small nod.
"Nonsense, you helped out just fine, although I'm sure earlier would have been better. There were two ninjas here earlier fighting the two old guys, and I was curious how you would stack up against them." Bakguo commented, and at that, there was a brief hesitation in the girl's response. He noticed her hands shifted somewhat, and her eyes looked forward to the others behind him before focusing back on him.
"I ran into them on my way here; I was able to injure one of them, but he should recover just fine. The two were strong; if I had to fight the both of them, I would likely lose," Silver Chain replied.
"They just let you go through?" Bakugo asked.
"They likely assumed I would die fighting against the elder centipede," she commented simply.
"Tch, I didn't expect you to consider running to be your first choice of options," Bakugo commented with a smug grin.
"I simply wanted to minimize the risk of casualties; we only won by luck. Remember that fighting battles that you know you can't win is foolish and one of your greater flaws that you need to correct." Silver Chain stated, factually whipping Bakugo's grin off his face as he growled at the girl, but before he could raise his voice, something completely baffled him. From behind, he heard singing.
"One day you will leave this world behind, so live a life you will remember!" at first it was just Sero and Jackie but as they kept singing the same lyric over and over again more and more of their class joined in the usual idiots. Still, when Jiro joined in mostly through the begging of the sparkplug, suddenly everyone started to sing along with them even the quiet people and for some reason, bakugo felt something egging him on, he turned around to face silverchain who going by her eyes was completely confused even asking if this was some sort of victory celebration they were doing Bakugo fought whatever was compelling him and turned shooting a quick AP-shot backward at his classmates but the singing didn't stop. He fired again and again before stopping when the dust revealed that they all were hardened and also protected by Midoriya's black whip along with a light barrier making bakugo completely roll his eyes.
The group sang for a few more seconds before dying down suddenly and sporadically, and everyone seemed almost as confused as he was. There was a rapid shuffling behind them, and Todorki had covered himself inside of an iceblock. Momo was unconsciously making Russian nesting dolls as her face was extremely flushed red, but nobody seemed to have seen what had happened between them, leaving even more people confused. So while those idiots sorted themselves out, Bakugo looked back at the large girl behind.
"We're still training later on, right?" Bakugo questioned.
"You don't seem too injured to cancel it, or are you?" Silver Chain asked
"Nope, most of them were chumps anyway," Bakugo commented, simply puffing out his chest.
"I see good. I would like to speak with you about something." Silver Chain remarked vaguely again. He saw her hand noticeably shift; she seemed unsure of something. He was curious; he held no thoughts about it being something about them being in a relationship or anything even close to that, but his heart still started to just beat that bit faster, and he only nodded in response before leaving it at that.
Deliberations: Bakugo, Silver Chain
The class was mostly back at home for the moment. Besides Momo and Mineta, the two of them were still back at the preserve, making the materials for the preserve under the guidance of Metal Knight. Given the scope of the project, they will likely be there for at least several days, if not the rest of the week, working on it. But the main focus of the class was on what was happening with Bakugo and Silverchain, and if that was going to happen, it became such a topic that there had been some betting starting to take place within certain circles, which culminated in this nighttime spy mission.
Silver Chain had thwarted nearly all of their attempts to spy on them before, but this time they believed that with the collections of all of the best scouts in the class, they might be able to pull one over the ninja girl, so using Toru's quirk, they created a small enough bubble to fit seven of them inside of it, these six people being Toru, Mina, Uraraka, Deku, Shoji, and Jiro. So using Uraraka's quirk, they had her lighten all of them, and Shoji wrapped them all together so that they didn't float to nowhere until Toru could use her light manipulation to create another bubble around all of them, which allowed her to move all of them without any sound being heard. The group of six slowly followed behind Bakugo and kept a distance to ensure the utmost secrecy as he met up with Silver Chain for their usual nighttime training. Jiro used her spy ears to listen intently to what was being said inside and broadcast it to the others inside the bubble through the headsets they were wearing.
The two exchanged a simple greeting before the talking just stopped for a moment. There seemed to be some scuffle of some sort, but then the two went silent again. Suddenly, Midoirya felt a burst of anger, but it wasn't from Bakugo. Was that from Silver Chain? Did she know that they were there, or was it something Bakugo did? Midoriya thought, but the spying group suddenly found themselves surrounded by Silver Chain's five clones, and that's when they knew that the gig was up, Midoirya paid them no mind as he could have sworn that in the distance he spotted something scurry up and away from the room that Bakugo and Silver Chain were in. When they were spotted, everyone deactivated their quirks and began to apologize and walk away, but Midoriya's curiosity got the best of him, and he went back to the room in question and found it empty. So he wasn't just seeing things; part of him was worried that Bakugo may have been kidnapped, but he would give it some time and wait it out. If he didn't hear from him during the standard time he comes back, then he would start to worry for now. He guessed that the two of them needed to talk somewhere more private.
Saitama Gorge
Bakugo woke up with a startling breath. He was lying down on a rock of some kind. No, that was not quite right. While the rock was under him, he was lying down on Silver chain's liquid metal, or living metal, as she called it. His neck was still throbbing from the pain of the attack she hit him with to knock him out.
"Did you have to knock me out for that? I would have just left with you." Bakguo commented immediately as he popped his neck and looked around. He immediately knew where he was given the large gaping space between two rock plateaus; they went pretty far out from the base, he thought.
"Yes, well, as I said before, I wanted to speak to you more privately." Silver Chain responded.
"Were those idiots following me? I told them."
"It wasn't just your friends I was talking about; the association itself likely has monitors and equipment to pick up communications." Silver Chain said, and Bakugo looked hardened at that, now more serious about what the girl wanted to talk to him about. seemingly satisfied with how he looked at her, she took something out of her back pocket. It was a small brown sack of some kind neatly wrapped at the top, which she undid, and what was revealed shocked him.
"Is that?" Bakguo asked, pointing at the object within, and the girl nodded.
"Yes, this is what I believe you called a monster cell," Silver Chain said.
"Where did you—those ninjas—they gave that to you?" Bakugo asked, and the girl nodded again.
"Yes, they gave it to me. They said that we are hunting the same target and that this will help us achieve that goal. They even gave me two to offer shadow rings as well." Silver Chain remarked.
"So, why isn't she here?" Bakugo replied, crossing his arms.
"She wouldn't take this, and she would discourage me from doing so as well. clan dictates to leave all emotional attachments of my previous life behind." Silver Chain remarked. Bakugo scuffed up his face.
"Don't tell me you're serious about eating that thing, are you?" Bakugo asked.
"I don't know what else I can do. My target is so far from my grasp, and with the knowledge that there is a likelihood that I can grow no stronger than I am now, I can see no other option left to me." Silver Chain said with a hint of solemnity in her voice.
"Your target... is it a flashy flash?" Bakugo asked with some hesitance; the girl's eyes slightly widened in surprise but narrowed again before nodding her head.
"Very observant of you. yes," the silver chain said.
"You know, that's a one-way trip, right? You could lose yourself, become a monster, or die before even fighting." Bakugo said, but honestly, he didn't know what a monster version of this girl would be like. He felt a shiver just imagining how strong that martial artist became; she could be an even bigger threat than the elder centipede.
"The ninja seemed to still maintain their consciousness and even retain their human forms. As for why he killed my parents when I was a young girl just turning eight years old, is it wrong to seek vengeance? Justice for their deaths?" Silver Chain asked, mostly looking at the fire rather than Bakugo himself, and Bakugo didn't expect that. Well, if he were being honest, he sort of did, but what could he say to that? He heard of emotionally manipulating someone; was this what that felt like? Wait, was this what he did to Midoriya some time ago? Well, unfortunately for him, they couldn't just fight this emotion away, not that he would be much of a match for her in the first place, so he had to use his words to stop this girl from making a stupid mistake.
"So you want to eat that to hopefully get strong enough to kill him? What if you still aren't able to? Won't you be giving up everything in your life for nothing?" bakugo argued.
"Ever since that day, I have only dedicated my life to killing him; nothing else matters to me." Silver Chain remarked coldly, but Bakugo felt some of that wasn't true.
"So what about your clan? Are you saying you don't care if you killed them in your monster rampage? Just because those ninjas were able to control themselves doesn't mean you will be able to, or at least how long it would take for you to control yourself." Bakugo said, and there was a moment of hesitation in the girl before a brief silence took them for several minutes.
"Well, let's say that everything went your way; you kill Flash, then what?" Bakugo asked.
"I would kill myself," the girl said immediately, and Bakugo was completely left agape by the confident and firm response.
"What! Why? Just after achieving what you lived for, you're going to decide to end it all. That makes no sense."bakugo commented.
"If I went through with this, I would have betrayed the clan... Others would be sent after me; I would be either forced to fight them or constantly run from them. I do not wish for either. I don't want to kill my sisters, and I don't want them to deal with the grief of killing me." Silver Chain remarked
"So it was utter bullshit about not caring about others. If you truly didn't care, you would not mind hell; you wouldn't even be talking to me about this and just went along with it immediately." Bakugo argued, and the girl nodded her head. But Bakugo's instinct flared for a moment as the girl's fist slammed into the ground, causing it to fissure and shake for a moment.
"It just isn't fair. An assassin claiming himself to be a hero is preposterous. all the harm that he and his village have done." Silver Chain remarked Bakugo would have loved to say pot calling the kettle black here, but he wasn't going to be that insensitive, and he didn't know if that was an actual saying in this world or if it was true that he didn't know much about her clan; they could be a straight, clean, and narrow thing.
"What if he became a hero to make up for his past instead? What about his clans in the first place? He was likely just following the orders of someone else." bakugo remarked.
"His clan was mysteriously eliminated sometime after Blast invaded; information surrounding them is scarce," Silver Chain said.
"Well, couldn't you argue that your revenge has already been satisfied?" I don't want to sound like I know anything, but people don't typically get assassinated for nothing. What did your parents do to get something like that done to them?" Bakugo questioned, and the girl looked up at him. At that moment, their eyes met, and they held there for several seconds before she dropped them to look down at her fist.
"I do not know; I was too focused on getting revenge to go back to find out, or rather, it would be more correct to say that I was... scared to find out," she said simply, speaking absently rather absent-mindedly while her mind drifted somewhere else.
"Maybe that's why that clan of yours doesn't want you all looking into your past, so it's easier to control you." bakugo suggested.
"That much is obvious; I joined the clan the same year my parents died; they wanted a weapon, and I wanted revenge. It was a mutually beneficial relationship." Silver Chain replied with an actual shrug of her shoulders, which was the largest gesture she had given off since he had known the girl.
"Hmph and you say that we were the ones being indoctrinated?" Bakugo responded with a grunt of annoyance, and another surprising thing happened—so sudden that his heart nearly skipped a beat—the normally stoic girl let out a small chuckle.
"I guess you're right about that? Although given what I was about to do, you could consider me a rebel," Silver Chain said, and Bakugo instantly perked up with that.
"About?" he questioned as he watched the girl wrap up the monster cells in the package, stowing them away again. Part of him would have liked for her to just destroy them, but he wouldn't push his luck, and the two sat there under the stars for a moment.
"Thank you for actually entertaining my idea instead of instantly dismissing it. Since I'm speaking honestly, I do regard you in good favor as a friend." Silver Chain spoke up suddenly, and Bakugo smiled at that, but it faltered slightly when she said that last part, which he had thought wasn't too noticeable, but the girl's next comment made him blush.
"Although given what you said before, I guess that wouldn't be sufficient for you. I wouldn't mind changing the nature of our relationship to a more romantic one." Silver Chain said again, and this time Bakugo nearly believed her, but he still held his doubts, so thinking back on what his class said he should do, he decided to just go for it.
"Hold that thought; since we are opening up and stuff, I guess I should tell you the actual truth about myself and us, and after that, we can see if you can keep that same energy." Bakugo remarked. The girl, while surprised, didn't say anything and gestured for him to proceed. Instead, Bakugo opened up, explaining the truth of everything and what happened to them. While coming to this world, the only thing he left out was the actual black cubes that were used by this god figure, which the girl quickly figured out was something was up.
"You said that this God had brought you here, but how?" Silver Chain asked, and Bakugo hesitated for a moment but decided to answer the question with a question instead.
"I assume, well, I hope that you're going to give those monster cells to your clan or whatever. What do you think they are going to do with them?" Bakugo asked, and Silver Chain didn't question why he pivoted but opted to just answer truthfully.
"They will analyze them, of course, to see if anything useful could be made from them." Silver Chain said, and at that, Bakugo tensed slightly.
"So they essentially hope to weaponize them to make themselves stronger?" Bakugo guessed, and Silver Chain mostly affirmed, although strength wasn't the sole purpose of their research, which took on a multitude of fields.
"Well, do you believe in them enough to not be corruptible? and I mean full stop.. the thing that brought us here is pretty bad news, and we were ordered by Blast himself not to talk about it." Bakugo commented, and for that, the ninja had to think about it. She was fairly confident in her clan, but there was some room for doubt. She likely wasn't the only one with some rebellious thoughts or actions; others could be tempted, as she saw with a shadow ring during the invasion against that monster.
"If you have to think about it that long, then I guess you already know the answer," Bakugo stated calmly, and Silver Chain nodded.
"And that's just about everything; I have no more information that could be considered valuable to know." Bakugo said before murmuring a bit as he trailed off, rubbing the back of his head and looking down, but the girl's chuckle brought his head right up; she had removed her mask, and he could see a small smirk grace the girl's features.
"Yes, bakugo I am still willing to commit to a romantic relationship with you, however (she held her hand up to stop him from approaching her, making him pause before sitting back down). My clan has traditions for this sort of thing. Silver Chain commented.
"Oh bother! Alright, what the hell are they?" bakugo questioned.
"It is a trial of sorts that the partner has to go through."
"You're telling me I have to jump through a bunch of hoops just to date you? even though I could barely have a month left here in this place?" Bakugo said he was rather annoyed.
"Indeed, well, that is how it normally works to court me or my sisters; however, in your case, they would likely allow you to skip the process in hopes of fostering a child between the two of us." Silver chains were added bluntly, and bakugo was completely blown away.
"The hell is that even possible? And why the hell would I do something like that? That would be like the third shittiest thing a father could do that I know of." Bakugo commented with fury.
"Well, to answer your question, yes, we can; our DNA is close enough in shape to produce offspring, and as for why, likely just out of curiosity, enate abilities like those of your world would be something very impressive to have, especially when they are treated with great respect when they are diagnosed." silver chain commented.
"Yeah, I'm glad I didn't tell you about God now; your clan is a bunch of creeps." Bakugo responded by simply crossing his arms and looking away as the girl chuckled again.
"Maybe so; even without that, I'm sure they could allow you to bypass the trials. The information we gained from all your connections is also valuable to them." Silver Chain commented and quickly turned back toward her.
"Like hell, I'll take some handouts; I'll take the trial and beat all of it on my own," Bakguo yelled out boastfully.
"An expected answer coming from you—even if the easier way leads to the same outcome—well, in that case, I should leave. I'll be back tomorrow night to pick you up. We will be gone for the remainder of the month, so be prepared," Silver Chain said as she stood up and passed Bakugo by rubbing a hand across his chest sensually before disappearing behind again, and in her absence, the fire seemingly went out as well.
Bakugo stayed put for several moments before he received a notification on his phone that was from Midoriya checking up on him. He was about to reply with an angered question about why he would need to be looked after by him, but given his good mood, he simply said he was doing alright, but apparently, this only made his childhood friend think something was wrong as he called him on the phone, causing him to yell anyways for the nerd to shut up and leave him alone.
Worth it: Class 1A+
When Bakugo arrived back at him he immediately ignored all the prying questions about where he was or why he was out later than usual or if he actually asked silver chain out of not as he went straight to his room to begin packing for his trip tomorrow, they were back to regular hero duty but that probably wouldn't matter much after the previous day's events a number of monsters were either captured or killed along with another of the monster associations big shots along with that the heroes in their world are starting to get their shit togather as well while simply rescuing all might was not that major of an accomplishment it was a major sybolic one even without a quirk and frail as he was still an insperation to many of them, and along with Eri's power they could potentially put it to good use so in actually the day was fairly fantastic for bakugo so much so that he did have some trouble sleeping if they hadn't been fighting for such a long time previosu in the the day, once he finally hit the bed he cloacked out and went to sleep immediatly after ensuring to hide his backpack away from prying eyes.
When morning came, everyone fell back into their separate rhythms, although they had more people—well, monsters—to think about more precisely, as Asterius joined with Torax and Aki while the other monsters, mainly the three brothers and Volten, were escorted elsewhere. Most of the four of them stayed at Volten's dojo, at least until they could work on getting their human forms back, which would take some time.
Saren was teaching them how to do it, so hopefully, that would bear fruit in some time. upon notifying the association of the tiger to return to the sitch and immediately went to work uncovering the data that the tiger had provided them, so he was away for the moment while everyone else simply got back to what they did best and helped out around in the cities that needed them besides Mineta and Momo, who had their time almost exclusively with working with Metal Night. Given that he was an executive, he could supersede all other orders and make them free for as long as he needed them.
The night finally came, and Bakugo was readying himself to leave. They left under the cover of darkness, where all of his classmates were sleeping. Silver Chain knew that he disliked the attention, so she offered to do things this way. Mirroring Midoriya, he left a message in the group chat about how he would be gone for the next week and some but should be back for the lost festival that was going to take place. He left an additional handwritten letter to Kirishima that he slid under the redhead's door, and with that, he left off in the dead of night with the ninja, ensuring to put his phone on and not disturb for the remainder of the time so that he wouldn't be distracted.
1st-4th days: Bakugo was surprised at how they were traveling to wherever their destination was, he assumed that they would just get there immediately he was confident with her speed, and she was able to but she explained to him that she had to send messages ahead of time to then learn the location of the base, which often changes places a monthly and that the message should get back with them within 3-5 days, so bakugo was curious why did they decide to leave so early then but she explained to him that it was to help him practice in a way for what was to come to the trials weren't just physical trials but also psychological and academically as well and while she couldn't tell him what he would be facing not that she knew in the first place mostly due to the trials being different each time but also sometimes be tailored to the individual in the trial. So the first thing they did for the first couple of days other than training was learn; it almost felt like school all over again.
5th day: Well, they finally received the location of their clan, and it was nearly halfway across the continent, but in terms of their speed, it wasn't that far; it would only take them 24 minutes of his time if they headed at full speed non-stop, but Silver Chain advised against it and that he should conserve his stamina as much as possible for what was to come. So instead, they took their time on their travels while they continued to practice and work on things. She was fairly confident in the fact that Bakugo likely wouldn't be pressed in the history category since he was from another world; instead, she still wanted to give him some basic rundowns just to be cautious. Their combat drills were more intense than usual, but she didn't explain her reason. He speculated that some type of combat was likely to be involved of some kind, and that actually made him excited, but maybe that could also be a problem, so he flat-out asked the girl if there was anyone in her clan who was either on her level or stronger than her, and she simply said that there were a few of them like that. The two arrived at the location;
he didn't know exactly where they were, but he knew that it was somewhere in F-city. He guessed that didn't matter since they would be moving again soon. the two of them arrived at the location somewhere in some forest which he found to be not surprising at all, he didn't seem to see much of anything at first but apparently, they were already there in the first place, silver chain used her clones along with herself to strike out simultaneously between target scattered about said forest bakugo didn't even notice them until they fell to the ground but she performed this actions six times for a total of 36 targets each fell to the ground before it seemed like the world around him started to shift quite literally as the floor beneath him began to sink into the earth and there he saw the small village underneath while a majority of it was surrounded by a rocky exterior but still maintained the lush green of the forest.
The two of them proceeded forward, and as they walked, Bakugo could see shadows out of the corners of his eyes, but he didn't turn to look, not to appear paranoid. They met with what he assumed were the clan's elders; he didn't see them at all, but he noticed how all of them were female. They summoned Silver Chain forward and discussed for a moment, not even acknowledging him, which made him angry, but he bit back on any response he would have given, and they sent the two of them away to some other place where he could put his things. Silver Chain also handed him some documents.
it was a pretty large list of questions all about himself, his interests, strengths, weaknesses, family, etc along with a list of actual waivers and discretions, and at this point, he was starting to get worried about what they were going to do to him and what he was signing himself up for but he proceeded nonetheless he's gone this far so he wants to continue of course he read everything before signing his name on it he wasn't some bald idiot after all, and after that was done he handed the papers of to silver chain and he was told that his trials would begin the next day and for now he could get used to his room and not to leave and that his food would be brought to him and once done leave it at the front of the door and someone would come by and take them. silver chain wished him the best and with that left.
6th–10th days: As Silver Chain wasn't lying about the academic aspect, the very first trials were a test, a long one; thankfully, it was mostly around math and science. Silver Chain guessed correctly that biology and history would likely be amitted due to where he was actually from, but after 2 grueling hours, he got through it all and was escorted to get some food before he was once again sent back to his room. But after 10 minutes, he started to feel off. He leaped towards the door, but he stopped and thought about it. Was this another challenge for him? He felt his arms shaking, but he went back to sit down on his bed, and five minutes later someone came in with an "antidote." He reached for it but thought about how Silver Chain remarked that things weren't always so simple, so he retracted his arm. Going through the effort of poisoning someone just for five minutes of pain was stupid, so he denied it, and the woman left.
The poison continued to get worse and worse as time passed. Another girl came in, but it still wasn't her, so he again denied it. He assumed that he needed to wait for Silver Chain to bring him the attitude, but the poison started to get worse as time went on, making it hard to deny. One more girl came into his room before Silver Chain finally did, and he would have leaped into the chance to get the antidote, but he was too weak to move his body with any significant motion. She poured the elixer down his mouth, and he instantly felt relief for the first time in two hours.
He breathed heavily for several moments, cursing all the while she told him that his food was outside and he should eat as his next trail was in 30 minutes. As Bakugo mustered up the energy to get food and scarf it down, he would have been worried about it also being poisoned, but he didn't care enough, and he would think or at least hope that these people weren't as sadistic as to offer him food and make him do physical activity, especially after he was just done being poisoned. So after eating, he laid down to conserve energy, but it still didn't feel like enough as he dragged himself up and out of bed, following the silver chain along.
Now what he did not expect was that when they had made it into a single room to be blindsided by the large girl getting naked in front of him and dropping her wardrobe, Bakugo shielded his eyes, but they were smacked down from his face band, then expertly tied behind him. He let his head be turned back towards her, and he heard someone whisper in his ear to keep eye contact. He had three chances, and after taking a deep breath, he nodded, saying he was ready. bakugo opened his eyes and immediately looked towards the sky before lowering his head downwards until he met Silver Chain's still seemingly bright silver eyes, he held it, and he could tell by the motion her head was moving her body was gyrating and he heard a small clapping sound from below which he could only guess what was causing that, the girl closed the distance between them and grabbed pressed against him but he still maintained eye contact.
she moved away from him to the furthest possible point and at that distance, it was really hard to keep eye contact due to the perspective peripheral vision gave him glances of what was below but he fought his curiosity to look, a long time seemed to pass he assumed it had to be something like 15 minutes at least so how much longer would they drag this on for? After what seemed like another five minutes passed, he wanted to look down. He still had three strikes, so he could afford it, but his perfectionist nature ensured that as soon as his head tilted a small bit, he readjusted completely back and was stalwart for the remainder of the time. He was escorted back to his room, and there he waited, incredibly flustered. His meal came, and then there was another trial that came, this time more mundane; it was essentially a physical examination of how strong and fast he was with and without his quirk, before returning exhausted by the day.
This continued for the next four days. In a sort of pattern, the morning trail would be more along the lines of mind-based quizzes or puzzles that he would have to solve, followed by him just being what he could only describe as endurance training, like how much pain he would have had to suffer through for the girl in question before he just gave up, which he never did, but it was a near thing. The potency of the poison increased day by day. He thought he was going to die for one second, but surely they would not let that happen. The third trial was more about restraint, resisting the urges of the body, which he assumed was to screen for people who were simply there for the person's body, which he could respect. This test was the easier one he had to deal with mostly;
however, there was one time when they gave him some type of aphrodisiac, and several women attempted to seduce him, but when Silver Chain did so as well, coming at him with some very sexy lingerie, it was almost too much, and he couldn't touch them, but they could touch him all they liked. The last trial was just a bunch of miscellaneous things happening in cooking, survival, and, strangely enough, the arts, including dancing. By far, it was one of the worst performances he has had on the trials, but he did well enough on everything else so far, so he didn't mind it too much.
By the end of the 10th day, he was escorted to his room again and there he lay down again and was just waiting to feel tired enough to go to sleep but there was a knock at his door, strange since everyone just seemed to walk in without care so he tentatively walked towards the door cautious if this was a trap or not he peeked it open before opening it completely when he noticed that it was silver chain, she asked to enter and he permitted her to do so he was a bit nervous having her in there and he fixed himself before he faced her completely as the previous trial instantly flashed through his mind again and she wasn't wearing her mass-reducing clothing either so her breast was out on display at least through the fabric of her clothes.
However, when she revealed to him some sort of purplish-pink onigiri and placed it on the table in his room, he found things strange she explained to him that he would likely no will fail the last trial if he didn't eat whatever it was that she placed on the table, obviously he didn't believe her but she seemed to honestly be serious at that moment so his next question was what the object was and she explained that it was.
the monster cell but refined and duplicated it should offer an increase in power but not turn him into a monster, bakugo focused on the should part of her explanation but she explained further that the chances of turning into a monster are absolutely zero once a cooked monster cells start to die off but there was no telling if it would boost your power or not, so he was being used as a guinea pig in this situation he asked flatly and she nodded her head as she reiterated that the choice was his and that without it he had no chance of winning the last trial and despite his trangression on gainning power in such a fashion she understood he hated loosing more so she offered it to him the option and with that she left with a bow of her head, leaving Bakugo alone with the food and his thoughts on what he should do.
Bakugo paced around the food multiple times, his thoughts constantly clashing with each other. On the one hand, this was essentially a gift from the girl he was trying to court; she was helping him out; did that mean he was doing poorly? That was impossible, right? unless there some triple meaning behind each trial that he wasn't getting points for? That made him nervous, and what did she mean by saying that he had no chance of winning the last trial on his own without some sort of boost? Was it going to be that difficult?
He disliked being given a handout, and he didn't want to get stronger in this way. But the fact that she went this far for him was a good indicator of her true feelings for him, or was it bait by the clan to just test the thing on him instead of one of their own, they could do this at some other time if they wanted to, not during a trial?
He thought more about it and ultimately came to a decision: he couldn't keep being selfish in this regard. He tasked the others with getting stronger as best as they could, and the same should go with him, so he bit the bullet and ate the food, scarfing it down, although it tasted better than he thought it was going to be.
Regret flashed through his mind not 20 minutes later as his stomach started to toss and turn. He felt nauseous, full of energy, exhausted, dizzy, and aware all at the same time. He immediately moved towards the bathroom. He didn't know what was going to happen, but he knew that whatever was done there would be best done there, whether from up top or down below. He waited around there for several hours until he just passed out on the floor, his last thought flooding through his mind as he couldn't think of what a non-processed version of that would be like.
secrete bunker
Sonic had just spent the entire night on the toilet, having just emerged from his seemingly unending torment he believed that his monsterfiaction should have taken place although he didn't look very different. he cursed the monster association ninja that gave him that monster cell if there was a specific way that it was to be prepared before eating they should have told him to prevent himself from getting a stomach ache, he'll pay them back one day.
he didn't care about that, his body felt light he could feel the power coursing through his body it would take some time to get used to, his body is likely still adapting to the changes but one thing remains the same saitama you are still my one target and will die by my hand. I swear on the name Speed'o'sound Sonic
In reality, sonic only lost 2kg from diarrhea.
11th day: the final day was completely different from the rest, there no was no beginning trial of any kind just a normal day they even allowed him to walk around and they advised that he do some light exercises so that whatever was coming was likely to be fierce in some way or another, he didn't feel much different than he was the other day but his body did feel somewhat lighter than before and the weights that he usually lifted felt a little to light for him at this current stage so he was stronger than he was before he tested out a couple of explosions but other than being slightly larger he didn't recognize much of a change in that regard either well it was essentially a water version of the monster cell so he guessed this was about what he should have expected.
The day dragged on until the evening when he was escorted to a room where his equipment was laid down before him, which meant that he was going to fight something. So he put on his stuff and proceeded through the decorated doorway into an open arena of some kind. It was a closed-off place lit by a multitude of torches. As he stepped up to the stadium, he prepared himself, taking a moment to look around. As he proceeded towards the steps, there were many individuals in the stands, along with a forward booth with six individuals, whom he assumed were the elders.
As he crested the edge of the arena to pear on top, he was surprised to find a silver chain waiting for him on the other side, and he smirked well. Now it made sense why she was sure he would fail this trial; he hadn't beaten her once yet, and he doubted that would change now, but that didn't mean he wouldn't give it his all. As the match was about to begin, something felt off to him. The girl didn't have her clones with her, which Bakugo called into question, and he didn't like the answer he received from stating that such material in this battle was forbidden. If that were the case, Bakugo would go natural. As well, he cast off his gauntlets, making a few murmurs spread through the arena, which was silenced by a hand from one of the elders. One of them addressed them, asking if this was his final choice, and he nodded. He didn't want any excuses when he finally beat her, he said confidently with a smirk, and the elders confirmed his choice before proceeding with the match.
Bakugo initiated first as he usually did with several AP shots: machine-gun but bakugo watched as the girl dodged through the large orange orbs with grace before she disappeared and he felt a hard impact erupt from his stomach as he looked down and felt the girl's knee firmly planted their the pain was great but surprisingly manageable as he gripped the girl's knee and quickly attempted to fire off an explosion in the girls face but she was easily able to pivot the attack away from herself as the explosion launched off to the side instead and extended her leg with him on it with such force that he was forced to release his grip and fly upwards but he didn't mind that as it got him distance and allowed him to pepper the girl from above if he were a cheap person he would just stay at range to wear her down as it seemed she held no way to attack him or so he thought as she disappeared again from his sight but he knew that wherever she went she was likely trying to attack him so he used a large eplosison downwards and he barely avoided a kick that grazed his head which just from that made it throb in pain, so while the floor was out of bounds he guesed the walls were free game then he guessed.
Bakugo kept trying to do his best to stay at range and wear the girl down attempting to stay in air which made the fast girl attacks more predictable that way but that didn't mean he was stacking any really meaningful damage against her by the time his long-range attacks reached where he believed her to be she was already gone the only way he could score a meaningful attack was to aim for a counter hit at point blank range but that was a losing battle he would get worn out more than her so he pulled out all the stops and continuously used his cluster enhanced ability by gathering up his sweat spears and sending out around the arena he could imitate his C4 with his gauntlets although he had to manually detonate them with an explosion of his own which turned out to be somewhat of a positive cause now he could plan around it.
He glanced around the arena and could tell by the damage on the stone where the girl was jumping at to reach him in the air and he planed for that exact moment to send an ap-shots to detonoate them, this tripped the ninja up at least partially leaving her somewhat open which bakugo took full advantage of striking her hard in the gut but dam did that fee; like punching a brick wall so he launched another explosion point blank on her stomach as the girls leg slammed down on his back sending him crashing down into the ground and her slowing desecening down herself, bakugo quickly tried to get up and off agin but the girl was on him striking him numrous times with punches and kicks, he was able to make some space by firing off two explosion into the ground which imcomppused both of them along with several micro-explosions from the sweat globlues that had landed on the girl but the girl came dashing right back at him as the exposion fadded stircking him in the gut and with a hard kick that pushed him near the edges of the arena.
Bakugo quickly stabilized himself by grabbing onto the edge of the arena. He had attempted to bait the girl into attacking him, which he did, and he countered by exploding the part of the stage he was holding onto, making her overshoot and thinking she would hit the ground, but she didn't. As he went up, a sharp pain hit him in the back, sending him end-to-end to the other side of the arena. His arms were aching from the continuous explosions, let alone the use of the cluster for the last few minutes. Bakugo's body felt just like his spirit was on fire, as he wasn't going to throw in the towel just yet. He used his explosive speed to charge right at the girl. He surprised himself with how fast he got to her, and she seemed surprised as well. Her reaction came a split second too late to avoid another explosion, this time directly in the girl's face. This attack was pretty hard, and it budged the girl before making her slide back. This time it was Bakugo's turn to press the attack.
He didn't know where this extra burst of speed came from, but he wasn't going to let it go to waste. He was able to avoid one or two of her attacks while returning some of his own, but any attack of hers that landed felt even more damaging than ever before, and his body felt like it was breaking down. He needed to end this as soon as possible, so as soon as he felt that he had adequately built up enough sweat, he started to swirl around in his signature howitzer impact, but something went wrong. His body heated up once again, and he momentarily faltered. In the end, there was a large explosion that didn't just happen to him, but all around him. The only thing he felt next was a sharp pain ring through his head before everything went black.
12th day: Bakugo woke up groggy and tired as hell. He took a slight glance around and felt what he was lying on, which was not a bed or pillow but someone's lap instead, and going by his relatively blocked view, he could guess who it was.
"So I lost, huh?" Bakugo commented that his voice was coarse and dry, although he felt relatively hydrated.
"If you're referring to our last bout, then no, you won." Silver Chain remarked. Bakugo jerked at that, but he regretted it as he felt his body shake in pain.
I'm pretty sure you knocked me out at the end there," Bakugo asked.
"Indeed, the strike at the end was stronger than I intended, but you were heading toward the wall at a dangerous angle, so I stopped you from reaching it and touching the ground in the process," she admitted, so that was what it was.
"I take it that you are... disappointed by that news?" she asked.
"Hmph, normally yeah, I hate winning by technicalities, but... I guess in this case it's not so bad. So the trials are over. Did I pass?" bakugo asked.
"You did with decent marks," the silver chain complimented, and Bakugo smiled at that.
"I told you I could handle it." Bakugo commented with a smirk. He stretched for a moment to get off the girl's lap so that he could see her face and not just stare up at her boobs all day. His body felt heavy, whether that was due to the fight or something else he didn't know.
"That you did; however, you still ate the monster cell," Silver Chain remarked.
"Yeah, I did, but don't get too ahead of yourself; that wasn't only for you but for myself." Bakugo responded with a scoff, looking away bashfully, but that turned into a surprise when he felt the girl's lips grace his cheek.
"Well, thank you either way; while it wasn't a trial set up by the clan, it was a personal trial of sorts... I know how proud you are; you are partaking in that in consideration of me; even a little bit is a sign of your dedication, and I thank you for that." Silver Chain said, her voice, while flat as usual, took on a more sensual undertone that he, for some reason, really liked, but he had something more important on his mind at that moment.
"I didn't go through all that shit just for a kiss on the cheek." Bakugo responded roughly, surprising the girl for a moment, as despite his likely injuries, he quickly closed the distance between them and kissed the girl on the lips. While he was the one who initiated it, he didn't have much of a clue about kissing, so he let her lead it for the most part. They made out for around three minutes before Bakugo pulled away and settled back down, feeling content.
"I don't think that monster cell did much of anything anyway; I'm somewhat stronger than before, but other than that, I feel practically the same." Bakugo commented as he looked around the room, where he laid his eyes on his equipment and his phone, which they confiscated when he arrived. Hopefully, the thing was still charged, he thought as he got up to grab it.
"Yes, measuring your physical strength from before we gathered, you have become four times stronger than previously. Although during our battle there was a point in time nearing the end where something else had transpired, we do not know if this was the effect of the purified monster cell or just your unique biology. Your explosion from your body changed. They started to detonate on their own along your body as well, going off your autopsy. It seemed like explosions were going off inside your body, tearing it down from the inside, but in effect, it seemed to increase your speed significantly." Silver Chain explained.
Well, ponytail did say something about me having some other part of my awakening that I need to unlock, so maybe that was it." Bakugo suggested mostly off-hand as he focused on his phone. Someone may have found what he was doing disrespectful, but he was sure that she wouldn't find it that way as he powered up his phone and found it fully charged. Silver Chain mentioned that they did poke around his phone and equipment, and Bakugo simply rolled his eyes with a small chuckle. Of course, they did. He took his phone off, did not disturb, and was flooded with notifications from the group chat or direct messages, but nothing seemed to be especially going wrong, which he was ok with. Kirishima had gotten his awakening abilities mixed up, and it was something entirely different, and it was objectively better in his opinion.
Meanwhile, The others: Class 1A
Everyone had been pretty antsy about, Bakugo's sudden disappearance and what he could be doing at the moment, they all knew someone like bakugo wasn't an idiot and could take care of himself fairly well but this place was more dangerous than back home even with that was going on back there, which drew comparisons between all for one army and the league of villains versus the monster association of this world ultimately culminating that the monster association was the bigger threat between the two, especially considering the cadres that the monsters possess, there was some mild anxiety when bakugo couldn't be traced using his phone anymore all except for Kirishima which instantly drew suspicion to the redhead who through some prodding from Mina he eventually spilled that he wasn't alone out there but said nothing else.
Kirishima was surprised to find a note from Bakugo on the day of his departure. It read that he was leaving with a silver chain for some trials of some sort, but he didn't want him to tell anyone, which he guessed was if he failed. Although the idea that Bakugo had doubts about losing anything was pretty laughable, it was the only thing he could think of that would make sense why he didn't want him to tell anyone. He wished him luck, and the explosive teen, instead of denouncing even the suggestion of it as he thought would have been made, simply replied with thanks, which meant he had at least some doubts as he first thought, and he somewhat confided in him with it, showing how much he trusts him and that he wouldn't betray that trust by revealing what was happening to anyone. But when people started to show legitimate worry for their friend, he had to say something just so they didn't jump the gun. He would hate him, probably for life, if he betrayed his trust, but he would hate all of them if they ruined whatever he was going through by interfering.
Kirishima was a chivalrous person, and he wasn't the best at lying to people, so by that very same token, he wasn't that good at deflecting people's questions, especially Mina's, who constantly hounded him for information that he may be privy to that the rest of them were not about Bakugo. Eventually, she even asked for his phone to check if he was telling the truth, and he openly gave it to her since he had nothing to hide. He was just as lost as everyone else was with Bakugo and what he was doing, but others suggested that he knew for some reason and couldn't figure out why.
As Mina scrolled through his phone text messages and found nothing that wasn't indicative of anything given that he could just delete text messages between them, she kept searching through a couple of apps or things, but she stopped when she found something completely unrelated to Bakugo that completely ensnared her attention. What she found was a planned message to...her due at the end of the month, and it read that...he liked her more than a friend. She half laughed and swooned at the message as she switched the conversation to talk about it instead and what he was planning when the redhead told her how he liked her for some time and how he wanted to ensure that he told her; he even had the thing passcode locked, which he submitted blind, so he couldn't chicken out, making her and some of the others aww at the redhead's commitment to her.
Mina had gone for a hug at that very moment, and while pleasant, it was slightly hindered by Kirishima's hardened state. Both he and Midoriya and even Sato were advised by their teachers to get more accustomed to their powered-up forms of Kirishima's unbreakable and Midoirya's 100%. This had mixed results, at least on the part of Midoirya, with their numerous doors and utensils being broken just by him picking them up and trying to use them. So he had dedicated material made to handle that power until he had a better chance of holding back, sato was mostly so his body could get used to expanding to such an extent three pills were his limit at a time so he would walk around in that supped upstate so his body could get used to it, he had some similar problems to midoirya but with accidentally breaking things but to a much smaller extent he also grew larger and he to become accustomed to the larger size he grew to be nearly 7ft tall with that and his muscles noticeably widened and looked on the verge of busting most of the time which looked and as he would describe as painful some times, Kirishima was the odd one out in this grouping he didn't have a problem breaking anything since his awakening allowed him to hardened everything he touched although it did present a problem when he wanted to drink stuff so he did have to be careful about that when it happened but overall it was fine well at least for him, Mina had more of a problem with it then anything for better or worst he was pretty dedicated so when his teacher dumbly said that he should work to stay hard 24 hours he defintly attemped it and all of his time was spent in his hardned state wether unbreakable or just normal which proved a probelm even with his awakenking when the girl wanted to cuddle with him.
cuddling while hardened was like rubbing two rocks together sure it was ok and still intimate but not how it could be and she never really complained about it due to it being admittedly not that big of a deal but she wanted a regular hug now given what she just read and did a little begging and maybe some over dramatized remarks here and there to pressure him a bit and for a moment it seemed to work as she noticed that his skin and armor fell away and returned to normal but as she went to hug him, he was soft entirely way to soft she didn't even feel his skeleton at all and she freaked out quickly pushing away from him while screaming and this got the room's attention and more from people who heard her yell from the upper floors.
Kirishima was just as confused about the girl as well, who seemingly flipped out for no reason, but taking a look at himself, he could see what was happening. His body was seemingly deformed by Mina's hug just now, and it was slowly setting back into place like normal. Kirishima explained that he never released his hardening, and he proved it by relinquishing his power, and his more "deflated" sections completely popped back into being normal again, and Mina tested it by poking him in the head multiple times as a test.
Everyone was curious about what had just happened and looked at Midoriya, who was continually murmuring something to himself. The first thing he asked was to explain the situation that led up to the situation, and Mina re-explained it, and Midoriya nodded before going into thought again. He then asked Kirishima about what he was thinking or feeling about Mina's question, and he explained his thought process of how he hoped that he could both please Mina while continuing to practice and become softer so that she could be more comfortable. It was at that moment that people thought it began to click, believing that his quirk was similar to Mina's and that she could change her state of mind by thinking about it.
They all ran some test runs about several of them and had Kirishima merely think about something but it had no effect so the next logical approach offered by Tokoyami was that he may need some external stimuli of some kind due to it originally happening from Mina's proposal so they went outside the home and started with more experimentation and Mina was first so, she did something simple this time phase shifting into her plasma state and using her plasma man and started to approach Kirishima, who thought hard as the girl approached and the one thing he hoped to do was stay cool and as she was in a couple of steps from him he realized something his body temperature was dropping but not only that his hardened features started to turn rather blue/and white almost like his body was turning to ice and as Mina held out a hand he took it and a massive amount of steam was created as the two of their abilities canceled each other out. The class was partially blown away as the steam cleared. They were shocked as both Mina and Kirishima walked out, clouded in plasma.
Kirishima's red and Mina's purple were mixed in the center, where their hands touched. As the two of them let their quirk powers go, Kirishima stated his theory about what was happening. He remarked that he thinks his body is adapting to what he is doing. He initially wanted to stay cool, so his body lowered his body temperature to that, and then he tried to match his temperature with her, so his body changed to accommodate that, which was what was happening with the plasma going on around him. He immediately called it Red Riot: Adaptable.
There were many rumbles around the class, and even more tests were commenced to see it in action. The next person to try was Toru, mostly out of sheer curiosity about what would happen if she took away his vision and how his body would adapt that way. This was very interesting; he described how he could see them, and it almost seemed like a sort of echolocation. This went on for some time before people calmed down again and were ready to go back inside their homes. There was a brief moment where something seemingly connected with Toru, and she asked him to remember and then forget a four-digit code that she gave him, and his body did so, which for some reason caused another commotion to commence between her and Mina about what happened when they were showing off their awakened quirks again, but he was just confused about what they were referring to.
Back to Bakugo
bakugo finished reading everything and thought about how he should make his announcement, he thought about it for a moment before just grabbing Silver Chain by the waist and taking a picture together, and sending it in the group chat, despite the impromptu gesture the girl was still able to make it seem super planed but not only that kissed his cheek as well but he didn't really take the moment to actually analyze how the picture looked until after he had already sent it to the group chat and there was a moment in time where there was nothing but silence and calm and then the next minute later it exploded with numerous messages most of which was from six individuals in particular and he was searching through his contacts but he was to slow to mute certain people in question he had already started to receive calls which he promptly ignored much to the delight of the girl next to him after having muted enough people he received a call from kirishima and while he was tempted to also decline it, he answered it but that was a mistake as Mina's voice shreeked through his phone and he cut it off immediate after that.
He scrolled through his contacts a few more times and caught up on the wild chat messages after the six people who kept spamming were also muted for 30 minutes. He called Midoriya, and given his shocked tone, he wasn't expecting his call.
His childhood friend congratulated him on getting a girlfriend, but he was slightly angered when he heard Uraraka's voice chime in the background. It was after Midoriya thought with a chuckle, which ticked him off enough to yell at the two of them. He truly didn't even know why he called this idiot, but he reminded him when he asked about when he would be coming back, and he replied that he would be back on the day of the festival, and Midoriya pointed out that Kirishima had been the one to pick out his Kamino, and if that was alright, Bakugo said that it was fine.
He also murmured the last bit about the customs of a festival with a significant other, and Bakugo just remarked that he had that taken care of, which surprised the green boy, but his response died in his throat as a surprised gasp came from Uraraka again, who seemed to suggest that Mina was somehow phasing through the door. Kirishima, likely with his new ability, questioned how she even knew that the two were talking, and the erratic pink girl only remarked that she could "hear" the love! and he heard Kirishima also yell out an apology for letting Mina have his phone, but Bakugo just yelled, Go die, before hanging up the phone and setting it down to the side.
"Your friends are just as excitable as ever," Silver Chain remarked.
"Tell me about it. Oh, and that thing about not talking to them, you can just forget it, not that you listed it in the first place." bakugo responded.
"I followed your orders," Silver Chain responded simply.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. You didn't speak with them." Bakugo said before he lay back on the large bed that, wherever they were, it was much larger than the bed he had beforehand.
"Indeed," the silver chain said, laying down as well, and Bakugo briefly stiffened at that.
"Ugh, you're not going to leave?" bakugo asked
"Why would I do that? The trials are over; you won. We were given our room away from the others to commemorate the accomplishment." Silver Chain said, and Bakugo's face blushed significantly at the implications.
"I don't think I'm ready for that just yet," Bakugo replied simply in a low voice.
"I'm not implying that we need to do it now, but generally that is what happens. For now, I'm sure you're hungry, so we could get some food and rest." Silver Chain remarked, and to Bakugo, that did sound good. He stretched and felt several of his bones pop before resetting themselves back into place, and he rolled and got up out of bed, testing himself. He still felt like shit, so he wanted to go take a shower first, and hopefully he would feel somewhat better.
The girl offered to take it with him, which he quickly declined before excusing himself. Bakugo returned and was ready to head outside. Now that he didn't have the tension of the trials to commit to, he took in the sights of the small village and its uniqueness. It held a somewhat similar culture to Japan but was extremely dated in comparison to their world, and another thing he noticed, which he asked Silver Chain about, was that all the ninjas in the clan were female, which she confirmed to be the case. It was another of the reasons why she chose this place to directly oppose the village Flash was from.
The two of them ate and took a walk around the place. Most of the useless utilities were getting torn down, likely due to their group being about to move as the month was nearing its end. He asked about some of the smaller ninjas that he had seen around and what they do all day, and she simply responded that they train to get stronger before leaving the world. Most of the questions he asked about the place were met with vague answers like that, but the one question he did get that was serious was: How did everyone enter this place? He questioned, Did they all use those living metal clones that she does?
But that wasn't quite the right opening to the sanctums; they were individual-specific. It was one of the reasons why they had to send a message beforehand so that they could know who was coming back and what to set up for. While all of the ninjas were generalists and could work with any kind of weapon of their choice, they all also specialized in utilizing something unique to them. It helped people express themselves through the uniformity of the clan itself.
They walked around for some time before returning to their secluded little hut. He had woken up at the tail end of the evening, meaning he had been unconscious for an entire day, and then, somehow, it was already nighttime, and surprisingly, he was still tired enough to go to sleep right away. But there was a new problem ailing him: how would they sleep? He had heard and seen the thing called spooning, but he didn't know how comfortable that would be. Would she want to even do that?
The bed was large enough for the two of them to be equally separated without hanging off the side of the bed, so they could just sleep normally. Not being able to decide and not being one to completely disregard their partner's thoughts either, he went to ask her about her thoughts on the matter, but the girl, as always, mostly just treaded neutrally; she reminded him of his father that way, but maybe she was just trying to be polite; if she wanted to and he didn't, she knew that he would force himself to cooperate with her, and the same would likely go with her as well in the reverse. So instead of harping on it so much, he wanted to take a gamble and push himself, so he decided that they were going to sleep together. Despite the size difference, he wanted to be the big spoon. However, there was a slight hesitance to her answer that he didn't like, so he immediately leaped to investigate.
"What's up? If you don't want to just say so, Bakugo replied semi-aggressively.
"It's not about not wanting to... It's just that leaving myself defenseless to you was somewhat cornering," Silver Chain remarked.
"Why?" Bakugo asked immediately.
"This may sound a bit unorthodox to you, but baku."
"Katsuki, call me Katsuki," Bakugo said, but it was more like a demand.
"Right, your world's customs of names. Well, Katsuki, you could say that I'm rather nervous that you may kill me." silver chain straightly, and despite nothing about her indicating that it was a joke, Bakugo couldn't help but belch out a large laugh. Was she serious about this sh*t?
"Are you serious? I can't even beat you in a fight, let alone kill you." Bakugo asked, completely baffled by such a concern.
"It's not the attempt that would bother me, but what it would represent." The silver chain clarified, and Bakugo understood that everything he did was just a bluff to get her to lower her guard. No doubt she was likely just going off her own experience in doing that same thing, so he didn't press her on it. Instead, he quickly moved to her and kissed her again for a moment. He attempted to take more control of it this time, and she allowed him to do so, but he was still inexperienced, so it didn't feel as good as the previous one, but he didn't care as he pulled back.
"Fair enough, given your background, I guess that's a valid but dumb concern to have. How about this? I'll sleep with my back to you this time, and tomorrow we switch." bakugo offered.
"That is agreeable," Silver Chain said with a nod, and Bakugo led the girl to the bed, getting in himself. The girl followed after him despite her large size; her getting into the bed felt rather unnoticeable until he felt her hands circle him and something press against the back of his head. He might have forgotten about two big things when he offered this arrangement, but instead, as his face flushed for a moment combined with the softness of that and the girl's hands, which ran over his chest, he had to fight his body not to react as he threw his mind somewhere else, like she was teaching him to, but that failed immediately as he heard the girl's soft voice whisper into his ear, her voice fully sensual.
"Katsuki, my name is Sylvia." Sylvia told him, and for a moment, he forgot about his cardinal desires and looked back at her.
"That's a wonderful name," Bakugo commented simply as he pecked her on the lips once more before heading off to sleep.
